Netherlands our little country I love it's no little where am I where am I this a no no no this is a fantastic country I love it you know our um our band I have a little jazz band we were here a little bit ago I don't know if anybody was there at the k Kare yeah yeah the big theater we were so we had such a good time there and I just got here yesterday to do this yeah um I I love it here I I I love it here it's so nice people are so really well we I mean I could tell you so many things people have been so particularly sweet I've had magical encounters here people are just great here yeah we are and we also have a special connection you you might not be aware about oh I I A little birdie told me just today but I I know what you're going to say we share a birthday did you know that yes 22nd of October did you know that he was born uh 22nd of October yeah and I'm also 71 I'm 71 wait I don't know oh no I know how you how old you are you're like you look 27 oh that's so sweet it's true it's true but I think you're like 40 I'm 44 44 but I read you were 71 just this week and I thought how this you look young as well what what's your what's your skincare routine so funny what we were talking about this before yeah well nothing actually I mean if you're asking literally uh you know what I do I know there are beauty products for everybody I I have a bar of soap I I wash my face in the morning I wash my my face when I go to bed the but look at my skin I think I've been lucky you know look look look at my skin I think it's okay I mean I know the fact is I mean I'm not taking this compliment I know I'm coming and going I'm going to wither away very soon but for right now my my you know a lot of 71y old guys have like that wrinkly skin with spots all over it look at that could you could you please take a drop of water and drop it on my yes I will yes oh this was the interview thank you no that's so great so welcome that's chaos theory speaking of chaos speaking of our show exactly we spell it a different way but um tell tell us about it it's it's the new show on Netflix it's out now for a couple of days it's called chaos just been out a couple of days it came out August 29th and it's there are eight episodes and this was written uh brilliantly and movingly and very funny and I play and complicated I play Zeus it's the it's the gods it's the Greek gods yeah done in a modern setting I wear tracksuits and let's let's take a look short clip we yeah King of the goddamn Gods if I World humans when they're not scared they're not worshiping me be first I think my favorite is fire blessed Olympia give it to me give it to me wow that's you get the idea that's it you know thank you a little bit of the idea I i' I've seen it already and you know I'm not a God-fearing person but i' I'd rather be chased by T-Rexes in a park than by this guy he's he he is the king of the Gods he's vengeful he's hateful what was it like playing him well Charlie Kell wrote wrote it very brilliantly it's a modern Twist on it even if you're a scholar and know everything about the Greek myths you'll still find this wildly entertaining because it takes a a very interesting sharp turn on the the myths and Charlie knows all too well Clash of the Titans you know and all those movies um and has studied it uh but if you know nothing about it it's also wildly entertaining I play this Zeus character uh um complicated charismatic cruel um maybe an abuser of power maybe a pretender to the throne uh insane megalomaniacal narcissistic uh something happens and a bunch of uh beautiful beautiful earthlings uh who are loving and kind of in love with each other here and there get on to what's really going on and with energy and excitement unite to possibly we'll see in the show Turn the Page and bring this regime down me and my family crazy family we're all jockeying for status you know me and my wife we've been married for 2,000 years at least and she's also my sister that so that's kind get tone so I'm telling you be on the lookout for it I I I like it it's great I've seen it already I I got the chance to see it a little early and I really recommend people thank you for seeing it you saw you saw almost all of it I I'm saving some for the for season finale for tonight okay you and your wife I met your delightful wife Martina backstage she's the production designer she does all this yes yes she does fantastic romantic music yes I thought that was just me looking into your eyes I started to hear [Music] music I yes I think we're falling in love yeah um we could there's a next big thing coming it's a movie based on the musical yeah have you seen that stage play Al bet it's made its way around here it's been around the world I haven't seen it but yeah it's a phenomenon the last 20 years I bet some people have here have seen it it's about the witches from another point of view da d da da Ariana Grande is in it and Cynthia Revo and Michelle yo and Jonathan Bailey I play The Wizard of Oz you're singing and I sing a little bit it's funny because because when I read read a little of your history you're also a brilliant piano player jazz penist and I there was funny thing because I saw the trailer for chaos and there was a comment a YouTube comment and I thought that's the way to describe your career can I show it I I didn't write it but I found it and it says Jeff gold is literally in every movie you can't imagine him being in ever I thought that's your career right there isn't it yes yes if that means uh that it's a surprise look it's all a surprise to me when I first said I want to be an actor in the worst way I around 10 years old I was like bing at the moon and writing on my shower door every morning please God let me be an actor and then it was a secret I would yeah it's true I would uh I would wipe it off because I didn't want anybody to know so that I've become an actor at all is a wild surprise I wouldn't have and nobody would have expected to meet me to be in any these things and then I think maybe this means that you know I'm sometimes in the kinds of movies that hey what's he doing in that movie but maybe they they like
