Jarrett Stidham some points on that drive you had yeah it was great um I knew coming into it if I went down and scored on the first drive i' probably be done so uh really proud of the guys for put it in there you know after the miss it was great and it was good Rhythm too no penalties real smooth drive that's all you could ask for yeah no it was great um yeah couldn't we threw the ball well uh ran the ball super super well um and got the ball in the end zone so it was good do you think this preseason was they kind of know what you can do I mean you didn't get a whole lot of reps in the preseason yeah look I I think they uh I think they know what I can do um I I I think I've displayed that last year uh whenever I was asked to come in and play the last two games and then you know throughout practice throughout training camp OTAs the whole thing um but at the end of the day you know I'm going to go out there and do what I do um very confident in what I can do and you know do whatever I can to help this team J how much do you feel like you've improved since this time last year I know we've asked you that a lot but just if you are called upon to go in at some point just how much more prepared do you feel yeah no I I feel extremely prepared um being you know in the offense for the second year uh you know I I feel like I got a good rhythm with the guys uh I have a good rhythm with Sean whenever he's calling plays and um yeah I I feel super comfortable and uh extremely ready whenever the the time might be jar coach said that he expects all three of y'all to make the roster so knowing that I think you probably be counted on as as a betet to some degree how interesting is that role shift when you come in behind Tom Brady behind dererk behind RS and now be the vet for a young guy yeah for sure um yeah I I I feel like I have a very unique experience um you know playing behind some in my opinion the best quarterback to ever play and seeing what that was like day in and day out and then being behind some some other really really good players and coaches as well so um yeah I mean obviously I'm I'm going to do whatever I can to to help Bo get prepared U obviously he's never had he's never had a a real season like this in the NFL so um you know I'm going to help help him in whatever way I can uh and then also be be ready to go if you know if I if I need to be so uh you know just ready ready for the season to get here and and get started have you always been supportive of I mean obviously you'd love to play right being there every snap but you're very supportive of bow have you always been that way of just what's best for the team I guess yeah for sure I I look I there's 91 guys in this locker room and we're all in here you know for one common goal and that's to win games and um obviously this is a a tough time of the year um but I mean you can see we get a 90 yard pick six or whatever it was and the whole team went nuts and I mean you you don't see that everywhere and um you know we've we've put a lot of work in together um you know all the way back to you know April or whatever it was and so we're you know this is a extremely close team I've always tried to Tred to be the best teammate that I could possibly be no matter of the circumstances so I always do that mention the chemistry is better that he and it's manifested itself this preseason what do you see as the difference between this group than when you guys left here a year ago yeah obviously I think uh you know Sean's been trying to lay that Foundation you know last year was a big part of that um I mean we have a lot of guys coming back from last year um so this team is just naturally just a little closer we've been around each other a little bit longer and uh it's a great group of guys I can't speak highly enough about this team um a lot of fun and uh everybody works hard um every it's it's honestly amazing to see a huge group of guys like this there's no entitlement um nothing of the sort and everybody just works hard and wants to win and that's and everybody's a great teammate so that's what it's about you last one Mike you uh had said that you were going to compete and you know go for that starting job I think back in OTAs or whatever how do you think you did and what was your reaction when when the coach told you that b got the job yeah uh I mean first obviously I was very disappointed you know um I know I'm a starting quarterback in this league I have zero doubts about that and you know just didn't shake out my way um but I know what kind of player I am um kind of person I am and like I said earlier I I'll be ready to go if if I need to be and um yeah like I said I I have no doubts that I'm I'm starting caliber quarterback in this Le thank you Jared Levelle Bailey guys um one thing that um I got to figure out is building a a routine um you know them them guys are veteran guys that's been in the league for a while um and they all been been telling me that they have a routine day in and day out um and to get this far in their Journey so just trying to learn from them um things outside of football and obviously within football um schemes and and film work and and just take care of your body really what are the next 48 hours going to be like for um just living in the moment really um just be blessed that I had the opportunity to display uh my skills within the training camp and preseason um and just putting in God's hands really um just whatever happens happens always happens for a purpose team appreciate Jordan Jackson apprciate I know one of my the dudes who I went to the prep school with one of his his brothers actually out there and he saw me and we kind of talked for a little bit so that was definitely big for me uh but yeah it's definitely great a lot of the academy fans come up here to watch the Broncos play so it's good to be doing it here in Colorado so do you kind of feel like you're playing for them and yourself I do uh definitely you know especially when there's not very many of us Academy guys in the league now uh being able to go out and just show out a little bit it's definitely fun Bo RoR over with the Vikings playing great Andre Carter from army over in the Vikings playing great so and Trey Taylor with the Raiders um so whenever we can go out there and play well it's definitely good for us but also for the Academy the Air Force as a whole in the military what's the next couple days like for you when the rosters have to go down from 90 to 53 um I mean of course it's nerve-wracking you know but after you do it a couple times uh you kind of get used to it try to relax take a day by day and then let it unfold how it may kind of jumped in here a little late so man good to see you uh the two sacks how relief excitement what was that like for you uh a little bit of both uh long time coming first sacks in well 3 years now so I definitely felt great go out there and do it and uh have the crowd cheering for you the older guys cheering for you uh it was definitely big for me not that the game is easier for you but is it easier from a standpoint of the speed of the game and do you feel more comfortable I think so definitely a lot more comfortable now and then being in this scheme for the second year now you kind of get a little bit more used to it so when you see different things it makes it a little bit easier but what have you learned from Malcolm and jfm uh a lot of stuff they both play The Run fantastically I was actually with Malcolm in New Orleans so he's able to bring some of that stuff that I learned New Orleans back to me now and show me that again jfm the way he rushes the pass the way he plays The Run he does a lot of great stuff too so having those older guys around us definitely help us younger guys get a little bit better every day two years on the practice squad you ready to say goodbye to that uh I hope so we'll see how everything unfolds here now but it was definitely good to go out there and play play a game like I did with it seems like the rotation is a lot of guys coming in and out does does that make me ease your fears a little bit about making the 53 uh I try not to think too much about it right now like I said just enjoy this win um go by these next couple days and just see how everythings the other person side of it Zach Wilson so we all have each other's back you know I always want them to do the best they can you know we're not competing against each other cuz there spots everywhere all around the league and so we all want each other to do well and um same thing with Bo you know I want him to play his best football if I can be any sort of resource or help to him you know the the same thing you know you you want to have a unified room that everyone can go in there and and talk ball and talk protections or third Downs or whatever and bounce ideas off of each other and ultimately those are the best quarterback rooms what was I'm sorry I got to hear a little what was your reaction when coach told you that b was going to be destroyed yeah I was excited for him I mean I don't think it was a surprise too much obviously right I think he's had a great Camp um you know I told him I'm excited for him for this opportunity I really I really believe that they're putting him in a good situation I think Sean has done a phenomenal job and the guys that we get to hang out with you know starting with Davis and then Joe and Pete and then Johnny Mo you know we have a great offensive staff I think they do a great job um and then Bo has just continued to keep getting better you know so I'm excited to see what he can do and and um I think he's ready for it just coach just said he expects all three quarterbacks to make the roster I'm not sure if you addressed that how do you feel about that yeah exciting but you know cut days is not until Tuesday so we'll see what happens how much does it help you with this like your first chance really getting a long Rhythm like that play a whole game yeah I think like you hit it right on like I can't think of many games in my career where it's been able to feel like we're getting into a rhythm and you know even if you go through an hour or get stopped you know here and there it's like okay we're going to put something together on the next drive and it feels good to feel that as an offense and you know one bad play happens you expect something good to happen on the next one so you mentioned last week sort of getting in Rhythm finally after completion did the did the long run early today sort of settle you in to this one I think getting hit in the face will help you get ready you di for the first time you do for the End Zone just leaving it all out there I guess as part of that just feeling grateful for this opportunity this summer yeah absolutely you know I'm I'm I'm very grateful just to be out here hanging out with these guys um you know and then once you're competitive just get preseason or regular season you you're going to do everything you can to try and get every first down score points and um whatever it is you know you're not thinking in the moment ah you know it's a pre season why don't I just run out of boun try and get Z from a from a business standpoint how much of it is we had to make put some good tape out there because other teams may be watch it yeah I don't know if it's necessarily thinking like that you know every time you touch the field rather who no matter who's watching you want to put your absolute best on on the field and that's for every guy this locker but it's team other teams you you don't want to go out there and not you know like you know how can you be a true competitor in this league if you're going out there and not trying that you know so you I'm I'm extremely proud of all these guys you know understanding it's the last you know opportunity that we're going to have this entire group together and everyone really putting their best out there thank you thank you Z
