Should Raiders be CONCERNED with Brock Bowers Injury? + Andrus Peat NEW POSITION

Brock Bowers Injury a Concern? so the Raiders have a guy that actually ended up getting hurt two weeks ago and people are now kind of concerned about it a little bit that's tight end Brock Bowers one of the Raiders best offensive Playmakers a guy who's a phenomenal football player a guy that dominated in like 11 snaps in preseason but some people are concerned about that foot and we're going to talk about it plus Andre p is apparently playing right guard for the Raiders now in Camp and we're going to talk about that and lastly there's also some quarterback talk that's kind of started because of the game yesterday NDSU versus Colorado Colorado obviously has a great quarterback we're going to finish the video talking about that but let's get right into this Brock Bowers news because some people are actually concerned about it some people are actually thinking that Brock Bowers may miss time this season now if you guys don't know this Brock Bowers actually had an injury last year on his foot specifically his ankle and he had to get surgery on that ankle it's called the tight rope surgery it only took him about two weeks to actually recover and and kind of be back but uh some people are saying that is that the injury that's impacting him at this point now keep in mind that was an ankle and at this point we're not 100% sure what it is uh some of the Raiders beat reporters are saying it's a sore foot that he has and I'm not sure how accurate that is in itself because I think that's kind of what Antonio Pierce has said but we don't really know what's kind of happening with Brock Bowers but Antonio Pierce was asked about it yesterday and he had some interesting things to say about it an just curious about um Brock Bowers you we haven't seen him out there practice for a few weeks couple is he are you guys still pretty comfortable that he's going to be able to be out there on Sunday against charger yeah I feel really good about that to be honest just again I'm GNA go back to protecting a young guy that you know sometimes you get in the league you you know you go to be smart sometimes you got to protect them for themselves so that's all it is so to me what Antonio Pierce is saying is basically we're just being smart with him right now we're just holding him out to make sure he doesn't end up getting hurt further or you know just to make sure that he's ready to go come week one and Antonio Pierce to be fair is telling us that Brock Bowers should be good to go right there's a really really good chance he's essentially going to play uh his words exactly were that he feels quote really good about his chances to play against the Los Angeles Chargers but that also is not saying that he will 100% play right he's just saying that's it's a really really good chance that he'll play you know it's interesting to me because although this is not the game week right Monday's right around the corner right we're two or three days away from that time actually coming where the Raiders start that first practice to actually start getting ready for the Chargers now of course they've probably been preparing for the Chargers for like two weeks at this point but the Raiders will be playing the Chargers and they will now be actually going out there and getting ready to play the Chargers come this next week and I think it's pivotal that if you're a rookie you know it's already hard enough the fact the speed's going to be a lot different but there's going to be a lot of coaching elements as well that you're going to have to be prepared for and if Brock bars isn't able to practice if he's not able to be out there on the field to me that is kind of a concern and it is something to just kind of keep an eye on as we enter next week uh the injury report next week should drop sometime around Tuesday or Wednesday that'll be the first official injury report you know and if Brock Bowers is doubtful at on that first one we'll know that he's probably not going to play but if he's questionable then that's a good sign right that means he's probably going to end up playing but I think it is important to just kind of keep an eye on it because I think Brock bars changes this offense you know when the Raiders first drafted Brock Bowers I had this mindset that tight end don't always have an impact right away Travis Kelce George KD even Michael Mayer this past season really didn't have success and you know young tight ends don't have a lot of success in their first season or two right it takes time and I question the Brock Bowers pick but I realized watching his preseason tape Brock Bowers is not most tight ends this guy's literally a generational tit ENT he's just different he moves different the way he you know has the ball in hands and is able to you know beat people that's different his route running is different uh Brock B is a different type of type of football player right he's he's labeled a tight end but he's not really a tight end right this guy's just an allaround playmaker on the offensive side but to have him is going to allow the Raiders to have success I think Brock Bowers and Devonte Adams you know Devonte Adams is obviously better today but you know within a year or so people are going to say Brock Bowers is a top two or three tight end I I really feel that so I'm Byron Young gets Claimed excited for Brock BS hopefully he's able to get healthy uh in some other news the Raiders had waved Byron young in the hopes that he would pass through the waivers and he did not the Philadelphia Eagles have actually claimed Byron young the former Raiders third round pick keep in mind the Raiders did want to bring this guy back right that's the official reports that are coming out of the Raiders Camp right now the Raiders wanted Byron young back but the Philadelphia Eagles felt that they saw some upside in this kid and they are claiming him and they're bringing him to the Raiders you know one of the things that kind of sucks with the Raiders right now and it's not a bad thing right is that defensive line is incredible even the linebackers right being able to find aari Gainer it's it's deep as hell right and so with that you're going to have to make some tough Cuts you're going to have to cut guys like Matthew Butler you're going to have to cut guys like Baron young and you cut those guys in the hopes you can bring them back and although we brought back Matthew Butler we weren't able to bring back Byron young he got claimed through the process so the Eagles who have a really really good general manager saw enough from Byron young that he felt like you know it made sense to bring him in you know if there's one team that could get Byron Young's career kind of turned around I think the Eagles are are one of those teams um I would have personally loved for Byron young to come back to the Raiders it does suck because there is still upside with bar right he still has potential defensive tackles always take the the you know there's two t there's two positions in the NFL that you're not going to have success right away defensive tackle one of them tight ends the other right those two positions it takes time to develop and with Baron young I think he can still develop and unfortunately the Raiders are never going to get to see that now for the Eagles to claim Byron young the Raiders do get some cap relief from that uh the Eagles will now be responsible to take on his contract and he's a third round pick so that's actually really really beneficial to the Raiders at least in the short term but Byron young will not be with the Raiders but we will definitely be checking in on him maybe in a year or so we'll we'll kind of see where he's at he's always been an intriguing player in my opinion uh he is headed to the Eagles he'll now get to play with guys like Jaylen Carter Jordan Davis and on top of that he'll now be coached by a really really good defensive coordinator so we'll see what ends up happening with Byron young but it is interesting that the Eagles felt that he could be a guy that could help Andrus Peat new position them let's sh Focus let's get into some offensive line talk to me this is interesting as hell but Andre Pete has if you guys don't know this been actually taking Snaps at R guard this is interesting news if you guys ask me because Andre Pete for all a training camp only took snaps that left tackle he literally took zero snaps at any other position in Camp meaningful snaps right not like we're hitting a bag so you know we'll get three guys to line up not like that I'm talking about actual first team snaps second team snaps Andre P took no other snaps other than left tackle and now that colt Miller's back from what I've heard it was it started last week the guy started taking Snaps at Right Guard and this week we actually got a video of that right so this week we got a video of Andre Pete taking some snaps with the first team offense you you can see Andre James in in that you can see the mford in that so Andre Pete is taking Snaps at the first team unit and I started thinking a little bit more about this and I actually posted a tweet on Twitter that got a lot of interaction some people are like hey we should give every opportunity to Dylan parum we should give every opportunity to let him really develop but and I think people often times forget this but when you're an offensive tackle that's a completely different position than when you're an offensive guard see when you're an offensive tackle often times you don't have anyone to the left or to the right side right depending on what side you play so Andre Pete was a left tackle so there's no one to his left side so what that means is when that defensive end goes all the way far to the outside he lines up into y n if he plays that that technique where he's lined up super super far to the outside what that means is Andre P when he gets out into his pass blocking set he has to get out in space so when he gets out in space right he takes four five steps in his vertical set and he gets out in space now what happens is he's lined up against a defensive end where he doesn't have help to the inside he doesn't have help to the outside because the guy has to get out in space and essentially you're now playing in space and now it's an athletic game now the physicality you have doesn't matter as much right because a quicker defense event can hit you with an inside move an outside move and as a tackle to play in space it's a lot different than when you're a guard and as a guard you're not playing in space as a guard you have a guy to your left you have a guy to your right on top of that you're not taking you know four four defenses of Endz on you're taking guys that are going to be on the stronger side guys that are on a little bit you know slower side and to me Bing a guard is a lot easier and Andre p as a guard was a pro bowl guard and I think people forget that because when I posted this this tweet on Twitter a lot of people were saying it doesn't make sense Andre Pete's garbage he showed us in pre's a bad football player but remember tackle guard two different positions in my opinion if the Raiders rolled out there in week one and they wanted the best offensive line out there what makes S is to put Pete at Right Guard and then to make sure Jackson P Johnson Starts at left guard now I know the Jackson P Johnson starting at left guard might not happen right away I know Antonio Pierce has kind of been putting it out there that you know with Jackson parizon who kind of want to slow him into the process he hasn't played in Camp but I do also want you guys to realize something Jackson Paris Johnson has now been back for you know at this point it's been like 10 plus days where he's already been practicing and we still got you know another what what is it eight nine days until the actual first game of the season that's like 20 days of practice plus to me 20 days of practice is way more than enough for you to get comfortable and get out there and and actually be able to start week one uh to me if the Raiders want to beat the Chargers you go out there with the best offensive line and I think from left tackle to right tackle the Raiders would have bullies on the front with CT Miller with Jackson P Johnson Andre James andr Pete and the mford I think that that would be a phenomenal offensive line for the Raiders maybe you swap out the mford for DJ glaz just really depends on what the Raiders think but I think putting Pete in at Right Guard gives us more upside Dyan parm struggled a little bit in uh in the preseason right he struggled handling power and don't get me wrong you know if Dylan Palm starts I'm cool with it but to me I think the Raiders would be better off putting Andrew Pete at Right Guard maybe the switch happens down the line but he is playing the right guard position finally Raiders Fans ALL IN on Shedeur Sanders let's talk about shadur Sanders quarterback of the Colorado Buffalo let's talk about this guy man you know what's interesting about shadir Sanders is I watched a lot of this guy tape last year and last year he did not look like an NFL quarterback to me right one of the things this guy would do a lot is he'd get out of the pocket too early he wasn't playing within the structure of the offense he didn't look great out there right or at least from a tape perspective it was not great but this guy put a lot of effort in this offseason right I think the reports were he's worked with like Tom Brady or Payton Manning I forget who it was he's worked with some uh former NFL wide receivers right like to has been working with him as well kind of training him what what to do for the NFL game and to me shadir Sanders looked phenomenal yesterday 445 yards four touchdowns he did throw an interception but the interception that he threw was kind of like a freak interception uh I think he threw the pass and it hit a guy's leg that was like laying on the ground or a guy that fell hit the guy's leg they popped up and someone caught it um but he was on on fire last night and again not just the statistical part of it but just the way this guy was moving there are multiple plays on tape last night that I saw from this guy where he climbed the pocket he made a phenomenal pass he got out of the pocket because he was instantly pressured he reset the feet made a phenomenal pass and I'm not the only guy that noticed this right other people have already noticed this as well specifically Las Vegas Raider fans and some of them are now saying shadir Sanders is such a Las Vegas Raider it makes my teeth hurt you got Raider rain here saying that shadir Sanders is a raider and there's a lot of other people kind of talking about this now you know I don't want to get into college quarterback talk because I'll be the first to tell you guys I have trust in Garder MTO to actually have success for the Raiders on top of that I think it makes sense for the Raiders to be fully invested in the guys we have right now right it doesn't make sense to say hey let's start tanking the season let's go out and get this this Colorado quarterback first and foremost I I you know I think it's important to realize we don't even know if he's going to be the number one quarterback on top of that we also don't know where the Raiders will pick so there's just a lot more to it and if I'm a Raider fan right now I'm actually excited for Garder muu to kind of see what we can do this season I think the Raiders are a really really solid team I don't think they're going to pick in the top 10 this year uh in fact I think our team this year is a lot better than the team last year across the board literally every single position we are better this year I don't see how the Raiders don't make the playoffs this year right uh but regardless it's interesting nonetheless that a lot of Raider fans are excited to watch shad Sanders um you know and and and me talking positive about him is is not to say that I think the Raiders should go Target him it's more so just to talk a little bit about college football because I'm doing a lot more college football work this year man now some of you guys know this right I obviously took a job with the hulao to work as a scout but what people don't know is I'm also doing work a lot further beyond that right it's you know I have NFL agents that I'm providing reports to I have a CFL team that is relying on me for certain reports now obviously they probably have other guys as well but like you know I'm essentially starting my own scouting agency right I'll be hiring people to just try to go down this line of of you know analyzing College talent and shadir Sanders is one of the guys that although I don't really focus on quarterbacks he's one of the guys that really impressed me yesterday and I know it was against North Dakota State but North Dakota state is one of the best FCS schools over the last 10 years right in fact I would argue northa State like would be most FBS schools right like I think sack state for example is an FBS school don't quote me on that uh San Jose State I think NDSU would beat s San Jose State or they would you know compete with them um I think NDSU probably has more NFL players coming out over the last 5 10 years than a lot of these other schools right like legit FBS schools so uh you know I think for shadir Sanders to have that type of game fired me up um and I do have a separate Channel where I do college content content so if you guys are interested in that I'm going to pin that down in the comments below go check that channel out Brandon Facyson Released and then finally let's end this video on a positive note talking about the Raiders I guess it's not positive but the Raiders have released Brandon fa and I think it's positive to to have this specifically because of one of the things I was hearing this this past week this past Camp uh and if you guys don't know this so Brandon fac has been released with an injury settlement from the Las Vegas Raiders um one of the things that actually happened yesterday was actually it happened two days ago at this point was that Tom Tesco talked about Bron facing right he talked about why his roster spot was never in Jeopardy right he he's a starting level cornerback that's had a tough run of luck the interesting thing with Tom Tesco saying essentially that is that a lot of people started feeling that that means Brandon fa's going to come back and the job is his right Jor Bennett is not going to start he might not be good enough for for Tom Tesco to say he's a starting level quarterback means he's going to be the guy for the Raiders but of course the Raiders have officially released Brandon facon and releasing him is not the good thing the good thing is I think the Raiders released Brandon faon because of the fact that they are confident in the guys that they do have right MJ devenshire was released but the Raiders brought him back to the practice squad uh camman Richardson has actually made the active roster Sam Webb's back with the practice squ uh jakorian Bennett has looked good right joran Bennett and in Camp has looked good in that first and second preseason game he's looked good and then we got Jack Jones and a Hobs on top of that I think the Raider secondary is legit and I'm actually surprised that it took this long for the Raiders to release Brad and facon you know if you can't play if you're hurt you're injured you're not able to get out there and actually be productive on the football field it doesn't make sense for you to be kept around right it really does not make sense so I was surprised that the Raiders kept him long around as long as they ultimately did right um to me this is good news for the Raiders right if a guy's not healthy you don't want him around I do hope Brandon facon is able to get healthy and he does have a successful NFL career obviously that's not going to be with the Las Vegas Raiders I do
