Update on how our baby boy is doing ❤️

all right so now that you've heard the birth story basically it's time to talk about the niku and how he's doing so after the birth and they got him all situated in his little thing took his weight and everything they took him to the niku in the beginning he needed oxygen uh cuz he was retracting cuz he had fluid in his lungs and everything as they were giving him o it was like oxygen and the little CPAP bubble machine thing he progressed it got a little bit better but then they were like oh well we want to give him I forgot what it was called something where they put a two down his throat into his lungs basically and they spread this medicine into his lungs to allow the fluid to come out as soon as they did that literally probably an hour or two later all of his numbers were literally perfect most of the fluid had come out cuz it would like Bubble Up out his mouth they would wipe it away or suction it or whatever he wasn't eating they wanted to give his lungs time to get all that stuff out they want all the energy in his lungs versus his stomach digesting food he's on IVs to give him all the nutrients uh that he needs to keep keep him alive and everything like that now this afternoon they took the oxygen off all of his numbers stayed the same uh normal everything's fine and then they gave him one feeding in his tube which just finished and so far so good so hopefully later today if he stays good without the oxygen we're going to try and introduce some breastfeeding the saddest thing in the world is seeing Blakeley on FaceTime with him because she literally wants to see him so bad she wanted to see him before he was even here obviously she's not allowed in the nck you because oh there she is hi Pinky
