Ohio State football at Maryland score predictions: Terrapins setting another trap?

okay let's make picks Ohio State is favored by 27 and a half against Maryland the total is 63 and a half of notes and it's a note enough that Ohio State put in its Game notes last seven games against Maryland Ohio State Point totals 52 49 62 62 52 73 and 66. so they have piled up points on these guys they have not played at Maryland since 2018 the game they almost lost the week before the Michigan game the 2020 game was canceled by kovid Maryland does have they're an interesting team they do have a run game Roman hemby is like a an interesting back it's kind of like kind of a big dude who's broken off some long runs this year they're I think it's an enough of a run game test the week before Michigan that's interesting and they have thrown it around I also think they're leaking they scored 10 and 0 the past two weeks and so I don't know where Maryland is right now but let's get to our picks Stephen means what is your prediction for Ohio State at Maryland I'm glad you brought up the previous scores because one of those previous scores is going to be my score for this game and it's from the 2016 season when they won 62-3 at Maryland and I think they're going to do that again today I think part of this is because Maryland has not proven they can stop Ohio State's offense in any year in any variation of that offense but also some of that is more a I think the defense has been playing very well and they need to continue to build momentum going into next week you brought up the fact that Maryland does have some semblance of a run game I think they need to shut that down in preparation for what they're gonna have to deal with seven days from Saturday but also I think offensively we know Marvin Harrison is really good and he's reliable at this point Emeka and Julian have trailed off a little bit and they could use a pick-me-up kind of stat game so I think you see some combination of all those things the offense clicking the offense doing what it does because I don't think the weather's going to be that bad it's supposed to be in the around the 40s but then also the defense kind of putting some more umph into things as they keep making their way towards that November 26th date so 62 to 3 you are going over the total of 63 and a half and you are giving the points with Ohio State rather convincingly Nathan Baird what's your pick so I have been all over the place on this and in fact I've already written my little brief that goes in our score picks but I've I'm changing the score that goes along with that because every time I think about this game I I widen what I think the spread is going to be and listen if this game had been played in early October I think it would have been a different game because Maryland at its Essence is not as bad as it has looked the past two weeks but since Toyota got hurt against Indiana and missed one game came back these two games against Wisconsin and Penn State have been atrocious he in these two games 46.7 completions 3.4 yards per tempt which is miserable and he's been sacked 12 times and neither of those teams are as good as Ohio state is so I'm gonna say 52 to 14. I I think this is a game that Maryland really could have done something interesting I don't think they could have beaten Ohio State I think they could have had this earlier on the season be kind of one of their on the radar moments to you know have it be a competitive game into the second half or something like that but you kind of have to go with what is actually happening in front of you right now and there's no reason to have confidence that Maryland has it together right now to be able to keep up with Ohio State so you're also giving the points and going over the total correct with that um I'm going to go under and I my score is 45 to 13. and I do think they have I think hemby and I think rockem Jared at receiver uh I've I've really like Dante Davis at his Peak and he got hurt last year and I just he hasn't been himself I think the whole year um I still think that even though they are leaking and they your offense has done nothing like their their team total yards the last two weeks is like they don't even get like I think one of the games didn't even get the 200 yards like it's remarkable I could see a version of like one good drive one big play like rise back up against Ohio State and I'm just picking a lower score for Ohio State because I think that Ohio State could be limited you know mid 40s by one of two things which is it's just a little tougher than you think because like this is Maryland's last chance and a good year to like really do something against a good team or Ohio state gets out in front and I think maybe they really call off the dogs because they want to make sure everybody's healthy for Michigan and I I just maybe could see like even if Ohio State's operating on all cylinders like it's it's 42 one drive into the third quarter and that's it and then the backups don't do much and they really throttle it back just to make sure nobody risks anything especially at running back depending right especially with Marvin I just I just wonder about that so I'm just going lower I'm still gonna take Ohio State minus the points but I'm going to go under the total so my score is 45 to 13 and those are our picks for Ohio State versus Maryland
