iPhone 16 vs iPhone 15 | Should you upgrade?

What are the differences? In this video, we will check out and try to understand both of them. Based on specs, there are many things when iPhone 16 will actually come in the market. We will know that at that time. We will know many things after using it. But now, based on all the things we know, we will compare both of them and see which phone will be better for you, which one will be more valuable for money. Because the price of iPhone 15 has also dropped. Its MRP has also decreased from 10,000 rupees. Let's talk about design build quality looks. First of all, the camera placement has changed. Apart from this, you won't see any difference in the design and build of both. Both come with frosted matte finish back glass. You get to see aluminum sides in both. There is definitely a difference in the colors of both. There are some new colors for iPhone 16. The IP rating is also the same in both. iPhone 15 has glass, iPhone 15 has ceramic shield. iPhone 16 has a little improved ceramic shield. The weight difference is also of only 1 gram in both. Both have come with different camera placement within the same body. But there are two differences here. I am talking about external differences. In iPhone 15, there is a mute switch. Whereas in iPhone 16, you will get to see an action button just like iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. The second difference is that you get to see one more button here which is the camera control button. I will explain in the next video what this does. Now, I will focus more on the differences here. I will quickly tell you the similarities and end the video. Both have the same display. Both have dynamic island. The size of the display is the same. 6.1 inches and for the Plus model, 6.7 inches. Both have the same resolution. The type and quality of the display are also the same. There is only one difference in the display. The display of iPhone 15 can go up to 2000 nits maximum brightness. But the display of iPhone 16 can go up to minimum 1 nits brightness. So, you can lower the brightness. Both have the same display with 60 Hz refresh rate. So, there is no difference in this. The speaker is also in both the phones. There is a bottom firing and a top firing. So, you won't see any difference in this. There won't be any difference in the loudness. The microphones are also equal in both. The difference between both is in their specifications. iPhone 15 has the A16 Bionic chipset. You can say that this is an old chipset. It was introduced with iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. Whereas, in iPhone 16, Apple has given the latest A18 chipset. This is not the A18 Pro which is 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. But this is the A18 chipset which is more powerful and efficient compared to the A16 chipset. Another difference is that you get 8 GB RAM in iPhone 16 while in 15, you get 6 GB RAM. Another difference in the specifications is that iPhone 16 gets Wi-Fi 7. Whereas, iPhone 16 gets Wi-Fi 6. So, you can get slightly higher Wi-Fi speed if you have a Wi-Fi 7 router. But both have Bluetooth version 5.3. Both have storage variant 128, 256 and 512. Let's talk about the battery. We can tell you about the battery life not about the battery capacity now because when this phone will be in the hands of people, we will open it and check the battery capacity. For example, in the case of iPhone 15, Apple never tells the battery capacity of the iPhone in MAH. It only tells in hours. So, according to that, you will get 2 hours of video playback in iPhone 16 over iPhone 15. There is no other difference. The audio playback time is the same. So, you can expect slight improvement in the battery. But in terms of charging, it is expected that you will get faster charging in iPhone 16 compared to iPhone 15. In iPhone 15, it supports up to 27 watts. Apple has mentioned a 20 watt charger for this on their website. But when I checked for iPhone 16, 30 watt charger is also mentioned. So, you might get 30 watt charging in iPhone 16. But Apple has not specified it yet. When the phone will come in the hands and after that we will check it and its wattage, then we will know exactly. Now, let's talk about the camera. Apple always makes some improvements in the camera in its iPhones. But this time, there is no difference in the megapixel. In the back, the main camera is 48MP and the ultra wide angle camera is 12MP. And the front facing camera is also 12MP. But in iPhone 16, Apple has made some changes in its camera which might be very useful to you if you are a photography lover. In the iPhone 16 camera, you can use the latest photographic styles. In iPhone 16, there were standard and all these photographic styles. You will get some additional photographic styles in iPhone 16. But the actual useful thing is the macro photography which you can do with iPhone 16. It was not present in any non-pro model before iPhone 15. You can take special photos with macro photos. So, how does this camera control button work? If you press this, the camera will open. If you press and hold this, you will get a mode which works like Google lens. If you need any information about anything, you will get it directly from there because all the AI features are supported in iPhone 16 and not in iPhone 15. You can launch the camera. After launching the camera, you can press the camera control button or you can press it hard. It depends on which modes you can access. You can access many modes. You can slide the camera and zoom in and out. You can select different modes. You can select light press, photo, long press, video. There are many options in this. Camera control is a good thing that they have added. The integration of software and hardware is very good. You won't get this in iPhone 15. But you don't use cameras for photos and videos. So, you might feel the difference. Now, let's come to the main thing. Apple intelligence. There are no features in iPhone 15. There won't be any feature. But in iPhone 16, you will get features of Apple intelligence. You get writing tools in which you can do proofreading, rephrase sentences. You can summarize. You get many options in this. You will get new and intelligent Siri in Apple intelligence. You will get chat GPT integration in Apple intelligence. You will get type 2 Siri in Apple intelligence. You will get the feature of clean up in camera in Apple intelligence. You will get the feature of clean up in camera in Apple intelligence. You will get the feature of clean up in camera in Apple intelligence. You will get image playground in Apple intelligence. It is not available in iOS 18.1 beta version. But it will be available in the future. If you want to buy a phone for Apple intelligence, you will have to buy iPhone 16 or 15 Pro or Pro Max. You won't get that in iPhone 15.
