down and six well third down again just no threat of it you look at tonight how much better they have been again they were pretty good when they started at 8- one it was in that three-game slide at the end of the year where their defense really took some hits but they have played masterfully tonight against both the run and the pass and they have held up physically to the style that Michigan and again I mean he is a supreme athlete with a very strong arm and the coaches said he has really developed from the time he got here till now as a passer he was a 54% completion guy in high school as a senior right that doesn't cut it in college football so his development and consistency as a passer is where he needs to go because he's got a lot of other intangible tools third and seven and lovelin can't haul it in we haven't seen him drop many balls this is a good throw by Davis Warren and Loveland just not able to Coral it he's working against the safety it's a good throw right on still on the clock and settling down the rest of his offense some of which is inexperienced but we saw a number of guys step up and make plays on that drive and also understanding look this the first each week get a little bit better and this is a huge moment for them to prove themselves it's the hardest group to develop right I mean because you have to have Five Guys working as a unit in cohesion and that takes time especially against live competition more said to win a championship you need 10 and a nice tackle there by brona again he safey making plays when Chon Moore knows what it means to play that position never a starter at Oklahoma but he was a key piece to those teams that were excellent in the Big 12 miles Hinton the starting left tackle got up hobbling a little bit two plays ago the night showcasing this offensive line here in the fourth quarter this is what Michigan did all last year run it down your throat down the stretch to end these games and mo is too tough to bring and the knowledge of wink marale he asked marale who's the best defensive back you ever coached and Wink's response Michigan Legend Charles Woodson Johnson told me he's gotten close to Woodson over the years especially wearing his number two Jersey he said I want to follow in his footsteps any chance I can get to pick his brain I take advantage of it and that includes advice on training Johnson is known to train like an NFL player and as you can see the Hall of Famer mentorship has been playing paying off well he wears that number two because that's the guy he idolized and he has certainly played to that level for this Michigan defense Fresno State is looking to find anything they can here as beum is chopped down after a gain of nine Fresno will hurry up with Keen gerro split to the tonight and they held their own Tim Skipper can they can fly home and say you know what we played well uh we did if we play this way and eliminates some of the turnovers some of the mistakes we'll be just fine with the rest of our schedule that's what you hear from the Michigan offense all the time is how much they've been sharpened by having to go up against this Michigan defense every day in of the game and your defense was was extremely Stout last year they led the nation in scoring defense 10.4 points per game and they're under that tonight with a new cast of characters and a new The Freshman quarterback played well today see him in that big stage next week well on this big stage here tonight Davis Warren the former walk-on who has been through so much through his young life makes his first start at Michigan and it's a victory 30-1 the defending Champion start the season with a win final score mutual respect between these two head coaches Tim Skipper in his first game since taking over for Jeff Tedford coach The Bull game last year now in the interim role Chiron Moore first game as the full-time head coach and continued winning and Excellence for the Wolverines
