I think got so upside down so fast like it didn't really give me a warning um the Taladega one you just kind of like know it's coming but like in the time that I got to the left rear of the 10 and started sliding I was thinking about like how to keep the thing rolling cuz I knew it was going to have flat tires and figure we can put tires on it and go Salvage day in in the 8/10 of the second I was thinking that I was already upside down so um I wouldn't say it's a comfortable position more the the emotion of everything is just more frustration of just how years gone and how poorly we've executed so more frustrated about that when when you land like the Michigan you like I first thought give me the heck out of this car we just crash or is it let me check everything make sure I'm okay wiggle your fingers and your toes to make sure they're work yeah um but the biggest hit is when it comes down back on all fours luckily it went back on all fours in the grass so you got a lot of dissipation of that energy when it came down all fours at tala it was like 65 straight through your spine so that doesn't feel good um and I would do my best to try to keep the rubber side down this weekend of Daytona but I think your chances of flipping and uh winning are about the same it's about 5050 for everybody you had a theory about or a question at least about the the Jack system and you wanted at least ask or so I found out yesterday I went to the R&D Center to look at the car it didn't seem like there was that was a proponent of that thing getting upside down I thought you know potentially that it's just a new addition to the back of our cars um for those cars getting upside down that quickly we haven't really seen that before so I Ruled that out it got ruled out after explain to so I do have I guess I can own a piece of an addition to the next gen car kind like the petty bar the Newman bar I get a little Joy fin now on the right side glass I'm just an innovator you know just trying to innovate make these cars safer did you ask or learn anything about the the role uh all the guys that were there that could explain it to me in probably way more scientific terms that I can understand they all had come down to Dayton already whether that's Jacuzzi or pop um or Pro haven't got a chance to connect those guys it was just padillac so looked at more of the Interior stuff you know the the Halo bars the mouthpiece sensor data stuff like that it's a good idea the the car performed exactly how it should in a in the events of a of a Ry um it looked like in the video that the roof flp on the driver's side didn't deploy it looked like it was just the one on the passenger side kind of came up a little bit is did that happen or you I have no I couldn't see driver seat no but I mean video the the fuser flap didn't Dro as quickly as probably hoped as well but with the combination of a car going as fast prob head how many times you watch the video two times I was speaking of landing on the grass do you feel like the car kind of dug into the grass at all and started rolling well that's you know one of the big pushes that all drivers have made you see the investment NASCAR Daytona was Paving I think over 100 acres of of asphal here we've been asking for just something for the car to slot supposed to grab onto so I appreciate NASCAR's investment there to P the back stretch when you got out of the car last week
