UPDATED 49ers Depth Chart After SIGNING Leonard Floyd & Josh Dobbs, TRADING For Maliek Collins

Intro [Music] excited for today's San Francisco 409 report I'm Chase senior thank you so much for hanging out here with us a lot of moves for the ners so far an NFL free agency so we're going to go position group by position group and take a look at this new roster and take a gander at the new depth chart and really as we look ahead we're going to have an idea what this ners team in 2024 is going to look like outside of draft picks and obviously some moves made on the peripheries of this roster first before we get started share this video with your friends and your family members let senor for a retweet click post thank you in advance for being a real one let's start off at the quarterback Quarterback position we know that Brock pie is going to be this team starting quarterback and saw some chatter on X about how special his work ethic is from Brett Coleman who is one of the OG NFL YouTubers right now as far as film study goes he sat down and had dinner with some coaches who work mechanically with Brock pretty they said his work ethic absolutely insane and he said we have not seen the best from Brock pry yet he basically stripped down his mechanics going into the NFL draft he redid them and he thinks that PR is going to become even better of a quarterback so the arrow pointing up for him I think that's a great sign for San Francisco what he does makes up for him being a little bit shorter and not having an insane arm as far as the arm strength goes touch accuracy processing anticipation hopefully we see more of him getting creative and making plays happen with his legs he's going to be qb1 and I think Josh dos after signing that one-year $2.25 million deal much of that guaranteed is going to be qb2 aerospace engineer at Tennessee so he's been able to master the Playbook step in sometimes intense situations disadvantageous situations and play really really good football cool story back in 2016 against Georgia LED an insane comeback Hail Mary to Joan Jennings at the end of regulation as the buzzer sounded an epic moment there and then last year he started for Kyler Murray when Kyler Murray was hurt traded to the Vikings after Kirt cousins got hurt and he was traded for five days earlier then on the road in Atlanta he leads this comeback in which he accounts for three four touchdowns Kevin oconnell the head coach for the Vikings was relaying the play to him and what to expect up until the 15-second mark on the play clock and Josh jobs was balling so that's the player that the Niners are getting and it's important to have a veteran backup quarterback who is smart K Shanahan's going to love him who is experienced who's shown that he can win games if the starter does get injured and then Brandon Allen back with the Niners on that one-year $1.21 million deal the life of a backup and the life of a third Stringer I might like that in a future life maybe not my second life but my third life you make a lot of money you're a quarterback often times you're goodlooking you get a bag and sometimes you get the play and then you can end up being a coach at some point pretty damn cool now to the running back Running Back position Niners with three of them on the roster so I think they're going to have to adjust this spot in the NFL draft chrisan mcaffrey offensive player of the year more than 2,000 allpurpose yards a special special season for number 23 in 2023 Elijah Mitchell I think his future is up in the air just because of the injuries I like Jordan Mason maybe in year three the coaching staff can start to trust him a little bit more and then Kyle use cheek still going to be the highest paid fullback in the game even after restructuring that contract very important to what the niners do on the offensive side of the ball Embrace yourselves I do think the ners draft the running back hopefully not in round three because round three selections at running back have been cursed for S Francisco with Ty Davis price and Trey Surman wide receiver let's pivot there next Brandon auk wide receiver one Debo Samuel wide receiver two jwan Jennings wide receiver three all of them back for 2024 at least as of right now barring a trade the backups Chris Conley back on a one-year contract Ronnie Bell as well as Danny gray will we ever see something from Danny gray a vertical Speedster on this offense could be dangerous but he's done zilch up to this point since also being a third round pick at SMU but I want to see that 43 and NFL Combine 40 yard dash speed on display at some point maybe he can finally put it together and if you disagree with me that Brandon iuk is wide receiver one Debo Samuel is wide receiver two I get it Debo was a first team All Pro in 2021 Brandon auk was a second team All Pro in 2023 and if you look at the production the last two years Brandon auk has been the better wide receiver more games played 33 to 28 more targets 219 to 183 more recep itions 153 to 116 not close there more receiving yards more than 800 for Brandon iuk 2300 to, 1500 yards per catch more for Brandon iuk total touchdowns this is where Debo becomes one of the most special players in all of football one of the most dynamic weapons an insane home run hitter and a player who is absolutely one of one 17 total touchdowns to iuk 15 but again what have you done for me lately and Brandon iuk lately has been the better wide receiver so on our depth chart he's wide receiver one for me who will lead the Niners in receiving in 2024 if iuk is back I think it's iuk again what was so special about this Niners team auk KD Debo mcaffrey all more than 1,000 allpurpose yards it's why they were the number one offense in the NFL LED also by Brock pie end is an interesting position for the ners here George KD first 1,000 yard receiving season since 2019 it was good to see him break out the backbone of this Niners culture watching him play as a blocker and a pass catcher a special physicality brute Forest effort personality the backup tight ends though I think it's an issue on this team brayen Willis cam latu both draft picks in the 2023 class who didn't do anything for this team last year and I think it's time for the ners to get serious about tight end 2 Charlie Warner Ross dwell moving on so you have the two sophomore players backing up George KD if he gets hurt do you have confidence they can step in and be pass catchers I don't think so I think it's time to get a pass catching tight end not Charlie Warner not Ross dwell a pass catching tight end in the draft Jared Wy out of TCU is a freak athlete and you also have to look ahead to when George KD might not be on this team any longer it's time to start planning right now and then lastly offensively the offensive line depth chart looks like the ners might run it back with the same offensive line that they had in Super Bowl 58 same offensive line that struggled in the playoffs gave up 11 pressures nine of them unblocked from Kansas City Trent Williams stud Aaron Banks very solid there's a really good football player in there just has to be consistent hopefully in a contract year he'll be able to be Jake brindle would like to see him get a Little Bit Stronger on that lower half I think at this point he is what he is and there was a reason he was a journeyman up until he became the starter two years ago John Feliciano fourth ranked rushing guard in the NFL as far as the Run blocking grade and 25th pass blocking grade and for him to come back minimal salary that's huge Spencer berford still a young player but you needed to bring Feliciano back love that move as his value in free agency and then colon mckivitz given that contract extension I think the ners are going to go off of tackle at some point in the first or second round to compete with Colton mckivitz and hopefully that tackle turns into a decade long stud and they can unseat mckivitz because he's better suited as a backup in this league I am begging here I am begging please please please drafted offensive lineman in the first or second round not just because it impacts your football team for 2024 but I want to see that offensive lineman become a dog a Muller a Masher a pancer for the next 5 to 10 years I'm tired of these stop Gap options I'm tired of not being able to watch Blue Chip prospects in the trenches draft and offensive lineman please San Francisco it is time to value that position group because the last three years in the playoffs and the biggest of games it's kept you from reaching your ultimate goal still have Javon hardgrave I saw my guy big bow with the $2 Super Chat feelings on hardgrave last year solid player not good enough for the investment of a 4-year $84 million contract he is on the wrong side of 30 but hopefully has a bounceback year where he's the elite player that he was in 2022 when he had 11 sacks Malik Collins 85 quarterback pressures the last two years Leonard Floyd one of three players in the NFL fell with at least nine sacks the last four years he's played in more than 100 consecutive games love the ability to bend the edge get the pressure on the quarterback set the edge be solid against the run better player than Chase young and Nick Bosa hopefully he can return to that dominant Defensive Player of the Year for him he was still very good in 2023 but when you're getting paid $34 million per year lot of expectations and when you look at that defensive line there and obviously they made some Dept Moves In free agency Jordan Elliot featured on that dep chart Kevin given back defensive end defensive tackle needs in the draft can they get anything from Robert Beal if they're not confident in that got to get an edge and defensive tackle of course because you want that building block along the interior of this defensive line linebacker also a little bit of a new look now when Joy Greenlaw comes back he'll be one of the off ball coverage linebackers in addition to Fred Warner Devon Dre Campbell going to get a lot of snaps D winners Jaylen Graham and you know Demetrius Flanigan fouls they're back and Ezekiel Turner is a player who comes to the Niners from Arizona more of a special teams value there for him in Flanigan fouls D winners Jaylen Graham two players I want to see that year one to year 2 jump when green law comes back you might not see a lot of them because you'll see green law Warner dandre Campbell Campbell is basically that Michael Kendricks or Eric Kendricks excuse me replacement Michael Kendrick also played in the NFL for a long time Campbell First Team all pro back in 2021 he has said the last couple of years he's been criminally misused hopefully he could tap into that 2021 form to the quarterback position here for San Francisco I think there could be changes here by the time week one comes around in September charvarius word dador L are going to be on this team but is Lenor going to be on the outside is he going to be on the inside right now we'll list him miss a slot nickel because that's what he is Chase Lucas a backup coming over from Detroit good special teams player has some ability at nickel Isaac yadam look out for him an analytical darling one of those signings that's going to fall under the radar very very good in replacing Marshon Latimore last year and analytically one of the highest graded Corners in the National Football League what can the young pups do Samuel W darell lutter Jr their development going to be key but could the Niners make a move here I'm sensing the secondary is not complete that includes Corner that includes safety in the draft and or in free agency and it includes safety here because art talano Hua Jer Brown going to be the starting safeties for this defense come week one you have taleno Huong coming off the Tor ACL Jer Brown played really really good football replacing Hua third round pick out of Penn State this past year I love both of them Hua jier Brown they're dogs really really good players but is Hu going to mix in at the safety spot knowing that Nick senson might change the defense a little bit and the Niners have tapped in on Justin Simmons they brought in um Julian Blackman for a visit they looked at ran Jenkins George Odum special teams Ace one of the best special teamers in the National Football League he's a solid backup there then you have Taylor Hawkins who is more so of a practice squad player and the specialist to round things out here Jake Moody I think was a little bit better than what people will give him credit for as a rookie in this league like my man hit two 50 plus yard field goals in the Super Bowl I get it the extra point got blocked the trajectory of that kick was low that is on him but he has a boot he came came through in some clutch moments even though he missed that kick against Cleveland bad moment there I get it but a young player who I do think has a lot of potential and you're not paying him a lot of dough Mitch wishnowski one of the best punters in the game this past year and then tabber pepper The Long Snapper Elite Long Snapper maybe even more Elite Hair on the Dome how
