PLAYOFFS for the Packers Again?!? - 2024 Green Bay Packers Schedule Prediction and Season Preview

Intro if you guys have not guessed yet uh I am a Packers fan cats out of the bag and today we'll be breaking down my favorite team the Green Bay Packers their 2024 season and what it will look like going through what's changed from 2023 until now going through the three biggest stats that I found in my offseason research to try and tell me the future of what this team can be and then finally going through the schedule game by game week by week what's a win what's a loss and what's the final record for this Packers Squad we did Detroit yesterday we've done the NFC Eastern the rest of the AFC already they're all on my page so give me a like give me a subscribe help this channel grow if I do appreciate it but today we're talking about my team a team that I been a fan of all of my life from when I was 5 years old until now the highs the lows the many lovely quarterbacks that we've had and what can we talk about for Jordan love this year the highest paid quarterback in the NFL worth the money God only knows but what can happen this year to prove the success of this Packers Squad let's get into it what has Offseason Changes changed from 2023 until now first off thank God we got rid of Joe Barry we'll talk about the defense in a second but out of all the players that have left in free agency and there were a lot that were kind of known to be leaving in free agency good luck Giants with that John ran contract there wasn't really a player that stood out to me and said dang we lost out on that one except of course Aaron Jones Aaron Jones and Devonte Adams were my two favorite Green Bay Packer players for the past five six years and Aaron Jones what he did last year was amazing especially considering he helped my fantasy team win a championship do it his a late season comeback and losing Aaron Jones the way we lost him listen you can say Devonte went to the Raiders he wanted to go play with his college teammate he wanted to go live in Las Vegas closer to his family he deserves what he gets in the in the with the Raiders I disagree but you can make that statement what Green Bay however did to Aaron Jones was a completely different story again running backs get no respect in this league and Aaron Jones is an older running back who is often injured on this team never really played a Full Slate of games but when he was out there he was an absolute star and when Green Bay this offseason said hey man we want you to take less money on this contract want to restructure this deal Aaron Jones said no so Green Bay signed Josh Jacobs and cut him there was a day there was about three hours in that day where I thought we were going to have both Josh Jacobs and Aaron Jones on this team in 202 for and my eyes lit up but shortly that was dashed and Aaron Jones was let go and he now plays for the Vikings that one hurt that one hurt a lot that was the biggest free agency loss in a while for me that I did not see coming and really felt it deep because we just signed AJ Dylan in his stad to be the backup running back welcome back AJ Dylan listen I know I'm not exactly the most athletic individual right now but I'm pretty confident I could gain the same amount of yards per carry that AJ Dylan gets in the NFL but hey Josh Jacob is the future not Aaron Jones speaking of future the biggest signing we got was Xavier mckenny a guy from the Giants of safety that is as hard-hitting as they come and also great uh on the back end playing free range center field type player I think that was a huge signing for this team very excited to see it come to fruition on this roster but there was so many problems with the front seven and the way it was called last year that getting a safety for that much money isn't exactly going to solve those problems halfly has a lot to do as a defensive coordinator to solve what GRE the issues Green Bay had but the biggest stuff the biggest thing I'm most excited about for change is this draft class that we are bringing in looking at it on the screen with me right now these first six players all those players that we got in the first four rounds all of them could have really big snaps and big plays and big minutes with this team this season especially Jordan Morgan at tackle he's going to be hopefully part of this starting unit right away on the offensive line a very young offensive line that could really gel well together they did last year the problem with this draft class is every single one of these guys almost has been injured at some point during camp we still haven't seen the linebacker we took Cooper uh Bullard has been playing great in safety but all the players behind him seemingly picking up hamstring and hip injuries and calf injuries and shoulder injuries and have missed time here and there that's going to hurt the week one roster but this draft class alog together has the chance to be something special and I'm very excited to see them play let's go to the Three Biggest Stats three biggest stats because this team took as abrupt a turn as a team can take during a season last year the first eight weeks and the last eight weeks were vastly different two different Green Bay Packer teams and the way they turned it on at the end and figured things out was remarkable and a spectacular ride however in 2024 what Jackal and Hyde team are we going to get this year are we going to get the team of the last eight weeks of the Season or we got to get the team that just let stuff go in the first eight weeks of the Season let let me tell you what I think is going to happen because the first stat has to do with this coaching staff and it is one that I have the utmost confidence in listen I don't know what the defensive coordinator is going to do to this team you can listen to people smarter than me on how his scheme in Boston College and how he had lesser players at BC and how he did even better with those players and how it's going to transition to the NFL I I'm going to wait and see it type guy when it comes to the defensive side of the ball offensively though with Matt laflor I think he truly is one of the best Minds in the entire NFL and that's because he listens to himself and knows when he is screwing up because last year there were things that they weren't doing well well the first few weeks of the season and the change that happened yes you have to tip your cap to Jordan love obviously but a lot of that change came from what lafl was trying to do as well especially trying to get more explosive plays early for this team last year altoe they were the number one team in the NFL in points during the third quarter that's a win that's a halftime adjustment that's me knowing what you're doing and figuring out a way to fix it right away that is an unbelievable stat and should continue because Matt laflor is still the head coach of this team two more things that should continue that second half of the season when they figured things out and changed the philosophy of this team they were fifth in points per drive and third in yards per drive that's going to continue this offense should still sing because the floor is behind it the second stat has to do with Josh Jacobs and bringing this guy in listen he led the league and rushing two years ago obviously an excellent running back in a great age to get a running back and a great contract mind you it's not the four-year deal that people are projecting if you look at the deal and the inner workings of it it's really a bunch of one-year deals strung together that Green Bay does not have a bunch of dead cap if they decide this not working out between the two of us we're going to have to let you go Josh Jacobs though could be excellent on this team if he is a bcow running back laflor does not like to use bcow running backs but that's beside the point Jacobs though cannot be the Josh Jacobs of last year because if we get the Josh Jacobs of last year on this team instead of what Aaron Jones gave us even in the the limited time Aaron Jones was here that is a huge step back from what this team can be why because on that Raiders team a team that's stunk a team that that's offensive line stunk but let's look at what Jacobs did out of 49 running backs who had 100 or more rushes last season Josh Jacobs was 48th in 10 plus yard rushes he was 46th in yard after contact and his 3.9% explosive run rate was by far the lowest in his career now I'm not saying those numbers are Josh Jacobs I'm saying if he goes anywhere close to those numbers that was a bad move by this organization and it's terrifying to me because I want Josh Jacobs to succeed he's supposed to be doing great in Camp he's supposed to be unlocking this offense a real dude as everyone's calling him those numbers are scary they really there's no getting around it those numbers are scary if you wonder the names around them it was Damen Pierce Kareem hunt that's the production level that Josh Jacobs was giving you last year you don't pay Kareem hunt that much money in today's day and age so I'm a little bit nervous about Josh Jacobs and I hope I'm wrong the thing I know I'm not wrong about and this is the worst outat of all for Packers fans out there and it's that ugly word regression listen do I think Jordan love is going to regress no I actually think Jordan love is what he was I think Jordan love is special I do I think Jordan love is special but this team got lucky at points last year and I do believe that's going to change for instance last year during the second half of the Season Green Bay defenses didn't know what to do with Green Bay so they tried blitzing a Young quarterback we were the most blitzed team in the league at the end of last year 41% of the time a team was sending an extra Defender at you love to try and make him make a mistake and he didn't make a mistake so I don't believe going to get blitzed that much anymore this coming year because of looking at what teams did last year they'll try to adjust and fix some things however what I notice in week one of this Green Bay tenure Jordan love versus the Chicago Bears kind of told me a tale of what this uh year was going to be and the numbers back it up because in week one last year Jordan love beat the Green Bay Packers he looked great doing so Justin Fields was on the way out it was awesome to want to see but Jordan love converted so many third and Longs in that game third and seven third and8 third and 12 that it was unsustainable for the rest of the season okay and when we weren't playing teams as bad as the Chicago beers and we got into those third and long situations again obviously it didn't work out as well as it did against Chicago now again we fixed things halfway through the season we became a whole new team I I remember all that but for the bulk of the season in goal to go situations first and goal second and goal third and goal we scored a touchdown 95% of the time that was the best in the NFL since the year 2000 that's right the old Coral Brian sketch the year 2000 that we were the best in the world ever at doing it goal to go we got in the end zone seven points not three not zero that's impossible and not going to happen again so there are little things on the fringes that point towards this team regressing just a little bit and this was barely a playoff team last year so if they improve defensively if they improve the running game the passing game if all these young players take a step to the next level and Matt lafl continues to build it could be awesome but if there's any sophomore slums along the way this regression monster on this team is really going to hurt so Schedule Breakdown regression and statistics aside let's break down this schedule how many games does this Packers Squad win and lose their win total right now is 9 and a half they go 10 and seven or better they hit the over they go 9 and eight or worse they hit the under and this schedule is interesting this we're going to go through it week by week but I'm really going to break it into quarters because I think each quarter Tells A Tale of what this Green Bay Packer team can be and we're starting off in Brazil I don't know I don't know why excited to see it on Friday like I'm excited we have a Prime Time game on Friday but hey we're in Brazil and we're playing Philadelphia I think Philadelphia is the better team excited to watch this game even without like a home field a neutral sight type thing but I think Philadelphia is the better team they get a win and then three cupcakes I'm sorry but these three teams right here are cupcakes for the Green Bay schedule if they are any worse than three and one right now something has gone drastically wrong and then it's on the road versus Los Angeles Rams a game that everyone should be excited for because these two offenses I believe will be humming at this point it's a game I'm hopefully going to attend because I do live in Los Angeles that game will be 80% Packers fans in Sofi it's going to be a blast I do think the Rams pull this one out though because it's a Rams team that I really like this year it's an offense that I really think is going to do very very very well and going to be a huge test for a very young defensive Squad in Green Bay this should be very high scoring I think Green bay loses and with 3 and2 these next four games are as Topsy Turvy as can be because you tell me what Arizona is going to be this year I don't believe they're going to be anything I think that's a win for Green Bay Houston as well I'm not as huge on Houston as other people are I think in Lambo that should be another win for Green Bay and then Jacksonville who knows the good news for Green Bay here Jacksonville is coming off of a road Prime Time game so they should have some uh trouble on this short week for them that should be another win for Green Bay and then Detroit in Lambo I'm giving Green Bay four straight wins here and if they're not four straight wins this is going to be a tough finish to the season because the rest of this schedule gets difficult these four teams four games right here if Green Bay can run through them and really start the train a moving here it's going to be a special season for Packers coming out of the buy it's 7-2 and it's those lovely Chicago Bears the ugly bears however with the 7-Day rest advantage of that bye I think Green Bay comes out on top here before losing at Lambo against the San Francisco 49ers why because they're the 49ers man and we always lose to the 49ers however quick turnaround here with Miami coming to us for Thursday Night Football I am in no way shape or form scared of the Miami Dolphins this year their video is already up on my page and I'm very low on them I understand the offense is still going to be the offense that defense is horrendous and I think Green Bay wins this especially at home before giving the win back to those Detroit Lions with split in that season series N9 and four with four games remaining I said that exact same thing in my Detroit Lion schedule breakdown yesterday because they also I have at 9 and four with four games remaining the question is Detroit wins out Detroit goes from 9 and four to 13-4 in my projections with these four games do the Packers go from 9 and4 to 13 forign challenge for that divisional title I don't believe they do I think they win these first two games but once we head to divisional opponents I understand Minnesota is less than this year however the way this is setting up we have a Prime Time game and then have to head on the road short week to Minnesota I think they surprise us and win that game and then Chicago I believe we at this point are going to be safely in the playoffs and we might take this time to rest some players and Chicago on the other hand will do their video tomorrow they're going to be fighting for a playoff birth at this point I think Chicago wins this game and we go from 9 and4 to 11- six good but not great hitting this over but not exactly crushing it I'm taking an 11 and six Packers Squad to the house though and Best Bet for 2024 Green Bay Packers lastly my best bet for the season you can take the Green Bay Packers over wind total I'm fine with that but I do want to divy change these up diversify my assets so to speak here so I'm looking at Josh Jacobs again we talked about how he had a really off year last year still put up great numbers but it's because he got the bulk the volume of the car that is not something that this Green Bay offense usually does with AJ Dylan sadly and with our with our rookie Marshon Lloyd we usually Matt lefl at least usually has a committee approach when it comes to running the ball here so I don't think Josh Jacobs is going to have as many opportunities as he had in those Vegas days and his number right now on the sports books is to go uh 925 rushing yards over or under that number for the season I want Josh Jacobs to hit this over I don't think he does just because I don't think the opportunities are there in this offense so I'm taking the under here at minus 112 I don't think Jacobs gets there but that is it for the Green Bay Packers breakdown I I think we're a playoff team I don't think the NFC is that strong but I do think we're a playoff team what we do in the playoffs has to do with how much does this offense and team overall grow and improve there are young players drafted players a core that everyone should be really excited about but when do they take that step from good to Great from great to Elite and can Jordan love stay on the stratosphere this Plateau that he has found himself on as the highest paid player in the league is he worth that money again God only knows but if he plays at the level he played at last year this team will win Super Bowls maybe not this year but will in his career and I need we need to see if he can do it again if he can show it again if he can do it again then I will be the happiest man on planet Earth but was that a one-year Wonder an eight game wonder even we don't know we're going to find out but tomorrow we're diving into another one year Wonder of a team the rookie Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bear bears and I cannot wait
