Logan Sargeant Out, Colapinto In

how's it going everybody we have another car um I guess opinion piece to tell you the truth um this is a day after we got word that Mr Logan Sergeant got uh sacked cut uh let go of his D duties as William second driver after this weekend was a last STW when it came to him during one of the FPS basically demolishing the car wanted to say I read anywhere from 1.5 to$ 1.7 million in damage uh and then also putting Williams in that situation where they're having to put the car back together to even get something out for the weekend um this is just pretty much that was the straw that broke the camels back he's just has not been what they've wanted even though the Williams car is uh not good at all he has not shown anything when it comes to any type of potential he not the guy that they saw at f2 F3 so what went on all the news from yesterday was that he was let go and I think the even bigger situation was that they replaced him with someone that we didn't think of I mean at least casual or non-casual F1 fans it's a Franco kapino the Argentinian kid excuse me 21 years old well not that much of a kid uh guy who's currently in F2 I want to say he is a Williams Junior driver he is currently I want to say fifth or sixth he's right next to kimy antelli which is kind of interesting in the F2 driver standings no one that we've never I mean no one that we've we've heard as far as like a haar or a Kimmy or you know none of those sexy names that are um always I guess you can say mentioned in the or like bman well Berman's not really doing that well but he did great substituting for Science and I think that's the thing is that it's what you do with giv your opportunity so going into these fast few past few weeks we would hear anywhere from Liam Lawson being on loan to to Williams for the rest of the year to uh MC Shumacher getting a secondary chance CU association with Mercedes and Williams stuff like that but I was starting to think about it yesterday and kind of going through like why they went the path they went and I started to think about uh everybody's point of VI so when it comes to Schmick I mean at the end of the day he's probably not going to get another chance with having another F1 seat he didn't really show much and especially F1 being so uh what have you done with done done for me lately it's highly unlikely he will get another shot but when it comes to him at least if he is you know relieved of his duties he has a chance to go into another type of racing uh League I guess you can say if it's a Indie you know whatever it may be uh you you fill in the blank at least he has time to potentially get a seat somewhere else um and not be kind of uh left with a bag I guess you can say and have everything filled up you know so I guess this is beneficial if you look at it from that point of view when it comes to uh Williams and vals I think the reason why they went with this other kid that's under their control is that if they were to go with say a Liam Lawson uh I guarantee you if something were to happen at czecho which is highly likely then that they would need Liam either at Red Bull or at uh VC carb to replace the guy who's going to Red Bull whatever configuration basically vals would be in a situation again so even though Kento is probably not their best chance at getting points for winning I mean they're not going to have that situation where uh he in a predicament again after this so uh it's one of those interesting situations um I would have to say that if one day um they were to sorry guys had to readjust if someday they uh were excuse me for some reason that were to come by it just would be another situation the thing is with the whole Perez thing yeah he did okay this past week we but I don't know like it's it's it's highly likely that he's not going to make it past the uh the North American races so but we we'll see now when it comes to this kid I mean Williams already has signs and Alban for next year so they're set so this kids try out this this whatever you want to call it uh they're playing with free money essentially now when it comes to the Williams point of view it's it could be high risk because at the end of the day you're thinking okay Sergeant is costing them money not getting them points now this kid has to pretty much do what Sergeant's doing or less there's a chance he might actually crash the car more than Sergeant you know and that's where Williams has the risk and they can potentially lose in this they it cost him but there is that slight opportunity that he might actually be equal if not better and then at that point they're playing with house money when it comes to that situation um this kid is not going to light it up even if this guy is is amazing in the next second coming of of Max for stappen there is no way that he's going to um how would I say uh dethroned Carlos signs Andor Alan for next year but best case that he is actually uh decent if for some reason Carlos were to leave after uh next year because he does have I believe a clause in his contract where he can go to a better positioning team and essentially opt out which is highly highly likely because he is a good he is a good driver and Williams is not the greatest team at least they can say well we at least have Kento who's had you know eight nine races under his belt and they would be at Advantage at that point if he's good or even average so I understand it but the thing is is hopefully this kid doesn't e it into the wall every other week cuz then that's where Williams is going to potentially lose I mean after I would say almost a day this is broken I kind of understand a little more where at first I was like what the heck's going on this this guy's you know sixth of anything but I mean Kimmy's fifth I think I believe kento's w a race he's Argentine so you got a big fan down there in South America I mean it's one of those things it's not necessarily you know what they're doing if they're winning F2 or whatever it may be look at Oli bman he's not even really doing that well in F2 but you know he has a uh a seat for next year and that time that he was in that Ferrari he He Turned heads so it's pretty much you know what you do and with given the opportunities that you're given and that's another thing with Mick Schumacher he had a year or two I know in a crappy car but he didn't do much with anything you know even show like hints of of greatness so uh unfortunately that's probably why didn't inside with him so uh this is the weekend of Mana this weekend so it should have a recap unless there's some more information or news that comes up but I just want to kind of give my two sents on this whole uh Williams um I guess you could say post midyear Switcheroo so we'll see you next time
