UFC Fight Night- Santos vs Ofili / Morales vs Magny/ Meerscharet vs Shahbazyan reaction/Breakdown

what's up guys welcome back UFC fight night kir versus Baro just going to go over the last three fights that just went down I'm going to go in reverse here and start with the one I just watched because it was the most impressive one and wow Marian Santos man uh what a way to get into the UFC officially and start his career man he looks really really sharp man he was very composed in there uh his his uh his straights were really precise and very deadly obviously and uh as you seen at the end there things got crazy at a wild exchange and Maran missed the right and they both went to connect at the same time and Marian's left connected first and put him to sleep man ailia went straight down was pretty much knocked out on his knees and Maran landed a couple more shots to the side of the temple what a performance man I'm definitely looking forward to seeing that guy again Maran Santos so not a name I expected to really hear much or hear about or see but I'm glad I saw now and I'm glad I'm here for it and yeah he's going to be a special fighter in that division so yeah hat all to him with a great win good knockout man vicious vicious knockout and it keeps the car going man the card's been pretty pretty solid this fight night I expected to be kind of poor and not too great and it's been the complete opposite man uh the finishes have been great even the ones that are not finishes the decisions have been pretty solid uh good ass card so far so uh yeah and also I'm going to go ahead and talk about um edman shabazian versus Gerald merart po Edmond shabazian and not even I used to feel bad for him because he he had such good standup back when he was a prospect a few years ago and they always gave him uh Grapplers it seemed like he had a fight streak of Grapplers like two or three in a row where he fought nothing with guys that just took him down and because the stand up was really good he's hard to stand with so they had to get guys that were going to take him down and destroy him and ruin his hype I guess I don't know but tonight though years later you would think he worked on some ground defense or some theit the Jitsu off his back or just any any thing but I guess not because as soon as J marot was able to get him to the ground he immediately locked up locked inside of an arm triangle jumped over and a few seconds later is done Edmond's tapping I mean hats off to Gerald I'm not taking nothing away from him not to discr Gerald merar he's a real deal he's not the greatest but he's a a solid gatekeeper for that Division and he's a vet for reason he's still there for a reason he's very deadly on the ground if he gets you on the ground and he has an established position he's going to immediately look for something whether it's an arm ball or your neck or the arm triangle or anything he's just going to look to tap you out that's his game Edmond should have never let him not only take him down but quickly passing the half guard and locking that arm triangle so quickly it was just amateur defense from edman shabazian I expected way more from him if it did go to the ground seemed like he didn't have much fight to offer I guess he was gas the fight didn't go that long he was on the verge of finishing jro marar I guess he over blew his gas tank and once jro got him down he kind of just knew it was over I don't know sad to see that happen like that just not the way I expected it to go uh yeah it was looking good in the first round for Redmond and until the ending so yep good fight for D merart once again gets another W and Edmond shabazian goodbye I guess he's gone now it's about end of him the end of him uh anyways next fight and the last fight I'm going to break down real quick and go over uh is Michael Morales versus Neil Magny and for a second thir man I thought noil Magny might have had something going I mean he he got his back pretty quick and was controlling him against the cage I think for a good two and a half minutes or so he had him an established position and he was trying to get him down but eventually Morales was able to fight the hands break loose and land a nasty elbow and Dro no Magny and it was pretty much all she rote from there about 30 seconds 40 seconds later after a handful of punches and Strikes and elbows Morales is able to get no Magny out of there and yeah no magne man he's fought the best of the best as far as like prospects and up and coming guys he fights pretty much any and everybody in a division you got to go through no magne seems like if you want to actually get some uh some clout in the division and get some uh Sparks in your name so a great win from Michael Morales I've been watching him since his debut he's a a very very talented fighter his striking is one of the best in the division top five top 10 for sure he he needs a top 10 fight in my opinion i' like to see him go against another great striker in the top 10 and uh yeah and get his name up there and established because he's definitely a championship material guy I think he just needs a bigger test now Magny is a good a good step up in competition and now he needs to take that next step and we'll see what happens from there no Magny though look man it's no Magny at the end of the day he fought like 20 plus fights now in the UFC so he's been around for a long time he's fought the the championship runs he's fought the the prospects now he's going through that little dump of prospects and Prospects and you win some you lose some when you pick those kind of fights and yeah I don't know I don't know if D is going to retire I think he still got some in the tank I mean he just not maybe doesn't have to fight guys like Michael Morales uh Michael was really slept on that dude's an animal man he's a freaking nature and his stand up is something else and as you saw that's why no magn immediately immediately went to grab him up because he wanted no part of the stand up and when Morales got that bit of Separation that one elbow all she wrote so yeah uh once again impressed with him I hope he gets back in there really soon he took no damage he just had some control time from no Magny that's all Magny did he didn't really do nothing to all other than that so hopefully we get Morales back in there by the end of the year in another top 10 to 12 fight hopefully uh and yeah
