who uh who who was a booking away from from a potential suspension in the next round Jonathan T who did get booked uh in this game and so Parton me said well why are you taking a gamble on this year through but on the other hand uh I think he was probably right to play his best lineup even though they didn't play very well because Switzerland are no pushovers and and I think they showed that they took the lead uh they they they they came very close to scoring uh a second goal I don't think Germany played well at all and the reality for Germany is had they finished second you know most likely they'd be facing Italy and Berlin which sure Germany would be favorites but generally it's probably not who you want to play because there's a lot of history there and a lot of things that can go wrong so uh for all those reasons in the end I can see why he played his strongest lineup maybe we can have a debate about why he left them out there so long when when they were a goal down you know before sending on ful KRW of course would score the The Equalizer deep in injury time I think it's just a little reality check for the Germans who you know they've been on this wave of this m wave of momentum where they they open the match where you know obviously Scotland are a pretty Poor Side certainly limited whacked them uh off the park then they got hungry again maybe a smidge B than Scotland but not much you know and and it's been pretty good for Germany this is as gab said Switzerland we didn't really see the best of Switzerland in the Scotland game I have to be honest in that game Scotland an opportunity to get uh a point could have been even better than that but this Swiss side are better than we've seen thus far I didn't see much of this game cuz our my our eyes were sort of panning on the Hungary Scotland game oh and a bit of golf in the Cora and uh but a little reality check for Germany that they've come a long way but when they come up against a side that are more of a threat and better organized although the stats look pretty good uh I think it's just maybe what Germany need to say you know guys when we start meeting these tougher sides now in The Knockout stages we're going to have it's it's a different ball game it's not Scotland and it's not hungry it's just a different ball game and if we let our masks slip then we'll be out of this tournament so I think Germany got that today and I kind of think that's where they are anyway uh although it's been as I say a wave of momentum at the start because it's been a pretty good tournament for them so far Frank you can talk now yeah and I'm I'm getting crazy and because you know what that was the most I wouldn't say stupid but irrational decision from Niger man you are you have six to be suspended now because I found the Germany squad the team sorry very tired today not able to fight with a very solid Swiss team and shows to the world that if I thought that it would be favorit or they can be one of the contender they're not anymore they're not anymore because I think they're going to be very tired in the final for if they reach it and because I think physically they're not I know I I was in it I played the third game against Denmar in 98 and that was the most difficult game because we played before South Africa and uh and Saudi Arabia but IM didn't hesitate to change 10 players almost in the third game and we did also in the European championship against the Netherland the third game and we lost it we lost the third game but we went through and the players were fresh enough to win at the N 902 minutes uh and and Gabby is now that against Italy because they were fresh enough so that's not that wasn't very clever from nman I think go no I just want to say nigles man's actually he spoke about this before the tournament uh he's basically said look um I'm going to be very honest I'm going to be very open nobody's under any Illusions I have my starting 11 I have three or four guys who will come on occasionally you got they'll be my subs and the rest of you guys are here for team spirit and basically to practice against them to to help them hone their skills and practice but be under No Illusion these guys are starting it's a m message he sent very very clearly he believes in doing things that way he calls it being honest with his players he says it's better for Team Management if everybody knows the roles and if your role is that of a tackling dummy in training well Frank labuff that's your role yeah Frank yeah yeah you know what you know what who
