and get ready West Virginia because you have a new and easy opportunity to say welcome to New York Breeze Airways announced this week that they will have a new non-stop route from Charleston to New York people can start flying into the area starting on November 14th this is in addition to the other 17 new routes that will start later this year and into 2025 these flights will be every Thursday and Sunday it will specifically go into Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark New Jersey just outside of New York City Governor Jim Justice mentioned this new flight path in his press briefing this week take a listen and and you know it's it it doesn't seem like my dream trip but but to be perfectly honest if we're going if if if we're going to be able to go into New York and uh and get into New York City and everything there's a lot a lot a lot of folks and lots you know that that can be really beneficial too Breeze will be offering the flight starting at $49 each way Breeze Airways Prides itself on being a lowcost airline offering point-to-point services to underserved areas in the US a breeze Airway spokesman explains that breeze is doing this because it's what the public wanted we started out of Charleston about a year and a half ago I think now uh and and we have been flying to Myrtle Beach to Orlando to Tampa uh and people are are loving it but um we kept hearing you know we've got no non-stop to New York and Breeze is all about connecting cities that don't have uh non-stop service now and so we we don't look to compete with other airlines on on big routes we think okay there's demand here and people are having to fly through a hub to get there so that's a natural route for Breeze and so uh that that's when we connect two uh which which has been very successful
