right RJ had four touchdowns uh you were already well over the 100 yard Mark at halftime uh how did you feel out there tonight I feel great all praise go to the offensive line like without them and that wouldn't have been possible so I'm just super blessed for them to have done their job tonight RJ first two games you come out and you guys run the ball really well what does it say about this running backs group to be able to to to put up the numbers you guys have been able to put up in the first three games yeah we loaded we going into each and every practice we pushing each other hard each and every day without those guys you know I'm so I'm so grateful for them cuz they push me they make me a better running back miles Penny Johnny you know we loaded at the running back room and I'm just so blessed to be around such great guys RJ obviously open drive uh offense had a couple penalties back to back KJ hit that big pass when you see uh the quarterback get a long pass to keep the draft going does that get you more excited oh yeah it made it made me excited you know KJ he had a great game today and he's just going to keep getting better each and every week and I'm just excited about what he's going to do in upcoming weeks what do you like about what you see from the offensive line through two games oh yeah they they just going to keep getting better and better uh you know coach hand they push they P he pushes those guys each and every day during the week and uh you know they they just they get a job done every time for me so I'm yeah RJ what does it mean you to be able to get get into the end of four times tonight first one time to do that since Isaiah did it back in 2021 yeah um like I said all prayers go to the offensive line but um yeah it's just a super blessing what did you notic from KJ today supposed to last week and how did that help you guys as the running he was more comfortable just more relaxed uh today and uh yeah he had a great game today and he he prepared throughout the week you know uh like I think Coach G said this was his best week of practice and I seen it and uh he's just going to keep getting better each and every uh week RJ s Houston State New Hampshire teams you guys are supposed to be at this level next week it's going to ramp up how do you take what you learned from the team against team you're supposed to be going into T yeah we just uh got to lock in uh clean up all the mistakes that we made tonight and uh last week and uh you know I I feel super uh great about this team and I feel like we're going to get a job done for uh each uh conference game we just got to lock in throughout the week and uh practice hard and it all going to translate to the field RJ amazing game I'm very impressed I know besides running up four touchdowns how do you think that helps with your mentorship leadership to the younger running backs in the world yeah yeah I try to uh lead those guys each and every day you know the young guys like Stacy and uh know cam Preston you know uh me and Penny and uh miles we we've been doing this for uh a while now and uh we just we make each other better each and every week and uh I try to tell them whatever I know and whatever whatever I know they I I try to teach them and uh yeah they do the same for me too mentioned the offensive line helping helping kind that that game how much confence you guys have knowing that everybody's working together to create rers St can you repeat it please how much comfor confidence do you guys have as an offense knowing that everyone's working together these kind of MERS season yeah like like I said it just practicing hard each and every week going against our defense and uh you know our defense they they they way better than last year so uh they push us they help us out and uh the looks that they give give us throughout the week that just helps us during the games how how much does it help you when you have a quarterback that can just run lower shoulder and improve you know the option and help you out in the back field as well yeah K he was running people over tonight you know it's it's it's it's great to have him back there with me you know it it just opens up more for me cuz they got to account for the the defense they got to account for the quarterback so um yeah uh you know KJ he's he's he's mobile and uh I'm just I'm gr grateful for him to be back there with me what was last five yeah he just you know he he he had more confidence he felt more comfortable and uh he had hot he was high he had high energy throughout the week and uh it it translated to the game with the team's partnership with hmer and the special helmets how does it feel to be such a part of an important cause yeah it's it's a it's a special feeling you know we did we did it during the Spring as well and uh you know we just wanted to give them the see they we just wanted to uh give them something to feel special about you know you know they're going through a lot right now and uh you know we praying for them out and just hope that uh great things happen for him RJ got a big test next week at TC what are you guys looking to show in your big 12 opener yeah uh just you know just uh execute that's really it and uh you know we believe in each other and uh we feel like we going to get the job done you guys struggles last you're on the road what do you do personally when you're in a hostile environment like that what do you got you do to kind of maybe tone everything out to maybe get your focus on the field yeah honestly I like away games better than home games honestly I love the crowd for home games of course but um I I love traveling and I I know I'm gonna play my best and I'm G give my all and I I just got to keep my I got I got to help my teammates make sure they get they all as well
