we have head coach Sean n house here with us after the game in Seattle coach for starters opening statement after the game tonight please um yeah just disappointed in the second half performance to be honest um we need to be better in certain moments and people you know we have to be more connected in certain areas and compete a little bit more um you know they deserve the second half I thought we were better in the I thought we were good in the first half we didn't take a couple of chances we had but um you know case kept us in the game and uh you know we didn't do enough to reward that so yeah disappointing for sure Courtney Vine made her debut what did you make of her performance yeah it was fine I I think you know it's going to take a little bit for her to get adjusted to the league and you know we can't Resort you know the couple times we found the pocket and got behind it was successful but then we went away from it and we kept playing in front of them a little bit and uh yeah it's gonna she she's gonna have an impact for us but it's going to take some time Victoria turn over to questions I uh thank you Sean um yeah it seemed like um Seattle just really came out on the attack in the second half and just really took the game to you guys did you uh look to make any tactical changes to kind of counter that or just um absorb it and look for a counter I mean tactically you know it was more about the decisions we were making on the ball you know we were quite loose in possession whereas in the first half we were dictating the game and you know if you look at the we kept playing in the pressure we never released balling behind just to release pressure we kept playing in front of them and that's stuff we said in the at halftime not to do because they were jumping the lines and you know we we did the opposite for whatever reason and um you know our line started to get a little bit stretched they started winning second balls and um you know after a while that can that can start to wear on you you know so we brought some legs in to get you know have a little bit of pace up top and get behind and just didn't pan out um you know tactically I think you know out of possession you know we were a little bit concerned about the distance in our lines and the the the goal happens on a situation that we worked on Believe It or Not uh a couple you know over the last couple of weeks are just keeping the gaps force them wide and don't let them break that initial line and that's what they did so you know I I think tactically you know that it was just being better and more cautious in possession and I felt that we were extremely loose in that is that kind of down to like integrating players back in from the Olympics and new players and some combined with some Road rust or no it's just need we need to be better and need to be sharper and you know we looked a little fatigued um for whatever reason and uh that's something we'll have to look at but you know we only had one new player on the field so um it's look at the first half we wouldn't be saying that if the second half didn't go the way it did first half we those questions would have never been answered or asked second half we just dropped off the level just dropped off and part of that's due to what Seattle did they dictated the game just like we did in the first half and you know they They Carried their momentum forward and we just could we just couldn't get off our heels we kept you get deeper and deeper and the lines got we relied on Casey and um yeah it wasn't our it wasn't our best second half performance you know so but this is becoming a problem on the road and we have to start looking at ourselves in the mirror top to bottom and all of us uh and you know at some point something's got to click but you know we can't keep waiting for players to come back um when players get an opportunity to play they got to make the most of it otherwise others are going to step in and and give themselves a chance so you know but we just get back to work it's part of the process it's part of the it's part of sport you know I know everyone wants everyone to win every game but that's just not reality and two teams are competing and um at the end of the day they they out competed us a little bit tonight you're coming down the home stretch of this season um what what are you looking for from the players and from the team as you're you're going into now the next nine games I mean I we talked to the team a couple weeks ago just about being competitive you know competitive character and you know especially on the road you know and and you know we have have to bring the same energy that we bring on the home but we have to be consistent you know like players are injured yes we get it every team has injured players and we have to fight through that we can't keep using excuses you know at the end of the day we're this is probably our worst second half performance of the year at what are we in game 17 whatever we're in that's that's not a bad stat it just happened to be today and if we don't learn from it then you know that's on us but um I just want to see us consistent I want to see us believing in the moments that we have chances um you know the players I'll never question their work ethic and and and how and the effort they put in every single day um we have to carry that over to games now and you know look at the results over the weekend top teams lost you know so um yeah it is what it is we just get back to work that's all you can do sleep on it move on and get ready to go early in the week is that kind of a strength of this league that anything can happen you know any team can move to any place in the in the table Yeah we say that every year it's consistent every year so it's no surprise all right I'm sure you want to get out of Seattle so I'm going let
