everything you do like if you clog the middle you got a quarterback that can um throw outside the numbers if you clog you know if you do this you got a quarterback that's when you can get prepared for a potential Mike White situation but you got a limited quarterback where certain things he just can't do with a Mike White you can easier you can much easier box Us in to what we we trying to do you training camp you running basic concepts just trying to see who's playing well from the basics three different defenses you know the offense running you know some of the same plays and different looks they're not giving you the full but when you got a player who played a full year and was on the active roster that's different so I ain't talk about the training camp players that got released and also if you talk about a wide receiver that's the wide receiver group be where you need to be for the quarterback it's different when you talking about the quarterback it's different that's why you don't use usually get in division trades at the quarterback position you don't usually get in division pickups and stuff like that listen you can choose to take this as light as you want to take it but why you think Buffalo went and did this now don't get me wrong they need a backup but they put them on a practice squad so stop coming in here thinking I'm saying anything about Mike White as a this is a little different Mike White serves two purposes for them because they don't have a great backup quarterback they backup quarterbacks play puton in in preseason y'all a see what they were screw you he can tell a defensive coordinator what looks Force us to go into this play or that play so for instance we might have a formation that has three different wrinkles out of it excuse me but out of all of those wrinkles if we get this certain look this is what we're gonna do everybody gonna tap that helmet because they see that look and y'all know what we gonna do it might be take a shot deep to Tyreek so what happens is is the defensive coordinator will give you that look on purpose and scheme out of it soon as you hike the ball bail out of it and switch it up on you knowing where you like to go with it that's where they'll get you with the inside information it's not knowing what's coming and hoping that you get the right read okay hike okay all right we know that this no it's knowing that I know the the Dolphins are going to change the pl to this if give them this look and that's where they get you they'll be in practice saying hey we're going to do plays out of this look so they'll give you what you think you want soon as that ball hiy whole different defense stretching out into all of those passing windows and let me tell you why that's dangerous for what we do because it's a timing spot throwing offense the ball coming anyway the ball is coming anyway that's where they get you it's easier to do it that way than to just look for the signals that the Dolphins do that was told to them no if if you give us this look this is what we're going to do out of it because McDaniel can't prepare for that McDaniel can't say if they give us that look we'll usually do this but don't do it because they could be giving you a real look he can't prepare for that and they it could be a game of Disguise coverage totally different from what they given us the whole game um well and when you watch them games against Buffalo you'll see like every time they do they go away from what they doing we get a big chunk like those games they'll dominate dominate dominate dominate this roster actually is not better than the one from last year and even if we had everybody healthy at best it would be slightly under the same this is not a better roster than last year overall I thought it would be but it is not it is not still a good roster still should be a a competitor still should be a contender but it is not a better roster than last year just is it [Music] um all downgrades in one year um older uh do you like our linebackers um I'm not going to say I like our linebackers but I will say that is the one unit that it has [Music] improved that is the one unit that has improved so yeah I like them any Improvement that's that's all I've ever wanted any Improvement I'll Always Love oine regressed wide receiving core some could argue regressed or stayed the same now you just got Wad and Tyreek still a little banged up in the back end of it you don't even know what to call it anymore berio's getting older and everybody else younger that have no experience against NFL ones in the secondary so I Kan say the receiving room better it's the same at best if not a little bit weaker until Tyreek and W really 100% running back room improved slightly moer gets older but he ain't loseing a step so you can't minus any points a chain more experience should be even better adding Jaylen right a nice boost Jeff Wilson know what's going on with that but anyway tight end room a little better you know I gotta see how this johu thing works out I gotta see how that works out dine as a whole regressed Christian Wilkins Alone regressed um and they're trying to make it up by committee regression uh cornerbacks I'm going to say regressed Fuller is like a xaven Howard to me but he gives up more touchdowns um Ramsay's getting a little older I'm keep my eye on that but he's still at a high level wash from last year [Music] um losing Nick Needum is interesting to me I understand he keeps getting banged up but I don't like any of these guys over him to be quite honest with you we'll see what they look like when they play against number one receivers and and number two receivers in this NFL all we've done is look at them play against threes and fours all camp and then we judging it off of that let's see how they look when when Justin Jefferson and guys like that well we a G play the Vikings but you know what I mean we'll see how they look then Garrett Wilson and Mike Mike Williams Come come to town you know when you got all those guys we'll see how it looks then um safety based off a weaver system to me it's a wash we play a lot of Rober we play a lot of you know um roaming you know those guys switch it up sometimes at the line of it's It's exotic it's really exotic you're going to see some in interesting looks but I feel like we're so young in the secondary that guys are going to forget their assignments on occasions and we're going to pay for it linebacker upgrade nickel I'll keep it the same but I feel like with need them would have had the right amount of depth nice in that area so overall I don't think this roster is better than it was last year it's right under it UM quarterback slightly better hopefully um because I gotta take two as the same until I see otherwise but for Mike McDaniel to Rave about Skyler T have making an improvement that's a good sign that he beat the um quarterback battle over Mike White because we know what Mike White is so that's a good sign but I can't put much stock into it so barely improved in the quarterback room and we'll bring another quarterback in I think we we do bring another quarterback in just got to see when well at least I think we are TD why do you think chop listed at linebacker instead of dline uh we run a three you got to understand the system that we run all right um remember your defensive tackles you know they play you know you got your true um dette your nose tackle then you got your defensive tackles on the outside that are actually in our system called defensive ends and then you have your linebackers the outside that's the new way of the NFL now with the flex guys the guys that Rush the quarterback but they also drop back in the pass Jaylen Phillips um chop Robinson muhamed Kamar those guys are going to be playing that role you know they'll be dropping back in the coverage sometimes so they're considered a linebacker the way it's listed today in the NFL they're not three down hands in the dirt pass rushers on the edge defensive ends they're outside linebackers that Rush the quarterback as well that pretty much Rush the quarterback but at any point they they can be you utilized in coverage so that's why he's not listed that way same reason Jaylen Phillips not listed that way Jaylen Phillips is listed as a linebacker so yeah I'm be honest with you I would be fighting that though too if I'm these guys because the league gets away with it by paying them less or franchise tag being less at the linebacker spot versus The Edge Edge gets paid typically a lot more than the outside linebacker so but that market should change soon when you get Michael Parsons and guys like that set in the market um it'll help out because I think Michael Parson's even listed as the outside linebacker because he plays the same role all right I really hope that Mike White has to play weak too listen it's not even about that it's about us scoring y'all think when we lose the problem is our defense y'all can keep on living in that fallacy all you want the problem with us whenever we play good teams is the fact that we can't score we can't score that's our issue go look at when we lose we can't score we always want to look at the defense all the defense all the defense no in those games we can't score we love pointing the finger at the defense we can't get off the field NE yeah defense on the field 40 40 minutes of a 60 Minute game stay that's that's the issue man we can't score and we gotta stop settling for field goals when we do score against the good teams y'all think it's a joke when I always bring up that Cowboys game five field goals unacceptable we were lucky to win that Cowboys game they turned it over in the red zone three times Well twice the third time they should have kicked the field goal but they decided to go for it before halftime and they got tackled at the one yard line and missed out yeah I mean do you realize how fortunate we was in the Dallas game they screw their own CES three times in scoring distance all they had to do is choose one of them times to kick the field goal that was right there for him and they won it's hard to win when you give up 30 let alone 40 hey I agree I agree but our defense doesn't give up 40 like that in all them games we lost we gave us some points but when we played the Chiefs we would giving up over 30 twice the offense was helping the other teams um offense our offense was messing up giving the other teams opportunities to score our defense was outside of the of the like Ravens our defense wasn't just completely trash against everybody you you got to do what you did to the Chargers every week if necessary you give up 33 score 35 but their defense was worse than the NFL last year and that's why we did that but that shows you our offense only capitalizes on weak defenses the defenses that play scared and giving cushion and open zones we will murder any team that does that any team that gives us resistance and makes it hard it's tough see this is what y'all have to understand I keep trying to explain to y'all how this works pre- snap when Tua sees 10 yard cushion and Zone coverage he has zero fear I'm gonna put it in the spot and we just mosy down the field but when Tu sees a guy manto Man Press coverage and there's a single high safety oh well I'm just going to throw it deep to Tyreek because we we got one-on-one the safety can't get over there quick enough oh I know it's all good yep yep I know it to do pre- snap but when you get too high manto man across the board with less than five yard cushion now Tua ain't got a pre- snap read he don't have a pre- snap read he might have a a guy that hey hopefully he beat his battle there ain't no pre- snap read everybody man across the board with safety help let's see who could break loose hike I'mma look for my playmaker first I can't just put it in the spot I gotta see oh I passed that window now disaster comes and what y'all fail to realize is All Season 70% of the time teams didn't do that so it's just easy 70% of the time I can already know when I'm going to go those games and we don't look good at all in those games this is why I try to tell y'all sometimes stop thinking when we were going through all them high-scoring games and the offense was Unstoppable I kept telling y'all stop getting excited we aren't doing this it's what they're not doing oh you're trying to take credit from us okay wait till we play one of these good teams let's see how much credit I'm taking away then you see why can't we even get a first down because I kept trying to tell you it's not what we're doing it's what they are not doing I'm sitting here calling the games every Sunday all right we got Zone coverage on this let's see if Tua sees it the slot receiver uncovered he might hit him in the seam or get that underneath Crosser and sure enough at least 70% of the time I'm calling to play before it even snaps we gotta change that this year McDaniel needs to be able to scheme Guys open in those situations Tu got to be able to take that next step go through his re be able to move in the pocket Escape pressure improvise where necessary and make play it has to happen it has to and the last thing we gotta stop cutting off half of the field t look to the right working all the action over here it's a wide open guy over there but we will never know because 80% of our play Passing plays we cut off half the field we don't even care what's going on on the other side TD week before and big games to get used to the cold here's the reality ladies and gentlemen there is no getting used to the cold there is no showing up two days early to get used to the cold them guys gonna be inside the hotel staying warm to begin with see we're the type of guys that you bring them three days early to get used to the cold and you practice out in the cold you gonna have 15% of the team coughing and sick by game day it's just the reality sweating with coldness from practice you going them guys going them guys literally gonna be sick on game day there is no getting used to the cold when you when you're living in Florida and South Florida to be exact your blood conforms to that's who you are now you are sunshine State man and it's in your blood at that point you get you get a good two to three months of constant work in it your blood has officially transformed and it and it relies on that heat to give you energy soon as you go in cold weather your blood flows slower and it just starts saying hey chill chill now we ain't got the energy we need our good old son come on now oh why you got us running harder than we need to your body everything said what are you doing we trying to protect ourself it's cold and you out here running man hey hey brain shut them down a little bit up there and that's why you got people on the sideline not getting pumped like you they thinking about how they gonna stay warm your body working against you and let me tell y'all something y'all think it's that 10 degrees 20 degrees 30 degrees y'all think that that's all it is why you think we struggling 40° weather 50° weather anything below 60 and you got that florid of blood in you anything below 60 your body change it may not change as much but it is altered today it's 60 degrees oh they chilly out there but they you could play better and you could do more but it's still impacting you and luckily when we get them 60 degree games and them 50 degree games we ain't got no hard competition luckily but once you get in them 40s Floridians is a WAP you think you in Antarctica you trying to protect your life your body think your life being threatened man remember y'all gotta remember these guys out there running full speed and sweating your pores open them glands I'm telling you your body is just opening and it nope your body telling you stop that mess you you trying to let things in that we don't want in it is cold out there you sweating and within your sweat there are particles that we don't want in our body and you're letting them in and plus it's cold man we gonna give you something to shut down your own body will make you sick that's how it work so ain't no preparing for it so ladies and gentlemen I'm GNA say this before I leave here's the key and
