doing great good how are you feeling I am feeling okay I'm really tired like I turned on the computer and I'm like okay I I want to take a nap uh I I finally got Co I have been wearing my mask everywhere I was the only one in the airport wearing it and and I got it I got I tested uh I woke up Wednesday morning with a scratchy throat and I uh oh and I tested positive and uh according to the CDC I am no longer contagious I've never had a fever and and um after 5 days they don't consider you contagious anymore but I'm staying in a hotel because I had to stay at my son's house because he was on vacation and I was taking care of my grand pets so I left the day that they um the day that they came back and I've just been staying in this hotel and these people have been very nice it is um what is it called Fairfield in lovely people they've just been great so and I'll be leaving here on Friday and you know that I'm just sleeping everybody I'm just sleeping so yeah this strain like I said it's the first time I've got it there is a new booster vaccine out I'm going to get it as soon as I can um once you have Co this close you have to wait a while before you get a booster I believe but I need to check on that but I'm going to get it because other than sleeping um it it hasn't been bad at all so I'm very very very fortunate oh Zelda's ghost I'm so sorry that you post you posted that you tested positive for uh for Co but before we get into the True Crime here just little updates on a few things uh there's things going on in Sebastian Rogers case uh there was a YouTuber that was arrested and I've heard for two things one for failure to appear and the other for um violating a uh protective order I don't know which one it is but that YouTuber is now out uh I there's all kinds of big drama going on um I know I read that Seth Rogers Sebastian Rogers father was was backing her which just absolutely shocked me um I thought okay well maybe maybe now but no so anyway um I'm we're going to invite um Steve Fisher on SF investigates uh for tomorrow night just because I want to find out more about this protective order and what's the deal I mean I I don't understand so hopefully he'll be able to come on tomorrow night and talk more about it but gives me a great excuse to put up Sebastian's picture again he went missing uh at the end of February February 26th his mom said she heard a thump while he was in bed she told him to get into bed and he said yes I will or yes and then he vanished without his shoes apparently he had one pair of shoes and all his shoes were accounted for and uh door was locked from the inside it's the weirdest damn thing ever so just keep your eye out he's 15 gangly kid happy kid look at his picture don't hesitate to call the police if you think you see him uh but there is nothing I mean nothing um the law law enforcement has said unequivocally parents and stepfather Chris proudfoot are absolutely cooperating they have not given any indication that his mother Katie proudfoot is a suspect at all just the opposite now they haven't said anybody's cleared but uh certainly have never suggested that anybody is even being looked at it is the weirdest damn thing I have ever seen so one of two things happened uh he either somehow was able to get out of the house without his shoes and able to uh lock the doors and vanish Without a Trace or something happened to him before he got home and somebody's not being truthful there's nothing to suggest nothing to suggest either one I mean that's the problem okay I'm not suggesting Katie proudfit had anything to do with her son's disappearance I don't know it's just so damn weird so everybody please uh keep your your eyes and ears out and again lots of drama going on because when you uh bring drama people into it like Seth did Seth is uh his Sebastian's father welcome some people who are full of drama when you do that that's what's going to happen so we'll hopefully get a little more information for you tomorrow night but everybody please always always be on alert for Sebastian Rogers again there is nothing to indicate that his mother or father or stepfather had anything to do with his disappearance it's just the weirdest damn thing ever so okay uh before we get into True Crime I want to tell you a little story that happened and it bothers me and I've been thinking about it and thinking about it so the night Friday night when will was coming home I had to leave because the house is so small if I was there that he'd come down everybody would come down with it so he was getting home like at 1:00 a.m. so I I called an Uber to bring me here about 9:00 and the Uber driver doesn't turn into the driveway he pulls up the street about four or five car lengths now I have you know and I'm exhausted I mean I can barely feel like I can barely move and I have my my um my suitcase I have a big bag with my laptop and then I have a big bag with a bunch of food and water I had to take with me like a garbage bag and I have to carry them down these big ugly horrible steps and the Uber driver just sat there and so I left him at the bottom of the steps and I walked over to the car and I said could you please pull in the driveway I have a lot of luggage and I can't carry it over so he backs up and he tries to pull in the driveway and his wheel goes off the curb they're tearing up the sidewalks in front of my son's house and replacing it so it went FP and he backed up and he said I can't pull in the driveway and I said okay well just pull close to the driveway so he pulls close to the driveway and he pops the trunk and he just sits in his car so I go grab one thing I take it and I put it there and I go grab another and I mean it it's taking me forever and I finally said could you please and I'm almost in tears I'm like could you please help me please and he gets out and he helps me and then he takes me to the uh to the hotel and it was a real quick trip so it wasn't very expensive and he gets out and I said okay I'm going to go get uh you know one of those carts and he actually went and got it brought it popped his trunk and then sat there and so I took my luggage out and put it on and uh he finally helped put it on and I gave him a 20 and he go he started to protest because that was like you know a lot more than the ride because it was really close and I said no no no I said I want you to remember remember me and what I'm going to say to you I said when you see a person of my age and they are struggling and I said and I know you saw me struggling I said cuz you know everybody saw me struggling that was driving by you know some guy honked at me you know he could tell I was you know not in good shape I said just out of common human courtesy if you could offer to help and I said and I guarantee you if you do that you will get big tips you'll get really big tips because people are willing to pay for kindness I said so I know you've got a lot on your mind with your day and you probably weren't even paying attention I said but if you could just take a moment and pay attention to the people that you're picking up I said it really could change your life by earning a lot more money and you could help somebody who's having a really bad day and he just stared at me he goes okay yeah I don't think I don't think it I don't think it hit at all but um anyway I was just I was so shocked because I was I mean I thought he's got to notice that I am having a hell of a time even walking you know I was wearing a mask I was wearing gloves didn't even phase him didn't even F but maybe maybe it did maybe it did and I gave him a high rate when I did his review you know I wasn't going to say anything negative because I want him to remember me as positive so there there's my little whine for a moment how's everybody else doing well yeah cat's Gallery that's what I wanted to do because I really thought he was a young kid um he sounded like he was from Utah and I think he literally didn't comprehend what was going on it didn't occur to him that I was taking so long and stopping and going and then you know doing that he probably wasn't even looking at me you know what I mean didn't enter his mind so yeah that's what I wanted to do I wanted to give him a chance whoops I wanted to give him a chance to be a better person and to understand and again um I just he I don't think it entered his mind and that's what I want to uh to change in his mind so I hope I did youa it's good to see you my darling so good to see you my daughter does a lot of stuff like that and door Dash and Uber Eats and stuff so I know that if you're doing a uber and you want help with luggage you're supposed to let them know in the app so that's all I know about it that's all I know about it I no that's yeah they can't help though yeah I just clicked on the app and and said I didn't know there was anywhere to put help with luggage I will look at that so I've never used Uber just lift and I'm sorry to cough a minute ago I thought I muted myself and I hit a comment I guess so sorry um Bullseye I I know what you're thinking and I understand it but I was so careful not to get close to him and I sat in the back and I wore a big thick mask so that's funny though I know I know you're thinking what a lot of people have said to me so I get it I get it so anyway it was um it was just it was so troubling you know because it just again it didn't occur to him so oh I know like my husband it doesn't matter if he knows a person or not if he sees somebody struggling he helps immediately that's just his reaction and that's he's a good guy and you know if he was an Uber driver but yeah I didn't know there was a place on the Uber app that you could say I need help with my luggage I will definitely look so okay anyway um that uh that that's it that's my little and that's about the most exciting thing that has happened because other than me sleeping that is it so anyway okay uh a lot of people are saying in here that they Uber drivers have offered to help and that's great that's that's great yeah and I've had Uber but see I've never because I I've always been healthy and they've you know either grabbed my luggage for me or whatever I've never needed it they've offered before which just been great you know so anyway there is one thing I do notice real quick about lot of people nowadays A lot of people are now afraid to touch anybody or well sure I want anybody touching me yeah people freak out like you know back in the day if I bumped into somebody I put my hand on their shoulder oh I'm so sorry you know nowadays people will freak out over the smallest thing yeah so terrible I agree you shouldn't I don't think you should touch anybody for that reason but again I would think if you saw somebody struggling and you're giving them a ride you yeah you're 20 you might get out and help them so anyway okay so um scooter I don't know how long I'm going to be back um I'm going to do it tonight and we'll see how it goes tomorrow night and we'll see how it goes Thursday and I'm flying Friday so but I still think I should be in home in time to be here so anyway let's talk about the other stuff that's going on and my lipstick is already wearing off what the hell is going on with my life oh cat's Gallery if I had have winked at him he would have paid absolutely no attention and if he would have seen it he would have said oh God that is just the grossest thing I've ever seen her winking at me what the hell is she thinking so anyway so okay um let's see oh let's talk about what happened here in Utah have you heard what uh happened here the Utah mother and children's book author Corey richen she's going to stand trial for her husband's death yeah remember she K allegedly kills her husband by poisoning him and uh then writes a book about dealing with grief with your children it the ultimate in audacity but this happened in a Park City Utah my old stomping ground a Utah mother of three who published a children's book about grief after her husband's death and was later accused of thily poisoning him will stand trial the judge ruled today Utah State Judge Roy uh mezich ruled on the second day of Corey Rich's preliminary hearing the prose ERS had presented enough evidence against her to proceed with the jury trial and so anyway now she appeared very stoic okay but supposedly she gave a lethal dose of fentanyl in March of 2022 at their home in a small mountain town near Park City prosecutors say Corey richens 34 slipped five times the lethal dose of the synthetic opioid into a Moscow Mule cocktail that Eric richens drank all right now she has 11 counts she's pleaded not guilty to all of them the second day of her preliminary hearing centered around an additional attempted murder charge filed earlier this year that accused her of slipping fentanyl into her husband's sandwich on Valentine's Day 2020 causing a severe but non-fatal reaction so yeah she was wanting this guy gone for a long time um here's the deal one bite of his favorite sandwich left with a note in the front seat of his truck on Valentine's Day made Eric richens break out in hives and blackout prosecutors allege his wife had brought the sandwich bought the sandwich from a local Diner in the city of cus two days after she purchased fentanyl pills from the family's housekeeper according to the witness statements yeah so family housekeepers you know kind of knows what's going on here thank goodness Now text messages and location data indicate Cory richens may have bought brought the sandwich home then left to spend Valentine's Day with another man with whom she was having an affair a day after Valentine's Day she texted her lover if he could just go away life would be so perfect now in written testimony two friends of Eric richens recounted phone conversations from the day prosecutors say he was first poisoned by his wife of nine years after injecting himself with his son's epip pin and chugging a bottle of of badril he awoke from a deep sleep and told a friend I think my wife just tried to poison me yeah so she's a you know she's a piece of work so then she finally does it and then writes this book and it's really popular I think she even got like on The Today Show she got all these great interviews so yeah it uh it is crazy so that's going to be a trial we're going to be watch and you know you got to know with somebody like Corey richens I doubt she'll ever plead guilty again it's alleged uh but you know she's just one of those people that will I can just feel it in my bone she's not going to admit if she ever did anything wrong ever ever 100% agree with you yep that M Moscow mu mom y you're right yeah and we've we've followed it it's just crazy it's just absolutely crazy so anyway um what else I just I wish your husband had a had a brother he sounds so wonderful can we just get his DNA insightful one and and create a man just like him he sounds so wonderful I told him that a while back he all we did our son yes but that would be weird if I dated you yeah he's he's he's only 23 so you know that I don't think he does have a brother but he's in his 30s or 40s now well see and he doesn't need to look at me he can just marry me for my riches because I have so many as you know via Sido it's good to see you um I do need to talk to you my dear uh we are going to be looking into later on sometime later on this month we're going to be looking into the backlog of DNA rape kits that are being thrown away because the statute of limitation is up and they didn't have any way to test them so we're going to be looking into that and uh it was via stuido that gave me the idea and I do appreciate it my dear so there's such an a great example as we know of why the rape kits being tested you know in a timely fashion can save lives and save other people exactly and you know there should not be a statute of limitations if you have DNA from a rape should be like a murder there's no statue we've got the DNA we know who did it and we have to take 40 years to find it we'll find them you know yeah Bernardo is that example you know perfect example exactly Janet Smith that was the other one I am shocked that the Robert Tellis verdict is uh taking this long last I checked they hadn't reached a verdict now this is the guy he's just a wacky dude in Las Vegas who was doing all kinds of inappropriate things at the workplace and uh this investigative reporter uncovered it and was writing about it so he allegedly killed him now in the Tellus case the jury has taken the case and what is this the third day let me look it up really quickly Here If You Could Read I believe but second Yeah by col Express says my hubby is very sweet and thoughtful after my last man I'm so not used to it but enjoying it oh well I'm happy for you that's wonderful okay so let's see here um uh deliberations end for the day in the murder trial of Robert Tellus yes day in a row jurors failed to reach a verdict in the murder trial of former Clark County public administrator strator Robert Tellis and this guy he's just just done some really freaky things here um let's see like a a woman named Alicia Goodwin who's one of the County Employees who's been waiting on this verdict said I thought it would be like an hour I really did Goodwin said I me too I mean there's so he took the stand and the prosecutors wiped the floor with him you know I mean there's DNA evidence there's all kinds of stuff so but uh anyway we'll we'll talk more about that we're GNA have uh Lauren maias on from hidden True Crime to talk about uh this case hopefully this week if they reach a verdict um oh no well his defense attorney is now saying I think they're approaching a hung jury status I don't think they are at all I think it'll be guilty and they're just you know crossing the tees and dotting their eyes because typically if they think somebody's guilty it comes back fast yeah exactly exactly and so when they take a long time it's like they want to be sure before they sentence somebody you know absolutely now the jury has asked several questions to the court both Monday and Tuesday they've asked for help zooming in on a video uh that uh his defense attorney argued could show a different person was driving what officials said was the as salance Yukon Denali on Tuesday the jury asked the court to point out which piece of evidence included Jeff Gman now that's the gentleman who was murdered Jeff Gman news article videos about Mr Tellus and they asked to review a slide a side by-side video of Tellus and the as salent walking so they're being very very very careful so anyway now according to German's articles that uh on let's see German's articles on Talis covered accusations that he created a toxic work environment at the public administrator's office and carried on an inappropriate relationship with a staffer so uh tellers lost re-election a month after German's first reported on him now the states evidence against Tellis include included his own DNA found underneath German's fingernails plus surveillance footage and items found at his home matching the as salant clothing oh boy I'm trying to find some of the stuff he did um oh and he well he got on the stand himself and he said that somebody framed him is basically what he's saying so oh and he claims that it's a company called compass realy that framed him and the company has called this accusation unconscionable and irresponsible so yeah anyway uh let's see let's see what else here anyway we we'll get more details I didn't have anything prepared on this today so we'll get more details on that a little bit later on this week now I thought we already knew this but meline sto's cause of death um was strangulation and um but I thought that had already been revealed but apparently not it was just revealed yesterday now Steph St or Stefan Sterns the mother's boyfriend has been arrested and um but I read that the mom is not going to be charged which really shocks me because she lied said she saw meline getting ready for school that morning meline was already dead and uh again I please forgive me I was reading this and sleeping and reading and sleeping I believe I I read an article that said the police said they weren't going to charge mine's Mom right so which kind of surprised me because mine's mom is admitted uh to telling meline to go sleep with her boyfriend my God you guys I can't even I can't even so um now he's been charged uh Stern has been charged charged with premeditated murder 40 counts of unlawful possession of materials depecting sexual performance by a child 5 counts of sexual battery with a child 12 to 18 family custodial Authority 7even counts of lewd or lascivious molestation and eight eight counts of sexual battery on a child Under 12 yeah this guy's a piece of disgusting work and I'm sorry I just when who tells their their 12-year-old daughter to go sleep with their disgusting boyfriend you know go sleep in his bed oh my God it just makes me nuts yeah candy Williams I'm I'm so surprised but we don't know here's the thing we and I've got to remind myself of this all the time we've got a girl what I I said good job I know what you're gonna say so yeah they know more than we do and maybe there's something going I'm sure there's something going on that we don't know maybe she there she's helping them more than we realize so we'll just have to wait and see anyway let's see oh now STL card says now I think the charges are coming well that could be but you know they sounded pretty solid you know oh that's good to know Susie B says Wade Wilson anyway um Wade Wilson learned his Fai today of uh the death for the murders of two women in Cape Coral Florida that's a wrap oh sorry there it's a script from a YouTube uh video but anyway hang on here hang on hang on let me get you the information here what the heck wait Wilson oh that's why I put the wrong word in there we go okay the scoop is Wade Wilson slaughtered two women for the sake of killing he's been sentenced to death so anyway it uh he's just a big piece of garbage absolute horrible human being and I can guarantee you if we look at his background there is no question that um he shown us who he really was you know it just makes me so sick absolutely sick anyway the murder victims were Diane Ruiz and Christine Melton but it was up to the judge to decide to have the final say in the sentencing and today they said yeah we're going to uh we're going to put the this dirt back to death again that's the only way we can absolutely guarantee that he will not kill again and I understand it is barbaric but I personally believe that we have a right to protect ourselves from people like this guy and the only way we can protect ourselves is to do that until we can find a better way then this is what we got to do so anyway um now they say that he had signs of uh brain trauma and I'm sorry and that very well is true I'm sure but again because he has signs of brain trauma doesn't mean we go okay well here let's let him go no because he's an animal he's a killer he's killing innocent people and until we can find an absolute way to stop a human from behaving like this the only thing we can do is have the death penalty I I'll always admit that's barbaric but that's the way I can guarantee that we are all safe from him so anyway that's the that's the deal okay sorry I'm starting to sweat I don't have I do not have a fever but I am starting to sweat and I don't know why oh my God no oh no no Marlene Clawson do not tell me that his fans are raising $70,000 on something named fun no oh dear God well there you go Beth brain trauma caused by bass salts again I I'm sorry he must have had horrible trauma and that is tragic but he's shown us that he will kill us me sick says I was in law and crime chat today and there were so many blue hearts and save Wade during the sentencing good Lord Almighty okay and this is really quick here um let me find it where did it go here it is oh and I want to play you a video for this one uh Aron Reed is being sued by the family of the police officer that she has allegedly uh killed and it's his name is uh O'Keefe and we're going to play a video here for you so hang on and this is from Boston ABC's WCVB Channel 5 in Boston here we go makes many of the same claims that prosecutors tried to make it Karen Reed's first criminal trial which ended with a hung jury back in July now specifically the lawsuit says that Karen Reed drank several alcoholic beverages at two bars and that she was over the legal limit when she drove her SUV and that she intentionally backed into John o'keef that night and left him to Die the lawsuit was filed by O's parents by his brother and by his teenage niece whom o'keef was Raising at the time of his death the oefs are suing not only Reed but also two bars in Canton CF McCarthy's and the waterfall bar in Grill now a Civil Trial might look much the same as Reed's criminal trial with many of the same Witnesses and evidence but with a new jury and a different legal standard the big difference between civil and criminal cases of course is the burden of proof remember it's more likely than not which means over 50% but certainly not the criminal standard of Beyond A Reasonable Doubt the family is seeking compensation for joh O'Keefe's medical bills which they say have totaled more than $50,000 but they also want compensatory and punitive damages for the emotional harm they say they have suffered and they say that was caused by the two bars and by Reed including from what they say was a conspiracy theory that they say Karen Reed knew was false now we did reach out to the defendants today both Karen Reed through attorneys and the two bars only CF McCarthy's responded saying that they have no comment now a civil case is likely to play out after Karen Reed's second criminal trial which is now scheduled to begin in January live at Boston David be wcbb News Center 5
