THROUGH MONDAY MORNING AT 5:00. >>> BEFORE ANY OF THAT WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE HEAT. FIRST ALERT METEOROLOGIST, BRITTANY RAINEY, JOINING US. WE ARE GETTING INTO THE WEEKEND FEELING OPPRESSIVELY HOT. >> LUCKILY, AS WE GET INTO SATURDAY, WE WILL START TO BE A LITTLE LESS HOT WITH THAT HIGH-PRESSURE STARTING TO SHIFT TO THE NORTH, BUT TODAY HAS BEEN OPPRESSIVELY HOT OUTSIDE. WE ARE STILL FEELING LIKE 111 AT DFW, FORT WORTH, EVEN DOWN TOWARD BURLISON, AND THAT'S WHY WE HAVE THIS EXCESSIVE HEAT MORNING FOR MOST OF NORTH TEXAS, INCLUDING THE METROPLEX UNTIL 9:00 THIS EVENING BECAUSE WE DO HAVE FEELS LIKE TEMPERS UP TO 115 DEGREES. YOU STILL WANT TO LIMIT YOUR TIME OUTDOORS, EVEN THIS EVENING. BY 6:00 P.M., WE ARE STILL AT 102 DEGREES. WE FINALLY DROP BELOW 100 BY 7:00. WE ARE STILL FEELING CLOSE TO 111 DEGREES, SO IT IS VERY HOT OUTSIDE. RIGHT THROUGH SUNSET, EVEN 10:00, 11:00, IT'S STILL GOING TO BE WARM AND MUGGY OUT THERE. FIRST ALERT SATELLITE AND RADAR ARE QUITE RIGHT AROUND DFW, BUT LOOKING DOWN TO THE SOUTHEAST, WE DO HAVE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS RIGHT ALONG I-45 AND OFF TO THE WEST. WE ARE SEEING A COUPLE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WEST OF THE BRECKENRIDGE AREA. ONCE WE LOSE THAT DAYTIME HEATING WITH THE SUN GOING DOWN, WE WILL SEE THAT CONVECTION COMING TO AN END, BUT WE COULD STILL GET AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM OVER TOWARDS BRECKENRIDGE, CLOSER TO 7:00 THIS EVENING. THERE MAY BE A FEW LUCKY PEOPLE THAT GET SOME RAIN DROPS OUT OF THAT BEFORE WE LOOK AT MORE SUNSHINE ON THE WAY FOR SATURDAY, BUT AS I MENTIONED, IT'S NOT GOING TO BE QUITE AS HOT AS TODAY BECAUSE OF HIGH-PRESSURE STARTING TO SHIFT AWAY FROM THE AREA. THAT MEANS WE ARE DROPPING DOWN TO A HEAT ADVISORY. WE WILL STILL HAVE FEELS LIKE IMAGES UP TO 107 DEGREES, AND THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE ALL OF NORTH TEXAS, MAINLY, EAST OF 35. YOU GUYS ARE NOT IN THAT HEAT ADVISORY, BUT YOU WILL STILL FEEL CLOSE TO 100 TO 103 IN THE AFTERNOON HOURS. HERE'S WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE TOMORROW MORNING WHEN YOU ARE WAKING UP, DFW FEELING LIKE THE LOWER 80s. THE REST OF US WILL FEEL LIKE THE UPPER 70s. BY NOON, MOST OF US WILL STILL BE UNDER THAT CENTURY MARK WITH FEELS LIKE TEMPERATURES. THAT WILL BE A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE FROM WHAT WE SAW TODAY, AND P KEATING AROUND 4:00. THE HIGHS WE ARE GOING TO FEEL, AROUND 105. SOME SPOTS GET UP TO 107, BUT THE REASON WE WILL BE SLIGHTLY COOLER FOR THE WEEKEND, THE HIGH-PRESSURE IS SHIFTING NORTH SO WE ARE NOT GOING TO BE SITTING RIGHT UNDER THE CENTER OF THAT HEAT DOME. AS IT CONTINUES TO HEAD OUT OF THE WAY ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY, THAT OPENS IT UP FOR AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE TO MOVE INTO SOUTH TEXAS. THIS COULD BRING US AN ISOLATED SHOWER AS WE HEAD INTO TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY. IT'S NOT GOING TO BE A GOOD SOAKING RAIN OR VERY WIDESPREAD, BUT WE DO HAVE A 20% RAIN CHANCE IN THERE.
