MANCHESTER UNITED vs LIVERPOOL! Ten Hag MUST Do This!

hello everybody Welcome to the United stands Manchester United versus Liverpool preview and this is a big one you know what it might be the transfer window end but this match is massive it's massive and we need to focus in on it and that's what we're going to do and straight away I have a question for you actually there was a match last season I thought it was Liverpool um I think rashford leaves the right back and it ends up with a goal and I can't remember what game it was but it's relevant to this but if anyone in the comments can tell me what game that was I'm pretty sure it was Old Trafford and either put in a weak tackle or he left his man and it led to a goal I thought it was Liverpool but I don't think it was looking back at the goals um in the cup and the league game anyway into this game massive game Arie slots against Eric tenh the Aira div AA divis Wizards um Dutch coaches against each other with the two biggest clubs in England H it's massive we've lost one Liverpool have won two we lose this three from nine it's scary time going into the international break if we can get a win it actually puts us level with Liverpool who a lot of people have been talking about how good they have been look first of all Manchester United how do we line up for this game then we'll talk about Liverpool and I think that one of the interesting things that's going to be about this and you can see it in the predicted lineup remember this is the predicted lineup this is what I think ten hog will do um not necessarily what I would do get your comments in on what you think um I think we'll win this game first of all I I'll get that in very early I think we win this game 2-1 I've seen a few people saying that and I'm going to go 2-1 I've been saying it all week it's on my super six I'm going man united 21 um I think Home Advantage will be key I think that we have to see a response from Brighton and I don't think we've been that bad against fham and Brighton as well I think the result was bad but as we said ten hog made a load of mistakes last week probably five or six massive mistakes and we still only lost because of a very unlucky offside goal that will never happen again for the next 10 years to us and also a stoppage time goal that was preventable so despite the mistakes we only lost 2-1 and we shouldn't have lost so I think there's a lot to build upon and people might underestimate us a little bit but how he will line up I think injury to Mason Mount is going to be the big update because if it's true that Mason mount's injured and he hasn't trained all week I think that puts Manchester United in a very very difficult position because although I don't like the two false nines that we've seen against uh Fulham and against Brighton in both games I don't like it I don't think we're fluid with it I don't think we create enough Chances with it but I think against Liverpool they are a possession-based team they've averaged 63% possession in both their games so far whereas ours has been a lot lower I think we've been more around sort of 53% we don't want to give that ball to Liverpool and we're not going to start a g it's going to be casmiro so we've got to look at ways to stop Liverpool playing through the middle which is what they want to do in a slot system so I think that by playing Mount and Bruno in that sort of double false n whatever you want to call it it it would work quite well in stopping the passing Lanes but if mount's not fit we fall again at the first hurdle don't we of this is the problem with Mount where does he fit in the team then when there's a system that might be suitable against a certain team like Liverpool he's not fit and it just becomes very very frustrating but the flip side of that is it probably leads to the team that I pretty much agree with I think he will go with the lit at Center back um Maguire had a bad game against Brighton and delit should have started that game so if he goes with Maguire again it's odd because Liverpool are a very uh systematic but fluid quick energetic side and Maguire will only work if you want to play deeper and we don't really want to play that deep against Liverpool and we don't really want to be that slow to The Tackle against Liverpool so I think delit comes in with martinez we could still play a deeper line delit can play a deeper line but it also gives you that option to push up a little bit as well makes that back for stronger I can't see any reason why he wouldn't pick delit into the Midfield it will pick itself casemiro Bruno and Mayu hopefully agar is on the bench because that might be a nice option later in the game if we're chasing it or we need a little bit more in there and then the front three I think it will be rashford on the left ammad on the right and it'll have to be xery um with no Mason Mount I I can't see any option there I mean if Scott momy was here he might have tried him for a bit of legs Erikson hasn't got those legs so it would have to be um it would have to be xery um a lot of people will say well well why why is gacho not starting again well that is a big question I mean that was my problem last week it was one of the big things I said before the game kicked off against Brighton that gacho should be starting and I don't really understand why he's become a bench player again when he's our best Winger in my opinion but Ahmad scored last week so he has to start you're not going to drop Ahmad when he actually played well and as we know ten hog has this rashford Obsession where I think he will pick him what I will say is if tenh hard goes with rashford the the big problem will be is that Trent Alexander Arnold is one of Liverpool's best assets and whatever that game was I was talking about last season there was a few there was a few to be fair but the reason I mentioned it at the start of the video was that it happened last season there was a game it might have been Arsenal actually I don't know who it was but there was a game a good game where we were playing well we were winning so it was a rarity last season and rashford just left his right winger his right back and they ended up equalizing and that was the end of that um he can't do that he he simply cannot do that if he if if he if he's picking rashford then rashford's got to put in the shift of his life like you you cannot leave Trent Alexander Arnold you've got to go with him and that's probably why I would go with Gano as well because think gacho and Amar do work very hard because they're younger and they get it um and if you go with an Anthony and a rashford I think that they won't do that but they've got to work hard whoever's playing on the wings has got to work hard because Robertson and Trent are masters of getting forward and supporting Liverpool attacks and overloading and we he's just got to go with him whatever he does would I go with that team um well be interesting to see what you put in the comments because I would go with that team apart from gacho for rashford don't think there's anything else you can do we don't have a left back look I don't want to talk about transfers we're to talk about Liverpool but I think when matches come that conversation about a left back becomes even more of a harsh reality like we're playing d low at left back against Mo Salah this is the highest level of English football this is the Premier League this is our biggest game of the season at Old Trafford it is Liverpool but there will be plenty of games like this where you look at left back and you go well that's a weakness that Liverpool can exploit oh that's a weakness that Arsenal can exploit that's a weakness that Spurs can exploit and and it is Delow may have the game of his life but he's not a left back and this is the problem we we have not solved that problem because we're putting Square pegs in round holes again and I thought Delo played quite well against Brighton but it's not his natural position and it's a get out if he has a bad game well that's not his position and and that falls back on the club on the manager as to why we've left that potential weak spot there and of course which just mentioned rashford if rashford's not tracking back and you've got a left back who's not a left back we're very weak down that right hand side which oh just so happens to be Liverpool's strongest part of the pitch Trent and Salah so that side of the pitch needs to lock down and uh it could be an area where we uh we have to you know really focus in on um but I'd start gacho as I said why do I think man united will win this game look I've seen both of Liverpool's games this season and um I'm not surprised I did a video on that football about Aros slot and why I think he'll slot in nicely and many people will go well how can he fit in after two games and it's taken 10 AR two years and he's still got no style of play because it's about what you walk into isn't it if somebody says there's a plot of land build a mansion and you haven't got a lot of money I'm still building it two years later but if somebody says here's a mansion it's amazing just run it well you just got to walk in and work with it and that's what slot's done I like slot I think he's a good coach I think ten Hog's a good coach but what they've been presented with are completely different it's like giving ten hog a green dress and giving slot a yellow dress and saying why is his dress yellow why is yours not yellow because it's green it's a very different um situation um what I will say is though it is year three ten hog needs to deliver but what Arna slots walked into is a team that klopp was building one of the greatest managers that's ever been in the Premier League that was very good and was obviously going to get better this year I mean he's not even had to do any signings I know K is coming but they didn't desperately need anybody the the system was there the players were there and they're a threat and um if Liverpool beat us on Sunday then I think there'll be a threat for the title honestly I do because I think nine from nine is is title winning form isn't it so that's what we're up against looking at Liverpool over the last two games um look honestly one- nil up against brenford last week for about half an hour brenford were probing and then Liverpool got that second goal and killed the game I switch first half didn't look like Liverpool were going to score but slot at halim obviously gave them a kick up the ass and they went up a gear they're still learning their way under slot is what I'm saying and it might not be a bad time to play them if we can up our game they will want the ball but they will give up chances I looked at the brenford game and uh brenford had eight shots at anfield two On Target uh ipswitch had seven shots uh at Portman Road Two On Target so look if you can get eight nine 10 shots against Liverpool Old Trafford three or four On Target we've got to be taking those chances if we score two goals I don't I don't see us losing that game I really don't I know last season you'd say well we could still lose 5-2 but I think defensively we're better and I think if we can create those chances at Old Trafford which we should do then I can see as getting a couple of goals and then it's all about the defense now looking at Liverpool 19 shots against brenford eight on target 18 shots against ipswitch five on T Target they're averaging 10 Corners a game that is significant that is where the challenge is in this game because if Liverpool averaging around 18 shots a game and 10 Corners already we are averaging about 12 shots a game and four corners so that just shows you how much attacking Liverpool are doing compared to us so defensively we've we've got to pin it down now how's our defense been doing remember I said that Liverpool have been averaging about seven shots against them per game we're averaging 12 shots against per game so Liverpool way less shots against them they've not conceded a goal this season and more shots on goal against the opposition than us as well so we've got to we've got to we've got to score our chances which is something we've not been doing that well in the first two games we've got to stop conceding chances uh and that will be the challenge and that is why I think how he sets his Midfield up is really really important because we've got to stop them getting near our goal now I just wonder whether he's going to be brave if he plays the and he pushes the defensive line high and he gets a on the edge of his box and we sort of engage Liverpool in the you know higher up the pitch does that lead to less chances for Liverpool and a better game for us or or do you do something with we've done for years which is maybe just drop off a little bit let them have the ball prevent maybe two three lines of shield and just say look try and play through us and then we're going to hit you on the break with Pace he's probably going to go with the latter because it's what the the players know and arguably some people would say suits rashford ammad Bruno Mayu casmiro because it's less energetic and they're used to that sort of you know counterattacking football but there is an argument to say well no let's engage them higher up the pitch let's let them try and play the ball in behind because we've got a sweeper keeper because that is something about the slot system that is you know is definite like he wants his double pivot in the Midfield he wants to play through the Midfield but if it's not on a longer pass to ad Diaz and a Salah will be looked at Over the Top If we're aware of that and we've got the pace to cover it and we've got a sweeper keeper then you know it's brave but I think we need something Brave on Sunday I really do I don't think we can go into the Liverpool game well look the most important thing is to go into Liverpool game and win it but I don't think we can go into that Liverpool game and just play badly and win it I think we we've got to it's a risk isn't it if you play badly and win there's an element of luck to it and and the chances of us playing badly and winning are a lot smaller than playing well and winning and I think to play well we do need to engage them higher up the pitch and we do need to build upon some of the patterns of play that I have seen against Fulham and Brighton at times there's been some really good patterns of play you know delicate triangles squares you know little five yard passes very quickly we have done that so you know it's Liverpool every player in that starting lineup and bench should have that in them this is Liverpool in front of 75,000 of our own fans on a Sunday afternoon it's super Sunday we need to bounce back what why not go and express yourselves why not go into that game get something really positive and then have an international break of Buzz rather than you know the normal lethargic performance where it takes us 20 minutes to get going you know can we can we bring something back that's been missing for what feels like 15 years well no not that long but you know what I mean like under Sir Alex it was that first 10 minutes where the crowd before the game are already bubbling and then you just turn up that heat and they're absolutely going for it um can we do that can we make it a bit intimidating and I think those are things that you've got to look to do um I think too many of our players sometimes start a game very uncertain you know that they're worried about their first touch their first tackle their first pass and actually we need to start bringing this leadership Unity thing back because it doesn't matter if your first pass is bad if you go back and win it and get a tackle in or something like that it's not always about your first pass being perfect or your first cross being perfect it's about the intensity that you set as an individual that collectively spreads through the team and that's something we really really do miss and against Liverpool look what I don't want to see with Liverpool because they're a good side is then wandering into Old Trafford as favorites and in the first 15 minutes dictating the play while we sit deep and Chase the ball it's Old Trafford it's Manchester United We already accept that yes there are still players to come into this team like Rasmus aarte Yo's got a come back we haven't got a left back accept that but it's Man United against Liverpool at Old Trafford and this is year three there are no excuses this year so we need to see something more than what we've already seen under Sola Mourinho and ten hog the ability on our day to get a result against a Liverpool or a man city I mean we knocked them out the cup somehow last year we know we can do that we know we can do that that's not new we've seen that movie before we could beat Liverpool on Sunday through hard work little bit of luck bit of Counterattack we've seen all that that don't wash this year it don't wash because it's not sustainable it doesn't get you into title races and it doesn't get you into the top four we need to see Sprouts of positivity and sustainability around the way that we're actually going to play because there's no excuses around that this year so what we need to see is a defin if identifiable style of play against Liverpool that we're going to take Beyond Liverpool into the rest of this season and there's no excuses not to see that so if I see edge of the Box counterattacking football you'd sort of say well we've seen this under solar and Mourinho come on what is the point of having a delit or an agarte or or or a xery you know what is the point in having a Martinez and and a Mayu and players that can play this way let's start actually doing it because as I said from for about 20 minutes at anfield brenford were well in the game for 40 minutes against uh at Portman Road ipswitch were well in the game so let's not pretend Liverpool are in fifth gear and they're just going to blow us away we have to implement and impose every angle we can onto this game and we're capable of doing that and it's Old Trafford so I'm going to go with a I'm going to go with a reasonably confident 2-1 win for Manchester United I mean what I will say is reality that's an opinion that's a prediction if we're sat here on Sunday night having been turned over and I'm not talking sevens or fives or any of the recent nightmares if we've been turned over comprehensively 2-0 we've got a big big problem on Sunday night like that that that cannot happen that is unacceptable that cannot be happening this early in the season with the change that's gone at the club Upstairs Downstairs middle stairs everywhere we've got new players we've got new structure we've got new identity we've got new ways of doing things we cannot just whimper against Liverpool at Old Trafford we you know I've seen man united sides go to anfield when Liverpool was and they've given us a tough game it's always been a I I don't remember many games hardly any games in fact you know I think back 20 years ago when I was living in Dublin actually longer than that now I wasn't living in Dublin in 2004 um 25 years ago you know that three or four years when I lived in Dublin I remember every game at anfield where we'd all get together around um Barry or kieran's house and we'd watch it and it would be tense even though we were winning trebles and the Premier League every year for three years and Liverpool were nowhere near it it was just Man United at anfield and you'd be stood up you'd be stood up watching it wherever you were because it was intense it was stress it was they want to beat us look at that crowd and they weren't great Liverpool sides but every game even though we were the best team in the league by a long way was tough it was tough and when you won you were like that is a big three points that is in fact that's such a big three points we're definitely going to win the League this year if we can go to anfield and win we'll win the league and that's what you used to look at because even though that wasn't a good Liverpool side they give it everything I mean I remember that Champions League season where we won the treble we went to anfield in the April maybe the May 2-2 Paul in scored for them um dodgy goal um they got a dodgy goal they celebrated like they won the World Cup because that's how it meant to get a draw against us but for us it was you know it was really tough it was a really tough game and we are not that far behind Liverpool and they are not that far ahead of us they may be favorites because they're the better team over recent years but this is Man United game three at Old Trafford new Vibe around us we can't be whimpering into this game we've got to go in with confidence and start putting a marker in the sand of this is how we're going to play this is why delit in this team look at the difference with delit in the team agarte is on the bench maybe get him on this is why we've brought him into the team xerx is in the team for this mazra is in the team for this we can't buy we've got to stop buying these players and playing the same way we did under Sola like there's no point in buying a Ferrari and never getting out of second gear and we need to start seeing I'm not expecting us to blow Liverpool Away by any means but you know if we can have 20 30 minutes where we look a good team that that's good and that should
