[Music] welcome to Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego California home to the Aztecs of San Diego State being in San Diego is never a bad thing and it's even better when you have a matchup like this one and boy do we have a fun one ahead top 10 team Target on their back going on their Road and right into the snake pin as we'll see the number two team in the country the Oklahoma State Cowboys taking on a squad hoping to prevent another L this week the San Diego State Aztec for EA Sports college football ree Davis with you alongside David Pollock and Jesse Palmer and guys can't wait to get this one started the Aztec will put total weather and we'll get started fielded in the end zone it's Andrew really disciplined job by the Comfort unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 [Music] first first down here for the [Applause] offense leaves it with the back finds a little bit of space gets three to the 22 really important for a ranked team going into a hostile environment like this one not to give the underdog reason to believe yes reason to believe and don't give the fans reason to get jacked up and excited come out early be in a business mode mindset you got to start fast you got to have a sense of urgency you cannot come sleepwalking into an environment like this because if you do and you make some mistakes this crowd will pounce on you and sees momentum you want to settle everybody in on the road you want to take the nerves away run the football really really good job the offensive line they're physical and nasty they're not nervous they're not worried about this crowd getting loud they just want to hit you right in the mouth and they started the game off with some good physicality using his legs it's Gordon a most efficient pick up of six on first down it's second and four I know it's sexy to throw the football but if you can pound it away and get these kind of gains they will just add up wear the defense down get first downs and ultimately get some points out of the gun the give to the back a run up the middle is stopped for No Gain great job at contained by this defense and in order to do that the end man on the line of scrimmage defensively has got to be able to set the point and force the football back into traffic that's exactly what happened they'll go to the ground they convert on third down as he gets it to the 46 yd line it's a really good sign if you're on offense here you're putting it on your offensive line on third down critical down and distance opening drive of the game let those guys fire off get a hat on a hat you can run the ball pick up the first you're around Midfield and all things looking pretty good here early for this offense really good surge for this offense they move the change and he's got it at the 34 I think it's really important for this offense they get this guy going early in the game and they're doing a nice job of that right now remember he's the kind of running back who gets better as the game goes on that's a really good omen for this offense considering his success now early and he takes it all the way they couldn't stop him touchdown Oklahoma State you want to talk about a great way to start the game and set the tone early it's so nice to have a quarterback just get himself into the game get himself established you make it C throws you lead your offense down the field you score right off the bat could not have been a better start for that QB that ball skips through the end zone it's a Touchback and they'll take over at the 25 yd [Music] line first down for this offense [Music] [Applause] here's the handoff finds Zach PR and he's got four out to the 29 you know it's so important for offenses to want to keep third Downs manageable the way you do that is by having success like that running the football on first down solid pick up of four on first down it's second and six he's got it again smashes through defense close down quickly after a gain of three they'll mark it at the 32 you know I think a big part of this isn't necessarily scoring a touchdown on that plate but you're just trying to get your offensive line in the rhythm of the game let those Big Fellas get lathered up to the air it's Duffy slings it he's open on the right and a pick up of better than 30 yards on that completion before the defense brings him down I know it's early in the game but defensively after that play you know you have to tackle the catch when this guy gets the ball in his hands he is so dangerous after the fact so it's okay for him to make catches you just got to get him to the ground quickly the give to the back he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple you know when you're playing against a defense of this caliber you're going to have to have some sort of balance right you can't just drop back and throw at every single play nothing going on that last run they're going to have to find another way to get it going handing the ball off ready after losing a couple on that last play here's second and 12 here we go he's looking to throw going to try to pop one on the screen and maybe he'll get back to the line of scrimmage but no more than that and the screen seemed like a good idea at the time but they were fortunate to get back to the line of scrimmage yeah on defense I think it just comes down to having really really good awareness you're watching the ball you're seeing where it's going you're locating blockers and then defeating those blocks getting to the football the receivers telling the quarterback what they see third and long and he'll try to throw for it gets it out quickly and he's not going to get there the defense Stands Tall and makes the stop they didn't quite get that route run deep enough to pick up the first down now they've got a fourth and short and I think everybody at home tends to yell at their television set why aren't you getting past the first down marker why did you run your route short defense did a good job knowing where that was but now fourth down offense has to make a decision and the field goal unit will stay put as the head coach decides to go for it on fourth down and he'll step out of bounds after a very productive play they were easily within field goal range there but they don't feel like you can win this game three points at a time no pass I mean you got to be aggressive you got to get touchdowns man that's you've seen the emphasis defenses are willing to give up yards now to make you kick field goals I like this offense being aggressive forget the threes we need sixes cut cut cut they'll run it out of the shotgun he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple as a quarterback you've got to know in this area of the field it's tough to throw right the windows they open and close so quickly when you get down to the red zone and what helps you is running the football but that's tough today cuz you're going up against one of the top 25 defenses stopping the run hit a little speed bump on this drive it's second and 12 dropping back it's [Applause] Duffy flushed out of the pocket he's got it in the end zone touchdown azex and what did I start for this offense the throw game getting working getting the touchdown pass this quarterback getting a little bit of confidence this passing game getting into Rhythm nice start for this offense and he splits the uprights on the extra point so they put together a npl 75 yd drive and the score comes on a 17 yd throw for the touchdown fielded In The End Zone it's Andrews gets it across the 20 to the 21 and not quite what he would have picked up just taking the touch back Oklahoma state has it back and the offense is on the field now they need to put something together to answer that last score there's a lot of pressure too on this offense to have to execute at a high level they've got to score points David but they can't go too fast cuz their defense right now is tied and I think that's the difficulty being a play call like I have to balance all of those things my defense is a little bit tired I can't put on the field but I got to be aggressive because this is a back and forth type game so a lot to process and think about just a short pass to the tight end they make the stop but the sweet rolling catches plenty to give him a first down well I know the tight end did some good things after the catch but got to give the quarterback credit too for the location of the throw because he put it out in front of his big man he was able to make the catch and accelerate creating some distance there between him and the defense the G out of the gun hard running there and he fights his way forward gets away from from one but not much doing on that one that's a great individual play and I love cornerbacks that don't just take pride in covering guys I like guys that like to put their face in the fan and affect the running game this dude is physical and he impacts the defense because of that and those guys are really hard to find a lot of Corners they're smaller they don't want any part of the physical run game nice job he wants to take the top off and he's got it inside the 35 way and they get him down at the 30 That's What's So Scary About This offense they've got guys in the perimeter that can change the game in one single play and you saw it right there too much speed on the perimeter to create that explosive play that's the end of the first with the score TI 7 to S they'll break the seal on this quarter here on first down we they think they can create face here with the run to the right coaches always harp about staying ahead of the chains and when you can run with that type of efficiency on first down man you are doing just that got six on first down now a lot of options on second and [Applause] four5 from the gun leaves it on the inside with the back able to make the stop after a gain of two to the 2 two and offenses want to continue to feature the Run they want balance even if it's not super successful you can take it little bit at a time just to keep that defense on musing ahead on Third and short the Cowboys pick up the first down nice job by this offense converting the third down listen third and short they know you're going to run the football and they still did a great job being physical third Downs has been such a struggle for this offense bottom 50 one of the worst in college football nice job on that play on the run it's [Applause] Gordon and he found plenty of Running Room on that one before the defense was finally able to get him down well it just seems like everything is working for the offense on this drive another nice gain this time on the ground and the Cowboys have it in scoring position position on first and [Applause] goal got it behind the line it's Presley they've got it down to the three yd line really well done on that throwing catch they're trying to throw the wide receiver screen to pick up that first down but the defense just too much speed getting to the ball carry on that one he've got it down to the three now it's second and goal wide receiver coming across in motion trying to barge in and and he takes it to the house touchdown Cowboys Oklahoma that touchdown was a clinic and keeping your offense on the field and wearing the other defense out sometimes your best defense is your own offense being able to stay on the field you're absolutely right ree that was a clinic running the ball playing at Great Rhythm and Pace Q be making good smart decisions and not shooting yourselves in the foot no penalties no turn turnovers it doesn't get any better than that last Drive San Diego State takes over as the offense is ready to go to work after standing on the sideline and watching that long touchdown Drive they really need to put something together to give their defense a rest and that's a real thing man like you played a lot of plays you get worn out you need a chance to go decompress on the sideline get some oxygen Palmer now it's on this offense yeah this is the definition of complimentary football cuz it's a two-prong problem you've got to score points and answer but you've also got to take your time and give your defense an opportunity to get their win from the gun the running back has it didn't get a whole lot of room to run he picked up one or two they're strong and they're SC defensive tackles they're strong there's such big jokers in the Middle where they just lock out those offensive linemen and running backs listen they don't have much of a chance when you got that 300 plus pound guy grabbing you around the shoulder pad you tend to go to and he can't escape and down he goes I think a big part of the formula to this team's success is their ability to get after the quarterback in game one they had six sacks and obviously won that football game they know coming into this one today they have got to be able to get after the quarterback and they're off to a great start on Third and long he'll need to loosen up that arm he's going to run running and he tried to make something happen with his feet but they stopped him short and it'll bring up a fourth down I know he didn't pick up the first down but man he makes this fourth down way more manageable it's tough when you got fourth in Africa did a great job of making this manageable and keeping the Playbook open and the returner goes down and the Oklahoma State offense will take over first and 10 Oklahoma State hoping to get the pistols firing on offense Jesse a very productive Drive last time wound up with a touchdown yeah mixing and matching play calling really well nice balance on that last one Dave we'll see what they can do here in this next Drive yeah and I don't expect anything different when you put together a drive like that I would do more of the same keep the pace keep it going on second down will they go back to the ground [Applause] game looking for a physical attack from the gun gets it out to the 38 yd line after picking up 10 on that one when you're on offense you see so much of this nowadays you see misdirection you see somebody flying across the formation why to get the eyeballs of those linebackers to get them to move out of a gap one space Works to Perfection here that's why they break off the big gain on offense it's first and 10 from the 38 yd line let's go wide receiver shows motion from the gun running back on the move and he does a really nice job finding open space and making a good gain before the stop is made you want to talk about making it easy for an offensive coordinator you pick up a bunch of yards on first down make that second down really really manageable that's a great job by the offense they'll try the run really nice stop there from this senior leader man that D tackle is a freak athlete did you see him come out of his stance and beat the offensive lineman getting to the running back catlike quickness now on third down for this offense they'll try to pick it up on the ground that'll get the job done and move the chains and they'll Mark the ball at the 45 he's pil up 87 yds on the ground and that's just another routine day for this guy who's been among the nation's leaders in rushing all season long first down here with time for maybe one more play until the two-minute warning we've reach the two-minute warning and we'll see if the offense can build on this lead before the break got it the Cowboys are flying down the field looking for space it's Gordon they are on the move down to the 32 and they pick up another first down this is a guy that gets stronger and stronger as the game goes on after that last run he's already now got a 100 yards rushing and the Cowboys have it with a first and 10 motion from the [Applause] offense an excellent Vision to find Running Room there and make a really good pick up before the defense put a stop to it they're down to the 20 first and 10 trying to C this drive with a pass and the timing just a hair off I think as a quarterback you get in your mind before the snap a lot of times where you're going with the football and sometimes you lock on it a little bit too long and right there I think he did he'd probably want that throw back now on second down after the incompletion the give to the back and they'll wrestle him to the ground after a short gain there's a Timeout on the field tight game here late in the first half this offensive line better figure out a plan for for this deep tackle he is tough to block with one guy you might want to start double teaming him he's going to be a problem moving forward you saw all of his ability on that last they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this [Applause] one oh they really could have used that catch their physical pass defense it brings up a fourth down they'll play it safe and try for three the kicker will reach for a 30 6yd attempt that is no good and the margin is still seven after the Miss guys the Aztec offense ready to go back to work that last Drive won't go on the Highlight Reel after ending in a punt they'd like to be more productive this time David and I think this offense has to be a little bit more balanced find a little balance between the Run Jesse and working in that pass and that defense gets to him and down he goes at the nine on the brings up second they're trying to dig out of the hole on second and long from the nine back to throw it's Duffy quickly complete they make the stop but not before he takes a chunk out of what they need to move the sticks the defense going to stop the clock with the timeout they want to make sure they have everybody on the same page okay ready not exactly the ideal situation for this offense third and long backed up inside their [Applause] 20 wide out in motion they weren't able to get that one off it'll be a delay of game there's a difference between being methodical and thorough and slow they were slow they got the flag you make up the game plan and not a lot on the play sheet for this third and long from inside their own 20 looking to throw and he needs a bunch he puts a lot of air under it down the sideline it's caught and what a job to get the foot down and make it a huge gain along the sidelines and that's why this guy's complete running back he's good between the tackles he can pass block but he can also run routes and we're not just talking about screens or swing routes this guy gets vertical down the field and he can run the route Tri they'll throw it on first [Applause] down with the catch it's Shaw he will step out of bounds but not before the big pickup and a first down for this offense and you see so many smart wide receivers so many smart tight ends nowaday that they know where the holes in those zones are and they work with their quarterback and they find them and they sit down in them and make big plays it's tough to sit back in zone against such smart player that and he goes out of bounds after coming up with positive yardage there I'll tell you I know they're losing the game it's only the first half but this offense obviously they've spent some time practicing two minute uh throughout the week you can see they're really in Rhythm they're really in focus and they're attacking the right areas of the field in order to try to maintain as much block as possible quick strike complete knock down after a short game but enough to move those chains there's a timeout called as this offense tries to find a way to draw a little closer got it down to the 23 for this first and 10 we a little pre- snap eye candy for the defense flips it out to the back and there were no creases or crevices to run through and they shove him out of bounds this defense is going to have to be careful not only do they have to worry about this guy running the football but they've got to keep their eye on him when he runs routes too he is a versatile bat and the Aztec look to do some damage in the Red Zone quarterback checking off wide receiver now comes in motion looking for a man it's Duffy good timing on the quick out and that play just looked to be a mess from the snap and he's right out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage third down coming up just a few seconds remaining here as they try to put something up before halftime on third down he'll try to pick it up through the air got it and he unleashed the RPMs on that pass man this sophomore has an arm they'll use a timeout right before halftime maybe time for one or two more plays and backed up first and goal this defense fighting to hold the lead and carry it to the locker room he'll set up to throw he can find his man and the clock stopped with 6 seconds left doesn't take this defense a lot of time to get to the quarterback man they've got speed all over the place they hit him so quickly and because of that the ball Falls incomplete on second down they'll try the field goal to get the points before halftime spits the upright is good [Applause] that late in a half field goal always gives you a little boost going to the locker room and they'll need to finish off these final few seconds and not allow them to answer oh look at Mr hands taking the squiver inside the 30 they make the Stop and that is the end of the first half that's going to wrap up the first half here and now we join Kevin with the halftime update the Cowboys will kick it away to crank up the second half number 29 to kick it away it bounds through the back of the end zone it'll be a [Applause] Touchback guys let's see what adjustments this San Diego State offense has made this time if they're going to get on top in this game they're going to have to find a way to get the running game going in the second half agree so it can create some more balance some more unpredictability I feel like this defense is got a good beat on what they're doing especially if they don't mix it up a little bit so I do look for a little second half running the football Palmer out of this group and I think the thing Dave is they just got to be more physical I don't think this is a scheme question about trying different run plays I think it's up to the Big Fellas up front they've just got to make the decision that they're going to be tougher here in the second half so that they can win this [Applause] game unloads quickly and that defense pushing him out of bounds after a short gain it's hard to have success on wide receiver screens when you're facing press man coverage because your blockers out front often times can't pick him up and that receiver gets gobbled up as soon as he catches the pass you saw it on that last play kept it on the ground on first down let's see what they do on second fast motion from the offense try to get the edge with a quick touch pass and a nice solid pick up there before the defense wrestles him to the ground well and on these little push passes timing is so important you're trying to snap it righties is getting a full head of steam when he gets the ball he's hitting the outside and David it puts the defense in such a difficult spot you immediately have to be rotating when you see that motion so everybody's got to communicate and kind of bump over that's why offenses love to run it just it makes the defense communicate and see if you can just get him out of a spot okay third down after the run they'll stick to the ground looking for the marker he'll be stopped short picks up one but they're facing fourth and one I never know if it's grammatically correct to say a team is being out physical you he a lot in football though that's happening in this game they are just not getting the push they need all game long up front to have any success when they decide to run it perhaps emboldened by converting a fourth down earlier in the game they'll try a second [Applause] time got it in the middle it's Tanner well they just drained all the suspense out of the fourth down conversion moving the chains easily how many times do you see receivers catch the ball and dance and you get so annoyed cuz you're like dude do you see the yellow line go and get it really nice job by the receiver with a second effort getting the extra yards and getting the first down looking for a gap it's Sutton they'll pick up four second and Six coming it's just so nice to know you can start off on first down with positive plays positive yards hand the football off set up a good second down [Applause] after the productive first down play it's second and six they move the tight end all over might as well stick with him he breaks a tackle finally pulled down but not before moving the change for a first down well I know this is an offensive line that has a ton of Pride and they want to come out each and every game and really impose their will on the dline they got just enough push there on that run play to pick up the [Applause] first Red Pass it's complete they stop him almost immediately short gain there and still a little ground cover pick up the first and a great job by the defense seeing it right away react to the screen going and getting the football and getting the fast playmaker on the ground going to work on second down in the red zone is still some ground to cover to pick up that first down to throw it's Duffy they're setting up the screen and they wrap him up but not before he's gotten enough for the first down I like the running back there on the route and the patience he showed really setting it up he got to the defender was able to put his foot in the ground get some separation catch it and turn up field for the [Applause] first grabbed behind the line it's Tanner oh there's the ball and the fumble is going to go out of bounds and the offense will maintain possession sometimes there's no substitute for old lady luck and having her on your side and she just guided that ball out of bounds for the offense man I think that head coach he just narrowly avoided having a heart attack you can never afford turnovers but touchdown San Diego State and that one will put him up here in the second half and this running back is so dangerous down first to the end zone he's got wiggle he's got great vision and bur he showed all of those attributes right there and the extra point puts them up by a field goal they put together a 74 yd touchdown drive and they punctuated it with a 5yd touchdown run 14 he'll bring it out it's Andrews he's got great speed got a little room can they catch him they won't get him it's a touchdown well maybe they thought if they kicked it into the end zone that he wouldn't dare bring it back instead he just dared them to tackle him and nobody could what an explosive return and those guys got so much speed they ain't scared and you can tell takes it out good blocking give him a little crease and you could see the speed you don't put slow guys back deep you don't see Jesse Palmer returning kicks no no no no you see the fast guys and you see an open space and boom he's gone guys we're about to get another look at this San Diego State offense that last touchdown Drive was surgical through the a Jesse it sure was and that's why this offense is so dangerous David because they can score in a hurry because of how efficient they are throwing the football and welcome the modern College they get enough rush and it pays off the sack of the 20 and the big defensive tackle getting off the rock nice job seeing play action understand his pass beats the guard gets to the quarterback and gets the QB on the ground dropping back it's Duffy he's right on target and they get him down the defense needs to have a plan for this guy they weren't ready for that one drag route running all the way across the field the DB just can't stay with them because of his speed and as a result they give up a big one quarterback reacting to what the D is showing from the gun on third down got it on the outside it's off he steps out of bounds but it will be enough for a first down you know as a receiver it's so critical and important to know where the sticks are he was able to modify his route so he knew as soon as he caught it he was just going to have enough to keep this drive [Applause] alive they'll leave it with him you'll take four yards on first down every time second and six small gain I know but again the defense knows he's going to run the football he's willing to run the football not just drop back back and pass make him on to the Run game you got to do a lot of [Music] [Applause] this out of the shotgun they go to the ground that's what you expect from a senior don't give them any extra yards great tackle there the big defensive tackles in the middle they're not always the best pass rushers but they are strong strong and I say Country Strong they put their hands on you you feel it they lock people out on the line of scrimmage they create separation they wrap running backs up and usually they don't get out of the midst of those big boys they have it at the 43 third and short trying to avoid making a decision on fourth down from the gun wants to pass grabbed in the middle it's brown and he'll have to check his feelings after that lick but he did get the first down well look that wasn't a touchdown but that was a massive play for this offense they needed some momentum they needed to find a rhythm in what better way than converting on third down awesome job by the quarterback get in progression and they Tred the middle of this defense and that is not happening man oh man the ball carrier was just shut down and I say what they need some push up front too right they got to move those defensive linemen out of the way at least create a hole so you're running back has a chance not there he didn't have [Applause] any looking to pass it's Duffy looking to the big tight end what a snag by the defense and they'll drag him down after a good return on the interception by Oklahoma and I tell you what when defenses Play Zone all eyes are on the quarterback you have a Zone to drop to but you're setting on the quarterback reading his eyes great job by the defense understanding the ball was coming out breaks on the football goes and makes the int and he'll pick up one it brings up second and nine he makes theack at the 47 yd line Second down coming up as they get set to snap it time winding down here in the quarter 42 spider 42 [Applause] spider that's the end of the third quarter of play Oklahoma State 21 San Diego State 17 we'll get this quarter going with a second down [Applause] play5 they'll keep it on the ground just ran over it give him 114 yds on the ground and he's been terrific All Season ranking in the top 10 in rushing when the offense can run the football and you can feature a guy like this that will get more yards in his block that you can really depend on hangs on to the football like it makes offense super easy especially down the stretch when you want to eat that clock and you want oh look out there he goes and he runs it in for the score pistols firing touchdown Cowboys that score will give him a little more room to operate here in the fourth quarter as they go for their six straight win what an explosive eruption into the End Zone by this running back and this back does it a lot that he makes big plays when you can make big plays like this it makes everybody's job easier oh we can play action oh we can throw it but it starts with a run game and this guy set everything up and they'll bring him down to get the offense started on the next [Music] Drive looking for a productive play on first down trying to start the drive with a pass got his man out of the back field and there is nothing doing on that one you got the completion and nothing else to show for it this is the moment for this offense to put a drive together it doesn't matter what's happened up to the point of this game but you're trailing right now you got to put some points up on the board he off one deep down the left side grabs it at the the 25 in stride touchdown azx and they take it in for six more points well if the momentum hadn't shifted before certainly has now it has and now you got some game pressure right that's beautiful now the defense comes out get you stopped get aggressive but the offense a little bit of pressure now cuz they know if the ball goes back to the other side they could lose this ball game almost ready to kick it away after scoring the touchdown looks as if the returner will try and field this one really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 man down on the play as the officials take a break to let him be checked out Oklahoma state has it back and the offense is on the [Applause] field power football with the run and he's a real Nowhere Man tackled in this no gain land as an offense you've got the lead you've had success running the football you hope that this play is just the blit because you know you're going to have to lean on your bcow running back to ice this game and close it out they got nothing on the last play it's second and [Applause] 10 out of the gun the running back has it he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple yeah a nice job by this defense obviously backed up against it time running out got to get the football back two good plays now third down I stay aggressive have to come after him if they decide to throw the football so be it but stay aggressive get that football back for your offense this defense has kept them backed up now one more stop and they can get off the field on Third and long right down the middle got his man they make the stop but there is a flag on the field we'll see what that's all [Applause] about the officials throw the flag but the offense won't need it they'll decline that and keep the big play as a defense you hate to let them move the chains on a penalty but that's what they did it's first and 10 the quick out and there was lots of space as he gets it to the 39 yd line you know what's interesting at this point of the game with the lead in the fourth quarter the defense is expecting them to run the ball and because they're putting so many guys close to the line of scrimmage they're taking advantage throwing it two straight completions now back to back and the Cowboys are on the [Applause] Move wide receiver coming across in motion can't get him to the ground they'll rip off eight on that play it's second and two and how good does that feel right you've got the lead in the fourth quarter the defense knows you're going to try to run the ball to ice the game and you rip off an8 yd run they know it's coming and they still can't stop [Applause] it running behind that left side he's run out out of bounds but not before turning in a big pick up and moving the sticks for a first down it's a point in the game I think as a coaching staff where you really challenge your offensive line to go win the football game right we've got to lead late we're going to run the football and the defense and everybody in the stadium knows that's what's going to happen can we run the ball down their throats and impose our will got some room headed to the goal line touchdown Oklahoma State and they add six more the bo with that trip to the house you know this offense knew coming into the season it was so important for this guy to stay healthy they needed him week in week out because he plays at such a high level and he's showing it here that last carry was his 10th rushing touchdown of the Season he'll bring it out it's Chancellor stopped at the 17 and he's probably second guessing that return [Music] San Diego State takes over as the offense is ready to go to work going up top on first down and it's incomplete if you're going to take a hit like that you might as well hang on to the ball looked like the offense had a chance for a big play there but the running back just could not reel that ball [Music] in now on second down wants to throw it's Duffy pressure coming that pass is incomplete and they might be fortunate it wasn't knock threee for a fumble it'll be third down I know that one hit the ground but you haven't seen that a lot he completed over 70% of his throws in their last game he's over 80% in this game my old offensive coordinator Shawn pton used to say bore me with completions this guy will put you to sleep on third down he drops to throw trying to get to it and the quarterback is knocked down back at the 13 and the defense there goes Zone coverage maybe confused the quarterback a little bit forced him to hold on to the football and that allowed the pass rush to get home down by multiple possessions they can't come up empty on this drive in the fourth quarter they'll go for it on ball in the air intercepted and he will roll into the end zone Z touchdown Cowboys that lead a little more comfortable now as they close in on extending this winning streak and that just might do it man offense needed points needed points badly defense comes up with the big interception takes it all the way back just to pad their lead a little bit and make this game almost almost Out Of Reach he'll bring it out it's Chancellor I know he thinks he can house every return but sometimes you just have to take a knee as he stopped at the [Music] 14 the Aztec offense ready to go back to work the big thing now don't get rattled by that last pick six David N it was a big mistake uh obviously the defense took advantage of it but you got to put it behind you Jesse I'm sure you know a thing or two about throwing a pick six and and how to rebound I believe I've only thrown one in my life but yes I do because of that singular instance I'll say this you can't let that play Beat you twice you got to go out not try to get it all back here in one play Just execute the offense turns it loose and that ball is picked off and he's wrapped up after a solid return on the pick and as a defensive lineman late in the game man when you know it's passed you're pinning your ears back trying to get to the quarterback and DBS are trying to do this pad them stats get the eye an nice job by this D great spot to start this drive for the offense wide receiver shows motion they'll run the ball the clock is on their side he got a bunch and look close to getting a lot more but he's got the first down you got to be impressed by how you've seen this offense finish in this football game they've been scoring points in the fourth quarter just got a touchdown on their last drive and there they rip off a big run they are not letting off the gas pedal right now and as a coach you love to see [Applause] that they think there's room to run to the right here they get him stopped after a two- yd game ball is at the 17 com [Applause] after picking up a couple it's second and eight [Applause] jackit here comes the option really nice stop there from this senior leader quarterbacks generally guys we know they're not as big and not as physical Runners as running backs so it is going to be trickier for them to break tackles I like the idea getting the designed quarterback run game going but moving forward let's see if we can get him out to the perimeter if they can convert here that type of play can really give you a shot of momentum pH 29 Philly we've reached a two-minute warning and this offense will be quite content just to drain the rest of the time long the give to the tail back and the defense had its hands full but they finally wrestle him down short of the first down now on fourth down they'll settle for a field goal [Applause] try it's good he could have hit a ring right in the middle of the uprights there and now the lead is extended a little F they keep pushing that lead out in the kickoff team's getting some [Applause] work he thought about bringing that out for a half second but he'll take a knee and they'll bring it to the [Music] [Applause] 25 guys let's see what adjustments this San Diego State offense has made this time not a lot of Hope here down three Poss fires into traffic intercepted intercepted by Oklahoma state and they'll take over first and 10 here comes the offense on first [Applause] down and they take a knee on fourth down having inflicted enough damage and that ought to do it [Applause] line getting set on second [Applause] down they'll take a knee as they keep draining the time off that clock now under a minute to go so with the late lead they're ready to just drain the clock in Victory [Applause] formation and they'll take a knee on fourth down happy with their performance so far and they'll turn it over in the waning [Applause] moments winning those individual sixc battles every Play Time After Time After Time After Time and that leads to a victory here and I love when teams go out and play like it's sudden death like if they lose the game their entire season is over this game wasn't for the national championship but when you wouldn't know that watching this winning team David tremendous effort and tremendous execution I love competitive people I love competitive coaches I love competitive teams that they know that their job is to go out and get a w no matter how no matter where you
