tww Champion you overcame a ton tonight against Chris Jericho and his lackes his minions however we want to look at that uh what did it mean to you tonight to get that Championship back um I mean just it feels proper that this championships coming home to New York um I just feel like everything's the way it's meant to be it all right let's open up the floor to the media yes so radio when you made your entrance tonight your old man's music hit just at the start that Taz heartbeat and that was almost like an Easter egg of what was to come was that your pre-planning or was that a conversation between you and old man like what was the back story behind that moment um that was actually entirely my idea um I don't I don't know it just kind of came to me I was trying to think something that's what I congratulations obviously your dad has Legacy which a little on tonight after tonight and going forward what would you like your legacy to be what do you see as that um was a question like what do I see moving forward for your old Legacy yeah um just more success um just continue to trip away and yeah just more success um ask so the F Championship brought in as a bit of a joke as bit of an insult back in ECW days and a few years ago during the pmic it wasn't brought in as a joke or an insult I brought in as a really important part of the company it wasn't supposed to be a joker or anything I thought it was brought by I say it it was he didn't bring it in as a joker an insult at all though he brought it in to represent somebody who was the top push heel against the strongest book best wrestler in the world at the time which was is in was John Moxley and like and then John moxley's top Challenger was Brian Cage and Brian Cage came in as the FTW champion and said I'm the FTW champion and then we built up to Brian Cage Brian Cage won the casino ladder match and he was that FTW Champion he beat a lot of the top stars at double or nothing 2020 to build up to a match with John Moxley in the summer of 202 it was a big deal and Brian Cage was one of the top heels in the company when the FTW title came in Brian Cage still a great star great to have here tonight the title been passed through a number of different wrestlers and it's on one of our top stars in Hook but the title was never meant to be a joke or anything I know Taz and myself or nobody in aw ever intended that course it that way what was suggesting is it now officially Championship along with all the others it's not a recognized I mean it is a championship in a that we care about has a lineage that predates uh what we do here it's an important I think significant thing in wrestling and I don't want to speak for hook about the championship but even before Hook was an active wrestler it's been an important part of aw Hook's a really important part of what we do here now and you know I think it was important for him to get it back for his family Legacy uh and I you know please say your peace on it I have some thoughts but I I had to say that I'm sorry no yeah absolutely uh I don't know one little thing you might find interesting I was actually the person who flew the FTW title down to Jacksonville for vied um way before I was on screen or even working that was the first time I met Tony and uh yeah that was that's just a pretty cool little thing it was so good to see together yeah yeah exactly it was meant as a as a tribute it an homage and it's because I'm a big fan I grew up as a big fan of Taz of Hardcore wrestling I went to ECW when I was a kid and you know when we did Grand Slam in 2021 three years ago my father was here for the show tonight which was really cool my father was at the first Grand Slam and Hook was coming up and and getting uh you know becoming a bigger part of what we were doing in aw this was about a year after he had brought in the aw like FTW Championship to aw and I remember my dad walking up to hook and Taz in Arthur as stadium and saying to to hook man I got to tell you something your dad D is a tough guy cuz I took Tony to the ECW Arena when he was a kid and that is a war zone that is the most God off of place I ever went in my life and your dad's a tough guy to wrestle in that place I can tell you that and you know there was a lot of family moments on the show tonight and it was really cool because early in the show we we got to see the jarretts and the hearts and we saw the Von Erics and the roads and so many great families throughout the world wrestling here in UK we had the knights and we had so many great moments and then the Danielson family here but one of the real big moments certainly one of the biggest reactions and one of the favorite moments for me personally uh was seeing uh the Embrace and that great moment with Taz and how the crowd reacted to hook and Taz together uh and they're a great family and they're a big part of aw last question Jamal and I here first seconds out hook your rise with aw's been absolutely incredible given your age and winning against a legend like Chris jerich W the stadium no doubt career highlight do you have a targeted timeline in mind when you toome aw world champion because no doubt that's in your sight you're one of the future styles of the company for sure the soon the bed short
