WE WANT TO KEEP AN EYE TO THE SKY, BECAUSE RAIN CHANCES ARE IN THE PLANS. THIS IS A GOOD CLUSTER OF THUNDERSTORMS NOW MOVING INTO THE METROPLEX. THEY ARE MOVING MORE SOUTHWARD, BUT TRYING TO PICK UP A LITTLE BIT. WE ARE SEEING DEVELOPMENT EAST OF THAT LINE AND WE WILL SHOW YOU THE LINAGE IS THE SECOND ON RADAR. THOSE ARE UP AT 50,000 FEET. LET'S GO TO RADAR, THERE IS THAT STALLED FRONT, PRETTY MUCH A STATIONARY FRONT ALTOGETHER. WE DID HAVE A STRAY THUNDERSTORM AND A CLUSTER OF STRONG STORMS IN HERE, AND SOME BRIEF, HEAVY RAINFALL, VERY HEAVY IN SOME OF THESE. THAT WILL BE THE MAIN THREAT I AM WATCHING FOR. TOMORROW AFTERNOON AND SUNDAY, IF YOU'RE HERE FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND VISITING FAMILY, IF YOU ARE USED TO THIS IN THE AREA, I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED TO SEE A SEVERE WARNING IN THE AFTERNOON THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. LET'S ZOOM IN ON THIS BOUNDARY. THIS LINE IS WHAT WE CALL AN OUTFLOW BOUNDARY. THAT IS RAIN COOLED DROWNED DRAFT AIR. AS SOON AS THAT RUNS INTO MORE WARM HUMID AIR, IT'S GOING TO SPARK MORE STORMS, SO EVEN THOUGH THE SUN IS SETTING IN ABOUT 40 MINUTES, IT WILL KICKOFF MORE STORMS APPROACHING WEATHERFORD NOW. YOU WILL FEEL THAT WHEN, 30 TO 40 MILES AN HOUR, A COOL GUST OF WIND. IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE IN WEATHERFORD, GET READY, IT'S GOING TO FEEL DIFFERENT. HEAVY RAINFALL NEAR BOWIE, TWO TO THREE INCHES, PRETTY CLOSE TO GETTING TO SOME LOCALIZED FLOODING CRITERIA. TAKING THE ADVANCED RADAR ON THE OUTFLOW BOUNDARY, WEATHERFORD, 7:24, 10 MINUTES OR SO, WHITE SETTLEMENT THOMAS 7:58, LAKE WORTH, 7:52. WE WILL SEE HOW THESE ALTOGETHER. I DO THINK YOU WILL GET EASTWARD DEVELOPMENT AS THESE TRENDS SOUTH. PARTS OF FORT WORTH, A COUPLE DAYS AGO, YOU SHOULD BE SEEING THIS RAIN COME IN SOON. WE WILL KEEP WATCHING THAT TOWER CAMERA. FUTURECAST, I THINK THIS MODEL DOES A GOOD JOB AS THE STATIONARY BOUNDARY MOVES THROUGH. WE WILL STILL HAVE ACTIVITY HANGING AROUND. IT DOESN'T MEAN CONSTANT RAIN ALL THE TIME, BUT IT MEANS GOOD CHANCES OF SCATTERED STORMS AND THE RADAR SHOULD LOOK HEAVIER THAN THIS. THAT IS YOUR PROJECTION THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT. SUNDAY COULD BE ON THE LITTLE HEAVIER SIDE. LOOK AT LABOR DAY, 86, NOT A TOTAL WASHOUT. DON'T CANCEL PLANS BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE RADAR HANDY. I THINK THE MOUNTINGS WILL BE THE BEST TIME TO GET OUTSIDE OF THE LAKE. PLAN FOR LABOR DAY MORNING AS OF RIGHT NOW. IN THE AFTERNOONS, THAT'S WHEN STORMS LIKE TO EAT, THEY LIKE TO EAT A LATE LUNCH OR EARLY DINNER. RAINFALL TOTALS STILL TRENDING WHERE WE SAW, ONE OR TWO INCHES, ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS DEPENDING ON THE STORMS AND WHERE THEY ARE, AND IF YOU ARE TO THE WEST, MAYBE A BETTER CHANCE. SUNDAY'S FORECAST LOOKING GOOD IN TERMS OF RAIN CHANCES, AND SOMETHING WE WILL TALK ABOUT COMING UP LATER AND ALSO AT 10:00, THE TROPICS ARE REALLY FLARING UP, INCLUDING SIGNALS THAT THE GULF COULD BE THE MAIN TARGET FOR A COUPLE OF
