welcome back in y'all to the Nebraska Dynasty we are here at the Big 10 Championship taking on number one undefeated Oregon we finished the regular season at 10-2 God could you imagine if Nebraska finished 10-2 in real life oh my God that would be incredible but that's anyway um back to uh obviously what's going on here so there's really no there's no recruiting or anything we got to get into because there's no recruiting there's no recruiting during the championship the conference Championship week so literally I just want to touch on how we got here and then we'll play the game but we defeated UTEP Week 1 44 to 21 we took a disappointing loss to Colorado week 2 3813 we just couldn't keep up with their speed they finished five and seven they didn't make a bll game wow I'm surprising normally colado does pretty good in year B sh Sanders and Travis Hunter and C but guess five and seven FCS Northwest we squeaked by 21-9 yikes Illinois beat by a field goal 24 to 21 our first kind of bigger win that was against a good team a better team I mean they're five seven but Power four school was Purdue we won 45-28 Ruckers we beat by 9 16 to7 went into Indiana won 31 to20 Indiana 1 75 good for them we lost at Ohio State who should is probably so upset they're not playing in this um Big 10 championship game they finished 10 and two so did we but we only had one loss in conference they had two that's why we got into the Big 10 championship game UCLA would beat 24 to6 at home win in the USC won 3123 they W 16 and6 beat Wisconsin at home 31- 13 they went six and six everyone in the freaking big 10's going like 500 uh Iowa that was the last game we just played we won 7 to six and hawkey finished at 75 and now we're here taking on Oregon I don't have a good feeling about this whatsoever it's going to probably be like that Ohio State game where I just feel completely outclassed but at least it's in a neutral site in Indianapolis so let's go ahead and get into this and hey if we win if we win this game we're going to make the we're we're 100% in the college football playoff if we lose we still have a chance to make it cuz with number three team right now actually hold on before we do that let's not jump the gun here let's look at the colge fo playoff bracket let's get an idea if we lose today because obviously we all know if we win we're in if we lose can we still make it with the six right now so you would think technically we should get in over Michigan Right Michigan's a we should technically get in if Michigan gets in there's no reason we shouldn't get in we're the big tent we're going to Bean in the Big 10 championship game um I understand Ohio State being over us if we lose because they're going to have still 10 and two but big 10 championship game we should get in over Michigan we should get over Penn State I think we should I think we I mean based on looking at that we still should have a good chance to get in no matter if we lose today but well let's go ahead and let's try to somehow find a way to stick with Oregon all right Indianapolis Indiana number one undefeated Oregon number three 10 and two Nebraska hey at the end of the day barring how this game goes oh God the duck um we should just be happy we made it here I did not expect to make the big 10 championship game in year one but we're here we have a freshman quarterback we do have a very old defense and a very old offensive line so we're going to have to figure I defense we're going to have to move some parts around next year offensive line we're going to have to figure out what makes sense versus o line and everything but that's a question for the offseason let's go ahead and let's do our part today her's fired up I think the key here today is just going to be maybe trying shorten the game a little bit and just trying to stay in it we are going to get the ball here first with Jaylen Lloyd maybe we can just have a kick return h no but I'm thinking about chewing clock and I think I'm going to try it I've had success in the past chewing clock when I play teams I know I'm just completely out of class with just because I know we have a better chance of staying in it so I am going to go ahead and Sh clock I'm going to do it people might not like it but I don't care I'm trying to win the football game and keep it close so first play of the day we're going to go and give it to EMT Johnson he's going to get to the outside there freaking room nice that way I mean they got through the the interior defense line got through there quickly fortunately em Johns able to just run around them pick up a nine here this is one this is one of my favorite plays in The Playbook is this power out to doal I just wish you could flip it because I feel like we can always pick up a good chunk with it um but if I could flip the run I always try to flip the run to the left side cuz they don't power the left side as much when we when it's set up on the right side but it doesn't let you flip that run for some reason back to em we're cutting it back finding that little bit of a hole it's a a pick up with three second and seven and I guess we're going to go jet touch pass hopefully it's the it's the banks we're going to flip it I know it's not the wide side of the field but I want to get it to Malachi I want to get the speed if we're going to do the jet touch Pat Gabriel Jordan James TZ Johnson Evan Stewart they got speed for days and we just got to try our best to elimin them as much as we can manto man is scary if I go to our matchups here yeah we're kind of we're red basic on every match up other than Tommy Hill we're like even but yeah it's going to be scary Tommy as I say that Tommy gets turned around and there is Mr um I think it was TZ Johnson right is what it is we you know we did a good job recovering there and now here comes the fun part is when Oregon runs hurry up every play and that's not fun it's not fun second and seven it's going to be give to James and he's going to pick up the first down and break off a tackle we probably would had him right at the line but he's getting all the way up to the 34 first and 10 and yep here we go obvious passing down I think running is going to be our best bet right now I mean they really only got really five in the Box here it just comes down can our offensive line win one win these like one-on ons I mean we kind of double team the right guy there which pick up for it's turn four slip screen man it's kind of killed me but I just love the play call I love the slip screen play call like quarterback although it was more it was all about a running game today didn't really get much of a celebration but it is what it is take a look at the stats and then we'll move on to the playoff obviously we won't be playing that in the video but Ra was only 10 to 14 12 128 one touchdown one pick we did not throw the ball with him we ran the ball heavy Emmit at 12 for 77 6.4 per carry Dowell 9 for 59 6.5 per carry and a touchdown ramir five for 14 he had a couple decent moments there Rola obviously got sacked a few times neor had one on the ground for five receiving and at five for 37 Malachi two for 13 rir two for 47 and a touchdown it was on the jet touch pass or was touchdown I forgot and Jamal Banks to the one catch for 31 defensively tackles gford at seven six for rright five for princewell five for Tommy five for Pap he had an incredible game I mean tfls RVP Three Dog princial umon Three Dog two for Bullock two for lenhardt one for Swan Thompson one for J rght one for Tommy Hill and one for Ty Robinson sack numbers one and a half for lenhardt one and a half for Van poble one for uman me look at the young cats I guess vble is a sophomore in this I don't know if he was red sh freshman no he might have played more than four games he might be a true sophomore but I'm not 100% sure uh one but yeah look at the young cats three sophomores there it is your Nebraska going up we'll have a chance at five stars and everything but let's go ahead and before we advance the week we will take a look at um well we're going to upgrade our coach and then we're going to look at all- Americans see if we get any all Americans here I'm just going to Ste stick on recruiter for now um let's go ahead and do increase week hours for running backs increase weekly increase increase weekly hours for wide receivers tight ends do the same here for linebackers and then I think I guess we'll just do the same for quarterbacks as well we got to figure out what life is after Dylan even though we got that we got prce coming in which will be nice but all right coaching ability upgrades are done take a look at all Americans here let's see if we get any any first team all-americans nope any second team all-americans nope any freshman all-americans nope all right cool Big 10 you mean d w Big 10 all freshman that's cool that's at least positive that's good that's one we want to see we had no First Team all big 10 we had no second team all big 10 and we were the best team in the conference technically Dylan Rola went obviously fresh all big 10 freshman and that was it our only guy who made any All-American team was our quarterback and he made all big 10 freshman nobody else and we won the conference makes complete sense I get it though I mean our stats weren't crazy but the thing obviously I know you guys know this too because I'm sure people watching this play college football the award winners don't mean don't mean they're an All-American like Tommy Hill won Defensive Player of the Year still wasn't any All-American it doesn't make any sense something they need to fix um I'm obviously not going to fire any of my coordinators we're good there all right let's go ahead and Advance this next week see if we're going to be taking on two lane or Michigan two lane two lane two lane two lane there's no chance it's going to be Michigan we all know it's Michigan um to do before we head out of this episode is um let's go ahead and take a look at the season stats I know it's going to count the playoff stats as well but I want to get an idea of where we're we're at going into the playoffs so Dylan Rola freshman season 2,847 yards 21 touchdowns 11 picks um I was relatively conservative with this year a lot of the picks were my fault we didn't really push the ball down field much I mean we had some certain in but not a ton I mean only 219 yards per game but 70% completion percentage of something you'll ABS I mean that's an that's an elite number for a freshman that's just what you get for playing safe running backs EMT Johnson 176 884 and eight scores Good Year from him averaging five per carry Dowell 7378 five scores 5.3 per carry he really started coming on toward the end of the year seemed like we were run the ball with him more and he had a really good season for us and he's only sophomore EMT 128 on 32 carries four yards per carry one touchdown obviously Rola he's getting sacked and Sack losing yards on sacks counts in um college football towards your um rushing yards U Malachi Coleman Lon receiving 42 carries 42 42 catches 6018 touchdowns Isaiah a 2742 24 and five ramir 33 catches 49 and2 fedon 25 359 and 1 it's a good year for fedon because he missed like the first six games when he got hurt week one so good year for Thomas 16 catches for lyd 345 and three scores em had 279 Banks had 208 two touchdowns yeah kind of unfortunate for Jamal Banks J his one year here in Nebraska we just didn't really push the ball down field we didn't throw the ball a ton but obviously that's not going to be in real in real life he's going to ball out I'm I'm a Believer defensively Jam right Les and tackles who was my user 79 tackles 68 for heart soog 68 for Gord 67 for Beford 66 for Singleton or DBS man DBS that 335 I mean that happens when you got five DBS on the field tfl 16 for John Bullock great year for him 13 for jabin WS 13 for princewell 10 for RVP and Sack numbers you get four and a half for lenhardt four for bolock three and a half for princewell three and a half for RVP two and a half for Tai two for Nash half sack for Singleton interceptions Tomo had four blly had three two for jabin rght two for Malcolm hsog princewell Singleton and Buford all had one alvano was 13 to 14 only missed one kick could you imagine real life if alvano was 13 to 14 only miss one k kick that'd be incredible no no way though machini had about 39 yards per Punt and then yeah jayen Lloyd returned three kickoffs for touchdown and he had the one pump return in the Big 10 championship game when it mattered the most but yeah that's going to do it for today's episode guys the next episode is going to be the college football playoff and I
