Cam Akers,John Metchie,Xavier Hutchinson all 3 should be locks to make the Texans 53 man roster.

[Music] what a two htown what it do on today's show we will discuss the Houston Texans win their preseason finale against the Los Angeles Rams 177 to 15 to finish the preseason at 3 and one what's some respect on our name also we're going to discuss I have three players that are guaranteed locks on this Houston Texans roster and to make the 50 three man cut and last but not least can a players finished the preseason finale 17- 15 victory over the Los Angeles Rams and go three and one in the preseason but it is what it is it's just that it's the preseason and it's over but the bigger picture is who will make this 53 man roster they must go from a 90 man to a 53 man roster yeah I know they have guys that will probably be released and picked up back on the uh practice squad but we're trying to get the 53 who will be the 53 I'm not really sure and I'm not going to go through the whole roster I'm going to go through three guys that I think if they are not locks to make this roster the Ryan and everybody else on that coaching staff and Nic Caserio have made a huge mistake and they do not know how to evaluate ball players watch your M these guys are ball players and my number one guy is running back cam Acres the guy is 25 years old yes he had two ACL tears but with two ACL tears he looks 10 times more explosive than Damien Pierce damn this guy on multiple occasions different games different times different situations have been dead to right and reverse the field and turn a a a would what would be a negative game into a positive game uh he's running with power he's running with speed he's running with vision he's running with agility I mean he looks he looks almost as good as Joe Mixon my boy excuse me he almost look as good as Joe Mixon my boy so I'm telling you Cam acus should be a lock to be on this roster and it shouldn't be no Damian Pierce versus cam Acres if you got if they if the Texans do decide to keep Damen Pierce then maybe om om Goomba [Applause] W excuse me if I messed up your name uh obum if he's on if he should be the the odd man out if that's the case because Damien Pierce if if if they just so dead set on making this guy make the roster he was the least productive running back all preseason and the most productive running back was cam Acres uh Joe Mixon didn't grab a touch or didn't have a touch during the preseason but during the um during practices and then during the um the head-to-head with the Rams during practice uh he did very very well Joe Mixon is that guy he's a thousand yard guy every year he's proven we don't need to see Joe Mixon in the preseason but as far as cam Acres over Damian Pierce cam Acres should be the backup guy and he should be allowed to make this roster two more guys that I think should be allow to make this roster and at first I had him not making a roster the beginning of training camp the beginning of the pre season I had this guy hey we just going to have to cut our losses with a second round pick and let this guy walk and maybe he get picked up and maybe he do something good for them but John mey III has changed my mind he shut my mouth my mouth is zipped keep locked matching I'm sorry bro I'm I'm sorry mie mie has showed me he showed some explosiveness he showed some great hands he showed that he was the Mei from Alabama and he was the guy that Nick cerio traded up in the second round to go get he just need more opportunities to catch the rock to get the rock coming his way but CJ stra was not wrong about how explosive this guy Mei has looked this this year and I know I know it takes time to recover from cancer it takes time to recover from the torn ACL that he had at Alabama uh during the bowl game but now that this guy is fully healthy fully back third season know the Playbook is locked in and every time he's getting the opportunity he's making something with it but at the beginning I thought it was over I thought mie was a a casualty will I thought he would be cut but M's ball out and I'm loving it because I had high hopes for this guy plus he's a second round pick man you just don't want to let a second round pick go that had that much potential and then he just all of a sudden fell to bus territory but mie like I said M got my moth mouth locked up another guy Xavier Hutchinson Xavier catch anything anywhere Hutchinson should make this roster he's a capable wide receiver he's a big body he can run the reverse he can catch the ball he can play inside he can get in the slot he can do a lot this guy is just tough he's physical uh he plays special teams uh Hutchinson should make this roster and I did a video maybe uh maybe about five six days ago that I said that I wanted to go with upside over the veteran presence which I think these two guys should make this roster over Noah Brown who's always injured yeah he had two amazing games last season but no Brown cannot seem to stay um um healthy plus he might start off the season on the puup list again like so you know what I mean uh Robert Woods Robert Woods is a good veteran presence he talks to the guy a good guy to have in the room but he's a cap casualty as well his cap is high for the production that he's going to give you probably be like the sixth receiver at best uh so that guy should be let go um we should go with upside over the veteran presence so I believe the six guys should be Stefon Diggs should be tank Dale Nico Collins Xavier Hutchinson uh and John mie man those should be the guys that we run with as far as the six wide receiver spots unless they want to keep seven and bring maybe a no brown or Robert Woods but they can save a lot of cap by cutting Robert Woods um um as far as as brown is no brown man he's probably going to start off like I said on the pup list um but he same thing last year play had a couple amazing games and then he was down most of the Year up and down with back issues stuff like that so that's up in the air as well uh so the those are the three guys that I believe that should be locks like in today's game against the ram Xavier Hutchinson had um uh he had seven targets four catches for 34 yards 8.5 average long 18 uh John mie had um two Targets with two receptions 21 yards 10.5 average 12 was his long and cam acres in just today's game and not even a full game seven carries 53 yards 7.6 average long 2 three yards and he finished that long 23 yard run with some pop even the Rams player had to shake it up with him and congratulations like baby you made this team you made this squad if they don't pick you on this squad maybe sea McVey will come and get you baby come out to LA cuz you did your thing you feel me but those are the three guys that I believe should be locks to make this 53 man roster after watching them over the pre-season through training camp and in today's FNAF against the Rams those guys show that they have a bigger upside and more potential and they're still on young cheap contracts this is what I had to say man this this is the way I say it this is what I'm looking at can a player end up making this roster because of his likeability and because that he sells a lot of Jersey he's like kind of like a fan favorite people like the way he talks people like his country swag flag people like you know his personality his worth ethic he's a good person but can his like ability effect be the reason why he makes this 53 man roster even though he don't deserve to get the position and we talking about DP my boy Damien Pierce forgive me I don't know you but from what I seen your personality um a father being a father being a boyfriend a husband whatever dog you a good dude outside of football uh you had a hell of a rookie season um it it it it looked great for you things were looking up you had the Angry Run of the Year all that type of stuff but ever since de o Ryan and Bobby SLO has brought this Mike shanan system here you haven't been able to figure it out you haven't been able to make the right cuts the Right Moves the right nothing it's like you just running into a crowd of guys and crashing into a brick wall Bes instead of making a cut or a move or making someone miss or bouncing it back outside or reversing the field Damen Pierce hasn't done any of that he's had and Deo Ryan I know I know I know Deo Ryan is trying to protect him and said he hasn't had enough carries but why hasn't he have enough carries because you guys don't want to give him the carries so us guys the people who watching it the media the YouTubers the people who watch the games will not be able to see Damen Pier stank it up and drop a stank bomb so he can make this roster so he can make this 53 man roster without us actually seeing it but the few carries that he did have we can clearly see that he's not the guy to be the number two running back now maybe if you bring Pierce to be the third and you and you got Joe Mixon and cam number two and then Pierce number three and he plays some special teams and okay but Pierce is not the guy like ability should not be the reason that he makes this roster I know they got his jerseys all over NRG they has his jerseys in a lot of a lot of lot of different places but that shouldn't be the primary reason that this guy makes this roster and that's all I had to say and that's all I have to say about the preseason that's all I have to say about the 53 man roster as of today we'll see what happens by Tuesday but I'm loving with the Houston Texans look like as a whole I'm loving this coaching staff Deo Ryan has things in order this looks like a true NFL team this look like a team that can compete for a Super Bowl in a playoff spot so everything else is up from here but those are my um locks to make the 53 man roster also that's what I
