Aaron Glenn expects the Detroit Lions to have a 'DARN GOOD DEFENSE'

in just over 24 hours from the making of this video you guys we will be watching the Detroit Lions host the LA Rams in game one of the NFL season and while the last time these two teams played was in January the 14th to be exact as the Detroit Lions beat Matthew Stafford in the LA Rams in a 2423 win and back in 2021 Stafford won in his place so right now we are one and one when it comes to these two guys facing off against their old teams and the Detroit Lions their offense was on point ranked top three for most of the season for a little while we were the number one offense but it's the defense that's been lacking and there's been a guy that in my opinion has gotten away with a lot his name is Aaron Glenn you see him on the thumbnail now again my job is not to upset you but sometimes that's what I do and it's a role that I embrace whether you like it or not I don't mean to sound brass but I'll tell you the way I'm feeling at the end of this video Aaron Glenn has marginally improved the defense now when I bring this up a lot of y'all don't want to talk about this the responsibility for our defense falls on someone now you don't have to blame specifically one person but you've got to blame someone right there is a for every action there's a reaction right so if it's the if it's not the players is it the coaches if it's not the coaches is it the GM if it's not the GM is it the head coach right when when I say coaches I mean positional coach now in 2022 we fired Aubrey Pleasant after the Miami Dolphins game a game in which we were winning at half time and we just they blew the lid off and went crazy that second half and AR president was fired after that right Aaron Glenn to me I know this is not the the reality because Dan Campbell thinks he's a darn good coach and that's that's what we're going to see that's why everything is darn good because that is Aaron Glenn's motto is darn good but without further Ado we going to talk a little bit later about some of my thoughts on this here Aaron Glenn when I saw him get in front of the media yesterday I said I had to talk about this got the trusty writing and reading notebook so this is some points that I saw from Aaron Glenn's press conference yesterday asked about Alim mcneel and Aiden Hutchinson and that they have gotten better both of them and that he expects both to dominate this year but specifically Aiden Hutchinson to potentially be one of the best if not the best defensive player and lineman in the NFL that's how much face faith he has in Aiden Hutchinson seeing him at the end of last year in practice in training camp that Hutch is a man and actually have a video about him it's either going to release tonight or tomorrow about Hut I think you guys are going to like but that those two guys are they're going to be dominant this year which I do believe and you're going to see this man this is going to be a reoccurring theme it was so reoccurring curing had to put it on the on the banner he asked about terion Arnold and that he's a darn good player he's a darn good player and he showed his leadership his maturity when there was a play a situation happened in practice and he was ready to move on he was like we going to move on on to the next play he was able to shake it off and continue getting better that the Detroit Lions are going to continue to be good at the Run they were good at the run last year and good defending the run this year so look forward to that talked about Jack Campbell and the growth that Jack Campbell has had that he's uh he's evolving into a leader in year two and I think Jack Campbell was a guy that kind of went under the radar he was picked after jir Gibbs 18th overall you come in you not really starting you don't take the World by storm just kind of a slow but one thing that they said last year is that this guy's a football player and he fits what the Detroit Lions are trying to do speaking of fits what the Detroit Lions are trying to do y'all don't understand I'm super giddy right now I'm super giddy because there's nothing more that I wanted to hear than that we're gonna have a darn good defense that Marcus Davenport he's violent he's strong that he is a guy that fits the Detroit Lions defense now my issue with Marcus Davenport is the inability to stay healthy however if he stays healthy he's got massive potential he's not the break the bank dude he's not the household name but maybe he can be one we'll see right the jury is still out on this guy on the this guy so we're going to see but again the the overlying theme is darn good that's he used it all the time meaning Aaron Glenn darn good talked about safety Brian branch and how Brian branch is a football player but he's a safety who can play at nickel we haven't really seen him back at that safety role but we're going to see him now Tracy Walker's gone Brian branch is going to be our starting one of our starting safeties so we're going to see the full extent of Brian Branch safety abilities this year I am excited my favorite part said what should we expect out of this defense expect a darn good defense and Dan Campbell kind of echoed those sentiments about it being very good we've heard about this now you got to you got to forgive me forgive me for being just a little lery a little hesitant now is this the best team we've had absolutely are we stacked on the back end absolutely are we in position to be a darn good defense absolutely but just like last year when we heard all the same things coming out of camp we weren't that we got better from 20122 but we weren't we were good in the in stopping the Run we were not good at getting to the quarterback we were not good at stopping the pass we were not good at points per game but we are expecting that this year so I'm ready I am super giddy y'all don't understand if I didn't want to wear a clown suit I wouldn't have put that out there I want to wear a clown suit as a matter of fact I was thinking about it the other day I was like hm if we get to if they if I wear the clown suit let's say it's like week 15 and I go to one of these games that I could wear that joint to a game like that's how much I want to see this defense improve because that ladies and gentlemen is the missing link the defense remote if it it doesn't even have to catch up to the offense we don't need a we don't we we would love a top 10 defense but our offense is so overpowered oped as the kids say that we just need a top 15 I mean give us a top 20 but a top 15 top 10 if the Lions had a top 10 defense we win the Super Bowl last year the Kansas City Chiefs don't stop us the San Francisco 49ers don't stop us the offense Rose we sto them right so there's nothing more than I want than to see a darn good defense talked about Josh Pascal and that he understands who he is this year going into year three right he was drafted in the SEC second round he was part of that Jameson Williams those those guys that came with James and Jameson Williams trade via Matthew Stafford right that Josh Pasco understands who he is and this is a guy him and Levi I think Levi was a little bit more on the bubble but Pascal I am excited to see Josh battling cancer battling injury him and both Le Levi and if those guys can step up and be the picks in which they were drafted second and second round both of them right cuz Al was third round in 2021 Levi was second Josh was second round in 2021 so two second round picks that if they can live up to their second round potential then they could be we could very well have a darn good defense talked about Jameson Williams going against terion Arnold and what does he expect to see from him and he said he said he expect for J Mo to do what he do which is run past people and we expect that too Aaron so we are looking forward to that and he talked about DJ reer how DJ reader is a man man and speaking of DJ reader DJ reader has not been ruled out for the game on Sunday I think that he is going to be a game time decision because it's already Friday and he is actually listed on the injury report as questionable so that is a good sign that to me is looking like a game time decision so that would mean that 90 minutes prior when that final injury report is in we will hear if DJ reader is going to play so what are my thoughts okay so let me just say this first I'm not going to do a week one prediction preview uh it's not because the videos don't do well I'm going to continue them for next week but I was on with Jake Ellen Bogan a lot of you guys are familiar with him a Rams fan who runs uh the self-name Youtube channel I was in with him if you want to hear my thoughts on the first game then go over there check out that video but you know I I realized this man man that you know how people say like if if if if people don't hate you ain't doing something right and I saw that you know a lot of people in the comment section cannot stand me and that's okay that's okay because I rather be disliked and tell the truth then or have tantrums and fits and cry and all that stuff man y' I I much rather be that guy and labeled as that guy than the guy that that wants to be liked because that guy is going to lie to you that person is going to lie to you whether or not my Tantrums are y'all don't understand this is entertainment this is entertainment okay and if you've met me if you went to the game with me you know I'm just like this if you went to a watch party I'm just like this nothing about me changes right so anyway that's enough of that so you guys know I shouldn't have to keep saying it but I feel like I do but again being on YouTube man you feel that I feel I feel the love I feel the love don't get it twisted but you couple things went to the Lo uh lions loyal member yesterday uh the at the open house at fortfield and I'm going to try to get on the wait list in October for at least two tickets I don't know how long it is right now I've heard 15 20,000 so I'm going to try to get in get on in October but I was invited by a subscriber uh he goes by lions all day or Nasty Nate uh in the comment section he invited me to the the open house yesterday and as I'm walking in I see a guy I didn't get his name I don't like to bother people when they're you know and this is all new to me so I don't like oh let's get a picture let's do this so he's coming out with a TV and uh he was able to get a TV from Ford Field Ford Field was upgrading their television so they were selling TVs for $50 so you missed out but he comes out soon as I soon as he comes out he's like what's up Syndicate I'm like he's a he's an older gentleman as well so he's like what's up Syndicate I was like what's up man so we top it up I'm like you had a TV like yeah man 50 bucks they were essentially giving him away and he said um I said thanks for supporting the channel man he was like keep up to good work like I was like thank and I've got Brad Holmes and another thing too this this is phenomenal like I was as I was walking from Ford Field and I said first thing I said was Derrick you gota you got to become you got to get season tickets man you got to get them um because I think I think they've earned it you know your whole life you lived in Michigan and they've never earned it like they've earned it now but now it's too late and I got to get on a weit list but it's okay cuz I rather have that than free tickets right but as I'm walking out I'm like man it really sunk in as as the people that rock with me right and this right here um is a first of all check out the the check out this it's um velvet what is that velvet it's it's a like a velvet suede um kind of case check this out man a a pen of a coin of some sort that says NFC North Champions and in between on the left and right side of North is 2023 so it looks it literally looks just like the kind of like the t-shirt and it looks just like the the banner as well shout out to Nate without Nate wouldn't have had that and the other guys everyone else man JBL Dylan everyone else who's invited me to a game uh at no cost even though I offer it um who has made sure that I'm there and it's just it's surreal in a way right so let me just say this we all want the same thing we all want the same thing we want to win and whether or not I was on YouTube or sitting on my couch I'm gonna do the same thing I'm a fan that's what I do am I overly critical I could be do I have Tantrums probably do I yell at the camera I do but I know that a lot of y'all like that because I'm not sitting like the Terminator right I'm not the Terminator I want your clothes your keys and your motorcycle I'm not the Terminator I'm a human I'm emotional this is my team and for me this football team means much more than the game that they're playing as a native of Detroit a current resident of the surrounding suburbs of Detroit and my mom still lives in Detroit this
