TJ hackinson is uh coming off of a 127 Target 95 reception 960 yard 5 touchdown season that was shortened by a uh by a knee injury heading down the stretch thoughts on TJ hackinson we're still waiting on a real timetable for when hackinson is going to be back onto the field but for what you get out of this player he is absolutely worth grabbing at tight end 13 and the reason he is absolutely worth grabbing is you don't you just don't have tight ends in this range who can be the clear number one for an entire game and and TJ hackinson absolutely can be uh the Vikings traded for him for a reason they absolutely scheme him into game plans yes he's going to be a slow starter but that's why he's going in tight end two range when you're drafting him um but I tell you what it makes it it makes me feel a heck of a lot better if I have know if I'm going to take a George KD right and you feel like you really need George KD I'm probably going to really try and pair it up with hackinson because if KD gets dinged up and hackinson is coming back you're getting that same level of of tight end right and you just don't have that opportunity come at you very often so I really like hackinson I think uh he's slowly starting to creep up draft boards as we continue to get it closer to the regular season I expect that Trend to continue but right now with him going in tight end two range even at 13 I'm grabbing him for the back half of the Season like that I'm already planning the long game and saying that he'll come back he'll get healthy and regardless of who the quarterback is darnold or McCarthy hackinson is going to be involved in this offense because they they scheme him open on purpose and they design plays specifically for him and in this grouping of tight ends you just don't have that as often as you do the the true tier one even kind of that second tier of tight end it's where hackinson belongs he's just coming back from an injury so grab him stash him right especially if you can throw them in an IR spot you just stash them right away and you wait and you sit back for the back half of your season and then you're able to ride hackinson into the playoffs where he's coming off the board in in an 11th round type of pick yeah there's there's a tremendous amount of value with that one right like there's not many guys that you can pick up in the 11th round that can be a game Cher for you down the stretch in the back half of your your fantasy season there and towards the fantasy playoffs does it does it give me some hesitation and some pause with the the knee injury and spending my 11th round pick on a guy that's that may not see the uh the field for the first eight games maybe a little bit but not enough that I'm going to actively shy away from that one especially when you know if I go that route and I can I can play some streaming tight ends right like some of the guys we've already kind of covered tonight with the Luke Musgraves the Tyler Conlin the Kate utton some of these guys that kind of get me through until uh until you can get there and and kind of bring that thing home when he returns to the lineup there uh because you're right like if if TJ Hawkinson was healthy entering this season you're talking easily top three top four tight end off the board right like that kind of uh that kind of range is is what the the outcome can be with that one so I you know I like it and I like the value um I what I would caution people about is as drafting gets closer and that ADP because I in the 11th I think that's a steal where I think he ends up getting up to in that seventh eighth round you know that's where I start start really kind of holding some caution to it
