🌟🚢 Exciting News! We Finally Moved Into Our Cabin on the Odyssey! 🚢🌟

- [Johan] Here's our beautiful Odyssey. We're gonna go on to see our cabin. What a beautiful sight. - She's pretty. - Yes. Guys are delivering the baggage. (passengers chattering indistinctly) - What do you think? - She's pretty cool. - Hello, sir, how's it going? - [Johan] How's it going? (crew chattering indistinctly) - Yes, please, how are you today? - [Johan] Good, how are you doing? (alarm chimes) Ready to (indistinct) one more? (laughs) - [Crew] Yeah, ooh. (Johan laughing) - Oh, my God, what the hell? - You hit your head here? - Yeah. - Ooh, that's close. - (laughs) That's close. - Hey. - Hi. - [Johan] We got our cabin keys. This is awesome. - [Passenger] Oh, oh, the rain, well, we made it just in time. - Yeah, it's starting to rain now. - Oh. - [Passenger] Wow. - So here we are in a reception area. They gave us a welcome drink. Lanette's very happy we're on the ship. 'Kay, going to deck six. We're in cabin in 6075, and we have not seen this thing, so we're very excited. - Hi, how are you? - And we're taking the stairs just because. - Hi. - [Lanette] Hi, Star. - Yeah, just so we look healthy, so I don't know. I think we're going this way. All right, I think we're in the right spot. We're at the odd-numbered cabins here. (footsteps plodding) - Oh, hello. - Hello, hello. - Hello, and welcome. - Good, we're making our way. to the cabin for the first time. Very exciting. - Very nice. We are happy to have you, sir. - [Johan] Okay, thank you, thank you. - Johan. - Yes. - [Passenger] Well, you're right across from me. - Oh, oh. - Whoo, party central. - [Lanette] Can I get rid of the coffee maker and the cups? - With cup? - I don't need 'em. - Oh, you don't need. - All right, here we go. - Yeah. - There's some luggage. - [Crew] Do you want me to move it out? - Let's turn some lights on. - Anything else? - Yes. - [Crew] Yeah. - I kept one. - All right. There's a lot of stuff in here. - [Crew] Okay, I'll check it out. - [Lanette] Thank you, thank you. And where's that hairdryer? - And yeah, this is where we are here. - (indistinct) is gonna be here in the doorway. - Yeah. - It looks a little different than I expected, but I love the layout. - [Passenger] (indistinct) on Saturday. - Well, that's lots of light. - And there's the beautiful lifeboat. - [Lanette] But there's lots of light. - Yeah, we can jump right in, leave all the women and children behind. - [Crew] Yeah, I get a (speaking faintly). - [Johan] All right. - That I might need. (laughs) - Look at this. (hand thudding) (passenger laughing) - [Lanette] Is that another bed? What is that? - Yeah, it's a Murphy bed or something. - That is really cool. - On both sides. - Whoa, we could have company. (Johan laughing) - [Johan] Okay, that was the first introduction of our cabin, but now we wanna show it a little bit more detail here. - Yeah. - So we have these two Pullmans we didn't know. - [Lanette] Excited about that. More can come visit. - That's really cool. Okay. (Johan and Lanette laughing) And here- - Then we have four closets. - [Johan] We have two here. - This is my side. - That's Lanette's side. And then we have on the other side- - [Lanette] Two more. - [Johan] A little bit more than we expected. Yeah. - And a refrigerator. - [Johan] Have a- - Look at that. - little mini fridge. Mini, mini. - Mini, mini, that's all right, and some light- - And the space over here. - Yeah, look it. I can get into it. - Yeah. It's a walk-in closet. - Yeah, it is. It is a walk-in closet. - Yeah. (laughs) And we got some space right here. - [Lanette] We've got, (drawer rasping) oh, bathroom, we gotta show you that, too. - [Johan] Yeah, absolutely. - [Lanette] Yes, all right. (latch clicking) - [Johan] Let's walk in here to this thing. - Here's the bathroom. - Yeah. - So we have all of this space here and under here. But look what I found. Look. It has a big mirror. - [Johan] Yeah. - And then we got more space. - [Johan] They utilizing all the space. - Both top and bottom. - Very good. And here's our shower, which I'm actually really pleasantly surprised how big it is because we've actually had smaller showers in some of the hotels we stayed. - Yeah, for sure. - [Johan] And yeah, that was the added extra stuff. And now we're gonna try to unpack these things here eventually. - [Lanette] I have a box of hangers. - Get the hangers. - Greyson hangers, so they don't take up so much space. - [Johan] Yeah, so we'll just see. We'll show you what we did with it here. - And our view, look at that. We have more light than we really thought. - [Johan] Yeah, we truly do. Well, you saw that earlier. We have a good view, so. - [Lanette] Yeah. - Yep, that's what we got for now. (Lanette exhales) Yes, home, sweet home. 'Kay, this is the deck we're on. We're on Lido Deck 6. (passengers chattering indistinctly) The ship only has eight decks, which is perfect for us. All right, somebody came up with the idea of giving us name tags, which is a really good idea. But look at this name. - Look at that. - Probably because it's the weirdest name. (passengers chattering indistinctly) - [Crew] Coming up at 6:00 until 7:00 in the Morning Light Pub is a cocktail party where everyone is welcome to join us for a drink. - [Johan] So we just had dinner down in a restaurant here. It was delicious. What's your take, Lanette, on your first moments on this Odyssey? - Very pleased. I'm not gonna say I'm surprised but very happy. Our cabin's great. Food is great. People's great, service great. Everything's good. - Yeah, I agree. This has been a very pleasant, yeah, I wouldn't say surprise either, but we try to keep low expectations. But this has been fantastic. Really, really enjoying being on a ship, even though we (laughs) are not leaving yet for a few days. But yeah, this is fantastic. - And I have a name tag. - [Johan] And she's got a name tag. - And they got my name right. - [Johan] They got her name right. - From the US. - [Johan] She is from the US, apparently. So am I, too. Mine says Johan, if you wonder. (Lanette laughing) All right, here we are going through the dining room, and they had put on a good display for us, lots of good food, but I'll show more next time. And this is what it's looking like right now. We're trying to get our stuff together, all these suitcases, make sense of what we have. Lanette's putting a lot of stuff in closets, putting stuff away, and yeah, it's chaos in here, but- - [Lanette] We're making a lot of way. - [Johan] We're making a lot of way real quick here actually. So I'm putting my stuff away and yeah. Gotta make it work. The last video I took, it was a little chaotic in here. We've actually managed to make it a little livable here. - Yeah. - [Johan] Lanette's clutter desk, got all her stuff in the drawers here. Our suitcases will go under the bed. We get rid of a couple of them, but we need some risers for the bed to do that. But yeah, the room looks pretty good. There's some laundry and stuff we gotta take care of, but yeah, most of our stuff are in the closets. - Yeah, yeah, we're getting rid of the Pullmans. - [Johan] Yes, we are getting rid of the Pullmans 'cause we want put stuff up on the walls, and yeah, this cabin is just way too small to have visitors in overnight, but our visitors, friends and family, will have their own cabin when they come, so it's gonna be good for them as well. Yeah. - Yeah. We put our stuff away and in the bathroom. They're hiding in the corner there. Yeah, we're ready to live here. - Make it our house. - We can do it. - Home, ship home - Home, ship home. - Pleasure to introduce the wonderful Kathy and Mike. (passengers chattering indistinctly) - Ugh, hey, guys. - Hi, Mike. - Hey. - [Passenger] Hi, Mike. - It's very nice to see you all on board. It's amazing. - Yeah, whoo. - Whoo. - Whoo. - Thank you all, thank you all. It's been a long journey, and I know it's actually been challenging for a lot of us, especially for you guys. Yeah, I see a lot of you. I know some of you has had some personal challenges, and you know, we haven't always been able to be there and to actually pull through exactly the way we intended to, but here we are today. It's one step forward, and we're gonna keep taking steps forward. - Yeah. - And one month from today, or two months from today, three months from today, we're gonna look back at today and be like, "You know, wow. You know, we did something that nobody ever has been able to do before." (passengers cheering and applauding) And it wasn't easy, but we're there at that point. And wow, what an amazing experience and what an amazing community that we've been able to put together. - [Passenger] Yeah. - Because I think that will be exactly what will happen. And I think we'll be able to come together and create a wonderful community traveling around the world with very similar minds alike and with one passion to travel, and community, and start with, you know, our purposeful exploration, and Tilda's gonna head that up. And I can't wait to start this journey. I've been here in Belfast for three months. I got the benefit of going home for three days to pick up the kids. - Whoo. - We had a couple of days in Paris, but other than that, we've been here. We've been working really night and day to get to the point we're almost at, We hoped that you guys could sleep here tonight. Obviously, we hit a little kink, but we're not far away. As you can see, we're ready. Our common areas are ready. You know, there's a few cabins, specifically Deck 8. We had some surprises with DNV recently, and so we're gonna tear up some of those cabinets, but for the better. They're getting new carpets. You know, it's getting better. Some of the questions I've been getting today, might as well take them now. The AC, we currently don't have the AC on because it's about $5,000 a day to keep the AC on. It's relatively cool here in Belfast. So since we're not sleeping on board, we're just holding off on that. On long drinks- - We're also working on the generators. - We're also working on the generators, says the boss. (passengers laughing and applauding) We had a little bit of a challenge with the manifest this morning. We had some electrical work done yesterday afternoon and knocked out our Internet. It's back up now, by the way. - I'm sorry. - This is nothing we expect to keep happening (laughs) while we're traveling. It's really, truly a live-and-learn sort of thing. So that won't happen again. Laundry, some people have been asking about laundry. We can potentially take a bag of laundry. - Mm-mm. - Yeah, we can. - Mm-mm. - No? (passengers laughing) (passengers chattering indistinctly) - Big city, here we come. - Hi. You wanna do what? (passengers laughing) (passengers cheering and applauding) Sorry, I'm gonna be the bad guy here. We're still working behind the scenes. DNV is still doing their walks, and they're saying, "This is not done, this is not done." So we're conducting tweaks in the laundry room. I ask that you please hold off. Before we do that, you technically can't move in that much. You're here. I'd like to thank my hotel team over there. Without them, this wouldn't be, Oliver and Ivan. (passengers applauding) I can't live without those two guys, okay? So Mike, he can't get jealous over them 'cause I talk to them, (passengers laughing) but, you know, thank you for being patient with our team. We're a small team, but we're mighty. We make a lot of mistakes, and I appreciate you guys forgiving us for dropping the ball here and there. We do promise that, once we get going, we will build this team bigger. We have a lot of big plans. The cabins are nowhere near what they're supposed to be, but I appreciate that a lot of you are happy with them because, you know, they're not what they're meant to be. And you know, things are only gonna get better from here, and we want you to enjoy this home. I'm, like, shaking now, so I'm gonna put it down. (passengers laughing) We want you to enjoy it here as much as you can and get a taste of what your life is gonna be like because it's only gonna get better. This is nothing. This is nothing. And we're not gonna stop until you guys are completely satisfied. And I know you never will be, but, (passengers laughing and applauding) but yeah, I look forward to seeing you every day from now on. You know, come and go as you please. This is your home, and I will be working hard to make sure that we get those certifications so that we can make sure that you guys can lay your heads here, and we can get the F out of here.
