a little bit more speed and that's the size doesn't affect it when you can't catch them all right so here we go it's our final match of the night it's 285 it's the heavyweights but it's Sam Mitchell normally the 197 wrestler for the Bulls bumping up to heavyweights winner of this match wins this dual meet John Meyers is the junior wrestler for claring against Sam Mitchell final home meet of the career for the outstanding Sam Mitchell yeah you know Samuel wants to go out on top here he wants to win his last duel and he's got his family here he's just doing everything he can for this win five wins for Clarion four wins for Buffalo but whoever gets the one win here is going to walk away Victorious and boy nothing would make Sam Mitchell happier than to pull that off in his final final match here at alumni Arena yeah I think he's going to do anything he has to everything it takes in this match just to go out on top here at home for him John Myers comes in with an 8- 10 overall record for Claren this year he is the seventh ranked heavyweight in the Mid-American Conference coming off a win by decision over Lock Haven a week [Applause] ago started his career at Sean Hill [Applause] University division two level little arm drag there for Sam he's not able to get behind and you know this could have been something that studs put into consideration I don't think Myers look like he's all of 285 so Sam he looks bigger than Sam but he doesn't he may not be like you said we're at that level of weight could just be a I'm going to say a 30 lb difference but I don't really know between Sam and Myers right no I I I think you're about right again Sam is usually wrestling at 197 so even if he had a big lunch he's still in the ballpark of about 200 lbs right yeah you know after you weigh in you might put on a couple extra pounds but they got a match this weekend these guys are making sure they keep their weight in control so Sam's a little lighter but I don't think he's worried about the weight he's just worried about a win out there and again this is where Sam has to take advantage of a little more of his quickness and maybe ability to pull some moves off that a heavyweight isn't used to seeing yeah a little more speed a little more technique but he's got to be careful on a shot you don't want to be getting stuck under someone that's a lot bigger than you like this guy is so he's got to be aware but still you know get to what he knows he's good at all right so these two two big guys fighting their way and figuring it out as we come to the tail end of the first period no points on the [Applause] board see we're coming down to our last five seconds here I think we're going to have a scoreless first period we'll see who has decision here for the all right so it is a scoreless first period looks like Myers is going to choose bottom and we'll see if Sam tries to ride him out maybe get some riding time here yep none on the board at the moment and you know this this could be one of those matches where the riding time winds up deciding it yeah especially with Myers being bigger you know he might have the weight make it really tough for Sam to stand up so Sam's got to try one Escape there's a onepoint Escape for Meyers and the lead to Clarion it all comes down to this one winner of this match at 285 is the winner of the meat kind of see Sam's having a hard time moving him around a little bit Myers is in good position Sam's digging for that underhook here Myers isn't really going forward at all he thinks Sam is struggling a little bit to to move him to to get in position for the moves that he wants to try to pull off yeah I think the size Advantage is noticeable in this one where Sam's having a tough time but there's a stalling call on Myers he's not really doing any attacks so Sam's just got to push the pace see Meers down on the ground there and the action picking up now and that's a big taked down for Meyers you can see the ref on the count there potentially locking hands there but I don't think they connected and a whistle and a point to Sam Myers one point awarded to Sam Mitchell so one point gets awarded to Mitchell yeah Myers just uses that power to kind of run through Sam there just good re attack a little [Applause] [Music] bit so that was a big move by John Meers and now one point goes to Mitchell so it's a 42 lead right now yeah we'll see if Sam's able to get a little aggressive try to go for his taked down but it's where he's got to be careful that power from the heavyweight the size Advantage they just he's got to stay in good position yeah you can kind of see right there just Sam Mitchell having a little trouble moving the bigger guy around final seconds of the second period And there's a big take down for Sam Mitchell good go behind for Sam Myers looks like he kind of goes for a low shot and just falls down and Sam takes advantage of that to get behind so Sam Mitchell puts himself in the lead and he's got this place going crazy and one more on the Escape for Sam Mitchell final period if Sam can hang on the Bulls are going to win and another Tak down yeah an attempt of a headlock there by Myers and Sam is able to kind of not so much roll through but get out of it and pop back back out on [Music] top what a sequence for Sam Mitchell kind of struggled for most of this but all of a sudden figured it out yeah it looks like Sam just kept pushing the pace a couple stall calls and I think Myers's kind of got tired and he's having a hard time getting moving down here Sam's just got to do a good tough ride and try to bring this thing home for the Bulls you know like you said the heavyweights aren't used to that kind of sustained action sometimes and maybe he just ran out of gas a little bit yeah we see if he's able to kind of build up and try to give one last fight but right now Sam's doing a really good job just pressure and a a tough ride one minute to go Sam Mitchell with the lead if he he can hang on the Bulls are going to win based on that team score you see in the upper corner one point Escape for Meyers a four-point match right now riding time's not a factor so Sam's got to be real careful he can give up a taked down but can't give up two and you can't give up back points so we'll see how we try to go about this 30 seconds to go can Sam Mitchell finish out his UB home career
