we're here to talk the latest Detroit Lions news and rumors for you folks today we're going to be going over the injury report who is injured for the Lions and Rams game great news right there we're going to be getting into Jameson Williams talking about goals Hefty goals that he want to have this season we're all for it the betting odds for lions and Rams everything that you need to know let's news in rumors for you folks really quick and we're going to be doing the injury report extremely important there's only one really player you got to worry about and that's a futu melaan Wu he is questionable to play in this game and we don't really know if he's going to play or not right now he's a backup anyways so that is the biggest question and that is the only question jir Gibbs Sam lorta Kevin zitler Carlton Davis teron Arnold malcol Rodriguez Andis rake straw they are going to be good to go unless an injury occurs before the game obviously but right now there is only one question mark If Fu melaan Wu that is great news for the Detroit Lions everybody that we need to be is going to be playing in this game pan everybody and we get to see a lot of debuts we get to see the whole new lion secondary a lot of good to come in there that is such great news start the year that we're really don't have much injuries on the injury front it really is good news and you know there's been concerns on pre-season and training camp with injuries but at the end of the day we one we are solid and that is how you want to start the year are you concerned about lions injuries one if you're not concerned 10 if you are right now I am at A1 I am not too concerned about the Lions injury front at all basically that's it is let's get to the Lions cap space you want to know right now the lions are sitting at 31 almost $32 million in cap space that's fourth in the NFL that is Ray agu and that is Brad Holmes that is rodw all the leadership being fiscally responsible for this football team so Lions can absolutely make moves still if they really wanted to I'm not saying they are I'm just saying they have the cap the ability to do it I think that's more again of trade deadline day if the Detroit Lions are wanting to make a move they got the money to save we'll see you know how the first month and a half goes for the Lions this year the first quarter and half to almost all the way to October if the lions got to make a move or not but I'm really good here I think the lions are great and responsible with their money there is no issues I am happy that they are the fourth best one of the best if not the best roster in football and you have the fourth best cap space and it's not Auto screwed up mixing around cap space other teams do this is legit cap space we you know we don't have some sort of contract changing to make it look better it just is really good very young team great cap great players this team is is smart this franchise understands how to be a top tier franchise it's so good to see and this is something new for us us Lions fans out there and super stoked going forward for this team Taylor Decker says he expects he expects it's going to be hostile territory for Matthew Stafford's second return to Ford Field and that is just absolute Common Sense this is what Taylor Decker says says I have no idea what to expect said offensive tackler Taylor Decker who's protected Stafford for Five Seasons draft 2006 knowing fans I expecting hostile teror for everybody body comes here I know staff is going to take the stride and be a competitor I it's going to be hostile territory it's absolutely going to be hostile territory and I love how he stated in there that any team that comes in here they're going to do this it is not Stafford it's not at your kids and I don't believe Matthew Stafford actually believes that that that's more of Kelly Stafford delusions there he totally understand I think he understands maybe he he you know he gets a little bit salty because they chant Jared Goff or whatever but the guy is he understands and I think we all understand you're trying to come to Detroit opening night and beat the Lions your former team of course they're going to be loud and boo you on Sunday Night Football what do you expect I get this all the time the lion shouldn't boo Stafford the Lions should treat Stafford no he is not the quarterback of the Detroit Lions so you can't you can't say that of course they're going to boo him and they're going to chant Jared gof that is normal they shouldn't be upset about that at all this is fandom do the Lions fans hate Stafford and they they hate his kid no no they don't man obviously some Li some lion fans don't like him it's the same but the hate and and all this Ridiculousness no it's because he's trying to beat us at Ford Field of course we're going to be loud the 13th man is what I call it because it's extremely loud is not going to allow that and so look everyone can cheer and shake hands after the game but uh no you need to be booing during the game you need to be chanting Jared Goff during the game you need to be as loud as possibly you can be when Stafford is on offense and be quiet as you can be when Jared gof is on offense and it should be like that every game that is what we expect and that's what we need need to have happen 13th man they say 12th man I for this game on Sunday Night Football Lions are three and a half Point favorites here and that's kind of what you would expect two teams very good two teams and you know we beat the Rams by one point in the playoffs so you know three and a half Point favorites makes a lot of sense definitely it's the home favorite is usually three points and they gave it a half a point there so that's about as as good as it could be it'll be interesting though because the lions got a completely different secondary and can this secondary slow down Cooper cup and puka nakua in the pass game I am convinced they'll do great against the run defense and that's what they're going to do but can this secondary really Elevate its game this and and show them that Carlton Davis and tyon Arnold and meek Robertson three new cornerbacks think about this we have three new corners uh playing it's gonna be on the field that's crazy you got Brian Branch he's he's uh moved to safety and Kirby Joseph there so the secondary is going to be hype it's riped and the lion should be a three and a half Point favores talks about how eron Donald's not here and that's a good thing but they did get some young Talent naron Donal last year was not the same that he was and then obviously uh they made some moves and we got to see some new people from their team um and it's going to be fun I think the Lions going to win this game I think the lions are the better football team and of course it's at home on Sunday Night Football that's going to and you know how Jared gof is in prime time he's really good he is the king of prime time him and momes they they're just really good when the lights are on right they're just really good so in prime time so that's going to be a fun game to watch let's get into this here J Jameson Williams is expecting big big big things Jameson Williams talked about how he wants to have the most yards and touchdowns for wide receiver this year I like hearing that I want to hear goals you know we knew am man ra St Brown want to get over, 1500 yards receiving last year he did it and got over 10 touch or he got 10 touchdowns that's what he wanted to get he got his goal Jameson Williams sky's the limit for this guy I don't know exactly what he's going to get do I think he's going to get the most yards in the NFL no it it's just not going to happen when you have so many different weapons like St Brown Sam leaport Jamir Gibbs the running game it's quite difficult to do that but I am very happy that is his goal just because I think it's probably unlikely doesn't mean I'm really encouraged by Jameson Williams throwing that out there and you know putting when you do that you're putting a little bit of pressure on you and you're confident the same time so that is the type of things that I would like to hear from Jameson Williams is motivation to be the best and that's what he's doing right here again do I think he gets it no but I am absolutely happy that he wants to I think that Jameson Williams it can do he can he can literally he has the talent to be one of the best in football it's just all in his head you know and how he operates now can you do it you you got the speed of Tariq Hill right your route running has significantly improved and I even though I I loved it out of Alabama but it's been slow start here in Michigan but it's route runions and improved he's always got separation and it's yards of Separation because he's so quick his cuts are even better when he's doing his slant routes and in the middle that's what we've heard all about in training camp is how he's getting the separation so I'm super stoked to see what he can do versus the Rams it's going to be such a great test for Jameson Williams and all liance fan base because we've been hearing about J and and his potential and how well he has performed on the practice field but again you got to do it in real game time and guess what he wasn't in preseason so we get to actually finally see it matter of fact we get to finally see this whole offense starting offense starting defense we've barely played any starters at all in all of preseason and it primarily defensive starters that did play of the lack thereof anyway so now we get to see all the starters we get real football here this is not preseason no one cares that you go 3-0 or 4-0 in preseason it means nothing and now
