Matthew Judon To Atlanta & Brandon Aiyuk To NE In A WILD 3-Team NFL Trade? Patriots Trade Rumors

Intro [Music] what's going on Patriots fans welcome in Patriots today by chat sports you got your girl Ally Barefoot here and Bach report recently just said that Matthew judah's possible contract extension is the most important extension for the Patriots ahead of the 2024 NFL season because you got a thing Stevenson already got paid gotcha wants to get paid but now Matthew judon in Le reports eyes at least should be getting paid next what happens if he doesn't do that mean a possible trade is going to happen if they're not satisfied with judah's party and the Patriots front office we're down bleach report's other idea here a trade idea a three- team Matthew Judon trade idea involving the Atlanta Falcons the 49ers and the Patriots yes you guys can see right there Matthew judon to the Falcons Patriots would get Brandon iuk and the 49ers would get Mike Hughes a 2025 first round pick and a 2025 third round pick via Atlanta holy cow let's talk about this trade shall we first of all if you get rid of judon let's start with that tip of the iceberg there if you get rid of judon it's going to be a huge shift for your Patriots defense this is your veteran this is possibly arguably the best player you have on defense right now and not at all would I want to think of a Matthew judon trade as a thought crossed my mind just in case judon is not satisfied with the Patriots front office if they do not pay him more yes cuz as of right now he's holding in which means he came to mini camp and he participated a little bit but not to the extent that he should have because he did not want to get fined so with that kind of mentality I'm now thinking okay well if you don't extend them towards training camp or even after training camp ahead of the NFL regular season what does that mean for Matthew judah's future here in the NFL with the New England Patriots or could he possibly leverage him with this three team trade cuz when you look at the Patriots linebacker depth chart right now you got judon there at the edge you've got Jawan Bentley middle linebacker you got gelani in there at your strong side linebacker and then you got an fry Jennings on the other Edge and all I'm saying is if you give up judon on this linebacker depth chart right now Jennings is going to have some big shoes to fill and that's only meaning it they end up using Jennings to the other side where judon has locked down for the last two years for the New England Patriots despite the injury they did have last year so there's going to be a lot of movements but I would expect Jennings have to step up and take over for that edge position and let's say trade or go get somebody else that can fill that role but regardless that's some pretty big shoes to fill not to mention you're really taking away a pretty big sack leader here for the Matthew Judon Stats Patriots as well from 2019 to 2020 Matthew judon is in the top five of NFL sacks you got TJ watt miles Garrett Cameron Jordan Aaron Donald who was one of my favorite defensive players in the NFL or was in the NFL you got Matthew judon here 43 and a half sacks from 2019 to 2022 and he only played four games in 2023 and if we look at what he's done this is what I'm talking about only four sacks in four games played last year one for one 15 and a half sacks in 17 games in 2022 all the way down to 12 and A2 six sacks in 2020 as well and we know that not all of that was with the New England Patriots some was with the Baltimore Ravens here so it is interesting that it's going to take a lot for me to trade away Matthew judon I love the guy I think he's fantastic I think he's an anchor on your defense and the fact that he missed pretty much all of the season last year minus four games and still had a sack in each of those games tells me he has so much left in the tank this season but money talks and Money Talks I know that judon got his contract tweaked a little bit last last year but I've made this point before is that judon had a much better 2022 to have that leverage to tweak his contract going into 23 but because he only played four games because of that injury I'm now talking if judah's like hey here's what I did in 2022 well it's 24 maybe he doesn't have as much leverage and he's got one year remaining on his contract that's why he's telling the front office hey man extend me do something with me he's got a cap hit of 14.5 million dead cap of 10 cap savings would be $6.7 million in a base salary of 6.5 here's my overall analysis I don't want to trade judon I don't especially with the Patriots wide receiver room what it is right now with how much potential it possibly has yeah we may not have a Bonafide wide receiver one like an iuk or a Justin Jefferson in our wide receiver room but there's a lot of potential there and I'd rather see what the Patriots do in this first rebuild year than go out and try to put a b ified wide receiver one in there and just kind of throw everything off would I be open to possibly talking about a different player trade for auk yeah but I don't know if I would include judon and let me bring up this trade idea just one more time because I'm going to talk a little bit more about this trade in the back half of the show would you guys accept this trade type why for yes type in for no let me know what you guys are thinking right now once again judon would go to the Falcons Hughes would go to the 49ers and Brandon iuk would come to the Patriots well the latest on Brandon Aiyuk Brandon iuk as well I'm not sure if he's actually even going to be traded this year he could come to terms with the 49ers Brandon iuk speaks on the pivot podcast about how his they don't want me comment which throwback he was on the phone with Jaden Daniel said they don't want me okay the 49ers told me that they didn't think we were on the same page it was a part of the contract negotiation so it now sounds like Brandon iuk is trying to make something happen with the ners and vice versa but only time will tell and when you look at the wide receiver depth chart here you know I made this point before there's a lot of potential here with a new rookie in jayen PK you even got Jayvon Baker in there the other rookie Kendrick Bourne pop dunglas who had a great year last year KJ Osborne who you just got from the Minnesota Vikings as your wide receiver three plus when you're look at the 49ers depth chart I haven't gone into as much detail of the cornerback situation that they're dealing with which is what Hughes would go to in this proposed three team trade but I know for a fact that they don't need somebody like a judon if things were to get switched around in that three team trade proposal because they got Bosa they got Floyd so I don't know if judon would be marketable to the 49ers either if you could move that trade around because I know they would get Hughes in this big deal but I would trade iuk with another Patriots player but I'm definitely not giving the 49ers a first round pick in this scenario iio either that's why I don't think judon is marketable in this three te trade because I'm not giving up a first rounder to the 49ers either and getting rid of BR and getting rid of um Matthew judon is just not up my alley funny I know but all right let me know what you guys think here I know you guys are huge on Matthew judon but let me know
