AND WIND. THE MAIN SERVICE AREA IS ALONG THE SECTION OF THE LEGENDARY WALL NEAR BEIJING. >>> TURNING BACK NOW TO OUR WEATHER, LONNIE QUINN HAS GOT YOUR FIRST ALERT FORECAST. >> MAURICE, KIND OF LIKE FALL WEATHER TO WELCOME YOU BACK TO NEW YORK CITY. THE 70s FOR EVERYBODY TODAY, CENTRAL PARK MAXED OUT AT 76. THE ONLY SPOT THAT MADE IT TO 80, EAST ORANGE, NEW JERSEY. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT AS WE LOOK AHEAD? THE COOLER AIR THAT WE HAVE HAD IN PLACE, NOT GETTING OUT OF THE 70s, COMPLEMENTS OF A COOL BREEZE. NOT TERRIBLY STRONG, BUT IT COMES IN FROM THE NORTHWEST, KEEPING US ON THE CHILLIER SIDE. IT IS GOING TO SHIFT TO A MORE SOUTHERLY COMPONENT, SO IT IS BECOMING WARMER AND A REAL GOOD LOOKING WEEKEND LIES AHEAD. STILL DRIVE FOR ALL SEVEN HILLS, BUT THERE IS ONE HICCUP ON MONDAY. A FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE. LOW PRESSURE TO THE NORTH HOLDS ONTO A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN, BUT NORTH OF THE AREA. THE IDEA OF SQUEEZING SOME RAIN OUT OF THAT, REALLY NOT ON THE TABLE. THIS HIGH-PRESSURE SYSTEM IS GOING TO BE TAKING OVER, SO I SEE THE TEMPERATURES GETTING NICER. THE CLOSER THAT PUSHES TO THE SHORELINE, EVENTUALLY OFFSHORE, THE MORE IT IS GOING TO START BRINGING IN A SOUTHERLY WIND AS OPPOSED TO THE NORTHWESTERLY WIND THAT WE HAVE AS OF RIGHT NOW. LIKE I SAID, WITH THE RAIN MOVING UP INTO MAINE, WE HAVEN'T REALLY BEEN SEEING A DROP IN OUR AREA. I DON'T SEE A DROP FOR TOMORROW OR THE NEXT DAY OR THE NEXT DAY. TEMPERATURES WILL RISE, HOWEVER. 73 YESTERDAY, 76 TODAY. THE FIVE DEGREE BUMP TOMORROW. 85 ON SUNDAY. BOTH WEEKEND DAYS ARE LOOKING PRETTY NICE OUT THERE. RAIN CHANCES, A BUNCH OF GOOSE EGGS RED ACROSS THE BOARD UNTIL MONDAY. MONDAY GIVING YOU A WET WEATHER CHANCE, LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THAT. HOW MUCH RAIN ARE WE TALKING ABOUT? FOR THE MOST PART, THE NUMBERS ARE PRETTY MODEST FROM MONDAY INTO TUESDAY MORNING. BUT THERE COULD BE A COUPLE ISOLATED SPOTS THAT SEE AN INCH OF RAIN. NOT GOING TO BE FOR EVERYBODY. GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT. BRENTWOOD OUT ON THE ISLAND. BUT THIS IS A COMPUTER DEPICTION. THAT CAN REALLY SET UP ANYWHERE, BUT AGAIN, MODEST FOR A LOT OF FOLKS. A COUPLE SPOTS COULD SEE AN INCH OF RAIN, MAYBE A LITTLE BIT MORE. NUMBERS, 62 TONIGHT. WE HAVE NOT TAPPED INTO THAT SOUTHERLY COMPONENT. STILL THE WIND COMING IN FROM THE NORTHWEST FOR YOUR DAY TOMORROW AND DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. 62 IN THE CITY, 40s NORTH AND WEST. BUT AS YOU GO THROUGH THE DAY, THE NORTHERLY WIND WAS SHIPPED AROUND TO THE SOUTH, SOUTHWEST. NOW YOU'RE HITTING 81 FOR YOUR DAY. LOW HUMIDITY, WHICH IS PRETTY NICE. IN THE WEEKEND, HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURES GO UP. 84 ON SATURDAY, 85 ON SUNDAY. AND SATURDAY IS PRESEASON FOOTBALL. THE GIANTS AT THE JETS. AT 77 DEGREES AT KICKOFF TIME WITH NO PROBLEMS OVERHEAD. SO, WE TALKED ABOUT FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY LOOKING GREAT. MONDAY, THERE IS YOUR RAIN CHANCE, BUT IT COMES IN, IT GETS OUT QUICKLY. BY TUESDAY,
