welcome everyone to the plan in Jordan hair Stadium home of the Auburn Tigers where telling someone War Eagle is just as common as saying hello and while today is the final home game of the season for one team it is more importantly a celebration senior day as we'll see the number eight team in the country the Texas A&M Aggies taking on a fellow SEC opponent the Auburn Tiger for EA Sports college football I'm ree Davis joined here in the booth by David Pollock and Jesse Palmer and guys let's get this thing started Texas ADM set to kick off to Chris in this game and he takes this from inside the five he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 the Tigers offense is on the field for the first time time today here he comes at any time this guy touches the ball and he will touch it plenty a bolt of electricity just goes through the stadium David and they'll feature him they'll in you can't walk very far in these parts without being greeted with a war eagle and boy did they hope it will be a joyous one today welcome to Jordan hair stadium in the home of the Auburn Tigers as we wind our way toward the end of another college football season one of the Grand Traditions is paying tribute and respect to those who have just poured their souls into the success of this program and honor the seniors on Senior Day Auburn will kick it off to get things started here he comes from inside his own five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 so Auburn's offense will get the first crack at it here and there he is a man who makes an entire Stadium hold its breath every time he touches the ball Jesse this defense better had a lot of breath in this game too cuz he gets better as the game goes on he's the kind of guy David who can wear a defense down and he is the primary focus that's what this defense is focused and key in on we got to stop him if we're going to have success today and the Tigers want to move quickly those outside runs if they can get the edge like they do great job by the Right Guard right tackle getting the edge and now what does this do this makes cornerbacks come up and Tackle safeties come up and Tackle as opposed to line backers and big defensive players you get your guy out in space where he can use his speed and his physicality against guys that usually cover and don't come up and make tackles got three on first down it's second and seven back to throw it's Thorne it's complete on the right side gets it all the way down to the 39 yd line it'll be a first down the Tigers come to the line with a new set of downs well it's a nice play design there you're getting the running back involved in the pass last game quarterback gives it to him early so he can go to work up field and get the first down makes the catch and he's brought down got some of the work done on first now let's see what they have on second [Applause] down they'll leave it with him able to squeeze out a couple on the play it's down at the 35 it has been a season to forget and honesty compels us to say changes are probably coming I'm not sure but I think ree Davis just fired a coach is is that what I heard I'm pretty sure that's what just happened listen hasn't oh he's so hard to get on the ground he's got room and oh he was Off to the Races after the catch and they finally drag him [Applause] down in the red area it's Po and he's able to find a little bit of Running Room before they get him down and that's the problem with blitzing on defense you live by the blitz you die by The Blitz defense dialed up the pressure but the offense had a better play call they ran it away from the Blitz and that's why they were able to be successful on second down wants to throw they've got the screen set up makes the grab and it's enough for the first down before he's dragged to the ground defense is backed up shadow of the goal post trying to defend their own End Zone trying to pound their way in and he takes it in for the score touchdown over he'll try to tack on one more and the pat makes it seven nothing to a drive there of 84 yds and finish the deal with the short touchdown run from the two air lining up to boot it away on the run from inside his own five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 so Texas A&M defense has the ball for the first time and you'd better be sharp throwing the football to the outside Jesse because both of these teams have lock up corners and they're really good at baiting you into throwing their way as well you got to be careful and David I like these guys too because they're not afraid to get their face in the fan and support the Run game no do it's fun because when you're a defense and you can shut down half the field you can do so many different things to give other guys help because you trust these guys on an island outside this crowd trying to make life miserable for this offense they'll go to the ground that play just never had a chance they knock him down for a loss of five listen to this crowd just shaking the GDs of this place trying to help their defense trying to get behind the defense makes the grab along the left sideline for the huge game Texas A&M going quickly what a beautiful throw and catch on this play and I love the job the receiver did tracking the ball in the air nice job of locating the throw and then hauling it in they'll pick up four second and Six coming really important for a ranked team going into a hostile environment like this one not to give the underdog reason to believe yes reason to believe and don't give the and he can't escape and down he goes playaction pass success has a lot to do with selling that F you could tell defense was not buying it got in the back field got the big play looking for a man it's Wegman cats open down the middle and he's not going to make it the defense denying him the first down the aies send out the punt team to kick it away they'll have to punt for the first time this afternoon a fairly short distance here the sidelines not his best [Applause] work and Auburn is ready to go back to work on offense how about that last drive just carved him up in the air David yeah and how about that quarterback you gave him the ball and he delivered the goods great job taking apart the defense Jesse on that last drive he really did David I mean that was a master class and just reading coverage and being accurate no huddle here for the offense that's just a very easy comfortable throw for the quarterback he knows he has his big Target tight end running across the field on the drag nice play they finally get him on the ground with the big running play moves to change for the first down quarterback by himself in the back field he'll come out throwing on first down fires to the wide out and the pass hits picked off takes it the other way at the 30 and they capitalize not only on the pick but on the great return to improve this field position it's first and goal as Texas A&M comes to the line they'll try to get it in with the Run not much room he gets one down to the seven defense rolls up deep in its own end on that last play now a second and long coming wide receiver coming across in motion touch pass on the Jet Sweep great penetration by this defense and they knock him down behind the line a loss of one they'd love to make this short field payoff with a touchdown instead of a field goal but it's third and goal looking to pass it's Wegman pass is incomplete but a lot of contact there I think it's going to be pass interference and a first down and the defender just way too handsy on that last play you could see all the contact as the ball was in the air you simply can't do it and the referee's caught if you don't tip the scales at three bills stay on the side lines big boys in the goal line D he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three nice job by the defense first and goal situation you can expect run a lot of the times they were physical got in the back field stuff the Run they'll keep it on the ground right up the gut look for six they get him on the ground at the three yd line but this defense is taking some punches and with the stuff there Jesse on second down this little third to midrange you got two downs what are you thinking here maybe getting your quarterback out on the perimeter and giving him a run pass option see if you can get the defense in a bom knock down for the tackle decision time right here I like going for it you're playing on the road you have an opportunity to take the crowd out of it a little bit here why not just line up quickly try to run the ball yeah stay aggressive I mean you want to shut these people up you want to quiet them down but field goals don't do that very often try to go for the touchdown right here now here comes that Auburn offense onto the field again and that incomplete pass caused by the big hit on first down second down coming after the quarterback and receiver failed to hook up they'll try it again on on second down he's looking to throw get it out on the screen they finally get him stopped but what a good job by that front wall to set up the screen and create some lanes for their running back looking to move it through the air incomplete thanks to the great defensive pressure there that sort of threw them out of rhythm didn't connect last time let's see if they throw it again on second down out of the gun they'll run it inside and after the stop that is going to put a bow on this first quarter that's the end of the quarter and Auburn has the lead one period in the books and let's take a look at the [Applause] stats they've swapped into of the field and we're ready to go in the second back on the field after the break and we'll start the quarter here on third down back to throw it's Thorne setting up the screen they finally get him stopped but what a good job by that front wall to set up the screen and create some lanes for their running back that is a time honored way to slow down the rush hit him with the screen and a chunk play yeah such a great job cuz you're flying up the field to get to the quarterback cuz everything looks like pass down the field Lu those guys get up the field throw it right behind him he does a little bit of the rest making some moves getting up field making the big play obviously when you're playing in WEA like this the ball is very slippery and it's hard to catch the QB threw a bullet that time and his receiver just could not reel it in on Third and long trying to have a big completion here that pass not close as he got got drilled trying to deliver it and it'll bring up fourth down they'll leave the offense out there to try to get it past the marker and pick up the First on fourth down looking for the completion trying to pick up the first out of the back field how about that defense rising up and stopping him short on fourth down here comes the offense on first down easy he's going to a pass finds his man it's Thomas really confident throw and catch there big kick up and they have a first down and now a fresh set of downs for this [Applause] offense wants to throw on first down off the play fake and he'll tuck it into the chief seats there and save the down nobody getting open there and here comes the offense on second [Applause] down they'll run it from the gun really nice stop there from this senior leader this offensive line better figure out a plan for this D tackle he is tough to block with one guy you might want to start double teaming him he's going to be a problem moving forward you saw all of his ability on that last he's got an open man they bring him down but he's got a first and goal from the 10 this Texas A&M offense is wasting no timeas the corners are walked up tight dropping back it's Wegman touchdown Aggies and they'll put that scoreboard operator to work and put six on the board and what a nice STK for this offense the throw game getting working getting the touchdown pass this quarterback getting a little bit of confidence this passing game getting in the Rhythm nice start for this offense and he did get that extra point through the slippery surface no problem and we're all square as he's set to kick it away let's see what he can do with the return really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 and Auburn is ready to go back to work on offense looking for a productive play on first [Applause] down now the quarter back changing the original play [Applause] call wasting no time throwing on this drive grabbed in the middle it's Coleman put it right on him sweet play good pick up and they'll move the chain with the first down Zone coverage means everybody's looking at the quarterback so now when I'm a wide receiver I got to make sure I know I fit in the hole between these zones I know where they're dropping to and I know where I need to get to great job by the wide receiver finding that hole and the quarterback throwing stke give to the back not much working there it'll be second and nine Stu with a running game on first down now here they come again he's back to throw on second down a little screen to the running back oh what a move they finally get him stopped but what a good job by that front wall to set up the screen and create some lanes for their running [Applause] back from the gun running back gets to give five to six yards a pop I don't know if you guys are really good at math but that usually equals a first down every couple carries so don't forget about the Run game keep them honest pound that run halfway there on first down it's second and five motion from the offense to the air it's Thorne they'll run the screen and they knock him down but he got past the line to gain and there you go you see you don't have to throw bombs to get big plays in the passing game just screen it to your running back as soon as he catches it gets up field and how about a downfield blocking by these linemen and the wide receivers as they rip off that explosive play he wants to throw and he was hit just as he was releasing the pass and it falls to the ground incomplete that's a phenomenal job getting after the quarterback and getting a hit on him to affect his accuracy because if they didn't get the pressure that was going to be a touchdown he had a guy wide open in the Ed Zone that was a golden opportunity but the defense comes up for it okay still third and goal fast motion from the offense feeling some heat and he got smacked just as he released the pass it's incomplete here comes the field goal unit as they'll try to take the [Applause] three and it's right down the Boulevard and guys after the field goal now they have the lead so after putting three on the board the kickoff team is out there ready to boot it away he'll bring it out it's Smith pulled down at the 18 and the decision to bring it out of the end zone was not a good one Texas A&M has it back on the offense ready to go to work that last Drive really productive David wound up with a touchdown they'll try to do it again yeah so I don't expect this offense to change too much Reese they had a great Drive they got the touchdown everything working I would expect him to keep pushing this ball down here and just imagine if they could put another touchdown on the board right here they could capture so much momentum in this game with backto back TDS into the pile maybe got one he stopped at the 21 it's third down now and they ought to be able to get off one more play before the two-minute warning to the air it's Wegman dumps it to the back got his man he's going to have enough to pick up the first down as stop him at the 33 yd line the aies come to the line with a fresh set of downs they'll throw it on first down a strike downfield and he was Off to the Races finally tripped up at the 36 that kind of play will send a surge of energy through your offense now they've got it first and 10 inside the 40 he's looking to throw it finds the tight end and not much doing there as that defense runs him out of bounds and now on second down for this offense he's looking to throw fires to the tight end and they'll stop him just short of the first down just inches away from moving the sticks better find the earplugs here comes the noise backing this defense on third down he took a hit as he threw it and couldn't deliver the football it's incomplete and fourth Down's coming less than a yard to go for a first down and the offense will remain on the field quick timeout by the defense there trying to make sure everyone has the same call now on fourth down they'll try to come away with three dialed up the they fake it and the kicker's looking to pass it's ugly but it worked the fake field goal catches the defense with its pants down and it's going to be a touchdown oh the fake caught the defense by surprise opened up a little passing Lane for the sco and I tell you what on field goal block what are we doing we're sending everybody you might want to keep a guy or two back deep just in case they do run the field goal and when you bring the field goal block and you bring everybody and you're sending all your resources to get them and you're not covering this can happen I tell you what guts to call the play and it actually worked the kickoff team out there there to boot it away and 15 yds farther up the field after the ruing the kicker penalty now here comes that Auburn offense onto the field again always good to get points on a drive David but Chip Shot field goals can leave you a little empty yeah I think it's great to get points but the great teams get touchdowns in the red area you got to get out there this time and execute a little better on this drive you're absolutely right David generally the best Red Zone offenses are the ones that run and the pressure was too much they get him at the 15 the hurry up now second down clock ticking quarterback checking the play scanning the field it's Thorne and it'll be incomplete this defense is physical and pass deep this defense has kept them backed up now one more stop and they can get off the field on Third and long [Applause] looking to throw and he needs a chunk play got his man to the left referee signals timeout it's the defense wanting to make sure that they have everything just right with a big play coming one of the things I love about this defense is they just have such great awareness and they're always communicating they understood the down and distance they knew exactly what they needed to do to make the tackle to force the punt that is is so well done on fourth down they're taking to the Air complete and looking for enough for the first down he's run out of bounds but he's got enough to move the sticks they'll snap this one from the 42 it's first and 10 [Applause] looking to move it through the air and the physical play there forces the incompletion on first down man and that's a big missed opportunity for the running back I'm trying to find ways to feature this guy and get him the football in space and not just hand it to him all the time and tell you what I'm a lot less likely to find those plays if he can't reel in those catches right back to the air on second and 10 the qu back scrambled around but the defense able to scramble him and turn it into a sack the defense calls the timeout they're second of the day as they try to get their act [Applause] together let's see what call they have on Third and long from the 28 quarterback reacting to what the D is [Applause] showing on Third and long he's going to have to turn one loose downfield that pass not close as he got drilled trying to deliver it and it'll bring up fourth down Auburn's going to have to send out the punt team gets his first one of the day away and that matches his total from that Victory last week waves the arm for the fair Catch and the catch is made close to the 30 yard line Texas A&M has it back and we say howdy to the agie offense again throws to the wide out how about that play to get a hand in there and force the incompletion now on second down after the incompletion wants to throw it's Wegman receiver looks it in it's complete well the defense playing Zone coverage there they're taking away all of the QB's primary options down the field so he has to check it down to the drag running underneath Here Comes This Home crowd as the defense tries to get off the field on third down got it in the middle it's green and he was just a couple of steps away from taking that one even further after the catch quick timeout call by the offense after the play A&M comes back out with another first down he's going to [Applause] pass snagged on the outside it's Mohamed and he'll make his way out of bounds after the solid pick up time dwindling away as they try to put points on the board right before the half he's looking for an open man on second down grab near the marker is mohamd and he's knocked down immediately but not before he moves the chains everybody lined up quickly snapped and spiked to stop the clock on second down they'll try the field goal to get the points before halftime here's a Timeout on on the field tight game here late in the first half so they'll send out the field goal unit he'll have to generate power and some accuracy a 50 y from the left hasch he bomed it through a 50yd field goal showing off that powerful leg that late in the half field goal always gives you a little boost going to the locker room and they'll need to finish off these final few seconds and not allow them to answer just enough time for one final play in this half quarterback checking off looking downfield it's Thor going to throw it over the top of the knee pass is incomplete and that's going to do it for the first half that's the end of the second quarter that means it's time to join Kevin in our halftime update thanks guys a first half that saw a little bit of everything there on the planes and we'd be remiss if we didn't start this halftime report by acknowledging the sparkling play of this tight end the guy's like an aircraft carrier out there as a blocker and then when he releases and shows off that speed and Route running he's almost unguardable got to believe he won't be able to go anywhere in this second half without someone attached to his hip with that said let's send it back to the guys at Jordan hair thanks for that breakdown Kevin just about set here in the second half as Auburn about to kick it off fielded In The End Zone it's Moss I know he thinks he can house every return but sometimes you just have to take a knee as he stopped at the 14 Texas A&M has it back and the offense ready to go to work they have this lead to start the third quarter because of the passing game didn't get a lot done on the they did but the quarterback is in a rhythm that was obvious in the first half and so this first drive you want to continue that you want to see good decision making you want to see him playing on time and as always delivering the football with I mean I don't know how I don't give him the football it's the reason I built the lead he's the guy that I can trust this offense has built around him so I expect more of the same here in the second half they've got him pen deep in their own end In This Crowd trying to help keep them there and he was was drilled just as he released the pass it's incomplete Texas A&M will have to boot it away second time today they've been forced to [Applause] punt makes a move and they'll haul down the returner to start us on the next drive and Auburn is ready to go back to work on offense they've got it first and 10 at the 50 they'll crank up this drive with the pass with the catch it's Hunter he's brought down solid pick up on a little bit short of the first down the Tigers want to crank the tempo on second down he'll let it fly fires to the big fella nice pitch and catch there and they'll have enough for the first down let me tell you this senior quarterback can flat fit it in a tight window looking to throw it's Thorne finds his big tight end really good concept there to get things going and use the tight end early yeah I mean just such a great job on first down setting up an easier second down understanding I don't always have to push the ball down the field but see the tight end make the throw know it's not a big gain but makes life really easy on that second down on second down he'll let it fly that friends is a busted play incomplete really need to pick up this conversion and avoid having to settle for the field goal wide receiver shows motion he's looking to throw on Third and short going to try to pop one on the screen can't quite cross the plane to get the six but they'll have the first down and the tigers are marching down the field easy trying to punch it in and he takes it to the house touchdown Tigers here comes the two-point try [Applause] we wants to go up top got it set up on the outside this time he'll be stopped short of the goal line so after scoring the touchdown he tried to tack on the two-point conversion but was denied he'll bring it out it's Moss pulled down at the 18 and the decision to bring it out of the end zone was not a good one Texas A&M has it back and we say howdy to the agie offense again they still have the lead here Jesse but this would be a good time to put together a drive you're right you can't rest easy right now you just watch the opponent drive down the field and score a touchdown of their own so you got to answer that here your Playmakers better step up and I don't know what it is about momentum in all the locker rooms in all the years coaching everything you can't quantify hit the after burner's kid inside the 30 inside the 10 slippery slide find his way and ran away from the crowd into the end zone touchdown Aggie man this guy is such a weapon because he's so dangerous if he gets into the second level great vision and then David shows you the speed just straight Wheels erasing angles a lot of times when you're chasing guys that are so fast like this you're like I got him I got him no I do not what a big long touchdown run pad those stats Young fella and the returner is stopped now here comes that Auburn offense onto the field again Jesse looking to take it down the field for backto back touchdowns it's really important for them moving forward too to have a lot of balance right you want to be able to keep this defense guessing PA yeah and you got me searching for answers after that last drive you stack another drive on top of this their defenses heads are going to be spinning all over the place safe completion on the screen he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense and they executed that running back screen to Perfection quarterback held on to it he let the rush get to him offensive lineman got out in position and the running back sold it too once he had the ball in his hands he just had blockers and Green Field out in front of him they pick up an explosive play on a running back screen and with that pass right there over 300 yd that's a good day at the office being able to execute doing a good job seeing what's coming anticipating taking some shots today but his really strong put up some good numbers this offense has a second down play quarterback changing the plays at the line they keep attacking through the air and the defense they've got him at the 27 if I'm the offensive coordinator I'm thinking about chipping this defensive end with running backs I'm leaving my tight ends in to help this tackle because we cannot block him he's already got two sacks on Third and long hoping to throw beyond the sticks and that's incomplete a Defender all over him knocked the ball to the ground fourth down coming up and on fourth down they'll try to put three on the board not a chance missed it that one could have helped out a bit there guys but still an eight-point game Texas A&M has it back and the offense ready to go to work David they' love to do what they did last time and put this one in the end zone you ain't line they did a great job the offense was clicking everything went well Palmer they executed and got the touchdown and they really were in a nice Rhythm as well I'd love to see that here on the next drive too just keep doing what you're doing everything seems to be working and you seem to have this defense on their ears they've made third down offensive key it'll be tested on Third and long from the 28 looking for a man it's Wegman On Target to the left oh look out there he goes and he ran away from the defense to take it in touchdown agies and this offense is clicking another touchdown didn't have to go far for this drive but this offense is doing what they want how they want when they want and let's check in with Kevin Conor's in the studio Kevin guys let's get you up to speed on what's going down in this fun college football game today Miami has the lead right now but this Kane's crowd is restless they just haven't been able to separate themselves yet there in the 305 they're up by seven over Wake Forest we've got our eye on this one and everything else going on throughout the day guys and how about that one Kevin will be keeping an eye on everything going on elsewhere and down goes the quarterback there are penalty Flags down but it looks as if this might be on the offense this defense happy with how that last play turned out to able to climb the penalty let's see what they've got on second down he's looking to throw that pass is incomplete and they might be fortunate it wasn't knock free for a fumble it'll be third down looking downfield and he needs a bunch they get to him as he throws that pass is well off Target he got hit as he was trying to throw and they can't convert on third down on fourth down going to the air oh he's going to try to hit him over the top Maks the ground on the right and they finally get him to the ground an easy conversion for this this offense defense not exactly the perfect fourth down call there hey man that was just perfect execution offensively on a fourth down like that if you're going to throw a completion get the first to keep the drive alive QB's got to be great with his eyes he's got to throw it on time his target has to be in the perfect place at the perfect time and you got to be able to haul it in they checked all the boxes on that [Applause] four to the air it's Thorne and it's incomplete but there's a flag in the back field let's see who the calls [Applause] on just an obvious holding call there and one that just kills an offens is momentum second down coming up 29 he's looking to throw they're setting up the screen not a whole lot of room there on that screen passes it just never developed well this offense will screen you in a variety of ways they'll throw receiver screens tight end screens the running back screen also a big part of what they like to do like you just saw there on Third and long no secret what he needs here he's got it he gets it in touchdown alurn great example of how a second half can really change everything for a team no doubt first half look back it looked like it was Bleak it looked like it was ugly but now you're starting to get it turned around more drives like this is what's needed and with the extra point every little bit counts as they get [Applause] closer almost ready to kick it away after scoring the touchdown looks as if the returner will try and field this one and the coverage team able to make the tackle Texas A&M has it back and we say howdy to the aie offense again and David how they would love to stick it in the end zone one more time after that last drive and once you get the defense on their heels and you back them off a little bit you get in a little bit of Rhythm it's really hard to stop Jesse and they're going to try to do it again right here and if you're this play caller you're loving what's happening right now because everything you dialed up on that last Drive ended up working out you're just looking at your play sheet everything you're picking is working look if they can pull it off again here back to pass it's Wegman coming after him fires to the big fella now they've got a little room to work with they're out to the 28 with a first [Applause] down Texas A&M has the lead at the end of the quarter let's take a quick look at the national rankings to see how this playoff race is shaping [Applause] up not only is the scoreboard on their side but so too is time as we open the fourth Texas A&M back to work with another first down he wants to throw the short hands it's mohamd that is exactly what you're looking for when you talk explosive plays the defense finally able to make the stop this is so interesting right now watching this offense stay aggressive they've got the lead in the fourth quarter and you're thinking at home we got to just run the ball and try to bleed the clock they found something on defense they're taking advantage of two straight completions I won't be surprised if they throw it again picked up two yards on that last one they need eight on second down quarterback on the keeper no way to run on that one he loses four on the carry big third down as the crowd Gets behind this defense from the gun wants to pass getting some heat and that pressure just engulfed him a sack for this defense the AI send out the punt team to kick it [Applause] away look looking for a block it's Hunter he gets a block found a little run room on that one picked up some nice blocks before he's run out of bounds and Auburn is ready to go back to work on offense that last touchdown Drive was surgical through the air Jesse it sure was and that's why this offense is so dangerous David because they can score in a hurry because of how efficient they are throwing the football yeah and welcome to Modern college football he'll take a deep shot here and they won't be able to connect back downfield looking for a big time play the incomplete pass leaves him with second Down [Applause] Easy dropping back it's Thor finds his big tight end plenty of room on that play and they find their way to the 36 Auburn lines up quickly this tight end just creates matchup problems S no matter how you try to defend him how about the catch radius on him too so as a quarterback you don't have to be a shot toward the end zone and they won't make the connection going for the big play second down after that incompletion the receivers often will run their route based on a side adjustment they want to just keep throwing it get it in his hands for the score and let it fall to the turf it'll be third down they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here on third down he'll try to pick it up through the air pulls it in it's Hunter he's right out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down and The Yards just continue to stack up for this dude we've already talked about he made over 300 over 400 now he's over 450 on the game he has been on fire this Auburn offense doing work they're set up with another first down now from inside the Red Zone they'll throw it to the back on the screen and they wrap him up but not before he gets enough on the catch for the first down so so close to cashing it in for this offense wants to throw on first down using the back as a receiver on the screen touchdown tigers and they take it in for six more points and how about the OC slipping in the screen pass try to mix it up slow down that pass rush let it come up the field a little bit get it to your running back let him do the rest nice blocking nice play call to throw in the screen to change it up a little bit and get the big touchdown into the end zone for the two-point conversion and we we are all tied up here in the fourth here comes the kickoff as we are all tied up in the fourth quarter he'll bring it back from inside to spot not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 Texas A&M has it back and the offense ready to go to work that last Drive fizzled out Jesse they had to punt it yeah they did and David they're just going to have to do a better job this time around erasing the mental mistakes and just trying to solve the defensive riddle understanding what they're trying to do to you and attack them back to throw it's wman unloads to the wide out tremendous awareness along the sideline and the ability to get the foot down for the big pickup it'll be a first down from the 49 yd line he's looking to throw it finds his tight end he's brought down but there's a flag on the plan let's see if it stands I'm not sure he knew he had the face maskk there tried to let it go in time but couldn't it's a penalty on the defense the offense will gladly take a fresh set of downs after the penalty they'll throw it on first down finds his man it's mohamd they make the stop trying to pick up just a little bit at a time to get to that first down mark that completion leades us with second and medium they'll Run play action fires on the Move touchdown Texas A&M they move on top here in the fourth like a Thanksgiving turkey they're just being cared no shot they have no idea how to get in this quarterback's head he's on fire everything he's doing is working defensively we got to figure something out we got to try to do something a little bit different bring more pressure at this right shoot he's on so much fire you might as well just send everybody Blitz everybody live with the results cuz everything else ain't working anyways the kickoff team on the field and he ought to just boom this thing through the end zone with that extra 15 yds on the [Applause] penalty now here comes that Auburn offense onto the field again they Unleashed an aerial assault last time that took them right to the end zone David So ree with that drive I think you've accomplished something you wanted to accomplish make this def Lofts one high and deep and it's an incomplete pass on the Deep shot but the flag is down let's check the [Applause] call amazing how many times an offensive holding penalty will stall a drive we'll see if the offense can overcome it line gets set first down looking downfield it's Thor he rifles one deep down the middle and this is dropped incomplete pass he had a huge gain in his fingers and he couldn't hold on and the incompletion brings up a second down he's looking to throw he'll take another shot here and it goes through his hands oh he had an explosive play right there for the taking but couldn't reel it in he's been under pressure all season and they really haven't done much to turn down that heat and it's just hard to imagine that this guy will be back leading this program next year yeah and you want to see him finish strong and I think coach needs to finish strong all the negativity swirling around the program obviously you hear it it's a part of it the kids hear it but finishing strong would kind of ease some of that but Palmer it's the body of work everything he did this season is going to be taken into account and it's going to be tough I think for him to keep his job it's a combination of wins and losses this year but it's also about who's out there there's some good Big Time candidates some good coaches that could come in we know they've got the money to spend it just seems like they're going to make a change and that decision will be questioned for a while looking to go up top on first down just a short pass to the tight end and he might be known for one but that was a sure and heavy tackle on the tight [Applause] end on second down he's looking downfield and he can't get it off taken down what a huge play this late in the game third play of the drive and they need to take advantage of this field position by making something happen on Third and long and he's not going to get there the defense Stands Tall and makes the Stop and now on fourth down they will put it on the shoulders of the kicker to save them with his foot good like down the Boulevard and that lead grows even bigger so after the last Drive ended with a field goal the kickoff team out there to send it away you know it's funny in an age where there's so many college football analytics and everybody wants to go for it on fourth down at the end of the day it still comes down to managing good decision by the head coach here in the fourth quarter by kicking that field goal youve now made it a two possession game your chances of winning this thing have now gone way up here's a throw downfield late he's got him on the right side great job by the receiver to get the foot down Auburn to the line in a [Applause] hurry quarterback making adjustments with his receivers to the air on first down makes the catch they'll get him stopped just short of the end zone but they're in business here with a first down now they've got to hustle to the line and get [Applause] set on the ground into the end zone for a touchdown and here in the final minute they still have a chance if we had any chance to make this happen we had to score with a little bit of time on the clock now we need a miracle now now we need to kick the onside get an onside kick and somehow someway make a big play and the extra point splits the uprights about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown he'll start the return inside his five he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic that they' get him on the ground at the 20 Texas A&M has it back and we say howdy to the aie offense again all right this game just got Tighter and you just don't want to make a mistake here David especially in the fourth quarter remember you're still leading this ball game you're still going to execute the same way Palmer don't get frantic don't get frantic but I would like to see them stay aggressive too you put a touchdown up on the board here this goes back to being a two-possession game you got to believe they just want to run it take care of the football and keep that clock moving on second and nine got to be smart patient great vision uses all of that to get to the 29 timeout called there by the defense desperate to get the ball back and save as much time as possible debb Rising as the crowd Gets behind this defense on third down they'll try to pick it up on the ground he's drop behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three as an offense you've got the lead you had success running the football you hope that this play is just the bit because you know you're going to have to lean on your bcow running back to ice this game and cl out Texas A&M will have to boot it away he's getting plenty of work fourth time we've seen this guy punt it today slips through the [Applause] line found a lot of running room before he goes out of bounds and what a way to build a little momentum and Auburn is ready to go back to work on offense easy trying to find his man on first down deep shot for the end zone and that one Falls incomplete trying to get a chunk play on that one well you know the defense felt freaked out on that one you're in the fourth quarter and you're lined up against one of the fastest players in all of college football and they're taking a shot up top if you just hold on tight and hope for the a shot toward the end zone the receiver was doubled and they picked it off when you're down late in the game you got to make plays it's really tough not to force the football you could tell quarterback forces the football defense comes up with a huge [Applause] interception running out the clock a mere formality between them and a victory as we have Victory formation coming and the quarterback takes a knee oh points weren't the issue guys but they couldn't string together enough stops to get the victory yeah good news bad news scenario I guess good news is you're going to score this offense looks like they can be explosive and they can light up the scoreboard bad news though David they've got a lot to clean up on the defensive side of the ball yeah and welcome to college football nowadays right this is how it works a ton of points defense is learn as you go but you got to get better you
