Intro this video is going to hurt me because For the first time in my entire life I believe the Chicago Bears have a chance now I was never scared of Justin Fields I never cared about Jake Cutler not once was I ever worried about any single player that Chicago put on that mantle and said this is our savior because they were a franchise in dire need of saving and yet now I believe they are saved and this video when I break down the 2024 Chicago Bears how many games they will win and L the stats that broke out to me during my offseason research that are going to tell a tale of what this team could be the changes that they made in the offseason the sweeping changes all of that into one this one little preview video at the end of it I'm giving out my best bet for this Bears team and I can tell you right now as a Packers fan it scares me but don't worry about this logo for this will be a bias free review preview of the Chicago team because that's what this channel is all about I've done most of the NFC right now all of the AFC you can check out every other team on my page give this video a like And subscribe help the channel grow I do truly appreciate it but for now I got to bite my bottom lip plug my nose and go to Soldier Field knowing full well that this team is so much better than it ever has been let us start with the changes Offseason Changes the offseason moves that this team in that dumb GM Ryan Paul said I'm sorry no bias no no bias I promise the people that have been brought in obviously Keenan Allen the draft pick of romad dun and Caleb Williams and the rest of that draft they took a punter in the fourth no bias no bias this had some Allstar moves by Ryan poles this wide receiver cor now is fantastic and I believe romad dun he could be arguably the best wide receiver of the bunch taken in that first round and he was the third one off the board an excellent move and one that scared me the most as a Green Bay Packers Fan was Finding Caleb Williams his buddy for the future and they did that in romad dun we're going to talk about those two when I get to the stats breakdown but overall DJ Mo we paid him as much money as possible and that made sense he's worth that money but Keenan Allen brings a gravitas to this team I did not think it had a guy that can be looked upon and relied upon as the vet who has been there before even though he hasn't really won much in his career but Keenan Allen is a dude and DJ Moore on the other side with Roman dun floating somewhere in the middle Caleb Williams has the weapons needed to make this offense tick add on to that the Montes sweat move we made at the trade deadline that last year paying him the money to keep him here it's a Chicago team that now has hope and has players at key positions especially quarterback that really could make this team sing the thing that scares me though is not really who we've lost I I wasn't really a huge fan of any of the players walking out of Chicago last year the other moves didn't quite click the good meter for me I wasn't a fan of replacing Eddie Jackson with Kevin Bard a man who looked washed in Philadelphia I wasn't a fan of trading Lucas Patrick for Ryan Bates not a huge upgrade at the position for much more money bringing Gerald Evan in to take snaps away from Cole KD I know he knows the Shane Waldren offense I still wouldn't have done it but the most mindboggling to me was bringing in DeAndre Swift and paying him that much money to be the running back of this team I don't think he's even going to be the rb1 of this team with khil Herbert and Roshan Johnson on this roster and it didn't make sense to pay him the money that did he ran behind the best offensive line in the world at run blocking last year they had more yards before contact per Rush than any team in the NFL and yet if you look at his Advanced statistics they were bottoms of the league my man had terrible yards after contact terrible explosive rates terrible all over the place because that's who he is he's just a really fast dude that cannot break a tackle it's kind of a waste to be paying DeAndre Swift this money but overall you look at this roster the Chicago Bears with a QB on a rookie deal they have the 32nd highest cap hit into the QB room in the entire NFL now is the time to spend money elsewhere and where we choose to spend this money is mindboggling for it is the number one most expensive linebacker room in the NFL not Edge players mind you off the ball linebackers it is the number seventh most expensive tight end room in the world and number ninth most expensive running back room in the world over and over again we see how the NFL values those positions in free agency and the draft and arguably tight end running back and lineb backer are the least valued positions just over kicker and punter so if that's where you're going to spend this money instead of on the offensive line and defensive line I'm going to question that because normally that does not work out for NFL teams again we're building around Caleb Williams and I applaud that I just think this money should have been spent and funneled into different positions on the Three Biggest Stats roster okay let's dive into the three biggest stats that I saw in my off season research that I think are a barometer of the future of this Chicago Bears team and the first one is a common one on this channel has to do with variable stats these are things that really a team is out it's out of their control how these things bounce around and when you are so one way or the other positive or negative the next season you're likely going to come back down to the median because that's how these things normally work and for Chicago all three of these look really really good they were two- six in one score games last year they're likely going to win more one- score games this year or at least be closer to 500 in the games that they are in they were minus 20 on penalty margin last year that's terrible eao needs to fix that hopefully he will and they were minus 27 this is the biggest one on sack margin last year they need to get to the quarterback more and the offensive line needs to protect their quarterback more we're going to dive into those numbers specifically but those three stats tend to be all over the place year after year and there's no real conclusive evidence that they stay the same or similar through off Seasons here and so I believe that these will be better all three of them and that will lead to more wins Chicago's going to need a lot more wins to be a playoff team or any team of of priority this year but all three of those should be better this year they just can't be as bad as they were so let's dive into the sack numbers and the first one we're going to talk about is on the defensive side of the ball this defensive unit needs to get to the quarterback more and I understand they made the big trade montz sweat coming in at the trade deadline he's going to fix all the problems he did not because overall last year this team was 30th in pressure rate and 30th in sack rate there's only 32 teams that is not very good but even with Montes sweat if you just take the games where Montes sweat was playing in a Chicago Bear uniform they were just up to 24th so it wasn't even that much better it wasn't even in the middle of the league they need to get better at getting to the quarterback because this defensive core this defensive cornerback room is very good I'm not a huge fan of the safety Kevin Bard we already talked about it but brisker is an awesome awesome player they can cover people and the linebackers even though they're expensive are also very good but if the quarterback has all day to throw it ruins the whole thing we need to generate more pressure on the quarterback if this defense is going to succeed and now on the offensive side of the ball as we know we gave up a lot of sacks last year but as I was have been saying over and over again to Bears fans for the past few years now sacks are a quarterback stat and Justin field and his ability to or inability to see the field and how he held on to the ball longer than any other quarterback out there put so much more pressure on this offensive line that led to pressure on the quarterback and to sacks Justin Fields thankfully for Bears fans hopefully they' figured this out by now is gone he is now Pittsburgh's problem to deal with and instead you have a quarterback that knows how to pass the ball and should help this offensive line and offensive line mind you that last year ESPN their Rush Block Run block win rate and pass block win rate again not every statistic is perfect but this is one way two rate offensive linemen Chicago was top five in both of these uh categories last year and yet still gave up that many sacks because of Justin Fields now Caleb Williams in a clean pocket if this offensive line if ESPN's win rates numbers are true and this offensive line can keep a clean pocket for a good amount of time for Caleb Williams and he sees this Shane Waldren offense and dices people up to those great wide receivers there's arguably no one better to do that coming out of college because last year on USC a team that really struggled to keep him protected when he had a clean pocket Caleb Williams was third in the nation in completion percentage and Ninth in the nation in yards per attempt now ninth for Caleb Williams you draft one overall there's a million college quarterbacks playing at like two lane in Hawaii that of course are going to put up bigger numbers USC is playing a power Five schedule and Caleb's still putting up those numbers that are next to me right now if Caleb's pocket is clean we've already seen in the preseason the magic he can create by scrambling around doing crazy Dipsy do but if they can keep him upright and the plays start getting run successfully and everyone knows this offense def I truly think this kid can click man he is going to be good immediately on this team and the o line needs to stand up and and and not allow easy pressure into his face but Schedule Breakdown what does that matter the stats the offseason changes none of it matters when it comes down to wins and losses how many games is this team actually going to pull out of their asss and bring home the bacon for right now their win total is pretty high for a Chicago team that has been just putrid the past few years Vegas is projecting them at 8 and 1/2 if they go 9 and8 or better that's the over if they go 8 and N or worse that is the under right around 500 is what Vegas projects this team to be so what are they in the long run we're going to go through the schedule quarter by quarter game by game noting along the way the rest advantage or disadvantage that this team has in specific games and we're going to figure out what that final record is and then finish off with a best bet for this team and again no bias detected here none whatsoever let's dive in this is a very easy first game for Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears because I believe Tennessee is one of the worst teams in the league I have Tennessee going 2 and 15 this year however for some reason rookie QBs never win week one I don't care how special they are look at look at the past the win loss record for rookie QBs in week one is ridiculous so I have Jaden Daniels losing I have bone Nicks losing and I have Caleb Williams losing the next two games however still figh in the AFC South here both of these games are on the road Houston is a very good team and CJ St is a very good quarterback I think Chicago matches up up really well against this Houston Squad and I don't like Houston's defense at all I think Caleb Williams gets his first win on the road against CJ Str and then comes back to Indianapolis a team that I also really dislike this year but because they're playing in that prime time slot immediately going on the road they lose that day of preparation fighting an indie team that is desperate to get a win at this point on their end of the schedule I think Indie pulls this out and Chicago's 1 and2 and following it up to 1 and three when they're playing Los Angeles Rams a team that I I think specifically can do really well offensively here and it's going to be a very high-scoring game Chicago versus the Rams Caleb and Chicago get out of the Gat stumbling at 1 and three but again this schedule could not be any easier to start because we're drawing Carolina at home in week five and that team's not going to be very good this year Chicago is getting a win there before traveling to London to play the London favorites the London Jaguars and Trevor Lawrence we Face the AFC South in all four of them in the first six weeks the season I've never seen that for an NFC team before so obviously the NFL wants Caleb Williams to get eased into this schedule quite a bit however I still don't think it helps the win loss record I think Jacksonville specifically is going to be more apt to traveling to London at this point then Chicago's Walking In For the First Time a lot of these players have never made that travel that trip before Matt EO is an fing idiot so I don't really expect him to get things right on the planning of the travel I think Jacksonville is better they're going two and four heading into the B with with a losing record and yes there's question marks but I do believe this team will show enough promise that we're not burning down Soldier Field quite yet out of the by though two straight road games two teams with mobile quarterbacks but not really good rosters I think Chicago wins both of these games especially Washington with that 7-Day extra rest Advantage here we entered the buy at 2 and four we're coming out of at 4-4 heading the second half of this season at 500 hey there's the NFC North was wondering where we going to start to play our teams here first off we're beating New England we're at 5- four New England really stinks this year and then it's the Green Bay Packers the oldest rivalry in the NFL I really like this game but the problem for the Bears is the Green Bay Packers are coming off of their buy and it's going to be tough to beat Green Bay even in Soldier Field when they're well rested as they are I think Green Bay pulls this Victory out however I think Minnesota's a joke this year Chicago gets a win and then we're heading to Detroit for Thanksgiving this is a fantastic Thanksgiving Day game well done NFL and Detroit sometimes struggles on Thanksgiving they did last year I think Chicago can come in and surprise them we're stringing a few wins together here in Chicago's on a roll before heading to San Francisco the next week a very good team but you should see San Francisco's schedule we'll do their video in a a few days here feel free to like And subscribe help the channel grow if you want to see that video coming up the rest disadvantage in all of these San Francisco games I believe eight out of the 17 games they have a rest disadvantage for that game and this is one of them Chicago's coming in with an extra 3 days I think Chicago wins this one too we entered this stretch at 4-4 we're leaving it with a very good winning record of 8 and5 one more win to hit the over and it comes against this Minnesota team we are now nine and five before we're playing Detroit and Detroit gets their win back I do want to note this schedule part of the schedule right here is difficult because not only are we losing a day to Detroit Seattle is on Thursday that is the third game in 10 calendar days for this Chicago Squad at the end of the year bodies are t tired and beaten up and bruis this is going to be tough we hope everyone stays healthy through this stretch and I don't think Chicago beats Seattle even though it's at home I don't think Chicago beat Seattle in this game we're losing too straight we've now gone to 9 and seven before we have week 18 at Green Bay three extra days rest Green Bay I did their video yesterday you can see what I have for their record and what they project to be but 9 and S is on the cusp of the playoffs and this has happened the past three years now to Green Bay where their final game is against a divisional rival and it is big uh pressure should one of the teams lose and one of the teams win they're in the playoffs or out of the playoffs I think this is a de facto elimination game for Chicago heading into this one and I think Chicago pulls it off I think in the first year of Caleb Williams it's a very tough stretch a tough start even though it's an easy schedule in the beginning I think we stumble out of the gates however we pick it up and figure it out hammering the finish line here and I think we end up at 10 10 and seven and are in the playoffs in fact that is my best bet is for the Chicago Bears to make the playoffs sure you can take Kaya Williams rookie of the year you can take all these other stats uh props for the receiving yards for all these great players that they have on this team overall I think this schedule is really easy for Chicago and and I'm projecting them to go two and four at the start against the AFC South which is not a good division there's a chance they could be even better than what I have projected right here I think this is pretty much a guaranteed unless there's Best Bet for 2024 Chicago Bears injuries here or unless Caleb Williams is not the man I expect him to be he's not going to be you know Patrick Mahomes right away but he will be the best quarterback Chicago has ever had on day one and I'm not that's not hyp hyperbole I think he will be the best quarterback Chicago has ever had as soon as he takes the field in week one and you're going to see it almost immediately the kid is that good I don't know if they hold up I don't know if in the playoffs they're going to be scary or good or if this kid's going to win a Super Bowl one day I have no idea but I do know Chicago is going to be good this year and 10 and seven and a playoff birth is in the cards and that's my pick tomorrow we're going into the Minnesota Vikings the worst team in the NFC North but a team when I was diving into them a lot better than I expected that comes tomorrow and we'll see you then
