2024-25 UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DRAW REACTION

all right guys back with another one it's your boy dond this is Dominic Rich FC and this is me reacting to the 20242 UA Champions League League phase draw the first ever League phase draw in the Champions League the revamped champions league and as I said in my live stream guys we have to learn to accept and adapt to new things we can't be watch in the or you know excuse me being used to the same old routine things pardon me I just had some um some Jamaican breakfast there some Golden Crust you know had myself some cornmeal porridge you know I mean so it's just settling so pardon me there but um you can't be you know closed off you can't be small-minded you feel me myopic you got to have a open mind and be ready to accept new challenges and new things and you know just switch it up because listen times are changing and if you're not adapting and you're not accepting of new things the world is going to move on from you let me just put that out there so new champions league and new mindset I hope it produce some really really really exciting football matches and I think it will so before I even get into how I feel about the the draw and all of that guys smash the the Thumbs the competition if you're a Liverpool fan watching this Smash Up the Thumbs Up Button if you're a city fan Arsenal fan Aston Villa fan Real Madrid Barcelona savenia vesda and you know all the other clubs man smash up the thumbs up button but you know I'm a premier league guy so I will be focusing primarily on the Premier League clubs but um I also want to look at what some of the bigger teams have to um face up in this competition so the first team that was ever drawn in this new Champions League um draw was Manchester City and that's my team but we we're going to leave City for second right um in part one so basically if you don't already know the way how the the champions league is this season season it's revamped from 32 teams to 36 teams where it's no longer a group phase but a league phase the pots were splitted up into nine um four four pots nine teams in each partt so that means um you know each team will play two teams from their part so so let's say City got two teams from part one two from part two two two from part three two from part four to make it eight different teams four of the matches will be at home and four will be on the road which is very exciting you know and um the teams cannot play another team from the same Association nor could they play more than two teams from another Association so man city can play Barcelona Real Madrid and atleti in the same um you know setup and I think they were unable to face Jona who are part of the City group so that's pretty much a gist of how things are the pots were organized according to the coefficient rankings for each club and not the position in which they finish in the various leagues you see what I mean so um yeah of course if you win your league and your league at one spot you're going to qualify but in terms of where you are in the pot it's going to vary according to where you stand in the UA coefficient rankings so um Real Madrid guys Real Madrid so what I'm actually going to do I'm going to actually screen record my progress so you guys could see exactly what I'm looking at right now so I don't leave you like in the dark I need to cllean my throat pardon me Real Madrid so they will face bosia dartman at home Liverpool on the road Road AC Milan At Home Atlanta on the road Red Bull salsburg at home leil on the road stutgart at home and breast away so I think their Champions League start starts out really you know tough but is it going to be really tough for Real Madrid who are the holders but um yeah they're coming up against the the the finalist from last season which is um baruo dund they came in second you know you know that's what baruo dund love to do come in second never thought that they would have won the Champions League once they face up against Real Madrid so the Liverpool Real Madrid Meetup there that's that's going to be a good one that's going to be a tough game for them at anfield don't get me wrong Liverpool do lose matches in the Champions League at anfield but the fact that it's it's at anfield is going to be a challenge for Real Madrid AC Milan a hit hit or miss in the Champions League so who knows that might be a walk in the park for Real Madrid At Home Atlanta you know that might be a challenging match but I think after but you can't really underestimate the smaller teams because smaller teams have given Real Madrid trouble in the past but let's just be be be frank Hy the salsburg Le stutgart and breast game should be a walk in the park for Real Madrid Note I said should but Real Madrid shouldn't be complacent and should take every opponent serious but let's say they're in a position where they need points at the back end I think they have a very very um you know easy um run there in my opinion so yeah Real Madrid should and I'm going to let you guys know if I think they the team should move on to the round of 16 but and so on and so forth Real Madrid should finish top eight they really should finish top eight with this draw that they have here it it's pretty easy in my opinion so for Manchester City I think it's even easier for for my team inter the team that city won the Champions League final against that'll be a home match and that'll be even better for City PSG away man city has a very good record against PSG in the Champions League recently Club buger I think we play Club Brer recently in the Champions League that's an easy game man no listen I'm not underestimating teams but we should win that game that's a home game Juventus Juventus are not the team that they used to be they don't have the Firepower that they used to have that's an away game so it could be a challenge but seeing what man city has has have done over the last couple of Seasons it should be a formality as well and and I'm not even going to get into these other games man fard sportan Sparta praa slovan Bratislava debutants guys Man City should win these games by multiple goals I mean like 45 nil or 41 51 those kind of score lines you know teams got to be be very careful not to be too complacent in terms of um in terms of complacent in terms of taking up opponents for granted you know you can't do that and I don't know if the the setup right now is for the um the the schedule I think they said the schedule was coming out on Saturday so this might not be the order in which you know the teams are going to play so pardon me when I said that Real Madrid might have a easy run in at the back end there that that's a mistake that's a mistake I think it's set up according to the pots so in life you have to admit that you made a mistake you apologize and you move so yeah we got to get a move on though got a lot of teams to go through here Bayern Munich they play PSG again they've been playing a PSG a lot these days Barcelona Benfica shakar dunet denimo Zagreb fut slovan Bratislava and Aston Villa I think they have a very um kind fixture list as well and and they should they should make it to the top eight under the new man vinon company guys um let me say this let me say this it's going to be tough tougher for the teams that are in part three and four because the opponents that are in top um the part one and two are historically better opponents hence the reason why they in those parts because they high under the UEFA rankings based on their recent performances so it's going to be tough and I mean really tough for these teams in Parts three and four but what's also going to be exciting is to see them come up against each other is to see them tole some of the bigger teams see see some of the upsets that's going to happen and it's important for let's say an Aston Villa to win those matches against the the the the teams in in part four and the teams in part three and get one or two results against the better opponents to give the themselves a chance to even make it to the The Knockout playoff or even the top eight man guys if you if you think one of these teams from part three or part four are going to make it to the top eight also let me know so that's not a bad um running for um Bayern Munich for PSG Man City Bayern Munich atletic Arsenal that's tough that is tough PSV salsburg Jona and stutgart a tricky some tricky games man some tricky games right off the bat I think I'm going to say that um PSG with mbappe not at the club anymore and you know I'm not really familiar with some of the new signings that they made especially that Portuguese kid I think PSG are not going to make the top eight let me just put that out there let's move on to Liverpool Liverpool has Real Madrid at home Leipzig away licus at home AC Milan away these could be some tricky fixtures but I think it's a nav some navigable games for um for Liverpool there coming up against Le PSV bolognia and Jona I think on his slot and his boys could definitely pull off a top eight finish with this fixture list maybe even a top five it's going to be cool to see who plays top of the league though that's going to be fun to see but look I think basically I'm not underestimating any opponent here you know I'm not going to say this team you know bu I'm I'm not but um I'm just saying for Liverpool of course the toughest match is against Real Madrid and most of the other games they should actually pick up a result I think the Milan away at the sanero would be a tough match and all the other games it should be winnable or even you know a game where Liverpool could pick up a point to be honest let's keep it real I think Liverpool got a is it fair to say that Liverpool got a easier J at Manchester City um yeah yeah I think it's a bit easier you guys might disagree but I think it's easier so for intern Al in Milano they have life Zig Man City Arsenal lusen then they have vesda young boys Monaco and Sparta praha not bad not bad but this one is a bit tough to gauge though um should finish in the top eight should definitely finish in the top eight man yeah I think I think top eight is is is a given for them you know definitely cross how are you man hi hi hi yeah so that's my coworker he lives around here and him and his wife I think that's his wife they walk up and down the block I need to start walking too so not about fixt list there for inter dman they have Barcelona Real Madrid Shak donet Club rer Celtic denimo stormr and bologna this this should be some exciting games because dman are like very iffy they either hot or cold but um last season they were hot lost a few players you know Marco Roy I think Sano um the left back that they had from Chelsea um maybe a few other players guys I think moku I don't think moku was heavily involved but um it's going to be interesting to see how they fair this season not 100% um you know a a dartman expert I'm not going to act like I am but um yeah it's not a bad fixture list at all for Leipzig they got Liverpool inter Juventus atleti they also have sporting Celtic Aston Villa and stgrass let me say um dment let me go back and say dartman I think they'll finish top eight liip Zig they won't finish top eight they won't they won't finish top eight would a team from part one not qualify to The Knockout phase at all by finishing below 25 it's a possibility but I doubt that's going to happen I doubt but it could happen as for Barcelona they have Bayern Munich Dortmund Atlanta Benfica young boys vesda breast and Monaco top eight should be some easy games for Barcelona but you know it's a Champions League man it is a champions league on paper we know the game's not played on paper but that's what we we gauging it from right now it should be easy fixture you know from judging from um Barcelona's quality in this squad lusen German champ Champions they were Invincible unbeaten all throughout their League season and only lost a single game which was the Europa League final last season just a single game last season they have inter Liverpool Milan atleti salsburg fard Sparta praa and breast it's going to be tough it's going to be tough because let me tell you man picking up three points against the first the teams from part one and two there are going to be tough that's going to be tough so they got to look for the the you know the part three and four teams to get 12 points put themselves in a good position so how many points would be a good point tally here so from eight games you have a possible 24 points let's say 15 and above might put you in a good position four wins three draws four wins three draws a loss yeah 15 and above will put you in a good position I think for Atletico Madrid you got Leipzig Paris San liver cusan Benfica Le salsburg slovan Bratislava and Sparta praha atleti you know they are they they very defensive minded team very hard to break down could be negative at times uh and I think they have a very very kind fixture list here but um it's it's a tough one because are we going to get an an atleti on fire or an Atley team that's like cold and struggling to score goals and you know just playing some some some struggle struggle ball they should be okay I think they should compete really um it should compete for a top eight finish Atlanta these games are going to be exciting Real Madrid Barcelona Arsenal Shaka Celtic young boys stmr and St guard I say no top eight but they're going to um they're going to be in the running for The Knockout playoff of course so I don't want to go through each and every um team but let's look at the other English teams let's look at um what you call it Arsenal PSG inter Shaka Atlanta denimo Zagreb sportting Monaco and Jona Arsenal should finish in the top eight the PSG game the inter game those are going to be their toughest matches but I think all the other games they should actually you know A Farewell and they should be able Arsenal should be able to pick up at least four wins let me not say four five wins five wins will give you 15 points Arsenal should be able to pick up five wins from these games so in terms of the the other teams I want to actually touch on I'm not going to go through the smaller teams but let's take a look at Deno Zagreb they have dund life um not Li but dartman Bayern Munich AC Milan Arsenal and those are going to be really tough matches look out for the home games though AC Milan and Dortmund they're going to have a tough times in Zagreb so Celtic I did click you know Celtic by mistake and kind of mess up my progress there but um yeah let me go back Celtic salsburg Monaco and slan Bratislava these are going to be the games that they're going to look to pick pick up their points against but it is also going to be tough matches because you're playing teams of you know that's that's equal or a little better than you so um yeah I'm going to say this one is a tough one this one is a tough one though cadima pick up over 10 points here so going to be tough uh it's going to be hard though it's going to be hard I could see Den picking up about seven points here about seven points would that be enough it's left to be seen man it's left to be seen it's the first time we're seeing this competition so we don't really know for sure what's enough and what's not enough so it's left to be seen so um in terms of um AR Aston Villa not Arsenal but Aston Villa here Bayern Munich leig Juventus Club buger Celtic young boys bolognia and Monaco the thing is it's It's Tricky but they have unai emry who's a Europa League expert and he's an expert in European competition so um he's won it multiple times at seevilla and at vial so um I think Aston Villa could put themselves in a really good position to to compete for a top eight spot but I think they'll be at least vying for around a 16th spot let me just put that out there and then we'll go from there when we um when we get to that point so it's going to be really tough for teams like Sturm grass teams like breast and teams like let's say young boys because guys the thing is you're coming up against at least four very tough opponents and at least four beatable opponents and that's one of the genius I think when it comes to the competition you have some tougher games and you have some easier games but we all know the easier games it could end up and and and be a flip where the easier games on paper might be the toughest games and the tougher games on paper might be the easiest games because the teams that let's say the Lesser teams from part three and four they're going to go hard you see what I'm saying they're going to go really hard they're going to play their best teams whilst when you have the likes of Liverpool City Arsenal Real Madrid and cod they might actually rotate their teams when they are coming up against a lesser team that a team that they they feel they could beat or should beat you see what I'm saying so the competition I think is definitely well poised and it's promised you know um to be exciting and I'm anticipating you know a really really good League phase here I will be following it avidly I will come back and talk about all the results I try to watch all the highlight and just come back and touch on the results with you guys and just discuss things may not able to go live all the time I don't trust my my phone to go live because I have Verizon and the service just sucks and I don't want to be live and then it's choppy I want to give you guys some quality you know so I just rather record it and go straight off the top I just prefer to do that so the The Opening match they will be on the 17th 18th and 19th and that would be the one exclusive week for the champ I League where there will be no Europa League or conference league matches in that week and the same would be for the Europa League and the conference League when they do have the exclusive week so the first week would be a massive week and the fixtures are not out yet I don't think they are but when they do you know I'll try to make some predictions and you know just do some exciting stuff on the channel this season so guys I don't want to be much longer here um I've already been a bit long- winded but um it's going to be fun man it's definitely going to be fun and you know are you ready are you ready for some entertainment in the Champions League are you ready to hear the Champions League Anem cuz I am so guys and the other thing is I know people going to say things about City and all of this and all of that but guess what city do have a Champions League now so you know I know people going to still talk people going to still
