pass is caught by [Music] Owens hello faithful and welcome to the 49ers plus podcast I'm Al Morell and this is your source for the most objective 49ers discussion and Analysis today we're going to be discussing High Praise for Dominic puny in his first star and injury update on Christian mcaffrey and other players the 49ers actually asking about a Raiders wide receiver during the Brandon auk Saga some roster moves and we will jump into previewing the week 2 matchup San Francisco at Minnesota 1:00 Easter Eastern Time on Fox let's get right into all 49ers discussion there's no plus content this week we'll save that hopefully for next episode so let's get right into it let's talk ners so it's been multiple podcasts where I haven't had any plus content I guess my life has been somewhat boring so nothing really to share on the TV movies um comic book or novel front but that is coming I promise you just a matter of when if it's going to be either Monday or Thursday of this upcoming week um that I'll have some non 49ers hopefully entertaining stuff to share but let's start with some high praise for rookie guard Dominic puny he was pro football focus's highest graded offensive rookie in week one coming in at a 79.1 grade now think about that highest graded offensive rookie independent of position and you can look at someone like Xavier worthy of the Chiefs had a two touchdown game kickoff night on Thursday against the Ravens puny graded out higher than him and also some other offensive linemen um that were drafted this past April who were starting whether it's from the Steelers I know they grabbed about three of them um or other teams across the league uh only allowed I believe one or two pressures and was solid uh on the right side getting to the second level double teaming players getting off of one block onto another and kept Brock pie upright was one of you know the five members 20% of the line that's what dominic puny represents who kept Brock pretty upright for the most part only two sacks against the Jets and puny was as advertised from the preseason into week one and hopefully it's something that can carry over to week two at Minnesota now injury news there was some thought online social media and even in the actual media because remember social media isn't always actual media in fact it's rarely actual media when it comes to news on anything but there was some Rumblings that the 49ers would consider injured reserve for Christian mcaffrey meaning injured reserve out for four weeks and then return and the rationale for it isn't bad the next four games are at Minnesota at the Rams at home for the Patriots at home for the Cardinals then you're at Seattle on a short week on a Thursday before you come back for the Chiefs and Cowboys at home Kyle Shanahan was asked about that point blank and he said no that was nothing ever really that crossed their mind they don't believe that this is going to be a four-week injury which historically if someone says that in Niner land you automatically know that it's probably a five or six we injury hopefully that's not the case for Christian but doesn't it feel like we is fans whether fans of the Niners or or football fans in general that were on borrowed time with Christian mcaffrey he was somewhat injury-prone his last few years in Carolina came over to San Francisco in that trade did not miss a game last season was healthy all year on route to the offensive player of the year award and this off season obviously has the calf and achilles issue which is being called calf strain and Achilles tendinitis now tendinitis is not it's a chronic condition obviously um it is something that can resolve itself with rest and whatever treatment he's getting but it is something that could have the ability to flare up the calf has the better chance of healing before the tendonitis does resting mcaffrey now and not because they're wiimal games although when you look at the schedule I think all of us to a person would agree that being at Minnesota at the Rams at home for New England and Arizona is a bit different than going to Seattle or being at home for the Chiefs and cowboys those last three games starting in week six so while you could say it's not absolutely imperative for mcaffrey to be on the field the 49ers at least showed in week one that they have a whole lot of Firepower without him and a very capable backup number a backup running back number two in Jordan Mason but this is week to week right the Jets strength of their defense is the secondary they have been run on in the pass Robert Salo was asked before the game knowing that the 49ers are a running team about how does he feel about his run defense and his response is we'll get run stops when we need them well at least for one week that wasn't the case but McCaffrey's injury being something chronic the calf strain and then The Chronic component being Achilles tendinitis they are in some ways a related condition considering how the calf and the Achilles tendon are basically connected and rest and any sort of treatment that he's receiving will obviously help accelerate healing but it's the calf that's going to heal before the Achilles just given the chronic nature of tendonitis which is essentially inflammation in the tendon and inflammation or a strain like a strain or a sprain and anything is a tear micro tears in the muscle in the tendon is what he needs to heal or what needs to heal in his calf and his Achilles now the 49ers you could look at it one way got some decent news today I'm recording this on Thursday night mcaffrey was back at practice there was a video clip on social of him essentially run a curl route in front of Brock py caught the pass and just you know sprinted up another couple steps and then you saw the social media reaction at least I did of well how is he supposed to heal if he's out there practicing McCaffrey's mindset has always been at least from the summertime that if there was a game this upcoming week I would play you said that five weeks ago that's his mentality now and I think the approach is Shanahan and the coaches saving mcaffrey from himself if he does indeed sit against Minnesota and I believe he will and there's a good chance that he could sit against the Rams you know just knowing how banged up the Rams are offensive line no pukaa no Tyler higgy they traded away ER was it Ernest Jones their their best pass rusher and linebacker they are winnable games right but Any Given Sunday just when you start thinking you have something figured out or you have a solid pick in your C Survivor pool something like New England at Cincinnati happens and this is a viking team although the Personnel is a bit different for for both teams for Minnesota and San Francisco that upset the ners last year on Monday Night Football let's put a bow though real fast on the injury situation and the ners got some I mentioned okay news on mcaffrey although I think it's a non-issue he is going to sit but there was limited participation from Dean urr MOS he was been dealing with a knee injury linebacker D Winters had an ankle injury so both of those returned players returned in a limited capacity Aaron Banks finger broken finger calf contusion hu funga participated in a limited fashion given his knee and so did Jawan Jennings after turning his ankle um against the Jets on Monday night but coming back but as I said last podcast you know you can play through it you're keeping it loose on the field and you're playing through it with some adrenaline it's how you wake up and feel that next day and Wednesday and today but he was able to do something on the practice field I wasn't there I didn't see it's only a good sign um for San Francisco now getting back to some trade news going back to the whole iuk Saga just to share with everybody I I know we've all probably heard by now the story of auk coming into the facility either a little bit earlier catching Shanahan before an early morning meeting having the discussion with him and then Shanahan sprinting up the stairs you know going into John Lynch's office and saying hey we have to talk you know after this meeting and not that you know Lynch was on the phone hammering out the the final details of a trade you know to Pittsburgh but there were obviously some ongoing discussions you know being had I don't think ultimately the Niners were and Steelers were all that close or any other team no matter what was reported because I think they were still going to call auk's Bluff although it did come out that or was reported that the 49ers did reach out to the Raiders about a wide receiver but it wasn't Devonte Adams it was jacobe Meyers their number two wide receiver formerly of the Patriots and Meyers you know obviously not in the same Stratosphere as auk but for a team with bad quarterback play last year remember it was Garoppolo if you watch that you know receiver Show on Netflix how Devonte Adams essentially threw him under the bus and said you know you can't start Jimmy anymore after week three even though I think he did wind up you know hurt his back so it was a good time for Devonte Adams to speak up and then Aiden oconnell comes in and had an okay you know rookie year but it was an offensively depleted Raider team when you don't have the right trigger man back there but jacobe Myers last year 71 receptions for 807 yards and eight touchdowns I think a pretty good season giving everything that the Raiders were dealing with and then Antonio Pierce coming on board and they became much more of a run first offense this jacobe Meyer situation was San Franc Isco looking to potentially cover their bases and if they were able to trade iuk say just for trade compensation that would have made them happy putting out feelers to see if they could flip one of those picks or one of their own picks for a receiver like jacobe Myers the Raiders did not engage with that and and maybe if IU got traded the Niners would have maybe upped whatever their initial offer was to Las Vegas but San Francisco and John Lynch specifically were working the phones they didn't want to be caught with their pants down if that discussion between auk and Shanahan was was something vastly different like auk pounding the table you guys aren't going to beat my demands I absolutely want to get traded you know sorry not sorry get me out of here type of a thing but all fair and Love and War everybody kind of made up iuk got the deal he wanted Niners gave a little bit more than they wanted and iuk will be more in the swing of things this week versus what he was in week one conditioning wise okay you know going up against s Gardner for a lot of snaps couple receptions um you could say two drops I'll I'll say really one Gardner knocked one away and the diving one I said last podcast that is not an eight out of 10 situ ation catch um for a lot of NFL receivers iuk included now one other note really a housekeeping note before we get into uh the preview of the Viking game the Niners made a roster move today it was a practice squad move they wound up bringing back offensive tackle Chris hubard who was who they signed and was with them in Camp to the practice squad and released defensive end Jonathan Garvin so on the active roster the ners still only have three pure tackles right so it's mckivitz it's Trent Williams and it's Jaylen Moore they released Brandon Parker couple hours before the Jets game because they needed to make room for Trent Williams but I'm assuming Shanahan feels comfortable with I mean they're only keeping eight active on game days right so you have your five starters you're going to have Moore you're going to have uh berford and you're going to have zakel right so zille could play center berford guards and Jen Moore could be your swing tackle if you have at least a NFL starting caliber tackle and that's what Chris hubber has been for the majority of his career somewhere in the building doesn't have to be on the 53 but he's on the practice squad now he could be plucked tomorrow uh and signed elsewhere and if that's the case to a 53 men roster if that's the case then they probably bring Brandon Parker back um but it seems like Shanahan is comfortable with their tackle depth and their defensive end depth not that Jonathan Garvin was going to come in and set the world on fire as you know a potential number five defensive end but the 49ers did Elevate Sam okanu for week one he did have two tackles one solo and one assist and the other defensive end is Alex Barrett who's been on the practice squad the past couple seasons and again guys I'm with you I feel uneasy about the 49ers defensive line depth specifically at the end until youur gr Matos comes back proves that he's healthy and then even beyond that because how much do we really expect out of Robert Beal but I will stand by by what I previously said how much are we really expecting out of a a fourth defensive end on any roster right so whether Garvin who was released was dn4 dn5 or on the practice squad it doesn't change the fact that the Niners still do have three NFL starters in BOS of Floyd and and youur and then whoever your fourth is you want to be productive it's more gravy at that point but I am still surprised that this is a team that built you know is so uh historically at least since Lynch and Shan and Shanahan have been here about the the dline in terms of the pass rushan the front four the fact that they only have eight defensive linemen versus what they've carried in the past nine or 10 is surprising right and if that ninth player is such a fringe player you want you know that position to go to another receiver another Corner another linebacker fine you know practice squads make that choice a bit more palatable but we'll see if San Francisco needs to elevate Sam okanu again if gr Matos is not cleared to play again being a limited participant in Thursday days practice now that brings us to our preview for San Francisco at Minnesota it's a 1:00 game the ners currently are a 5 and a half Point favorite now here's you know an interesting stat for you that ultimately doesn't mean that much but the 49ers have not won a road game in Minnesota in 32 years that would mean a whole lot more if they were in the Vikings division because that would actually mean 32 straight losses but being a conference rival and not a division rival a little bit different they are 0 for their last seven in Minnesota last victory 1992 a 20-7 win for San Francisco now again historically doesn't really matter 32 years so what you know anyone out there saying oh I I wasn't even born the last time the the Niners won in Minnesota so what it it doesn't matter the only one that we're really going to be you know looking at is last week's game and I'm sorry last year's game and that was a game where I think a lot of Us coming off of the Cleveland loss expected San Francisco to bounce back and beat a Vikings team that was without Justin Jefferson and was struggling those first five or six weeks of the season did not look very good and we know what happened San Francisco loses 22 to 17 and as I mentioned earlier the Personnel for both teams pretty different this year than what it was last year last year the Vikings had Kirk Cousins and defensive end denil Hunter and tight end TJ hackinson this year it's Sam darnold in for cousins because JJ McCarthy is is out for the year with a Tor NE miniscus Jonathan greenard is in for denal Hunter they they basically swapped Hunter went to the Texans greenard came for the Texans had 12 and a half sacks last year Aaron Jones is the running back now formerly of the Packers last year was Alexander Madison and K acres and Justin Jefferson is playing there was no JJ last year last year for the ners ners were without Debo and Trent Williams but they did have Dre Greenlaw talanoa hunga uh they did have mcaffrey this year who which which they don't they're going to be missing green law potentially hu funga and mcaffrey and the way that game went if you remember San Francisco got an inter reception three plays in was sustaining a pretty decent drive but then mcaffrey fumbles at the Viking 11 next Drive Niners miss a field goal so there's 10 points left on the field and then at the end of the half gave that gave up that egregious touchdown to Jordan Addison on third down with less than 20 seconds to go in the half Steve wil calls essentially an allout Blitz leaves his his secondary manto man up on the Vikings receivers and charvarius Ward instead of just knocking the ball down and getting to Fourth Down lets up a touchdown Jordan Addison somewhat wrestled it away from him to go up 16 to7 at the half in that touchdown You could argue represents the difference in the game since the 49ers lost by five now in the second half the ners you know adusted somewhat they scored 10 points they held the Vikings just to two field goals but on the last two possessions that they had Brock throws back-to-back interceptions once a bit of a miscommunication uh with Jawan Jennings on a deep uh in route and then another with uh well was actually just a bad throw on the last Drive overthrowing uh Ray Ray McLoud with under 45 seconds to go in the game in Viking territory so the Vikings cashed in when they needed to the ners listen the Vikings won that game cousins went for over 300 yards the Vikings got turnovers um but as much as the Vikings won that game the Niners you can argue gave it away the Niners are the were the better team last year and they're the better team this year but turnovers and not being in sync offensively or making bad calls defensively is ultimately what sunk San Francisco but let's at least fast forward to this year for the Vikings different team um different team that lost to the Giants two years ago in the playoffs and got Daniel Jones that $40 million a year contract after which the awesome stat that since he signed that contract he's thrown more pick sixes than actual touchdowns to his teammates ridiculous but true but the Vikings go into MetLife Stadium week one pound the Giants 28-6 Sam darnold possibly his best game ever in MetLife Stadium 19 of 24 208 yards two touchdowns but one interception Aaron Jones at running back went 14 for 94 in a touchdown and Justin Jefferson led the way receiving 4 for 59 in a score defensively led by Brian Flores they held the Giants to 240 total yards only 74 on the ground with 21 attempts and they had a five minute time of possession Advantage now I think everybody is just expecting after what the ners did to the Jets on Monday night that you know they're just going to keep feeding Jordan Mason they're going to Pound The Rock they're going to get over 100 yards control the clock control the tempo and be that well-oiled offensive machine that they were in week one for the vast majority of last season and a different team than what we saw in Minnesota on Monday night last year and that's very very possible that game against um Minnesota with mcaffrey the 49ers ran the ball under 20 times there was no reason other than not being able to sustain some drives early on in the first half where a 49er team shouldn't is not running the ball at least 25 times now we'll see if they are devoted to the running game how much of a split we're going to see between Mason and of course Debo is Debo going to be the number two running back or will greno Andor Patrick Taylor get any carries I would love to to see it just to show me that Shanahan is adaptable open-minded and again if he believes in others that Debo is a better running back than actual running backs that's one thing I and I'm not sure I agree with that but if it is just a trust factor and you are leaving your one of your Premier weapons open to taking more punishment versus giving it to someone else and all you know all you're hoping is just don't fumble Taylor gendo you know if you can stopped at the line or it's not a huge G just don't fumble because again I maintain going back to last podcast that lining Debo up in the back field tips San Francisco's hand tip Shanahan's hand for what might be coming offensively but less than 20 carries is not a recipe to win and obviously neither is turning the ball over twice for an offense that is so efficient especially when Brock is on his game now the run defense just getting back to that I I you know did long story long the expectation of the Niners coming in and establishing the run I fully expect that I fully expect the ners to feed Mason maybe he doesn't get 28 carries it's a short week he his body hasn't been used to that since high school but Minnesota could present an interesting challenge because while they are a 34 defense they are going to play a fiveman down line because their outside linebackers are big linebackers are essentially defensive ends they have eight linebackers on their team and six defensive tackles we've seen in the past and it's been basically the Rams that have deployed this the ners have had problems with five down linan essentially because you have five players that can play two gaps a piece right if you're going five on five you have your outside linebackers that go can go outside inside you can have people you can have your D tackles um over the center I'm sorry over the guards over the center going outside inside either one of those as well so I'm not going to say it's something that you know outside zone or inside Zone has a problem with but I'd have to go back and back and watch the Vikings game from last year to see if that's what Brian Flores deployed and what gave San Francisco trouble running the ball and why they ran it only less than 20 times but it's if it happens again or if this is something that the defense uses shannan's going to have to figure out a way to beat it and Brock was efficient you know he threw two interceptions I get it and they were two killers cuz they were the last two offensive drives of the game but he went 21 of 30 and even with those two picks that's 70% completion rate high we're not going to say he played one of his best games by any means but the ball only hit the ground or was caught by the Viking not nine of his 30 passes but that again going to show 30 passes and less than 20 runs that's not the recipe for Success last week was 38 runs and 29 passes and I'm not saying you have to get to that exact number but if you can go 28 28 3030 30 passes 26 runs it can't be so skewed because that their identity is built off establishing the run so play action works and you get linebackers to suck up and those in routes that KD and Debo and iuk run so well will would be there now let's flip it to the the defensive side having Justin Jefferson there changes a whole lot for this Vikings offense right best wide receiver in the game Jordan Addison's in his second year no TJ hacknsleep no hackinson but Jefferson and Aaron Jones versus last season you had hackinson and no real running back to speak of and they still were able to move the ball against San Francisco where the ners can make a living against the Vikings is their interior line against the Vikings interior line so that means Hargrave and Collins and given and Elliot and if they bring Bosa inside for some pass rush downs and put Floyd and and somebody else outside to get more favorable matchups because Christian daraw one of their tackles is you know a top five tackle in the league he's fantastic but the Vikings gave up 10 pressures 10 QB pressures from their interior line and yes you know Dexter Lawrence on the Giant he's a handful and the Giants have a pretty decent pretty good defensive line although they really didn't get to Sam darnold all that all that much Sam darnold was extremely comfortable that game against the Giants just like Aaron roders from a pass rush or pressure perspective was extremely comfortable against the ners rush one sack I think I read somewhere that there were only five or six total pressures all game all game the Vikings gave up 10 just from their guards in Center we didn't see a lot of blitzes from Nick soron first game and I'm sure he wasn't going to open up the bag and show everything week one may and you know maybe he wants his defense to still get more comfortable even though they know the scheme it's still going to be a cover three scheme but get more comfortable with how he's calling plays and maybe didn't want to get too exotic against Aaron Rodgers and kept things a bit more simple and just said hey our athletes on defense are better than your athletes on offense and we're going to prove it and they did now he can have that same approach against the Vikings Sam darnold you know famously seeing ghosts when he was with the Jets against the Patriots they can rattle him they can make darnold uncomfortable it's just a matter of are they going to do it with four just rushing their lineman or are the ners going to bring pressure offensively though they do need to play the way they did against the Jets they need to protect Brock keep him upright keep his jersey clean even though it's artificial turf or grassy Turf whatever it may be in in that beautiful stadium in Minnesota protect him like they did against the Jets and the Niners have a great shot independent of turnovers or anything crazy happening obviously a great shot they're a five and a half Point favorite which means if they were at home they'd be uh an eight and a half Point favorite but as much as they need to protect Brock they need to protect the ball they need to minimize any miscues two picks a miss field goal and a horrendous decision at the end of the first half last year and a fumble and a fumble at least cost the N got the ners negative 17 in the hole right touch down at the end of the half field goals three points say at least 10 at least 10 in the whole if not maybe 13 or 17 if Moody would have connected on the field goal that was snuffed out when mcaffrey fumbled on their first offensive drive so if you can protect the ball and you can minimize any miscues you could have Brock maybe again going for between 65 and 70% completion let's see week two two consecutive weeks of limiting the Run Bree Hall top three back in the NFL the line got manhandled the Jets line got manhandled by the ners line I think when it all said and done this early in the season the Vikings line is probably a comparable unit to where the Jets are but if they can keep Aaron Jones under a 100 yards if they can keep the Vikings as a team you know it's funny the the Vikings are and are possibly the only team in the NFL that only has two running backs on their active roster it's Aaron Jones and Tai Chandler for whatever that's worth and Chandler only got a handful of carries obviously darnold has some Mobility to him obviously more than Kirk Cousins last year so getting upfield getting past darnold is a no no maintaining you know your Rush Lane Integrity he's not Vic or Allen or Lamar Jackson but he can move and he can convert that third and five into a first down if he's able to break the pocket so the running game as a whole and I don't think you know darnold's gonna have 30 plus yards but if they can limit Jones and Chandler to Let's even say under 80 very good for the Niners defense you want to make any team one-dimensional but if you can make Sam darnold onedimensional and not nothing against him but he's not a very good quarterback had a good week one against a bad Giants team but he is not a very good quarterback and getting him uncomfortable get as much as everybody Shanahan and other players on the ners really speak highly of him and and are wowed by his arm Talent you know darnold can spin and he can make every throw out there unfortunately you know sometimes at least for him or the teams that he's been on he's made every throw to the other team far too often or having fumbling issues which we did not see at least week one against the Giants the Niners can make darnold uncomfortable and if that's a byproduct of taking the runaway and making him one-dimensional all the better keep feeding your stars Kyle feed Mason it doesn't have to be 28 calories unless he can handle unless he's feeling good I mean he took himself out at times we were watching the game we saw it against the Jets and after the game he said you know oh and I told Christian I don't know how you do it Allie and that's someone that's you know four years younger than mcaffrey with a whole lot less tread on the tire but I guess there is something to be said for the durability or you know playing that often tough toughening the body up and and I know I'm saying this about a player in mcaffrey that was injury prone with the Panthers and is injured now but I guess there is you know it's like going through training camp right even though I've never done it but getting your body into football shape there's a difference with Jordan Mason getting 28 carries versus just playing special teams obviously but feed Mason if you get him 20 and then please I would love to see another running back out there and get another 10 from debone company awesome but feed KD again I mean I said last week that you know KD should be in the four catch rain every game range every game four or five I mean five catches a game is is if he plays all 17 is 85 catches you know somewhere between like 75 and 85 catches on the season feed Debo you know force feed auk if you have to get him involved week won you know he's getting his sea legs under him you know still had what four maybe five um targets obviously feed your stars and don't shy away from anyone in particular not like there'd be a re a reason to and I would think what sh what Kyle shanan is looking for is this is a Brian flues defense so plan for pressure but expect a lot of Zone and if week one is any indication Flores and the Vikings D ran zone defense at the third highest rate across the league now we've seen the stats and I've said them on here how you know last year Brock was rated you know first against man first against the blitz first against Zone and the Vikings do have a pretty decent SEC secondary and they did pick up uh Stefan Gilmore to man one of the corners you have um cam bam at one of the safeties and I'm blanking on the Caucasian safety that they have is it Harrison Smith um they have a pretty good secondary and they can get after the quarterback and they can put pressure on offenses sometimes just based on sheer volume and numbers that Flores likes to send he doesn't he may not have the horses to play Man the way the Chiefs did in the Super Bowl the way the Ravens did on Christmas night or the way that a team like maybe Seattle could or some others like the like the Jets although they did play their fair amount of Zone also week one Brock can pick it apart any which way that Flores wants to dial it up he did it last year if Brock is on his game and and the 49ers defense plays 80% of of how they played against the Jets they'll get out of here with the victory because I think even having a Jefferson available and an Aaron Jones which are two huge offensive pieces yes they're missing T.J hackinson but having Jefferson and Jones available that they did not have last year when they beat San Francisco the Delta the difference between cousins and darnold is huge it's big and as good as darnold look looked week one he only threw for what 208 a little over 200 yards and threw a pick you know Sam darnold has set the bar so low for everybody that week one looks like oh he should be up for you know f X Air Player of the week but cousins was spinning it last last season without Jefferson Sam darnold is not Kirk Cousins and this is while he will have weapons around him the big knock on on Brock pie continues to be well is it him is it the scheme is it the players that are that are making Brock so efficient and an MVP candidate last year you still have to process make the right reads make the right throws throw in Rhythm throw on time and he does that at very high level can we say the same about Sam darnold throughout the course of his career now he has fallen into a good spot in Minnesota with the coaching with the talent but one game one good game against the Giants is not for me going to erase what we've seen throughout Sam darnold's career I think this game is closer than people think I think it's going to be probably right around the spread but I do have San Francisco winning 24 to 20 and if this is a team which we're all anticipating without mcaffrey that can you know stack wins the first five weeks get to two and 0 see how you do at the Rams Levis South without ncua and some offensive lineman then come home for Arizona and New England they could be setting themselves up very well like they did last year I mean when the Niners got to 5-0 last year they went five and three and I'm not going to believe right off the bat that if the ners get to 5-0 like oh you got the Seahawks the chief Chiefs and the Cowboys uhoh 5 and0 that's where they were last year you know look out because you got three more difficult games coming up but every win you get early every win you get in the conference in the division and against teams that you should beat sets you up later on for when you drop one and they're going to drop one they're going to drop two three four five maybe six games but take be of business against the teams you should the Jets were a toss-up game if you listen to last week I had my wins losses and toss-ups the Jets was a tossup game this is a win clean up on the wins get half of your toss-up games and you're an 11 or 12 win team so ners 24 to 20 can start off 2 and 0 before saying going on the road again and starting divisional play so that concludes the 49ers plus podcast for this week I want to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule for making us part of your listening routine as I mentioned earlier hopefully next podcast which should slash will be a Monday a reaction show to the Viking game very well might have some plus content if not uh then we'll be aiming for Thursday as we're preview doing week three against the Rams but let's not get ahead of ourselves 1 and0 was a great start against the Jets and looked really good doing it but I can imagine Brian Flores and Company having something up their sleeve and some adjustments for the ners and I don't think this game is going to look nearly as easy as what week one looked like once you got past the first quarter so whatever you do between now and when we speak again enjoy College football baseball pro football the Thursday night game I'm not even sure what's going on now between the Dolphins and the bills enjoy anything you're doing but at like always above everything else stay happy stay healthy stay safe and we will talk soon take care
