PS5 PRO ANNOUNCED: PlayStation 5 Pro Launches for November 7 for $700 USD

all right guys so I do want to apologize for doing this a little late I've just been extremely busy but now uh let's take a look at the PS5 Pro announcement uh we're going to have Mark cery as you can see up here anyway let's take a look I did press play right yeah yeah hi I'm Mark I'm excited okay I got to turn this town just a little bit to be here to talk about the addition to yeah sure you did PlayStation Pro and how it advances gaming techology but first I $700 inin and so we got the uh physical and digital Edition there's no optical drive although you could you could add on an uh CD drive though at least to the newer uh digital Edition can aot theable of course it did of and enable complex gam playay with character counts reaching into the hundreds what is this game and frame rates that can be as high Borderlands is this Borderland PS5 has a power rdna2 GPU can rer fromet was that t no woong or wo Hawk visual improvements St Wars Reflections off of water or glass and the realism that comes that's not Avatar is it oh it is Avatar ret and Clank transition between game worlder so traversal speeds are essentially unlimited um I'm going to pause this for a second I wonder if they'll make a Spider-Man 3 uh a g a game I'm not talking about the movies but just uh a Spider-Man 3 that would be kind of cool now that I think about it I know the uh there actually was a Spider-Man 3 video game based on the movie but I'm talking about the um Insomniac title A brings an unparalled sense of immersion to the sound of the game uhoh with audio so real you may not even need to see the enemies uh what is I forgot the name control no not control I don't remember the name of this game okay let's keep going but was this the game that you had to play for eight hours before you can get to your first save or something I mean it may not be eight hours for everyone but it was one of those types of games but I can't remember the title they wish I had my water in here controlls that your your character inside of the game it's wonderful to see such variety and richness of game experience I played a little bit of control I need to stream it performance the dreams of the developers are bigger than could be supported at 60 frames per second and that leads to an aspect of modern gaming that we're all familiar with Graphics it can be a difficult choice forers I'd rather go Fidelity mod emphasize the visuals typically through higher resolution rendering I'd rather have higher frame rate if if if I had to have one or the other like say say oh no you can have 120 FPS at 1080P or play the game at 60 FPS at 1080P or uh excuse me or uh 4K 2160p I think I'd rather go with 120 FPS unless it was like I mean obvious maybe if the game was like going to look 240p I I don't know then I would probably go with this 1080p at 60 FPS or U 2160p 60 FPS um but I mean for the most part 99% of the time I'm going to prefer higher frame rate than performance than Graphics but the games only run at 30 frames the visuals can be Cho yeah I was reading that uh some people were kind of upset about that and the contr respons performance mod emphase frame ghost of sushima I need to get that I have it on PS4 I just never opened it but I'd rather play it on pcing oh look at that that that kind of looks cool there not a big diff well I mean somebody if someone's watching this later they probably oh Sonic we disagree this one on the right is um much better I mean yes it is better but it looks pretty similar though yeah no doubt this one on this side is better though graphical detail until those frame rates can be achieved when asked to decide on the mode players are choosing performance about 34 of the time probably sounds about rights that the game creators aspire to the high frame rates the players typically prefer to do that PS5 Pro substantially improves over PlayStation 5 in three ways here's what we call the big three first we made the GPU much larger and increased the speed of the memory it uses 2 go back go back go back go back so 67% compute units 28% faster Ram up to for okay larger GPU R tracing tring taking a streamlined and accelerated approach that allows calculation of the Rays at Double or even triple the speeds of PlayStation 5 and finally we added custom hardware for machine learning and an AI Library called PlayStation spectral super resolution pssr shouldn't it be PS SSR pssr but whatever hold on wait wait wait wait wait yeah oh hold on no no I pssr maybe it should be PS SSR pssr cuz we say when you talk yeah you know PlayStation 5 you'll say PS5 you're not going to say P5 maybe they think that's too many s's extraordinary amount of detail which boosts the effective resolution of the games game creator are adding PS5 support to and ex I don't think I'm ass like similar to the PS4 Pro I'm guessing that there's not going to be any exclusive games now whether that remains the remains to be the case forever I say forever but you know as you know until their uh new console someone's talking in the hallway um then I I don't know I mean unlike Nintendo you had the Game Boy to the Game Boy Color which was a miden upgrade yes it was the Game Boy Light the Game Boy Light was pretty much the same as the Game Boy just it was uh brighter um The Game Boy Color was more of an upgrade to the Game Boy because yeah there were a ton of exclusives on there but it was still the same generation but when you went to like the 3DS to the 3DS to new Nintendo 3DS um and then the same for 2DS um you didn't get as many exclusives but there were some exclusives that would not play on the regular 3DS or 2DS but uh so far it doesn't seem to be that way with the pro um at least for the PS4 I would imagine PS5 Pro will be the same but maybe down the line something will change I don't know be part two looks pretty good at 60 FPS it might actually be 120 but this video only goes up to 60 FPS frames second oh it is okay let's compare this to the Fidelity mode on PS5 oh yeah look at her hand um it looks more realistic on the left side than the right side but you have a well you can't tell now cuz it's stuck on a frame so you got zero well I guess now it's 1 FPS but you get what I'm saying um this was 60 FPS this one is well yeah 30 FPS or below 30 FPS but around 30 FPS I'd say 205 to 30 FPS only running Yeah so basically 30 need to PC titles including Marvel Spider-Man 2 and Ratchet and Clank Rift apart we can see that PS5 Pro is close to doubling the power of PlayStation 5 another way to compare the two consoles is to look at PS5 Pro versus performance mode on PS5 both of which Target 60 frames second what we see here is a difference in detail PS5 Pro is much sharper and crisper than PS5 okay yeah I can see my fav is parade scene from ret and Clank details are clearer okay I agree with that we can see Marvel Spider-Man 2 is noticeably higher resolution throughout the scene including the trees and procedural cars so overall some remarkable Improvement the game on PS5 we can see increased sharp to the graphics or SM and more responsive gamepl this is the big three showing your value as you've been seeing machine learning via the pssr library is being used quite broadly to add pixel detail Well yeah if you zoom in of course it's going to be all pixelated maybe one day they can get that to look better I I don't know but I think we're pretty far away considering this is the PS5 Pro and it still looks like this but you're typically not going to be staring at something that close UPSR library is being used quite broadly to add pixel detail and boost frame yeah but they're so small that you shouldn't actually notice it unless you intentionally zoom in but there many approaches Asin the increas in ra GPU power is being especially effective for Horizon forbidden West apart from the detail boost that extra graic is allowing for improvements to lighting and visual effects as well as to the hair and the skin in cinematics open up guys J of's orders good enough for me Ray tracing is finding broad usage as well particularly when the games are focused on higher frame rates the faster hardware and PS5 Pro can make a real difference allowing Grand Turismo 7 to add r okay I was like what is that game I was going to say uh Forza but that's uh uh Microsoft support their targeted 60 frames second that boost in R tring is also delivering big wins for Hogwarts Legacy oh look at that only I keep forgetting I have that on the switch fur in Shadows I hope you've enjoyed this run through of the technology behind PlayStation 5 Pro simply put it's the most powerful console we've ever built and ay addition to the let me wrap this up by giving you ack look at a number of games at least is friendly a little too friendly though like look at that smile h no no no no no no no no hold on hold on uh I didn't realize I was going to play music okay is set the trailer um I don't I'm going to have it muted because of uh copyright Assassin's Creed Shadows Spider-Man Hogwarts Legacy I wonder if that'll get a sequel Horizon what else do we have I'm not sure what game this is okay there we go oh yeah so of course the price point so um um Fable November 7th uh pre-orders open later this month uh from on the PlayStation direct at least their website no it's not like Nintendo Direct like a presentation it's just that's what they're like their online stores called or whatever um correct me if I'm wrong though anyway so we got the PS5 Pro um I don't see I don't believe this has a optical drive um I thought there was an optical drive option but maybe that's an add-on anyway so you got $699 uh yeah so in the US and the UK it's going to be $699 yeah so $699 and then 699b uh so basically 700 and Europe you got 7 excuse me 800 euros and then we got Japan uh basically 120,000 yen uh now it says includes tax obviously I don't yeah that doesn't literally mean taxes included the price so you're going to be paying more if if you live somewhere where there's a sales tax it's and it's you pay $6.99 you're going to be paying more than $6.99 but that's common sense I I get what they're saying it's just could have been worded differently though but anyway um oh vertical stand sold separately that doesn't surprise me didn't the uh original PS5 and PS5 digital Edition do that too anyway but that is expensive is it going to be similar to like the PS3 where it was so expensive that it didn't sell very well at first and then like two years later they lowered the price and then the PS3 sold fine but it could have I I think the PS3 could have easily reached over a 100 million units but I think part of the reason it didn't was because um of the original price point for like the first first uh several months or first year or whatever anyway okay so yeah it's obviously more powerful twice as powerful I guess from what it sounds like um so what do we have just we got a black screen for the rest okay that that's that's nice good job Sony I want well this was originally I wonder if it was originally a live stream and it was supposed to say something and then they edited it and forgot to edit this part out I don't know but uh yeah let me know what you guys think of the PS5 Pro um a little disappointing I mean like say if the PS5 Pro was the PS5 back into in 2020 in 2020 you know I I think people you know I still think $700 is expensive but uh say if they sold it if they sold it in 2020 I don't think people would be as as upset about it but I I don't know maybe it could sell fine for all I know but I'm I'm kind of thinking it's going to be similar to the PS3 but I could be wrong I could very well be wrong you know I've been wrong before I'm sure I'll
