Dalvin Cook low risk move, Noah Brown and John Ridgeway on the move

know that this literally does not work I hope everybody's having a great day we have some really interesting news here man this is crazy so here's one good thing if you are a former Dallas Cowboy player you will get work you will find a job you will sign PL sign in places all over the place so Washington the commanders with the left hand up have been kind of busy you know they're trying to get the roster and stuff together they have signed Noah Brown AKA Clifford Franklin and um yeah they've signed him and they have traded this is one of those it hurts me every time I see this um I really like John Ridgeway I really and truly like John Ridgeway I think Dan Quinn wasn't a big fan of him Dan Quinn likes his defensive lineman you know long and lean and skinny and quick and all that he doesn't like the big head Headbangers and that's exactly what John Ridgeway is so John congratulations going to New Orleans you going to eat some really good food that is the best place to go if you are a defense alignment and you ain't worried about your body the shrimping grits oh my God and and of course the Poor Boys oh my God man man yeah you're goingon to like being in New Orleans especially with my main man Demario Davis uh John Ridgeway make sure you tell Demario I said hello but um yeah we've got movement and stuff all over the place with the commanders congratulations to both of those former Dallas Cowboys players and so here's an interesting thing and um I haven't gotten the numbers yet for what Dalvin cook numers going to be um my buddy Clarence missing an action he was texting me and asking me what I thought about the move and things well clearly the Cowboys weren't satisfied with their running back room because of all the people that they've uh you know least and cut Malik Davis is back as well um Zeke of course is 29 years old Dalvin cook is also 29 years old and Jerry Jones literally said you know 29 and 29 is 58 which is how old I am yeah that's a coincidence isn't it um I'm going to say Dalvin cook is a lowrisk R High reward this could end up being like Eddie George Eddie George came here he was completely spent we got nothing out of really Eddie George um of course all the hype of oh man we got Eddie George but it wasn't the same Eddie George that you saw that was playing you know in the Super Bowl that one year or it might be Darren mcfaden because Darren mcfaden we looked at who was averaging the last three years 3.3 yards and he ended up turning it around you know he actually played really really well for us in 2014 and 20 uh 2015 um and 2016 actually I think he was still on the roster but 2015 when we had Tony Romo out he was a thousand yard rusher and he didn't start starting until like the third or fourth game and it ended up being that him coming to Dallas behind the Dallas Cowboys offensive line rejuvenated what he was doing and this is where you could look at somebody like dvin cook who was injured last year or coming off injury shoulder injury going to the Jets now you'd been with the Minnesota Vikings that every year you were good team you know sometimes a playoff team sometimes not but you were always a really good team you go to the Jets a team you've got no allegiance to different conference and you get Aaron Rodgers gets hurt right off the bat it's a bad team you know this team's going nowhere and I'm not sure that you that he would have given full effort I'm not sure anybody on that team gave full effort with as bad as that team was um but maybe having because he didn't have a whole lot of carries last year which is good I think only 67 so you think about he didn't get a lot of wear and tear from last year yes the numbers were abysmal but the year before Pro bow Player 11 00 yards and he had like four years in a row of that so when you think of signing him to the practice squad I don't know what the contract is I know the deal he signed with the Jets was 5 million with uh incentives that could have been up to seven we know it's not going to be more than what that was in fact I think it's going to end up being quite a bit less but you'll have a chance to go ahead and hopefully do something and um yeah I I I actually think that this is a good thing if I can get 10 good plays out of him 10 good plays a game out of Zeke you know and uh say 10 good plays out of uh Rico we're okay and the other part of this I'll say is one thing when you look at what most teams are doing now you don't have the one bellweather back you end up having running back by committee and I think think in the long run you may not have a running back who is as great as you know Zeke was when in his early days or saquin when he wasn't injured in his early days but I think what happens is you only have so many hits on your body and by the end of the year you TR traditionally don't see the great running backs that rely on the Run teams going very far in the playoffs anymore because I think what happens is you're relying on that one guy and after all of the hits all the games that you have going into the playoffs they're just worn down they're not as effective they're not as quick and they're not breaking the tackles the same way and I think we've seen that with Zeke Elliott with the exception of his rookie year where we played the Green Bay Packers he had like 125 yards in all of the playoff games that we played I think that's the only one that he did typically at least the last couple of playoff games Zeke played in he was in the low three if that and some of those in the twos because I think his body was worn out PCL injury hyperextended knees so this may be a good thing having this rotation of running backs that you're not going to wear everybody out by the time playoffs get here only time will tell but this is basically it's a rental uh for Dalvin cook and you remember people last year were screaming sign Dalvin cook sign Dalvin cook well yes he's a year older but he didn't get much more wear and tear on it and um I'm just in the process of getting caught up with all the news that is that is I've been on the road and then in incapacitated taking care of some other stuff for the last couple hours so I am kind of like just getting caught up on everything and so on and the Alienware over here that computer is going to go down to the red brick house because the laptop that I have is just not powerful enough you know it crashes on a regular basis and things and this one which actually is tied to I've got four monitors here and then there's four monitors over there and four monitors that are outside um since it's about 3 years old it's been through quite a bit so we're going to put it in the retirement home the red brick house where it won't have quite as much work to do and we'll make the new one it's uh the main stay here yeah we're going to put him to work just like just like stepen Jones talking about putting C lamb to work all right
