[Applause] started and the gator will kick it away to start he'll bring it back from inside his SP good job by the coverage unit to stop the Return Man the volunteers will be in a hole thanks to that short return and the adrenaline is pumping on overdrive in games like this guys and it's crucial to get your emotions under control no doubt in rivalry games you've got to limit the mental errors and you've got to limit the penalties cuz those will kill you Po and you got to come out under control it means so much we know that the fans are all talking about it but it's just football he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple you know when you're playing against a defense of this caliber you're going to have to have some sort of balance right you can't just drop back and throw at every single play nothing going on that last run they're going to have to find another way to get it going hand in the ball the run from the shotgun keeps the legs moving works his way into the traffic and picks up three to the 17 we had a barn burner the last time these two teams played no reason to expect anything else between these two bitter Rivals attention to detail and I think the sense of urgency David in a game like this just goes way up and I think managing the emotions in these type of games you you know last year was a classic now you're trying to form this year's identity of this team and go out and get a win in a big time rivalry game and the volunteers will try to pin them back with the punt they'll have to punt for the first time this afternoon and returner will be dragged down so the Florida Gator offense taking the field first chance we have to see them today one thing to watch can this guy get in the quarterback's head and make him take a peek at the rush David DK SK Skippy that's what you want to do you want to make this guy a little bit more human and not as much of a game breaker at the quarterback spot get some pressure on and hit him a few times he's one of the best quarterbacks in the country but he can't hurt you if he's laying on his back and this defensive end can put him there often on the option they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one the whole point of running the quarterback on these designed runs is to get an extra blocker you should be getting more movement up front but that time guys were getting knocked backwards and as a result they actually lost a yard dropping back it's Flag W going for the big play snatches it on the right this tight end is such a weapon because he can line up all over the field that time he starts in a slot he's running the corner route against Zone coverage and he's just got athleticism and wiggle and the ability to separate and make big plays so nice to have a Target like that just a Savvy veteran productive run from this junior this guy's got a a lot of tools in his toolbox tot and The Rock B he showed you right there and when I think back to Florida running backs EMT Smith alltime great but a guy I played with in Gainesville Fred Taylor he was so big but so fast for a guy his size he just caused so many problems for the defenses we face and I think in the SEC today you have got to be able to run the football if you're going to win games and this guy right here he's going to give the Gators a chance they can really be aggressive after that last play it's second and three he's looking to throw and that pass will be Jarred loose on second down that brings up third down that last incomplete pass has him staring at a third and three looking to throw for it tight end finds a soft spot and they reacted well to the completion but it was too late to keep them from getting the first down the Gators will snap it on First and 10 caught in the back field it's Smith got some room enter to the goal line he is down at the one a terrific run after the throw and catch nice completion here to this wide receiver and you're going to see this receiver line up in different spots all over the field all game long defense has got to keep their eye on and he takes it in for the score H down Florida and he's got the extra point and it's 7 nothing to start this one a 67 yd touchdown drive there and they capped it off with a one yd Punch coming out with it it's Lewis I know he thinks he can house every return but sometimes you just have to take a knee as he stopped at the 14 Tennessee ready to go to work the Big Orange offense on the field boy three and out last time David they'd like to be more productive this time around yeah in the last Drive nothing really clicked no rhythm got off the field really really quickly they need to put something together here yeah David bad execution on that last drive so they got to take a collective breath and start playing like a unit on this didn't get much done on that first play of the drive it's second and 11 trying play action throws for the tight end he's got an open man and they'll get it to the 39 yd line and they'll move the chains a big gain there as they did a tremendous job working the middle of the field yeah and if you're going to complete that throw Rees quarterbacks have got to play with anticipation you've got to get it out of your hands early and give your receiver an opportunity before the defense gets to the ball he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three and that play shows you really what this defense is about it's a difficult one to attack they're really good one of the best in the country they come at you from all angles so I I'm interested to watch how do you mix up the play calling how do you keep the defense off bounds cuz they are a good one from the shotgun the hand off to the back he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple you see this is what great defenses do great defenses swarm to the football so when you do miss a tackle it's not the end of the world there's another guy right there to wrap him up great defenses seem like they got 12 guys on the field nice swarm into the football engulfing the running back on Third and long you'll have to turn it loose deep they're setting up the screen and how about that what the doctor always ordered an explosive play to the 40 the volunteers moving quickly to the line this running back is so dangerous he's going to hurt you running the ball but they find creative ways to get him the ball in the passing game as well beautiful job setting up the screen he was acting as if he was blocking let the defender run right by him and then he made magic happen after he had the ball in s solid pick up of four on first down it's second and six takes a hand off it's Peters he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple how about the defender being a heat seeking missile he was on radar lock he found the football and flew down with some bad intentions decb Rising as the crowd Gets behind this defense on third down looking for a man it's yam malava all kinds of room to throw that one in there and he just kept running and he ran away from the crowd and he'll take it in touchdown volunteer and what a ice start for this offense the throw game getting working getting the touchdown pass this quarterback getting a little bit of this passing game getting in Rhythm nice start for this offense fielded In The End Zone it's brown not nearly as much as he' hoped when he brought it out of the end zone he'll be stopped at the 15 the gator sending the offense back to work that last Drive really productive David wound up with a touchdown they'll try to do it again yeah so I don't expect this offense to change too much Reese they had a great Drive they got the touchdown everything working I would expect him to keep pushing this ball down here and just imagine if they could put another touchdown on the board right here they could capture so much momentum in this game with backto back TDS didn't get much on first down it's second and nine oh it goes right through his hands they had everything set up on the screen except the catch it'll be third down I know you want to prepare for every game the same way but there's just something different about rivalry games Jesse it's because Reese I think players are aware that games like this Define your legacy as a player your record in rivalry games is something that people are going to talk about for years and years down the road you have got to show up and play your best football in games like this these routs have some reads and adaptability built in and the big fella found that cushion and made the play man it's so awesome how much offenses have evolved they know exactly what they're getting where to sit down quarterback tight endend on the same page gets the first down they make the stop after the catch and still some work to do to pick up that first down and quarterback dropping back understanding I'm getting Zone coverage all I got to do is be a little bit patient manipulate that defense a little bit my wide receiver runs that drag and I get the first down looking to pass it's flue and he got smacked just as he released the pass it's incomplete that's how you look screen passive here on defense you got to hit the quarterback fast for it's the incompletion couldn't pick it up on second down now they need a couple on third [Applause] down off the RPO quick throw to the right he's brought down but there's a flag on the field let's see what the call is [Applause] that penalty moves the ball back 10 yds will replay the down ling up to convert third down from the gun wants to pass grabbed behind the line it's Daniels and sure tackling there to keep him from getting to the first down marker [Applause] that's we're through one and what a back and forth battle between these two quarterbacks as we look at the stats [Music] [Applause] they fought to a stand still in the first let's see who gets the edge early in the [Applause] second this could absolutely spin this game in another Direction they're going for it inside their own 30 fires left and it's knocked away way and they don't convert on fourth down man first half being that aggressive on on your side of the field that's that's a different world like you live in the analytics world and I know people say go for it more often I don't see the point going for it on that one early in the game in that situation pulls and fires it complete to the right they stop him almost immediately short gain there and still a little ground to cover to pick up the first looks as if we have an injury on that last play and we'll take a break to check him out they'll run it from the gun and it is a good idea to gang tackle first guy couldn't get him second guy finally did that has got to be demoralizing if you're on defense because they just ran the ball right up the middle down your throats and they gashed you it's hard to run on a defense that comes off the ball like that and runs to the football like good luck no holes in [Applause] it defense rolls up deep in its own end on that last play now a second and long coming running back goes in motion and the defense makes the tackle but not before he gets down to the two and with the stuff there Jesse on second down this little third to midrange you got two downs what are you thinking here maybe getting your quarterback out on the perimeter and giving him a run pass option see if you can get the defense in a line try to barge their way in and he takes it to the house touchdown ball this guy just has a nose for the End Zone you love his ability to find creases use his speed in the open field and go score he's been really good for his offense early this year that already his fifth rushing touchdown on the season lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown drive on the move from inside is five he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 Florida has the ball back and here comes the offense we'll see if that failed fourth down in their own end last time David sort of curbed some of the aggressiveness when you hear about it all the time in football go forth be aggressive the problem is when you get stocked sometimes it puts you in a hole and Jesse now the offense has to come out in the spot they were real disappointed not getting that first down you can see it on the sideline so let's just see if that's kind of galvanized them a little bit here to go make a statement and get some points back to pass it's flue going to try to pop one on the screen didn't have much room to run and not a whole lot of help short gain there and still plenty of ground to cover for the first down these guys have really performed at a high level in SEC play and the task is to try to keep this grou Pro going yeah when you start the season like this man this is exactly what you drew up win your conference be great in your conference get to the conference Championship I'm not putting the C before the hor B but great start no doubt to win the SEC is a long road you know about that I know about that personally and they just got to take one game at a time they've done an outstanding job of doing that this year they think there's room to run to the right here and you can forget running in the middle against his defense all the BL great team defense on that run play everybody doing their job people winning their one-on ones D lineman staying in their gaps linebackers and DB's filling you just can't do it better that pass is incomplete and they might be fortunate it wasn't knock threee for a fumble it'll be third down he didn't have a whole lot of time to get rid of that one the defense was all over him right after the snap no wonder that thing fell incomplete quarterback making adjustments with his receivers on third down going up top grabbed in the middle it's Daniels really confident throw and catch there big pickup and they have a first down I don't always have to push the ball down the field I love them QBs drop back look at at matchups oh I got my running back I think he can get the first down give him the football let him be athlete with the football in his hands after he catches it nice job by the QB nice job by the running [Applause] back hard running there got the first down and more and they'll finally get him down after a terrific pickup well this guy's a weapon throwing it and running it and you know he's going to try to hurt this defense with his legs it put so much stress on the defensive line to chase him and the fact that the play is extended so long yeah if they've got a spy defensively if someone's athletic enough to run with this guy that's going to be maybe a sound move moving forward schematic not much room a pick up of two down to the 28 after picking up a couple it's second and eight the run to the left Just Trucks through it gets it all the way down to the 2 yd line he was fighting for that endone that's the benefit to the Run game keep pounding keep pounding now you break one all the way down to the 2 yd and don't stop it get down get lined up freck and give it to this dude again to go score a TD and to the end zone he goes touchdown Gator ready to try the point after right down the boulevard so an 82 yd drive there and finish to deal with the short touchdown run from the two and we're all square as he set to kick it away and they desperately wanted to attempt a return but decided not to instead they'll take the Touchback offense getting set for first down they go to the ground they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one well they're trying to get that run play going to the outside but it's the defensive end who does a great job winning his one-on-one and forcing the negative [Applause] play didn't get much done on that first play of the drive it's second and 11 hand off from the shotgun they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one that's a great play by the defensive end the best athletes on the field play defensive end you can ask anybody yes I agree Jess see they agree with me same thing but you watch them get off the football make the play that's why you put your athletes there throws to the tight end catch in the middle it's Davis and they finally get him down but not before he's got him set up for business at the 49 yd line the vs have it with a first and 10 looking to move it through the air fires to the wide out and this veteran quarterback just overshot his man that time I love the decision by the quarterback he found the open man just don't love the throw got to be a little bit more accurate make it easier on your target couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they'd throw it again to the air it's IAM malava can't quite make the connection there might have let him a little too much [Applause] [Music] better find the earplugged here comes the noise backing this defense on third down they keep attacking through the air catch in the middle it's web really nice job to convert that third down and they've got it at the 33 well we know this guy is special and because of that his quarterback is looking to him on critical down and distances there on thatd third down there was no question it wouldn't have mattered if he was single covered double covered man Zone that's where he was going with it and the Big Time playmaker outside picks up the first this is a hard game and a hard position to play but if you're the starter at this level you cannot miss that throw no you can't and they don't miss that very often I mean those are the throws they usually say big plays on receiver gets a step gets open that's not one that they usually Miss can't make the grab quarterback just missed him a little bit and how nice is it to have the home crowd going absolutely bananas communication is harder the snapping the football everybody being on time man this crowd really affecting the football game his Drive was clicking along but after a couple of misfires threatening to stall out on Third and 10 and the pass is intercepted he was thinking big return didn't get that before and he gave his offense an opportunity at the 31 what a nice catch by the defensive back listen a lot of times you see DBS get in position to make plays but there's a reason they play DB and not wide receiver great job finishing the interception catching the ball making a big the gator sending the offense back to work this could be a real turning point in the game they scored a touchdown they got a stop and now a chance to break the tie yeah this offense has got it cooking man and how about the defense great job getting that stop getting the football right back to the hot hand now this offense Palmer has a chance to take the lead you can see the offense too they understand the situation right now they were jonesing on the sidelines to get another opportunity to run back on the field they are ready to drive this ball and go score lots of good stuff on that play you slow down the rush you get a completion and you move the chains and most importantly you're right you don't force a short yarded situation that you have to get nice job fite that Rush up the field take advantage of the aggressiveness of the defense make the catch make the Run get the first down looking downfield it's flagway oh he's going to take a shot at the DB and that pass is caught at the 25 touchdown Forida reeled it in and just made the house call and the extra point is true and they're on top by seven quick strike offense on that three-play scoring Drive and the finisher coming on a touchdown pass from 52 yds out and they thought about a return Then thought better of it they'll bring it out to the 25 the volunteer offense is back and they hope it's touchdown time in Tennessee boy they had that last Drive moving a little bit David but then the mistake just crushed them and those mistakes are going to happen you're going to throw the football you're going to throw interceptions but I think I stay aggressive with this offense I get back to what I did in the first part of that drive what made me successful I agree David just turn the page if you're a quarterback right on this drive you did a lot of good things there leading up to that pick forget about it move on play the next play they couldn't draw up a better way to start a drive and now they've got it first and 10 from the 41 he wants to throw it's incomplete and trust me you will not see that very often from this guy it's second down ooh there's there's an example Jesse of a receiver making his pullback look bad most of the time and make it look good and cover up for him all those balls y'all don't throw online but that would hit him in a pretty good spot he needs to come down without me oh he's going to try to get it all here makes a catch down the right side big big gain on that one as he steps out of bounds with a first down well this guy's going to make catches all over the field that time he lined up all the way to the left side and he was able across the entire field to make a catch on the right side defense lost track of him and it ended up being a big play makes the grab it's web he's brought down quickly minimal gain there still a bit short of the first down and the balls are threatening in the Red Zone he wants to pass it on second down gets it out fast and he's knocked down immediately but not before he moves the chains they saw that Blitz coming and the way to get out of it is find the tight end yeah how quick did he see that too sees the blitz understands this is a matchup where I got my big tight end the big fella I trust I'm going to find that matchup get him the football for the first half that completion has them right on the doorstep B mark it at the one a timeout is called as this offense tries to find a way to get more points on the board before the half try to get it to the edge nowhere to run on that one and he loses four on the carry so on offense you've got to find a way to put six up on the board you know that in this game field goals may not get it done so big time players make big he snares it in the end zone touchdown Tennesseee yeah and the passing game comes through man and we need more of that in the second half an extra point away from tying this football game you trailed a little bit in the first half stayed calm if this passing game can continue to heat up look out the second at half he'll call for the fair catch here Florida has the ball back and here comes the offense these two defenses have had their head spinning here in the first half and now we might even see a little more scoring with this drive it's going back and forth this is like two heavyweights just trading blows David what do this defense got to do to get a stop here I tell you what man when you're giving up points he's got it on the left they got him free for a big Gainer down to the 43 quick timeout called by the offense after the play they used a chunk PL AC cross Midfield and theyve got it first and 10 just outside the 40 dropping back it's flagway hit hard just as he released it on first down and just couldn't get it to the receiver second and 10 [Applause] here he's looking to throw unleashes one deep throw into the end zone it's picked off I love when people start to understand what we're doing defensively if they're going to pass the football and that's that where they're going to live well I'm going to live in dime I'm going to bring more defensive backs on the field so I can cover more of these speed guys that they have out there great job by the defensive back breaking on the football making the int making the DC look very smart second down this offense has a second down play and we don't expect to see another play here they'll just take a knee and head to the break all tied up first half in the books time now to join Kevin Connors in our halftime update phyas what an environment there today all the animosity and Flatout hatred that comes with a good oldfashioned rivalry game on display in that first half tough as job inside that Stadium right now might just be the scoreboard operator after all those first downs and touchdowns big plays have to find this one thanks to two of the best receiving core in all of college football let's see if these defenses can adjust and make the necessary chest [Applause] moves and it'll be a Touchback the ball will come out to the 25 yd line the gator sending the offense back work first drive of the second half always fun to watch you see what type of tweaks were made at the half especially when you're locked up in a ball game like this one yeah and it's been a good game I mean it's been a little bit of back and forth and a feeling out process and now once you get in the second half who's going to get aggressive Palmer who's going to take some shots try to make some plays and really go for it yeah it's interesting I think as play callers right now you learned a lot about these coaching staffs with respect to who does make the best adjustments there's a lot of coaches that believe we're just going to be Who We Are we're going to keep doing what we do we're just going to do it better but then there are others that tweak things a little bit on offense and on defense we're going to find out here receiver on the Move gets the touch pass he's out of bounds but not before picking up enough for the first down just went with something very easy very reliable Flip It Forward let your receiver do the rest only got to get a few yards nice job nice execution first down [Applause] they've got it at the 37 it's first and 10 quarterback changing the plays at the [Applause] line he leaves it with the back they'll get it to the 48 no need to measure it's a first down first down physicality wins football games being able to run the football and create balance and right here just chews up another first down gives you another chance to maybe continue to run the football and I feel like this guy too is just an explosive play waiting to happen his vision his quickness and he's got a burst if you give this guy just a crease he's going to hit it and right now he's doing some damage on this defense goes to the option quick toss not a whole lot of room there three yards maybe second and seven small gain I know but again the defense knows he's going to run the football he's willing to run the football not just drop back and pass make him onor the Run game you got to do a lot of this power football with the Run he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three I love this linebacker because he's able to dissect what's happening in front of him and he reacts downhill uses his speed to get to the line of scrimmage and create the negative play [Applause] dropping back it's Flag way he wants to take the top off and he's got it inside the 25 hch down Gator and with that they've got the lead here in the second half and the extra point is true and they're on top by seven so that was a six Place 75 ydd Drive and the finisher coming on a touchdown pass from 52 yds out he'll bring it back looking for help nice job executing all of the assignments they put a stop to that return at the 22 Tennessee ready to go to work the Big Orange offense on the field they'll snap this one to start the drive from their own 22 they'll run the RPO and throw it right and good coverage by the defense just a short gain hey man you want to make a statement defensively make hits like that you're going to start having these receivers think twice about running these routes this defense came to play and they are laying the work looking to throw on second down Fire's on the move right through his hands and incomplete and he'll walk that one back it'll be third down that's one the offense just needs to be able to hit right that's a completion they should be able to hit in got to do a better job Here Comes This Home crowd as the defense tries to get off the field on third down from the gun wants to pass pressure coming escapes the and the quarterback goes down down at the 11 yd line you got to give the defense tons of credit because we know how much speed this quarterback has that time you saw the pursuit they were able to bring him down for a big loss on the sack fourth down and the punt team sends it the other way and the coverage team gets to returner on the [Applause] ground Florida has the ball back and here comes the offense that last touchdown Drive was surgical through the air Jesse you sure was was and that's why this offense is so dangerous David because they can score in a hurry because of how efficient they are throwing the football and welcome to Modern college football that's what it is spread you out find my Playmakers make quick decisions and really put defenses in a difficult situation well he did a good job getting to the middle of the field that's where the offense wanted to attack on that play he's just got to do a better job looking that football in ball still at the 45 after the incompletion they'll snap it second and 10 out of the shotgun they go to the ground and a nice solid pick up there before the defense wrestles him to the ground I I like it just frustrate the defense get that five to six yards make him onor the Run make him know that you're willing to run the football and run it effectively and the quarterback is snowed under oh it's a missed opportunity you know the quarterback was excited he saw man coverage he thought he was going to have an opportunity to come up with a big play but up front they could not protect him well enough cover guys do their job and they get him stopped at the 22 yd line the volunteer offense is back and they hope it's touchdown time in Tennessee last time David it was one two three kick the last drive that three and out sometimes that puts your defense in a bad spot and you got to get a drive together here so you don't wear the defense out I just think David too predictable at that last Drive they got to do something here to get get this defense on their heels they'll line up for a second down play back to throw itam malava unloads to the right he makes a catch he's run out of bounds but not before turning in a big pickup and moving the sticks for a first down love that throw there and I remember as a gator playing against Tennessee you knew as a quarterback you were going to have to bring your aame to the park because of who was on the other sideline I played against pton Manning and I played against T Martin who won a national championship there they have a legacy at that position and this guy for Tennessee he has a chance to be the next great one got stuffed on first down it's second and 10 here's a quick throw out to the left they've got it to the 49 yd line and they'll move the chains and a big key on that throw to the slot receiver guys is putting the ball out in front the location of the throw is what helped that guy get extra yards after the catch and the volunteers are moving quickly down the field he's got it on the right one step WRA Two Step squeeze this junior knows how to get him on the ground when with the running game on first down now back at it they'll run the toss he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple this has got to be disappointing if you're the offense guys you were expecting to have a lot of success running the ball especially against this defense which is struggled so much this season but just nothing doing they have not been good enough in the trenches so far they are finding soft spot in this defense he's got it down to the 25 well look that wasn't a touchdown but that was a massive play for this offense they needed some momentum they needed to find a rhythm in what better way than converting on third down awesome job by the quarterback getting to his progression out of the gun the running back has it got some room headed to the goal line and he's sprinting he'll take it all the way touchdown volun and the offense continues to run the football the second get rushing touchdown from the running back the offensive line Paving holes and continue to feed this man the ball let's go to the studio now and check in with Kevin Connor Kevin what do you got boys if it's happening in college football we've got eyes on it check this out North Carolina is down right now but that kid on the defensive side I know this is a big statement but he looks like a young Lawrence Taylor do not rule out a comeback they're trailing by just two to Stanford he's taking the shot he's got it down the right side he's Off to the Races touchdown Florida and once he found daylight it was Katie Bar the Door baby really nice job working the route and getting himself open he was able to locate the football snag it out of the air and this guy now has five receiving touchdowns on the year 2 he'll bring it out it's Staley he stopped short of the 20 at the 19 and probably wishes he had just taken the Touchback Tennessee ready to go to work the Big Orange offense on the field boy David they would love to stack another touchdown on top of that last drive and this offense did such a good job on the last Drive everything in Rhythm moov the ball down the field didn't make those mistakes Jesse and they need to do it again on this one yeah you're right they had the defense on their heels you wonder what sort of communication was going on that sideline what sort of changes were they able to make cuz they got to stop the bleeding right now they'll snap this one from the 32 it's first down caught over the middle it's Davis and that was some kind of collision between a couple of big bodies there and he stopped from getting the first down offense gets set for second down and he just just overshot his man and threw it out of bounds incomplete and how loud is it in this building this is crazy this these fans are going absolutely nuts and I used to love when the fans got involved and I'm on defense because it messes with the snap count it messes with the communication and it can really rattle on offense there to make the tackle and with that we'll head to the fourth quarter we've come to the end of the quarter and it's Florida on top let's take a quick look at the national rankings to see how this playoff race is shaping up one quarter to go and might we have the makings of a classic fourth quarter [Applause] finish back at it to open the quarter with this first down play they'll run the option he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three I just love the way the defense prepares each and every week we see this defense come out and it's like 11 guys they've got their head in the game and they're playing as one unit they knew it was going to be tough facing this option game with the quarterback in in the running attack but they've just done such a good job so far staying home playing their assignments you saw it on that last play right there rallying to the football nowhere for him to go in creating a big L he's run out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down and man this quarterback has had a day with that pass he goes over 300 yd on the day really nice job executing putting up some yards today pretty good day for the young man looking to throw it's yam malava a strike downfield and he'll take it in they couldn't get him on the ground touchdown ball quarterback's ability to read the field is huge and also the anticipation the timing to be able to throw the football Jesse and hit a guy in stride so he can get run after the catch and get in the end zone that was a nice job by the quarterback yeah it's critical dve listen a lot of times touchdown passes aren't thrown into the end zone you got to read the coverage hit the open guy and let him do the rest good job by the coverage unit to put a stop to that return the gator sending the offense back to work they torched this defense with an explosive pass passing play for a score last time out let's see if they go right back at him running to the left across the 25 he's got room he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense I'll tell you the defense is going to have to do a much better job containing these outside run plays they better be able to funnel the football back to the middle of the field because this guy with his speed can kill you like you did on that outside Run play there to the left they'll go to the ground they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one man down on the play as the officials take a break to let him be checked out lost one on that last one it's second and 11 he's looking to throw grabbed in the back field it's Daniels and he'll step out of Bounds at through a very productive play running backs just have to be a weapon in the passing game even for little dump offs and check Downs yeah find your matchups I mean you think about running back versus a linebacker we like that matchup in space and so find ways to get the football to your running back in space where you can break tackles and make things happen cuz they're just so Dynamic they'll try to run for it and he'll pick up the first down after a tough run there they came into this game today knowing that this guy was going to have to leave his Mark in this one tote in the Rock and he's done that he's come up with some big plays and he continues to do that here late at a juncture where they've got to continue running it if they're going to win they'll throw it on first down safe completion on the screen they make the stop but a good pick up there on first down I'll tell you what if you want to be overzealous and you want to be a Blitzer all the time I like running the screen right behind him did a great job Dr throwing the screen almost broke this one for a long game but it just keeps the defense a little bit more honest if you want to start bringing a lot of pressure line getting set on second [Applause] down on the move it's Daniels the offense coughs it up and the defense snatches it and theyve revers the field you got to give the defense credit here David I mean this has been a hardfought game a lot of these guys have played tons of snap yeah they're all out there and they're exhausted and they're tired but they are still fighting and they're able to come away with that takeway and an unbelievable takeaway because of the time in the game this is a tie game late in the ball game my team needs a takeaway we need to do something otherwise they're going to milk this clock go down the field try to score now we flipped the script now we got the ball with a chance at a tie game to go win this thing he's been a matchup problem all season long defenses just don't know how to solved the puzzle and with that last catch over 500 yds receiving now on the year for him now on First and 10 from the 27 PS and fires complete they make the stop trying to pick up just a little bit at a time to get to that first down marker good job reading the defense by the quarterback on that RPO field he waited to see how the defense was going to play the Run he saw Defenders bite up close to the line of scrimmage and right away he knew he had the slant throw right in behind him they'll get him on the ground at the 46 and it'll be a first down the volunteers come to the line with a new set of downs with Jet Sweep pass and he's able to find a little bit of Running Room before they get him down well you got to give the defense a lot of credit on this play because they were doing a nice job understanding who had the football and where they were so nice job by the defense rallying around that ball carrier and now not giving up the first down the give from the gun he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple well they're just trying to run the ball but that time there was absolutely nowhere for the running back to go and as a result that's a tackle for [Applause] loss big third down as the crowd Gets behind this defense to throw it's yam malava and he missed opportunity on third down as the defense knocks it free and fourth down is coming up the VS will call on their punt team they'll look to pin him deep and the ball hits at the three and gets into the end zone it'll be a Touchback Florida has the ball back and here comes the offense that fumble and crust territory just ruined that last Drive David yeah and those are frustrating when you got the offense moving a little bit and you put that thing on the deck Jesse but move on reload forget about it at the end of the day it's just fundamental football right they practice it all week five points of pressure every ball carrier has to have it they just got to do a better job moving forward still at their own 20y after that last inom complete it's second and 10 he's looking to throw quickly to the tight end a nice job by the defense there tackling the catch and smothering the tight end they know this offense is going to try to find him in the passing game in a lot of different situations that time perfect coverage and nice job bringing the big guy down not easy to do so they're facing third and short from the 25 from the gun wants to pass got his man quickly really good job to pick up a chunk of yardage and get it out to the 39 yd line now on first down after that [Applause] completion the give to to the tail back a confident tough efficient run gets it up to the 44 five to six yds a pop I don't know if you guys are really good at that but that usually equals a first down every couple carries so don't forget about the Run game keep them honest pound that rock halfway there on first down it's second and five wide receiver shows [Applause] motion looking for a man it's flagway and he was drilled just as he released the pass it's incomplete this really has been a Master Class by the quarterback with decision making right we've already seen him throw multiple touchdown passes in the game he's understood when to take his shots and when to throw it away when things aren't there like on that last play Third and short from the 44 and we might know if they plan to go for it on fourth down by what they call here from the gun wants to pass throws to the back got it in the middle it's Daniels oh and the defense in Chase mode and they finally get him down at the 35 yeah and Palmer I don't know what his grade's going to be but hitting over 400 yds on the day I I think coaches are going to be pretty impressed with the day this young man had no doubt and I think for defensive coordinators moving forward now you're going to be charged with having to find answers to try to slow this guy down today we've seen this defense try blitzing Zone coverage man coverage theyve mix up Personnel none of it is wored this guy has carved them apart they're going to ride this running back able to scr three yards out of that one somehow it's second and seven the defense calls a timeout and that's their last one of the half after the three- yd pickup they come to the line Second and seven Bulls his way forward and a good solid pickup before the defense cuts it down it's all tied up this offensive line they want the pressure they want everything to go through them here they're saying look let's just run the ball let's get this thing down closer and closer to the goal line let's bleed some clock and put ourselves in the position to win on Third and short they keep it on the ground here brought to the ground but not before getting enough for the first down and you know big chunks like this don't happen unless you commit to the Run game you got to get those big boys up front into the game understanding I want to knock people off the football create some holes like you do here for my running back make the game easy they'll run the option he'll toss it touchdown gator and in the final moments they've taken the lead and how about this offense man they knew they needed to execute great play calling great Drive put it together now you got a chance to go up by seven late in this ball game and then let your defense go on the field and seal it for you he'll take a knee it's a Touchback save every second he can as they try to put together this final drive [Applause] no time to waste here they've got to get set and pick up chunk yardage trying to find his man on first down snares it outside it's [Applause] Davis got to get everybody lined up quickly time winding away and they've got to push the ball down the field he's going to pass on second down good job to avoid the negative play and just get rid of that thing well you look at the clock we've got time for one more play but they're out of hail marry range here needing a touchdown to win this game this is going to be a a last second last chance play that they practiced by the way throughout the week it's going to involve probably a lot of laterals you've seen crazier stuff happen in college football coming after him and he's all bottled up and now it's worse the ball's loose defense coming up with a huge fumble [Applause] [Music] [Applause] recovery after the stumble earlier this year a lot of people wrote this team off people might be searching for spots on the bandwagon again now yeah give this coaching staff a lot of credit too Reese because they made a few tweaks and adjustments schematically to their personnel as well and they've really now seemed to find a nice Rhythm and it's hard to find that early in the season but the good teams figure out who they are what they do well and you can tell they're starting to get in the groove figure out who does what well and maximize that and accentuate that that's going to do it for us
