getting bonuses and add-ons with Liverpool winning The League Cup last season with Liverpool qualifying for the top four and also Luis Diaz in terms of his goals and assists but I think his goals output needs improving he he is a one goal per four games attacker needs to improve on that and so far so good this season he's definitely massively improved on AR slau so far he has 27 goals and 14 assists in 101 appearances so he has just 24 goals and 13 assists in 98 games but this season three goals and one assist in three games is absolutely phenomenal a return and I think Luis Diaz has a new spring in his step just like a lot of other players at Liverpool new manager we want to Liverpool players want to prove themselves to the new manager and everybody is starting fresh and mosta even admitted that he was out of his comfort zone again it's quite tricky to say we had yug club for seven years so you kind of get in your comfort zone somehow he was always trying to push us outside our comfort zone but you know if you are with the manager for 7 years somehow you get into your comfort zone but with a new manager he comes with his style and he just wants everybody to adapt and maybe Liverpool are looking to give Lis Diaz a new contract me before moving on to the big free fond Salah and trox Swan because Lis Diaz will will have less leverage to demand a higher salary before the others are getting a new contract imagine if uh you know Trent gets like 250k Salah gets 400k fun gets like 300K Luis Diaz definitely would demand a lot higher salary and right now here is the big breakdown of the base salaries of players so Salah is the highest earner with £350,000 per week jot and Nunes are on 140,000 per week Cody gako is on 120 and Luis Diaz on 55,000 but he's definitely deservedly getting a new contract and I want to give you guys a little bit of a reinsurance about you know fondik and Salah not getting new contracts potentially because of his age because of their age look at how they were treated before in the past and look at how Edwards deviated from his own strategy towards all the players to keep them fak was given his last deal when he was 30 years old so already a pretty Advanced age for a li for a player and he was recovering from an ACL injury funai got a big new contract that takes him until he's 34 years old Salah at 30 uh he got a club record deal that takes him to 33 so both are outliers in how unique they are in profile quality and relative to their age so I expect these contracts to get sorted above all else with those two they are a perfect example Liverpool know when they are on a good thing and know the superior quality they bring compared to if we let either of them go for free or with the year left in their 30s and they showed already this season how Irreplaceable they are but they have showed that for the throughout their whole career so I think Liverpool will sort out all three of these players contracts they look
