[Music] now for the results from you out there the public vote all the points have been collected from across europe in the same way as the national juries we are ready to reveal the winner of the eurovision song contest 2021 but first let's explain how it's going to work the points you see in the board right now represent the votes of the professional juries but everything will change because these are only half of tonight's votes the other half are the points from you the viewers all around europe the order you see on the board is the same order we are going to use to announce the public results all right i think we're ready for this we start with the country that has received the lowest number of points from the professional juries and that is the united kingdom and we will go up country by country until we reach switzerland which is now in the lead with the most points given by the juries let's find out the winner of the eurovision song contest 2021 and as we've just explained we will begin with the country that is now in last place that is united kingdom and the united kingdom gets from the public zero points [Applause] we move on to germany that's a big round of public has given you 20 points all right 11 countries left we now go to finland finland has received 218 points and that means finland is in the lead right now okay edging towards that moment of truth just 10 results to go the moment that millions of people out there have been waiting for 10 songs still waiting for points and from those last 10 the winner will be revealed all right deep breath as we said we have 10 countries left next up is greece greece has received from the public 79 points [Applause] okay let's move on to ukraine [Applause] ukraine the public has given you are you ready 267 [Applause] points is in the lead now all right only eight countries left and next up is russia russia are you ready you have received from the public 100 points [Applause] okay let's move on to portugal portugal get ready to get from the public 27 points [Music] moving on to bulgaria bulgaria has received from the public 30 points only five countries left let's move on to iceland iceland the public you are getting 180 points [Applause] we move on we move on to italy italy get ready to receive from the public 318 points italy is now in first position italy is in the league the level of excitement here is just ridiculous three countries waiting for the results from the public vote and i promise you it's not going to be long now italy is in the lead with 524 points but maybe one of these countries still waiting for points will jump out in front or maybe not italy is in the league but three countries still haven't received their points from the public yet and those countries are malta france and switzerland okay we're well why do we wait now aren't we it's an elites with 524 points but we all know things can still change we move on to malta malta has received from the public to receive their points from the public vote so the winner can be either italy or one of the two countries that haven't received their points from the public yet france or switzerland it feels like is balancing on this pivotal moment so only one country left italy is currently in first place and switzerland has not received their points yet one of you will be the winner of the eurovision song
