seeds have all made it through uh to the second round so it's a very strong field despite having a lot of upsets yesterday all those upsets were mostly outside of the top outside of the top 10 uh City Pass Runa um uh FAA right those are the big upsets but they were all they were all outside the top 10 uh no top 10 players have lost J on the men side but we're watching Bosa take on towns and Bosa is maybe a lot of your guys dark horse to win maybe a lot of your Underdog pick uh to do well I know she's mine I think I put her in the quarterfinals maybe I think but let's go a at the preview because these two ladies have played before actually played this year so this is getting interesting winner of this match will take on either Kika or ruse and they're playing a little bit later and uh Kika Wimbledon champion number eight seed in fact they're playing now as well so that'll be interesting that'll be interesting to see if it is Bosa Kika for sure that would be a very fun little match and also in this section C of the draw we've got as a ranker because zakary of course was unable to continue her match on day one so Asar ranker is pretty much the uh the big bad in this section as well so this section pretty open Bosa rikova AAR ranker one of them is making the quarterfinals to play uh Possibly play golf so yeah it's um it's a wide open section very a lot of opportunity even for Townsend a lot of opportunities Taylor towns and number 48 the world 28-year-old from the USA she is 5'7 left-handed 21 wins 18 losses on the year she has no titles this year but she's got some good wins and some form over the last couple of weeks leading into this tournament uh won more matches than she's lost in recent time palosa world number 29 just snuck into the uh into the seeds after winning in Washington and also making a Deep Run the last couple weeks in Canada Cincinnati those two tournaments 26-year-old from Spain she's f with 11 right-handed 16 wins and 15 losses of the Year oh she has that title of Washington four career titles also chose not to play the Olympics one of the only players and there's a few players that benefit from not playing the Olympics but she was one of the one of the most one of the ones who uh benefited the most by not playing in uh in Paris on the clay and she got a title for for uh her sacrifice they played in Australia it was easy win for players skip the Olympics it would have done no good I mean look at all the players that played on at the Olympics that did bad last week right all the players like playing the Olympics would have helped her US Open she wouldn't have beaten Canada if she played the Olympics you know what I'm saying R gets a lot of stick from British media I I wouldn't even say this I would just say from Britain you got to put some blame on the tournaments for not for for enabling ranu right if you if you're you're pissed off she doesn't play quales yes she could take it upon herself to you know be like oh no I need to play quales I don't want your wild card but she'd be like honestly she'd be dumb not to take wild cards because if the tournament's going to offer them that is just easy points rather than playing the quales where you get this many ranking points even if you're losing the first round you still get more points than what you would if you played the qualies and lost yes it's probably better for a tennis to play quales but she'd be dumb not to take the wild cards because main draw gets more points and her ranking which is actually not that bad if a ranking was like 300 right now I'd be like yeah like you know the tournament's just St giv but the thing is the tournaments give wild cards to the players that people know or to the locals right ranu is someone that people know also ranu got into this tournament with her rankings so I don't know why there's why she had to play qualies She's number seven in the world she wouldn't have had to play quales here anyway you know like there was not like why would she play quales when she got main draw entry like it's crazy but yeah uh all I'm saying is that emma1 slam through playing the qu true she did but also again if she's going to get a wild card if it's the tournament's fault for for it's the same as Venus right Venus plays whenever she wants because the tournaments are going to give her wild cards she's earned that but ranu wanton a slam so isn't that worthy of I mean if ranu is firstly not popular if she was less popular and she hadn't won the US Open she probably wouldn't be getting all these you know free passes but again the tournaments you got to blame the tournaments too you know you can't just put the blame on ricu to be like you've got to you know play qualities it's like well the tournaments are offing wild card so she kind of dumb not to take take those wild cards for the most part all 30 you could have play a war warm up tourament before the US Open that was strange but then you think well without having to play qualities and stuff but I mean that's probably the the probably what she's going to have to decide after this tournament right or does she stay in college like someone like a Collins or like a Navaro like these type of players who uh Pula who do the college thing just to get the to get the degree so then you know at 22 years old she'll play you know the main tour and and uh but also have a backup of you know of uh of a degree when if tennis ends you know if she finishes at 30 or if she doesn't you know pursue tennis or if she doesn't do well you you know she at 25 she's like forget this I'm not even getting into the main drawer of challenges anymore then she might be able to go do a so again that's something she'll have to decide after this she going to pursue a tennis career has this week been enough to to give her belief that she could do it and being from Australia is going to help a lot because uh as we saw with um we've seen over the time I mean Aussies get you it's lucky you're from you know coming from Australia because Aussies do get a lot of can get a lot of Love sometimes they don't we saw that with milman last year but uh being a young she lost in qualities of Australia qualities of Wimbledon but remember last year November is when she committed to the to the to the thing had she have won made the final sorry made the main draw of the Australian Open this year she probably would have said I'm not playing college tennis but because she she hadn't seen any proof this year so far that she could go pro uh or maybe look maybe it's a family decision maybe it's something you know maybe it's like hey my parents want me to go to college you know it's a good experience blah blah blah so maybe you know maybe it's a personal thing maybe
