Could Nintendo publish the Trails in the sky remake? #nihonfalcom #trailsinthesky #nintendo

okay so this is crazy but the coni nut we recently released a video where he was talking about more information about um the upcoming remake for trails in the sky and in the video he mentioned something that I honestly was very shocking he believes that one of the three there's three publishing scenarios either the game because it looks like NSI America will be not involved with this project he believes to be be exed Falon themselves or freaking Nintendo now me personally I still think XE is most likely it's the same script and if I correct XE legally owns the right to the North American script of the game and I don't think Falcon could publish the game themselves since they don't have any locations the United States like how would they do distribution themselves they have to like you know make a lot of contacting with a lot of different companies which wouldn't be easy for them as a small Japanese studio so I I think X is still most likely but Nintendo idea is interesting like at at first grance I thought it was incredibly stupid that you even would suggest that like Nintendo's the video game company why would they publish a trailer game now he did give some evidence he was talking about how Nintendo has done games like acupath traveler though in the that case aath traveler is a Square Enix IP and Nintendo and square have a very close relationship well not the closest in the world but they historically do have a close they did historically have a super close relationship but they still have strong connections so makes sense that squ Enix was able to go to Nintendo be like hey can you publish this game for us we're kind of basic stuff it's like oh sure yeah because like F's not a big Studio they what respect studio in Japan but I doubt they have that much re like relay that's I can't pronounce the word you know what I mean negoti a ton of negotiating power so like why would Nintendo even do it but then I realize Sakurai maahir Sakurai if you watch his videos on his YouTube channel has clearly mentioned multiple times that he is a fan of their work like I don't know if he's played any of the recent games but he has stated he's played a lot of the older titles from like the 90s and 80s if I remember correctly he was even one of the like the first eight people to buy the original to xanadoo not not Tokyo xanadoo the original xanadoo which came out in the 80s I'm not sure I'm not sure was the original game or it was an expansion of the game that game has a lot of re-releases I know he bought one he was one of the original eight people who bought the the game I think it might have been the expansion he might I don't know but still he he clearly has high respect for the series and zakai does have connections with Nintendo I mean like the dude is the director of the smash bow series which is one of Nintendo's most successful IPS so it's possible through him that Falcon could have negotiated a deal with Nintendo to bring the RPG to the switch because like he was also concerned like in the video the Kentucky night was talking about like how he thinks the game could possibly be a time exclusive for Nintendo not just for the switch for the successor console which I'm not entirely sure if that's something Nintendo would do because that's the trailer series isn't exactly a financial hitter it's not something that would sell millions of cop not like not even a m not even like half a million like I think on average the trailer series probably sells like 100,000 copies in this first year at least in in Japan I think with Western markets it probably gets to around 300 ,000 a game possibly 500,000 not very a system seller so I don't know it just the only way I can really see this is happening if Sakurai gave Falcon a good word to Nintendo that's the only way I can possibly see Nintendo publishing the game now here's the next crazy thing if Nintendo does publish the game does that mean whenever we get another smash BR game which might not be for a few years because you know Sakurai needs to break just let him make his videos guys if but when we do get a new Smash post game because there's no way Nintendo will not make a new Smash post game that is a in that is a printing money for them does not mean we gon get trails in the game I mean that sounds ridiculous but freaking Bayonetta in Smash Bros like bayonett only has two games like it it was a well was was a well respected IP but it wasn't anything big not in not my opinion not really Smash Bros worthy because like Smash Bros usually like big IPS or Nintendo that's usually it it's like it's the biggest it's the biggest game series that Nintendo can get the hands on legally speaking because like well of course legally I mean like what Nintendo can negotiate to get into the game and then they use and then they sometimes use the market other smaller IPS and but trailers is a small third party IP and we like I'm honest I it's it's big enough to be like a skin but big enough to get its own playable character there I mean most likely it's just going to be a skin but like the idea of like a stal being in Smash Bros would be [ __ ] huge for the franchise like all of a sudden it goes from being that like Indie RPG series that people put about but really don't know what it is to possibly like like uh ah like 50% of persona like the trailer series is like popularity wise no one near as popular persona but like this could boost trails to at least 50% of persona like you can't be Persona at least not right now then again I don't think the Persona series was that big until five like I think it's I think it like consistently sold like a million copies each entry if they like b a five was like exploded I mean it's not tra it's not going to go to that level of course that's impossible but like it's a it's definitely an interesting idea and I yeah I um I I really don't think any of this is gonna happen I don't think Nintendo's gonna be the publisher I'm convinced it's gonna be XC that's going to publish the game though if Nintendo is the publisher of this game I think that is something to consider possibly in the future because like if Nintendo was saw saw something in his IP that they wanted to publish it then who know yeah they they might go ahead I mean Sakai is power Sakai is powerful he could possibly negotiate Trails into the IP and clearly has a large respect for neon Falcon even if he possibly hasn't played any of the recent games so yeah that's gonna be it for today's video I hope you all enjoyed and I'll see you
