who was among six hostages tragically killed  by Hamas. the Israeli Defense Forces IDFÂ
confirmed that the hostages, who had been  held captive for nearly 11 months, were brutallyÂ
murdered moments before a potential rescue.
 Goldberg-Polin's family confirmed his deathÂ
early Sunday, following the recovery of his  body on Saturday. He had been abducted during aÂ
music festival in southern Israel on October 7,  the day of Hamas' attack on Israel. His body wasÂ
found in the tunnels alongside fellow hostages.

family in 2008 at the age of seven.

with President Biden expressing deep sorrow and  condemning Hamas. Vice President Kamala HarrisÂ
offered her prayers and condemned the murders,  calling Hamas "an evil terrorist organization"Â
and emphasizing the need to eliminate the threat  it poses. The incident highlightsÂ
