[Music] what is up 49er fifth welcome back to another 49er media video and today we're going to be talking about Christian McCaffrey's calf injury Trent Williams holding out and the 49ers restructuring defense tackle Malik Collins let's actually get started right there as San Francisco 49ers restructured the contract of defensive tackle Malik Collins which creates roughly $ 5.43 to million salary cap so the 49ers have the most cap space now in the league at around $50 million you know shout out to Malik Collins first of all for taking that picka um and so how does this help the 49ers well Trent Williams is no longer holding out as he's expected to be uh going to the 49ers facility and get the deal done uh now think it should be super complicated because the main reason Trent Williams has been happy is his contracts non guaranteed and he wanted more guaranteed money in his contract so the 49ers are probably just going to take some of that money especially on that thir year which has a huge capit I believe it's like 33 million uh so they'll take probably some of that money and um put it into this year and the next year as well um which would also decrease the capit for that thiry year you know Trent Williams this might be his last season uh so makes a lot of sense that he wants that guaranteed money you knocking on W if something were to happen um you know he wants that last paycheck uh before he retires probably soon and also he's technically underpaid when it comes to the market for left tackles and just offens tackles in general so I totally understand it because he's still playing at a very high level still the best tackle in the game type of level there so I definitely understand that I'm interested to see exactly what the deal will be once it actually happens and you know what the capets and stuff like that which that probably will clear up some cap space as well for the San Francisco 49ers which that's helped create caps space with the CMC extension they did earlier this off season then the most recent Brandon auk extension so that cleared up some cat space so I think at Trent Williams you know deal free doing his deal should also clear up some decent amount of cap space uh but when it comes to Chris mcaffrey now as we know he's been dealing with the calf injury which has held him out of all the preseason games I don't think we would have sen them in preseason anyways um and you know been kind of on and off with the practicing mostly on the sideline you know practicing and rehabbing from the calf but it sounds like chrisan mcaffry is going to be back at practice today according to Adam schfer so that is fantastic news for Christian McCaffrey he even said it that like if the pre-season games were regular season games he would be playing so uh that is great news with the San Francisco 49ers with chrish mcaffrey a lot of positive news coming out of this uh day today with Trent Williams Christian mcaffrey and the restructure of Malik Collins make sure to hit that red subscribe button help us continue to grow here over on 49er media would really appreciate it if you hit that like button as it helps out with the algorithm to get our Channel out there even more and again hitting that sub button helps helps me had a ton and also if you turn the notification Bell on you'll never miss any of these updates in future live streams and videos but that's going to do it guys peace out and let's go ners
