‘If OU had Texas’ schedule we would be asking is the SEC ready for Oklahoma'

Norman's ready. Heck, Notre Dame's come to town; Ohio State's come to town. Alabama's been here. Norman's ready. Traffic jams are traffic jams. You can't get away from them. Is OU ready? I think so? I don't know that they were ready for the brutal schedule they were given. If they had Texas' schedule, we'd be writing about "is the SEC ready for Oklahoma?" But it went the other way. I don't expect a championship in year one, because even if the Sooners produce an excellent team, which they could, the schedule is just so brutal. Six teams ranked above them in the AP poll are among the eight SEC conference games they play. It's a really rugged schedule, but I like their team. I like their roster. I think they are in good shape to compete well in the SEC.
