Devin Leary scores TD...Nearly beats Eagles

uh de Deon lry nice to see you again yeah good to see you too and so the um it's interesting you know your first game as a professional is against Phil Eagles all at 32 teams crazy isn't it you know had it be a little surreal when you walked right out there yeah I mean it's crazy to think you know earlier today looking at some throwback pictures of myself as a child every year for Halloween dressing up as the Eagles player whether it was Donan Donovan McNab my little brother's actually named after Donovan mcav his his name is Donovan L yeah I thought Devon Don would do just a d thing you know in a sense but my dad big Dom McNab fan um so I did a story on your other cousin so your I think your mom tweeted out and another one yeah another one another l in football story he plays quarterback too but I mean honestly just a childhood dream come true to wrap it up honestly yeah and then you almost pulled off you struggled at the beginning yeah was there something that you reach for inside that said you know I'm not going to have my first game you know and without something really positive happening something really positive happened yeah I mean first couple drives you know we stalled a little bit um you know I wish I I could have you know done a little bit better on those drives But ultimately it's first NFL game first time getting snaps in a game setting and it's just next play mentality you know once I got worried that I was going to begin another another drive to start the fourth quarter you know I had to make the most of it our offensive line our offense as a whole and you know coach monk did a great job of calling the plays and we operated in a much better you know sense that drive yeah so I guess just a matter of calming down I mean you've been in big stadiums you've been in big games before so that part of it wasn't a big deal for you I think it's just this is a pro level yeah defin Eagles definitely Pro a little bit different um but ultimately just getting into that Rhythm getting into the Rhythm and um the uh and obviously the best call he made was the very last one on that drive right the one yard touchdown to scor QC yeah yeah I mean I can't take credit for that that's all the old line they just me in there tush push you tush push so so and just a one ask question is do you think you move the needle with your coaches and and your the o line trusting you and things like that because they talk about that in Philly about you know players earning the trust of the quarterback and and vice versa that that people trust the quarterback yeah I definitely think you know it's our job to earn that respect to earn you know that push of the needle so to say um but it's also our job to show up every day you know just one performance can't completely sway everyone to one side um if you don't show up like that every single day for so for me it's just you know make sure I can stack days on top of each other get back to work tomorrow watch the film and you know we got some work to do so including myself getting back to it on practice on Monday all right Deon thanks a lot
