Hornsea, Yorkshire Coast | A Very Special Day | Food, Shops AND MORE!!

oh wow some chili chip spice extra hot hello today it is a very special day it's my mom and dad's wedding anniversary and I've dragged them along with me to one of my favorite places we are in Horn SE and I thought I'd just take them to some really wonderful places that make me very happy and hopefully it'll give them a lovely special wedding anniversary and what better way to spend their day than with their favorite child no is that not true no any comment sorry Rohan but on a serious note oh it is gorgeous so we're currently at horn Mia and it is a big body of water you can go out on boats you can go out on rowing boats there's a really nice little Sailing Boat over there and it's just a wonderful place to come have a little look around nice walk bit of nature as you can see the cute little ducklings over there in huddle how sweet um we're now going to head over to the cafe because as per usual I like to start off with a little bite to eat and a nice cup of tea so let's go over and see what's on the menu [Music] okay so we're inside the cafe it is really lovely in here it's got a lovely view of the little mini golf course behind and out obviously onto the mirror itself as well we've just got some drinks and I spoke to a lady the other day who said that the sausage sandwich here is one of the best sausage sandwiches that her husband had ever had so we've gone for a sausage sandwich and a fried egg sandwich let's hope it is because I love a good breakfast sandwich [Music] oh wow that's a lovely runny yolk look at that oh looks great tasty very it's just what you need in the morning isn't it oh that does look like a very very good s sandwich [Music] well like I said earlier it's absolutely stunning here and that food was really really delicious I've been here before and had a cream tea so fantastic scone with jam and clotted cream it was brilliant and a real good nice Yorkshire cup of tea as well so I really do like it [Music] wow I've never been on a sailboat like that before I bet it'd be really hard takes a lot of core strength probably okay so after some very tasty food and a nice little walk around we're now going to head back into the car and head into the like the center of horn SE where they've got some lovely shops they've got some nice bars things like that so let's uh jump back in and see where we end up [Music] next oh my goodness the amount of times I been to Horn SE and I have never been here before I didn't even know this existed and it is just incredibly beautiful let me just turn the camera around so you can see what I'm looking at right now so we parked up and I was like what's that over there let's just have a little look goodness me it's a massive area I'll find out what it is and I'll pop it on the screen for you now but the swallows flying around it's just the most peaceful place definitely going to bring a picnic here okay so after that quick little detour we're now going to have a look in some shops there's a really nice plant shop which I'm desperate to go into there's a couple of others like I think it's called like feather your nest or something um and just have a nice little look around it's hard though my mom gets very distracted by everything so trying to keep her walking we we'll get there eventually this is why I love horn SE we've just walked into a shop um and we've ended up in like a garden area and loads of stuff's for sale some really good stuff for a really reasonable price they've got pots they've got plants they've got a milk chain they've got basins that you can plant up it's just amazing they've got all of these wonderful vintage items which is bringing a lot of memories back for my mom and dad especially this tin if anyone had this tin let me know cuz that's been a big hit with my parents I just love all of the traditional haunty pottery items I especially love the really dark brown things like there's the plates over there I love it when the biscuits and the tea and the sugar pots are all the dark brown oh my goodness I absolutely love this so much I think I'm going to take it I don't know how much it is but I'm going to buy it and then I can put one of my plants in it cuz it would look so so sweet with a plant in it I know a bit of an untraditional use for it well I could have bought everything in that shop they had so many wonderful things it's a family business um I've just spoken to the Gent there and the lady there and they said that they've had it about eight years and they've had different upgrades at different times um so it's a a real mix of wonderful things I think for everybody actually so if you are thinking of visiting definitely pop in there it was brilliant we're now going to go into FEA and Nest it's a really gorgeous home wear place this one I've been meaning to go in it for a while as well so let's go [Music] inside oh I could have bought everything in there again it's a bit of a nightmare I just I love those kinds of shops um so we did end up getting another plant pot for my mom's plant her aloe vera has had baby bees so she's going to separate that oh we've just stopped to look at house prices ooh no no we mustn't get distracted let's go to the plant shop here it is botany Boutique let's take a look [Music] inside and another wonderful shop I love anything independent anything crafty anything creative anything house plants it's like a dream shop that one for me and the Gent that I spoke to in there he was saying that it was his wife's shop and that she also does little workshops and things so if you were wanting to learn how to do particular things I can leave a link down below for you you can have a little look and I'll probably take a look myself cuz it did sound fantastic oo we're now heading to the seafront see how the waves are today see if they're calm or see if they're rough and we'll probably end up getting a cup of tea or something it's getting to about that point now about that point for for another cup of [Music] tea so we just went to that lovely little shop on the top there and got a nice hot cup of tea and a couple of coffees and the sea is such a nice distance out that we can actually have a little walk along the sand and head over to it today it doesn't look too choppy either you wouldn't think it was Midsummer right now would you really what was that it's a bit chilly is [Music] it did you have a nice paddle I had a lovely paddle thank you had a lovely paddle best thing to do is just close your eyes listen to The Waves yeah yeah did you not fancy getting your Coy on no a it's lovely I love it by the Sea yeah it's just so relaxing isn't it it is it tends to put things into perspective for me yeah just to listen to The Waves it's it's just wonderful yeah so a lady told us earlier that at the Lookout Point the local nitt Nat group had knitted lots and lots of flowers so we headed out to where I thought it was which is right over there in this little bit over here I don't know if you'll be able to see it but it's where they look out and the boats are all stored and everything turns out after that massive walk along there I was actually wrong and it's this Lookout which was right next to where we were oh my goodness it is literally I do not know how I even missed it cuz it was right next to us and I made my moon walk all the way down to the other side uh with her Sandy toes oh well let's take a look now at all of the wonderful knitted flowers oh my [Music] goodness oh look at this oh that is so so special so it's the national coastwatch Hy station and look at these beautiful beautiful flowers that people have spent all that time knitting and creating such a beautiful tribute to them ooh this flower's got some cool Duty sunglasses on I'll just let you read this because this is the information as to why they've actually created this there are 4,3 flowers on display and six months of hard work it's [Music] amazing okay well back in the car again that was lovely just a nice walk along the seafront always clears your mind doesn't it so we're now going to head to get some fish and chips and a few weeks ago I went to whiteheads and did a video there so if you'd like to see that video I can leave a link for you it was very very delicious and so delicious that out of all of the fish and chip shops in Hy we've decided to head back to that one um I will probably get PTY and chips and I think my mom will get the same and then my dad will probably go for a fish so a nice variety I'm not sure if I'll go for the pineapple fritters this time although they were very tasty so I am a bit [Music] tempted no we've timed it wrong and it's closed oh no I'm so sad right so plan B we're going to find a different fish and chip shop there's very few to choose from those that's that is the bonus now which one should we go too H okay we've come to Sullivan's let's have a try I haven't been for a very very long time so looky forward to trying them okay so we've got parked in our usual with a nice view of the sea and let me show you what we got so we went for fish and chips a regular fish and chips with peas on there so I don't know if you saw the recent trip to Humber street but I ended up buying some chip spice some chili chip spice extra hot and we're going to give it a go today I'm very nervous cuz I'm really panted with hot spicy food I was about to say you know what it's not actually that hot but then it got me at the end like the back of my mouth and I'm like wooo it's a ghost chili in there I think so it has a little kick let's just say it's nice though very nice it's still got that nice paprika and onion to it right let me show you what I got so I went for chips as you can see and a Patty a whole Patty so that's with sage and mashed potato in there is it good mom my mom says that the Patty is really really nice I also went for some curry sauce for me chips and some peas they look great don't they Co it was a good portion of curry sauce look at that let's see if it's delicious M that's a really good curry sauce I really like that the chips are great too woo M that is a really good Patty well I am very very very impressed I didn't know what it was going to be like like I said I hadn't been in a very long time but it's bluming delicious brilliant oh well what another wonderful day in Horn SE those peas were great as well and I really did enjoy that so thanks so much for joining me today around lovely hay is one of my favorites I do love it I I feel like I say that about most
