Princess Catherine's Cancer Update, Prince William in Wales, Norway's Royals Summer of Scandal

hello everyone and welcome to the crown report the inaugural LIVE edition of the crown report my name is Britney and this is just a really exciting program to go over kind of all the Royal news that we don't really get to see throughout the week because obviously there's a lot of focus on Harry and Megan in many ways but there's so much going on with the other royal families obviously today we'll start off with Katherine and her news and a little bit about William's visit to Wales and then we have some really really startling like information coming out of Norway regarding the strength of the monarchy because of course we had the very controversial marriage of Princess Martha Lise and her Shaman guy D verk and then we also have the arrest of the crown princess's son and that situation sort of continues to devolve I was even looking for more information today and there's a picture of him with a guy who's associated with a terrorist so like all sorts of things going on in Norway and the popularity of the Norwegian monarchy has taken a real hit from it in fact dropping 10 points in the polls since May that's a huge huge drop and so there's just so much going on I think this is so exciting and I just can't wait again to talk about what's going on in the rest of the royal verse and if you guys are familiar with our Saturday morning live streams usually I do sort of popcorn questions and everything but this time it'll just be simply mostly me talking about these various stories and at the end we'll go over some questions but of course you guys are free to discuss things in the comments and everything because that is obviously so exciting and of course we got to stuff start off with and I didn't cue this for some reason but the amazing video of obviously Katherine as she announces her return after cancer and so this is just again so amazing that they decided to do this I don't think anybody was totally expecting them to share such a personal video but it's also garnered some backlash but I think it's again great to share like what this video is because this video is so amazing and I think such a great message to share because obviously we have Katherine here we'll just listen to a little bit a it I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment the last 9 months have been incredibly tough for us as a family life as you know it can change in an instant and we've had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and Road unknown all right I think again that's so amazing and I love How It Ends you know she talks about the challenges and then they end on this really hopeful note and I hopefully I'll get about there here to all those who continued their own cancer journey I remain with you side by side hand in hand out of Darkness can come light so let that light shine bright all right guys again I think the video is is perfect I think it's so great it shows such a great side I think this more personal side of Katherine and William that we don't normally get to see I shared some of this in the video yesterday but of course you do have to have those Debbie downers and I've got to say that there are a thousand dislikes to this video I just want to go who are those people who are the people who are disliking it but we do have Liz Jones here from The Daily Mail who maybe is gonna share why well she shares why sometimes she fears dislikes this because the video is moving but something feels off and there was something in here that I just thought was I really wanted to point out I thought was incredibly important you know she talks about how it's too choreographed and everything and I understand that and there's been some comparisons between what her majesty and Prince Philip did at one point sharing an insight into the Royals but I don't think that's really what's going on here I think it's just a way to really share the how the process of cancer kind of how things are challenging but then you come into this new era and there's one thing in here and I'm just going to scroll down for a little bit that I just like I don't know why but took real offense with because you know what not everybody raises their kids the same so she says here if that documentary following a year in the life of the Monarch was accused of ruining the Royal Mystique by making them seem like any other Modern Family this new video was attempting to do the opposite to portray the Wales is as hyperreal perfect retro like something out of an end blighton novel but why on Earth a real portrayal would show the kids on their phones surely Katherine will look tired and pensive but not the perfect conquered colored hair I take real offense with this it is entirely possible to raise your kids have them being outdoors and not be on their phones I kind of hate this this thing that of of course you know kids young kids of course they're on their phones like why wouldn't they be on their phones and I'm like because she raises her kids well like she raises her kids well like why they don't have to be on their phones they're still pretty young and you know you can raise your children have them be outdoors have them having fun without saying oh you know they're just on their phones all the time and I'm like no that's just crazy to me and I just found that really offensive for Katherine and William because I think they're raising their kids really well and in fact I think they spend a lot of time Outdoors they naturally do and so this notion here that they're not doing that I think is just incredibly odd Liz goes on to say she says it has been incredibly tough but the problem the trouble is it all looks like a photogenic walk in the park only Williams seems almost real reclined on various blankets or on the sand he is awkward as if plac there limbs carefully arranged like a marionette It also says Catherine towards the end of her voiceover also strange making the video seem like a wildlife documentary speaks of walking side by side hand inand with other cancer sufferers but in the short film she has never seemed more detached it doesn't help that her words are backed by the soundtrack of a slow emotional piano now I will say as well we don't know if Katherine might actually have friends in various cancer WS she might actually be working with people within those cancer WS you know building relationships it's entirely possible that that is what's happening and we just don't see it and that again is perfectly fine it's perfectly fine and I don't think the video disrupts the Mystique of the monarchy because they're not perfect I think Katherine and William and their family would be the first to say that but they've managed to create this wonderful life for themselves and they are allowing us to come in so I don't we're not really seeing them doing barbecue and other things like the royal family did in their initial video but what this is is sort of an intimate sneak peek into their lives but it's also somewhat detached so you kind of get that Mystique of the monarchy without sort of getting into like sibling squabbles or whatever but you see how close the family is you see these interactions and these interactions seem very natural it's hard to get children to act act well and so these kids aren't acting these kids this is what they genuinely do with their family their parents and everything and so I think it's totally amazing and I what I find and we'll say is so different about what Harry and Megan did with Netflix is that the Netflix thing was a self-serving promotional vehicle to make money for themselves Katherine and William there their desire for this is so different what they want to do is they want to give people a look and show people that she's doing well but things aren't over we have been told a couple of things just so in case you're not aware if you haven't heard heard this is that Richard Palmer and Chris chip they both have said that the palace was pretty clear with them even though Katherine says she she's striving to remain cancer free but she's not technically cancer free nor in remission is what they have said and so she is still within this process we don't know exactly what that means in terms of her you could say cancer recovery and everything but she still definitely is in the midst of this and I've made this opposition I think still true that she is whatever this was you know you have a very invasive surgery to start off with a very major invasive surgery then you have chemo and so she is going through this long process of healing and it is going to take time and her job is so different than the rest of us because she's so public facing and so to you know say oh she needs to be back right away no her job is totally different she's probably doing things at home but I want to put up here there was a somebody I may have to look at it on my phone so I didn't do this quite as good as I wanted to but I loved how a somebody on my Twitter shared that and it was kind of you could say a very sad realization but that this might be a way for the Wales to really kind of like Katherine might be in a more serious situation than we know and so this is more of a family way too of sharing sort of that reality let me see if I can pull it up here real quick but I may have lost it but it was just such a great example of like we don't oh here it is so this is from Helen M she says we have spent a summer in nature making family memories this is what the video said to her I do not know how many or if we have more Summers together the love of my family and mine for them is immeasurable it has been a happy summer as one could possibly have under the circumstances do not weep for me do not lie about my love for William or his for me and I thought that was really amazing I thought that was a great sum summarization because if it is more serious so far I think it's great that we have been told that she is she is recovering she is going through all this and so it's a way sort of for them to share some of that maybe somewhat of that grief process and I do think like I see Chris says right here I love this that people and family they they need hope and I think that's what the video does offer very well is hope for this situation and I think if anybody's going through cancer they probably would love to have a video like that to sort of commemorate because there's joy there's family time and again I think the the image of the family sitting around the table playing games you get to see I think that is what they do they play games with the kids I think they are very very engaged parents but we said that I think they are highly engaged parents and so when it comes to the kids Katherine and William are their parents yes they have a nanny yes they have help but there's nobody else disciplining those children but Katherine and William so I think that is it's just a shame that somebody decides to sort of rain on what was otherwise I think a Pitch Perfect video in many ways and I look forward to seeing Katherine again and I know she's going to be coming out soon I know it's going to be for probably probably remember in Sunday if we get something in between there that would be fabulous obviously we did get the announcement today that King Charles and queen Camila are on their way or not on their way they will be going to Australia and Samoa later in October so that is very exciting but we don't know when we'll see Katherine again but we did see William and so he headed out to Wales today and which is so so lovely because they definitely being in Wales I think has been a huge part of what they've wanted to do but it's been sort of a challenge too this year because obviously as well they have everything's been so disrupted that they can't do the normal things that they would do but there was a lot of love for William there especially which I think is just so amazing this is from Kate mansy and it's just a video of the huge crowds there to greet William just so many crowds so many people excited let's see if we can hear a little [Music] bit very very much a lot of excitement there for William as he was in Wales of course he is the Prince of Wales and I think they haven't gotten to Wales quite as much because of C Catherine's answer situation and so I did want to give a shout out here real quick for John massud who gave it to Britney the Frank the Wonder vagle says Hi to Miss Pippa well thank you John I really do appreciate it so yeah she is doing well hanging out somewhere around there so yes so he was in I should pronounce it but honestly I tend to butcher these things so we won't pronounce it but a lovely city there in Wales I believe he also went to a football stadium we also got him at a school and so that was really fun and we got a little bit of a video from Kensington Palace here and a little bit of it in Welsh CH es [Music] [Applause] [Music] Val very cool I have never really heard Welsh I think it's amazing that they still have can retained their language I think that's awesome because you know smaller languages I learned a lot about Gaelic when we were in Scotland and how it's been sort of a lost language that has been revived so very nice to see [Music] [Applause] [Music] you oh so much love for William there and there was a recent ugv poll and I didn't pull it up in time but basically showing that the royal family is when it comes to their popularity it's really Katherine and William switching off spots William currently has the top spot right now he was just so incredibly popular and I think this visit to whales does show it people love William and I think especially again the insight into his and Katherine's relationship I think it's amazing so uh we don't really on this live stream won't really bring up Harry Megan but I think this is an important comparison to make is that Hari and Megan overdo the public displays of affection so much that when they do it or they're really demonstrative it comes across as just a little fake it just doesn't have as much of an impact because we see it all the time what I think is lovely about this relationship with Katherine and William is that we didn't see we haven't really ever seen them be that affectionate with each other but I think that 100% does exist but Katherine and William I think have embraced the idea which is so critical a lot of other Royals do share it some are a little bit more touchy feeling than others but when it comes to Royals overall you will notice a lot of the couples they tend to leave the public displays of affection at home now there's some instances where it's it's a big event or something a big milestone and so people do make adjustments but Katherine William have always adopted the belief and I think very very appropriate direction that when it comes to PDA that is something to be left at home because that is private when it you are in public you are working and that was a distinction Harry and Megan could never make they always treated every Royal Engagement as if it was a date Katherine and William I think very much free to every Ro engagement as if it was a job which is how it should be done so I think again that insight into it I think is just so incredibly amazing and it's so good to see especially if something really bad does happen we have this gorgeous video to look back on and Katherine to share what some of the experience was like and I look forward to hearing more from her about it because I know we'll hear more but it's just going to take a little while and that is perfectly perfectly fine so guys we will go ahead and leave Katherine and William there and we'll move on to our next topic of discussion which is Norway oh we do have a little English translation here so this this is from a Norwegian site and so I want to talk about Norway because there's so much going on there here let me share the article here there's so much going on in Norway and this is so critical and something again every royal family should take stock of because what I found really interesting is that we have had two abdications essentially for scandal in the last 10 or 10 or so years it's been a little over 10 years now one it was King Albert of the belgians abdicated for his son King Felipe and then we also have King Juan Carlos who also advocated for H Felipe so we do have two Phillips on the throne right now but the reason that the two men the the kings were the source of the Scandal the former Kings and so when they abdicated a new era comes in and all of a sudden not totally but some of the past sins are forgiven because oh we have this new route forwards the Norwegians have a problem because it's not the current King who's the issue it's the Next Generation so you almost have the inverse which I think is a worse because if you have a king who's problematic yes it's a problem of course even in this modern era but as we've seen in a couple other countries you can abdicate and again kind of gloss over at least some of the challenges but in Norway it's a younger generation that's the problem and this August has been a disaster for them a complete and utter disaster there is no other way to put it and so the it started off you could say somewhat in the lead up to princess Martha Louise's wedding which we see right here so she married D ver who's a self-proclaimed Shaman he's he's very controversial she is too they have some kind of wild spiritual beliefs they had whole Monograms created because they were referencing their previous lives when they lived in Egypt so is they they come across as very controversial and they're sort of unlikable 50% and so since her marriage which I thought was a very tacky and crash display because they were walking around I think they were in Granger I'm not sure if I'm pronouncing it correctly but they were in the fjords and they sort of did this little Walkabout tour thing and they did a little bit of interviews and it was just very ostentatious for a second wedding for somebody who's not a line of succession and so she could have done this quietly but she did this loudly and I don't think their friends were probably the best reflection of things either we don't have a picture here but there's pretty wild picture of one of the guests who had literally highlighter yellow or green hair I don't know quite what you would call but it's literally the color of a highlighter so this says that seven out of 10 think princess Martha Louise must lose her title and that the king should remove it that's a huge huge number and I don't think things would be too different when it comes to let's say The British either when it comes to and so this was pretty shocking in many ways and so it's goes along with an overall decrease in the popularity of the monarchy so this was when I looked at this I was shocked how bad this was so in a recent opinion poll this news Outlet nrk in Norway said 62% say they support the monarchy and that's a big decrease because in 2017 when the monarchs 80 and they were celebrating their 80th birthdays the support for the throne was at 81% by may it had fallen to 73 may this year 73 now it's Fallen an additional 10 points and of course this marriage has a lot to do with it because people don't really like him she's become more unlikable because she's attached to him you have a similar sort of Harry and Megan situation going on but there's something else here too that I've talked about in a previous video as well and that is the arrest of the crown princess's son Marius so I want to see if they have a picture of him here so this is the Crown Princess her other son isn't there but she married the Crown Prince as a single mother and she had a young son named Marius at the time and he's obviously since grown up and then on the 4th of August so the royal family knows this controversial wedding is coming and they're going to be pulled into this dog and pony show and then Marius gets arrested for assault and the charges now are about three so they are property damage physical assault and making threats because he called his girlfriend friend it's kind of unclear she says friend he says girlfriend take it for what you will and he called and threatened to basically set her clothes on fire and so his problem so all this together we also have a lot of other girlfriends making allegations and he is admitted to struggling for years with mental health issues and substance abuse so you got to wonder how much did the royal family know and how much did they you could say cover for him for many years until it just came to the point where they couldn't cover for him anymore and unfortunately because this young man is the stepson of the Future King the whole family is sort of dragged into it now and you got to wonder about the parenting how do the Crown Prince and princess's couple's children so we have ingred Alexandria and Prince Magnus how do they factor in will they have the same problems as their their half brother like there's now a lot of questions that didn't really exist before and nor doesn't have an easy out here because they are the Next Generation so if it was the current King who was having this issue and the younger generation was fine well you could sidestep the whole thing preserve the the foundation of the monarchy by abdication and everything but that's just not the case here you have the Crown Prince in this instance who is sort of kind of into all of this and so it it's becomes you could say very problematic in a lot of ways and I don't envy them for trying to figure out exactly how to deal with this all because it's not easy and I think the thing I wanted to emphasize here as well in talking about this story is that monarchies have to be so careful because what we've seen in this dramatic slide of the Norwegians is that things can turn on a dime you can think you're totally solid and then you get a couple of hits and all a sudden it's like and I don't think obviously Katherine and William will have this issue I don't think their children will have any of these issues because their children are solid King Charles at this point I mean he's he's in his mid 70s now and so him and Camille I just don't foresee them having a big issues but you do have the constant headache of prince Andrew who they're still trying to kick out of what is it called royal Lodge they're still trying to kick him out of that and try to get him to pasture at Frogmore Cottage but I think the ha a Megan issue and again not going to talk about them too much but I think it's a great reminder to monarchies that you have to be aware of your problematic elements and how all of a sudden things can be churning along pretty well and then those those issues can undermine what was previously a pretty solid foundation because I think for the king of Norway he had a pretty solid foundation then his daughter as she started to kind of get weirder and started dating the shaman guy and everything think that started to undermine things he's had his own health issues and I think it didn't help that he went to Malaysia for like a holiday then had a major health emergency had to have surgery there met avac home and I think that probably some Norwegians probably weren't super happy about the expense related to that because they're like well you're in your late 80s why are you traveling to Malaysia that sort of thing and so those and then you have Magnus who was very much a focal point at one point I found in the way back machine that they've recently changed their said they used to have him on the cover with the rest of the royal family and now now they don't and so I think it's an example again of how things can be undermined so much faster than you might think and I think that's the case with the Norwegians I think they're kind of like kind of almost stunned because they're like okay this got to such a bad place so quickly and we don't really know how that happened and so I did want to point out here real quick is this is the current cover of the Norwegian royal family website so you have the king Herold right there who everybody loves Queen Sonia Crown Princess KH princess ingred Alexander who will be the future Queen and then we have her mother Crown Princess met maret but before everything happened with Magnus and everything and obviously Martha Louise as well let me pull it up here just a second we had an entirely different Royal website at the beginning of August we had an entirely different one and everybody was on there so we had Martha Louise we had s uh Marius and everyone on that website and of course they've taken it down now let's see if I can get it to come up here come on and so yes so you can see all of them here this is Marius the young man who was arrested this is an older picture this is Martha Louise her three daughters and then so everybody is here and now we're just down to the five so you're seeing this very much this progression and again think it's a great example of how other monarchies should take really really close and pay really close attention to their potentially problematic elements because I think some people find that they're so popular and all of a sudden everything is starting to fall apart because it might fall apart at once and so there's a couple of elements still out there you still have the former king of Spain he's still causes ruckuses from time to time you have his daughters one of her one of his daughters her husband spent time in prison so the king of Spain has had a brother-in-law in prison so again lots of things going on lots of scandals but you want to try to keep things as you could say best as you can and then we'll share I don't know if I'll hopefully this doesn't cause an issue or something but this is from a Norwegian site and they F finally this is Magnus another picture here and apparently he is there with a guy connected to terrorism and so again lots of bad things here going on hopefully again they get this addressed at some point but it remains to be seen so just wanted to give you an update there I just found this case just really really interesting and just changing so much and we shall see where it goes from there and so I do see a question here is Magnus going to prison this is from asthma not Marius sorry not Magnus Marius Marius going to prison they sounds similar so I got a little bit confused but so when it comes to Marius we don't know yet in in in prisons in Norway are are you could say pretty fancy schmancy so it it wouldn't be a hard time but he could also get probation of some sort and they're they're very much focused on Rehabilitation so their first route might be to send him to let's say a rehab facility or something and really try to get him but he's already admitted he's been to several rehab facilities and they haven't worked so I think it's the case there of you have to have somebody who really wants to change and I don't think we know at this point if Marius really really wants wants to change so that's that's just sort of interesting so again lots of problems there and it's it's just something where you think that everything can kind of come at once and so I think that's what's happened with Norway but let's move on to another Scandinavian country here and that is Sweden and I have been to Sweden and I love Sweden so I am so excited here yes and we were on another Swedish website if you're ever wondering what Swedish television looks like you got HBO Max there and so they are there for I think it's right stag and so this is for the Swedish opening of parliament so we have the royal family here son's the queen but it's really exciting because we have here and let me make sure I'm still sharing this good we have Crown Princess Victoria her husband Prince Daniel obviously this is King Carl Gustaf we have King Carl sorry Prince Carl Phillip his wife princess sopia who is expecting their fourth child and much excitement the return of princess meline from Florida she is living in Florida the last couple years and her husband Christopher O'Neal so this is when they go to they go to the Royal opera house for sort of ending up the day so they do the opening of parliament then there is a church service and then they have this later evening event and so I pulled this up specifically because we can see them arriving hopefully and so there's the Crown Princess and so they're arriving at this evening reception here and it sounds like maybe she was dealing with a cold or something because she doesn't shake anyone's hands and so and other people do so we got everyone there and again so exciting to see princess meline because I really enjoy seeing princess meline so it's so glad that she is back and that she is doing some of these engagements obviously the King has three children they're all grown and the children of Carl philli and Princess meline they are princes and princesses but they do not have an HR this is something that Sweden has has done kind of all the royal families are sort of streamlining things some in the lower lines only get a his or her highness designation instead of his or her Royal Highness and so that is the case with their children they only have a they have a prince and princess title and a Duke Dum but no HR so again it's just kind of a a line of succession hierarchy type thing there so again great to see princess meline especially back and Crown Princess Victoria I want to do a whole maybe we'll do part of this live stream or something about it is we have a lot of ladies who are currently serving their militaries Royal ladies including potentially which I'm so excited about is maybe lady Louise Windsor she might be one of them who decides to actually enter the Armed Forces this has been reported but Crown Princess Victoria is actually doing some additional military training with the Swedish Armed Forces there's actually a conscription service within Sweden and so she may actually so her husband has served I believe Carl Phillip has served in some way I don't know if Sophia actually was conscripted conscripted into the Armed Forces and served a term but it's so cool that they have doing that so we have crb's Victoria doing some additional training and again I think this is very much connected to the threat that Russia poses Sweden and Norway sorry Sweden and Russia have had a historic kind of Confrontation historic tensions and so oh Chris gave us an update here Chris who is in Sweden says Queen Sylvia was Ill yes I was like trying to read the story and it just kind of wasn't clear so yes Queen Sylvia was Ill maybe it's something Crown Princess Victoria had obviously because she was kind of not shaking anybody's hand either and so there is a historic tension you could say and conflicts between Sweden and Russia going back centuries there's sort of a famous example between Zar Peter the first so obviously Peter the Great and we also have I think it was King Charles of Sweden and they had like historic clashes and Charles ended up like dying on the battlefield and because these men would just they just had this great rivalry between them and so Sweden feels I think the pressure and they're very much you could say more into the defensive aspects in some other countries in Europe so that Victoria is doing it isn't surprise but we also have princess Elizabeth of the belgians has done some military service we also have of course princess Leonor of Spain who is now starting her Navy apprenticeship or navy training and so it is so exciting that she is doing that as well and so and this is from earlier in the day here we have King Carl gustoff and queen Sylvia arriving as they open Parliament and what's cool about Stockholm and thank you again Chris for showing me around there is that stockh like the Parliament building sits on its own little island technically it's all connected by Bridges and stuff but Sweden or Stockholm is very much you could say you could kind of think of it and this isn't totally reflective but similar to Venice is in that it's a series of little Islands connected Stockholm is in many ways and so Oldtown is its separate Island and Parliament has its own little island so I think that's very cool and you get Crown Prince of Victoria and Prince Daniel in the background there another picture of the whole group together as they arrive for this event and we have them arriving also for the parliament here so this will be from Twitter so give it a second to come up and we got this from Swedish television all of them arriving as they greet and start this semester in the Parliament and from what my understanding is that this is a very solemn day you'll notice that the women are wearing black and white and so this is considered a very official solemn dat for the country and for the Royals and so they dress appropriately so and you'll notice as well the king and queen and Crown princess and her husband are here on the floor actually whereas the other Royals are actually up in the balcony here so you can see they're taking their seats there and then we kind of get a view of the whole building and Prince Carl Phillip princess meline and their partners are up here at the top where you cannot see them so don't know if they show up here later but I have a great picture I want to share real quick because I thought this was so interesting and I was so it was so funny to be honest and so I just wanted to share it because I thought it was awesome and amazing in some ways so this is them up on the balcony and they all look kind of bored I love princess mine's feet here she's probably just changing her feet position but thought she almost looked kind of like a kid you know kind of getting a little bored and and stuff so I'm sure it's you know they're very they're very official and everything but I always love it when you get kind of those aspects of yeah they they're like oh man I have to be here again but I'm sure princess meline is so excited to be back in Sweden they've again spent the last several years in Florida and obviously the difference between Sweden and Florida I'm sure is quite Stark so I'd be curious how the kids are are dealing with this big change in their family but so glad to see her back and you also notice Chris here he has British and American citizenship in addition to I believe he applied and received German citizenship because he has connections there and so and his mother lives in Europe so he actually does have headphones here so he can listen in because he does not speak Swedish but I'm sure he's probably learned a little bit and my understanding is that the sentence structure in Norwegian and Swedish is very similar to English so I don't know if he's trying to learn if he's interested in learning at some point but anyways just interesting to know that they are helping him try to understand a little bit of what is going on within the Swedish Parliament so let's go over and I wanted to this story just sort of came up and it goes again with the aspects of what we have here when it comes to kind of problematic elements within the royal families and this comes to us from Spain now there's some the Spanish Royals are are pretty much getting back to work but we do have King Juan Carlos and Juan Carlos was involved in a variety of scandals they were related to Affairs he had had in addition to financial improprieties and so this was an interesting announcement that he made he came on into the country for the funeral of his nephew I believe the cousin to the king and so he has announced that he's creating a foundation for his daughter so this is infanta Ellena and Christina so that he can centralize his assets and lead them an inheritance and so he says the ameritus has created a corporate vehicle to ensure that the infantas elenas and Christina have a permanent source of income when he dies so this this is from a transl from a uh Twitter account from Jose morero he follows a lot of the Spanish Royals and number one I found this interesting because inant Elena and Christina are actually older than King Felipe and they've been adults for quite a while and have adult children so it's kind of weird to think they have a permanent income it's like do they not have jobs do they not have other ways they can make money and there was also a connection here with Juan Carlos and problems with him sort of getting Kickbacks for helping certain projects get into Spain and so the the big question throughout all of this is is that I think looking at this is was the money gotten gains that he's leaving them and given that both of the women are are well into I think they they're into their 50s maybe even the oldest is in her 60s now I don't understand why they can't sustain themselves at this point they need to have a permanent income from Dad and they they unable to do that I just have a big question there one of them of course her husband I believe it was can't remember in if it was infanta Ellena or Christina her husband was obviously as I said earlier imprisoned on charges related to embezzlement and fraud and so that was a problematic they did move out of the country king Juan Carlos himself basically had to leave Spain or wanted to leave Spain at some point because he was involved in a lot of proprieties and so it is something that is just very like just fascinating how these challenges have come to the Royal Spanish family and so it will be it remains to be seen how things will play out but just something interesting to note and we do have for the Norwegian side back to Norway and we do have Crown Prince aan and met Mar they are doing a tour around Norway and they're in Tron Tron digl and actually their youngest son so he is actually currently living there and so he is living there and his girlfriend is working there his girlfriend attended the wedding of Princess Martha Louise with his girlfriend and so they were there together and now apparently they are living in the same city this is up north of Oslo and so this was a important visit too it will happen today tomorrow and going on to Thursday there visit isting four municipalities and it's really their first opportunity or her first real opportunity to address everything that's happening with Marius my understanding is at this point is that she hasn't really addressed any of this when asked this is a question related to serve Magnus their younger son and so it it's a challenge here because I feel like they do need to address it in some way but they're also kind of ignoring it and I understand it's illegal proceedings and everything but you also got to wonder but let's listen to to it a little bit because I enjoy listening to the other languages it's fun no clue what she's saying but it sounds so cool and she does actually if you've ever listen to her speak in English she actually very much has I what I would call close to an American accent and so it is it's just kind of interesting how those those languages do sound really really similar and so looking through and seeing what else we can talk about we'll go ahead and look at some of what I put through in the upcoming edition of what I like to call the crown report so that is the newsletter that will go out as well because I wasn't sure how long this would go so very exciting to see what else other things we might be able to share about what is going on and we do have obviously like I said King Felipe and queen Laticia attended the funeral of Juan Gomez asbo and so he is a cousin to the king from his father's side and so we also had King Juan Carlos came back into the country because I think he's been sometimes living out of the country in Abu Dhabi and queen sofhia who remains very popular in Spain there's a big sort of tension between factions that like Letizia and factions that really like Queen sopia because not a lot lot of people within the upper echelon of Spain really like Letizia and then I also forgot to mention that obviously on September 8th was the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's passing and so there were commemorations for that so many articles talking about how amazing she was and just looking back on this time and how obviously so many things have changed because we now have ch King Charles as king and I did want to mention earlier is that when it comes to the releasing of the video there's a lot of questions about competition and everything in Royal calendars and yesterday September 9th would be was kind of the official commemorations of Charles becoming King and I know some people said well obviously Char Katherine is clashing with Charles and everything and I just want to be clear that no that is not the case because what you see happening there is the whals do synchronize their calendar so if the Wales has released that video yesterday they did that with the full approval of his majesty the king so they had the full approval of his majesty so they went ahead and shared what was going on and I think that is great and I think obviously Charles is very very supportive of it and he has shared via his obviously new sources as well that he that the king and queen greeted the wonderful news and will continue to offer all the love thoughts and support to the princess on her continued path to full recovery so this was well-coordinated nobody's toes got stepped on and this is how the Royals function other people have decided not to function that way but that's how the real Royals function just wanted to make sure that people knew that we also have King Charles and queen camela attended the bray Mar gathering in the Highland Games up in Scotland and guys I love Scotland we had such a fun time there when we went for the RNN trip we do have some spots available if anybody wants to come with us for Christmas we do have still spots available for the Christmas Market but I just pulled up here real quick King Charles and queen Camila there at the game so hold on just one second here because it's just so fun to see the Royals and see them out doing various things here because they look good and enjoying the festivities and Charles I think has always loved these games and so and the queen obviously was a huge huge fan as well Queen Elizabeth II so it's a way to commemorate her as well so we got the national anthem there so so good to see Ro Zara Phillips also competed in some horse trials here as well so he's getting I think I don't I was thinking that guy was related to the scouts but I don't think so because there's a new leader of the scouts as well and so Charles is getting there some commemorations oh I'm not sharing it my my absolute sincere and complete apologies there so in case you missed it here we go we have the king and queen greeting everyone as they arrive and going in to their I always love hearing the the national anthem it's lovely [Music] your majesties my lords ladies and gentlemen so we do have that going on which was very exciting and then of course yeah why is he wearing a kilt isn't he English he is English so this is from and so it was but he enjoys wearing a kilt and yeah I think I think that's perfectly fine I think it's amazing actually so again good to see King Charles and queen Camila out participating in some of these events we also have King Frederick and Queen Mary of Denmark they participated in the Danish Armed Forces national flag day and the Queen Mary also shared a little bit so their son Crown Prince Christian he will be very soon taking part in a trip to Africa so he'll be there about three months I believe he's going to learn more about environmental issues and those sorts of things and so in a statement to the Press at a different engagement Queen Mary said we're really happy on behalf of Christian and everything he will learn on this trip at the same time you're are going to miss him incredibly much but tonight it is all about celebrating the research of two very skilled Danish scientists and researchers so Queen Mary sharing a little bit about Christian and his upcoming tour he did just graduate from high school and so that's just it's always cool when you you have this next Generation coming up we'll do probably a a more about that at some point as well we just had this awesome situation we the next generation is coming and we're also having younger ladies sharing their mother's wardrobes Princess Alexia she went to an event and pretty much wore all of her mother's stuff and I thought that was great because you see kind of the connection and it's it's I think just that a young lady is able to raid her mother's closet I can't wait to see princess Charlotte raiding her mother's closet and bringing out some of those like how cool would it be to see princess Charlotte in the sapphire blue Issa dress that Captain were in her engagement interview that would just make me so excited that would be amazing and then we also had Prince William announced a blue Peter competition for his earthshot prize and so there will be an earthshot innovation Summit later this month in New York City but he is also encouraging young children to get involved and share their ideas and how they can address areas of climate change and submit them for a chance to be recognized by him and OT maybe they'll get a trip to South Africa that would be so amazing Prince William also visited the new exhibition on homelessness uh for his hom wordss project called homelessness reframed and it's part of this overall initiative to really address this very very important issue and it was an opportunity for those who have experienced homelessness to share their stories through ART and so it's it's really kind of cool that they're able to that Prince William has been able to do that in so many ways and making this obviously a huge aspect of his his passion this is one of his passions and in addition to uraw I love how he's he's trying to touch different issues and in a a really positive way so let's see a little bit of the video I believe this is from Kensington Palace on going to Hom wordss in this exhibition and so you see the signs and I love how they're doing this thing as well where they're allowing the exhibition is inspiring because it tells stories of people's journeys of homelessness we get people talking about L and that's the first step and that's what people AR doing I mean so I really do love that I'm just stopping here a little bit for copyright reasons but I do love the idea of this project because obviously he doesn't really have he's not really somebody who has to worry about having a home but he recognizes that others do save my life I'll save my life and Williams beard what do you guys think yay or nay on the beard I know some people have have don't don't quite know where they stand on it because I I I feel like we need to have the beard filled in a little bit more before making a definitive conclusion because right now it's sort of growing in but kind of he'd get a fuller beard he looked great last time Liz said yay do GDX saysi like the beard but I feel like it's it is less professional looking I I could I could see that Shaz says he needs to grow out a wee bit as it looks like a dirty face to me at the moment and we have Deborah yay on the beard Tori says n but I don't like facial hair I love Prince William but it's a nay for me this is from Miss Terry Margaret says just love the young man with or without a beard Star Girl of Ana says the beard definitely needs to be filled in it's too sparse so I'm team clean shaven so we are it's it's going to be interesting to see if he keeps this or something that he adopts but we do have I missed we do have a lot of royal men with facial hair right now so this must be a trend you have King Felipe and I think both King Felipe I need to look at the other king Felipe I haven't seen him out and about too much we also have King Frederick Crown Prince Khan has a beard oh gosh I'm missing one now King wilham Alexander I feel like I'm missing more but yes a lot a lot with the Beards there it's becomes sort of a royal Trend oh Harry we do also have Harry Harry does also have a beard so but definitely it's become something where a lot more men in the Royal sphere are adopting it so yeah I like it Marcel says not sure about the beard yet I agree there and so that is pretty much what we have lining up here and like I said in October King Charles and queen Camila will be heading down to Australia and Samoa for a tour I was really hoping I was so hoping Katherine and William would be heading down to Australia and New Zealand at some point because I really wanted to go that would be continent number six for me very exciting and to and that they would bring the kids and I think it would be lovely lovely lovely to see them on tour with the children all three of them only George and Charlotte have been on tours actually but obviously with Katherine's cancer diagnosis and everything things have been disrupted quite a bit so it remains to be seen how things will go so guys that is most of what I have to share with you but I just be curious if anybody has any sort of sticker I I appreciate that and so we have a question here from and so was Britney how are you finding these rare foreign news sources I I follow a lot of people I try to F follow a lot of people on Twitter especially those who are in countries like um Jose who is in Spain I believe and he shares a lot of Spanish stuff and so it's like awesome because I don't know all of it but I I'm able to translate it I follow people who share things from the the Danish the Norwegian the Swedish and so I can find those websites I found other Royal websites related to the Dutch so I really try to be aware of those different sources because it is hard especially the Mario story you really do have to dig into the Norwegian sources to get some of the best material on that there was a a decent amount in the English side when the story initially broke but over time it's diminished so you really do have to go to these these foreign outlets and it is sort of timec consuming because you have to look and most of the time not all the time you have to get I go over to Google Translate and it it takes a little bit of time you don't get the the best things there was an interesting translation today of conferences Victoria's outfit and said something about her having a full bladder I'm like I really don't think that's what it said so it was fun but I really wish I would love if I could pull up any of these websites and just read it directly I would love that but I'm just not there so instructor Matt said great update thanks Britney you are welcome yeah guys let me know what you what you think Royals because I want to share more about them but when it comes to editing editing can be very a very timec consuming process and so it's hard to do everything and so this is a way to share so many so much information and so many updates without the challenge of having to do some additional editing too and so I can put some attentions elsewhere because I'm following all these stories I'm looking at all these stories but if if I have a a video that's even 15 minutes that could take me an hour or two to edit or if it's longer or if I'm putting in a lot of pictures and stuff so this is just a
