I I'm I'm hoping to see fight you know there's going to be some Young Ones playing uh and some of the older ones uh patient fight and patience from the older ones the rainbow wah opened the 2024 slate this weekend against Southern Methodist University in the wah volleyball Classic this mustang Squad is formidable with 26 wins last year on the way to an NCAA tournament birth it's going to be amazing I mean like I said uh we've been waiting for this for a long time and we've been working for it for a long time too so it's going to be exciting yeah players are well aware of the high expectations that come with this program uh enters this year as the reigning big West champions riding a streak of 30 straight appearances in the big dance yeah I think really we just have to focus on um what we've learned in practice just executing what we need to execute um doing the things we need to do um and making it all work together this will be a new look team with three returning starters like monola grad T eek Naga one of five Hawai born players on the roster among the local girls are two freshmen in Kam's Adriana arette and University lab's Milana Sylvester the latter looking to fill the void left by All-American Amber II another returner outside hitter kaln Alexander who's embracing a leadership role for her Junior campaign I think now I'm kind of in that mindset where it's just like how can I help the team get to where we need to be and so that's been a little bit challenging of figuring out how to like talk to everyone and how to just like get everyone in the same boat so yeah different kayin from freshman year from last year just a different energy she brings um we didn't think she could get more physical and she's definitely a lot more physical than last year uh her talk and her communication with you know the the new girls and then you know the older ones is I mean it's just on point like she's definitely doubting so whatever she just said she's definitely doing that first serve is set for Friday night at 700 and the bows will also play San Diego on Sunday reporting in Mano couch andn Hawaii news now Sports
